For the most part our stay was very good..We were staying at the Best Western Manor Hotel whilst attending the Grand Design 25th Anniversary Show at the NEC. The room was very good, the reception staff were a bit sedate, I think because they had 2 weddings on and were busy. The Restaurant was very good, a beatiful meal & great staff. Great comfy bed. Slept like a log. The absolute downside was that when I got up, washed and sorted I found that my car had been stolen from the hotel car park. The reception manager wasn't overly helpful (3 times asked if he'd looked at the CCTV only to be told he'd been too busy) but we'd clearly watched him sat doing nothing. Such a shame & still a week later not been in touch. The hotel had CCTV and a hydraulic bollard for the car park yet still car stolen. I hold Best Western responsible for the theft of my car as much as the thieves themselves.

We’ve been staying here twice a year for about 5 years now, and wholeheartedly recommend it. Always impeccably clean, it has a lovely decor, huge car park, knowledgeable and friendly smile, and it is perfectly positioned to get to the NEC, which is why we use it.

Easy and secure car parking, lovely rooms and great staff. The Bar is reasonable priced with a good selection of beverages. Like many hotels now they don't provide bottle of water in the rooms which is a shame.

Fantastic hotel, we stayed here to attend an event at the NEC which is only a short drive away so very handy for that. The hotel itself looks great inside and out, room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. Breakfast was a buffet and was good. Plenty of onsite parking as well. Can't really fault it, recommended!

Parking v secure behind a locked gate. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. Not 5*, but very nice. Bar was shut when we got back from works party, which was fair enough at 1.30!

Beautiful lobby and restaurants with amazing food. I would rate the lobby and restaurants 5 stars. However, the rooms were a bit disappointing. Our double room was actually two single beds pushed together, and the beds kept shifting — it was a terrible experience trying to sleep comfortably. The toilet in my room didn’t flush properly, and the carpet was dirty and had an unpleasant smell. The windows also don’t open fully, which made it feel stuffy. While the reception and restaurant areas were outstanding, the rooms were a big letdown.

Firstly I must say my rating is because the negatives out way the positives. We did meet with a few amazing staff here and I can’t commend Clair on reception and the lovely lady who brought us room service , you are a true asset to the hotel. Sadly the other encounters we’d not good. Having an ankle injury I asked where the lifts were to avoid the stairs to our room, I was told by the member of staff on reception at night check in the hotel did not have lifts, I reiterated my pain and struggle with my ankle and he said the stairs were the only option,- and n check out with a manger sadly I found not only was there a lift, I should have been offered a change of room, Where my access could have been far easily reached. Secondly on arrival to breakfast it was assumed there were 4 of us, I only booked for three, this did not sit well with me and I knew there would be something come of it, on checkout I was given a bill for just under £200 , so once I questioned this as everything was paid on arrival , it turned out I was charged for another room, this was quickly sorted out. On one of the beds we had black bugs, just a few but a few to many for me this was only noticed on the morning of check out , & one of my party had been itchy after the first nights sleep from the same bed in the family room. Small things also, not enough towels, phone didn’t work to use room service and on reporting from my mobile it was deemed a “dodgy phone” with no offer of assistance…………………

What a lovely hotel. A warm greeting at reception. The room was clean and fresh, with tea/coffee provided. Plenty of parking and it’s a good place for exploring the surrounding area and getting to a variety of venues.

We checked out and I informed the receptionist that the pressure in the shower was very poor and cold water, the bathroom hot tap was spluttering for 30 seconds before running properly and also there was an old toilet roll on the floor in the bathroom when we went in. My partner has also informed me that the sash window was broken- the cord was snapped and hanging down.

Generally OK but this hotel lets itself down in minor details. Clearly has a considerable business clientele but no USB points in room and to plug anything in next to bed you had to disconnect bedside lamp. Internet seemed very erratic and could not get a O2 signal at all. Car park very full more or less all the time and as we came and went often difficult to find a space.

