This property is old and the process of doing upgrades, but the bathrooms are open window to outside, windows do not close, so you have to close the bathroom door to keep the mosquitos out. There were 2 bugs in my bed, so I requested a new room. Tue next room was cleaner and no bugs in between the sheets this time. They said the would take the resort fees off of my bill… but they said upon checkout that they needed my card to fix a mistake on my bill and they added the resort fees to my bill last minute. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the food at their restaurant was too pricey for the quality. The hot tub was not hot, but the jets worked.

Hi Expedia Support, I recently stayed at Casa del Mar Cozumel Hotel & Dive Resort with Beach Club access included, booking confirmation Confirmation #: EXP-2250693488 . The listing promised access to a beach club, which was a major reason for my booking. However, the bridge to the beach is under construction, and access was completely blocked. This was not disclosed beforehand, and I feel this significantly affected my stay. I’m requesting a full refund due to the missing amenity. Please let me know the next steps. It may not be a brand new property, but the staff is excellent and treats you like family!! It has a swim up bar, beautiful jungle area and the restaurant serves many great dishes and drinks!!

Unfortunately, our stay at Casa del Mar Cozumel was very disappointing and did not match what was advertised. The balcony felt unsafe, which was especially concerning since I was traveling with children. This made it difficult to feel comfortable or relaxed during our stay. The food quality was very poor, with limited options and meals that were consistently disappointing, forcing us to eat elsewhere most days. Although the listing advertises beach club access, the beach is not on-site and requires about a 20-minute trip, which was very misleading. When calling the front desk from the room, it was hit or miss whether anyone would answer, which was frustrating when assistance was needed. The location itself is decent and not far from downtown, which is one of the few positives. Parking is limited, but there is some available. Overall, the hotel feels outdated and poorly maintained, and the photos and description online do not accurately reflect the current condition of the property. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families or anyone expecting convenient beach access.

Great location and friendly staff. Our room was clean and spacious with a view of the ocean. Couldn't quite see the sunsets from our balcony because of trees, but great sunsets from the pool deck and private beach across the street. Yes the building is getting on, but so am I. Plenty of parking for our scooter, and close to most of the beach clubs.

Very clean property, and quiet. The property appears pretty old but it doesn’t affect a comfortable stay. The pool is very clean, although the edges are crumbling away. For the price, the cleanliness, the location and the comfort, I really recommend the Hotel. My family and I, had a great time.

LOVE the pool area and HOT TUB and swim up bar… nice ocean