I have stayed in this hotel more than 50 times. The staff are excellent as is the food. However they really need to address the issues with the shower pressure and temperature. Every time I stay I hear the same problems and colleagues also complain. The next time we stay, same problem. It is not acceptable for anyone to leave for work having not showered properly. The basin water is fine so clearly a problem elsewhere particularly on the higher floors.

Everything was great but the rooms were dated and in need of a refresh. TV was not smart, WiFi rubbish in room, no fridge, no tea or coffee stuff and wallpaper coming away from the wall. However, the rest of the communal spaces in the hotel were really nice. The service was friendly and helpful. So I don't think it's a 4 star but if they renewed the rooms it would be.

The windows were the old sash type and rattled in the wind. We had to stuff tissue into the gap to stop them rattling. The towel rail and bathroom fan were not working. Overall we had a comfortable stay and we would stay again. The issues highlighted were minor and did not detract from our stay. I notified the receptionist upon checkout of the issues and she said she would inform maintenance. I feel the issues were easily rectified and had not been done as no one had notified them of the faults previously. Overall a very nice stay.

Where to start? If you are here for business the be warned, the WiFi is non-existent & when queried with the staff it was because they are "out in the sticks"...but advertise themselves as close to NEC (4 miles) so hardly "in the sticks". If you need to be somewhere on the day of check-out you might want to time your exit. Waited in a queue for over 25 minutes just to check-out. The corridors have a damp musty smell & the shower in my room ran a trickle in the morning, probably due to everyone else showing at the same time. They need to sort out the water pressure. Good array on offer for breakfast BUT the bacon, sausage & black pudding were only cooked on one side!! None of the staff seemed empathetic to any of the above when politely mentioned and it certainly didn't seem like any of the above would be rectified. It was almost like they'd heard it all before!!

The room we had was dated in terms of furnishings and decor. It was also noisy, located next to the car park. The heater in the room was noisy during the night. The restaurant and bar area are quite modern. Breakfast was ok but busy and the buffet area is cramped. Wouldn’t stay again.

I have rarely had such a bad experience. The restaurant was closed when I needed to eat (no one bothered to tell me so I was a little stranded), there was a loud private event outside my room (no one bothered to inform me). I was strung along (by Dave) while no one dealt with it. I was jet lagged and needed a good night’s sleep. I was treated with nothing but contempt by the staff. They made it clear that they were more interested in the event going well than people being able to sleep. I suspect they made a good amount from the event, so who cares right? They finally told me that someone would give me compensation upon checkout. Yet again, the young man checking me out had heard nothing about it and appeared to not care at all. He took my email address and assured me someone would email me with compensation on the day. I have heard nothing. I heard a similar thing from other guests. These folks treat guests with contempt. They seem to genuinely not care and it shows. I stay in dozens of hotels each year. This is by far the worst experience and rudest staff I have encountered. The culture appears toxic.

For the most part our stay was very good..We were staying at the Best Western Manor Hotel whilst attending the Grand Design 25th Anniversary Show at the NEC. The room was very good, the reception staff were a bit sedate, I think because they had 2 weddings on and were busy. The Restaurant was very good, a beatiful meal & great staff. Great comfy bed. Slept like a log. The absolute downside was that when I got up, washed and sorted I found that my car had been stolen from the hotel car park. The reception manager wasn't overly helpful (3 times asked if he'd looked at the CCTV only to be told he'd been too busy) but we'd clearly watched him sat doing nothing. Such a shame & still a week later not been in touch. The hotel had CCTV and a hydraulic bollard for the car park yet still car stolen. I hold Best Western responsible for the theft of my car as much as the thieves themselves.

Receptionist was clearly put out by us checking in, so much so that all we got was a ‘yes’ when being greeted. I wasn’t expecting the red carpet but a ‘hello, how are you’ would have been nice. I was then told repeatedly that I’d not booked dinner vouchers, even though I had. Getting directions to our hotel rooms also proved challenging. The directions ‘just go up the stairs’. It turned out to be up the stairs and head to the end of the building with a few lefts and rights. Thank goodness we left our luggage in the car and found a closer entrance out the back. The rooms themselves were ok, a bit dated but really clean. Dinner at the restaurant was apparently ok. Sadly, I didn’t get to eat, sent the steak back twice. I asked for medium, I got rare. The second time I was given a very charred fillet but just as rare and the chef couldn’t have even been bothered to rest it. When telling the Manager, the response was ‘but he cooked it’. It did take absolutely ages for the food to come out, just under an hour. When it arrived, we were missing a side of chips and peppercorn sauce. 3 other tables arrived after us and were served before us plus we made sure to order before the large tables: the ticket must have gotten lost. The waiting staff were friendly but the site poorly managed. 2 staff asked if we were ready to order when we already had and then no one bothered to ask if we wanted more drinks.

The hotel was overbooked. We arrived, as planned, at 10.30 pm. Took 15 minutes to be served. This was because they were trying to find accommodation for other guests that had been overbooked. They found us s room eventually, which had been refurbished, it smelled of paint, but at least we had a bed. The room was smart and well decorated, but there was no hot water to the hand basin, and no water at all to the bath and shower. The phone in the room didn't work. We went down for breakfast, and complained to front desk. We asked for access ti a room where we could shower. Reception told us they would sort it out while we had breakfast. It took a further 10 minutes after breakfast. The hotel sorted olit out in the end, but, not a good e experience.

The hotel is nice so is the restaurant and the bar. But the hotel staff are a bit hopeless. But the staff in the restaurant and the bar are very friendly and welcoming so is the service and the food. Hotel staff not given the right training or the tools to get the job done right I feel sorry for them. BW you have to do better than that. Marco Pierre White well done the food and service are great, and the staff are awesome!!!

Very quirky with British History oozing throughout. It was a special experience, not just a night in a hotel. Only downsize, not a great location but all depends on what you are doing.

very nice hotel, impressive to drive up to. rooms are decent size, comfortable and clean. Staff polite and helpful.Have stayed twice and both times have had a quiet peaceful night. Very handy for the NEC and airport. Couple of pubs within easy walking distance

Excellent location for NEC.Comfortable, spacious room, plenty of storage, large bathroom. Evening menu had plenty of choice, staff were friendly and food was very good but service was really slow: 45 minute wait for main course alone. Would stay again though. Worth noting that hotel is in area with low speed limits and lots of average speed cameras !

The hotel is in a very beautiful building and while the settings are lively, the level of comfort was lousy. The beds in particular were hard as concrete and the pillows even worse. I woke up with the sorest back I’ve ever had. Moreover, upon arrival late at night they couldn’t provide any room service (which had been promised) as “the guy wasn’t there”.

Gluten free options available at breakfast and evening. Rooms are clean and comfortable but dated. Lobby and communal areas very nice and modern. Taxi to NEC 10-15 minutes depends on traffic uber £11 at £484 for executive twin room for two nights half board excellent value compared to hotels near NEC crufts week

Hotel was lovely, I booked a family room and expected a double & single as advertised and pictured....the single however was a very tired sofa bed with a pretty much pointless mattress. Not the end of the world, but our tiny 8yr old daughter struggled to get comfortable or sleep, it would have been no use to an older child or adult. Worth checking this before booking.

The hotel is very dated..we paid extra for an executive room I shudder to think what the normal room was like..wallpaper coming off the walls and very dark in the room..the window wouldn’t open and slug trail across the floor in the morning..I wouldn’t use the hotel again.

Overnight trip to get a motorcycle serviced at Ducati from Scotland. Good secure parking that I want, room was very nice , no air con on a warm night wasn't ideal but a fan was provided in the room which was good. Had dinner in the restaurant which was really good and chilled out on the terraces and patio on a nice summer evening would definitely come back if I'm in that area again and only 12 mins journey to my intended bike destination so a very good experience
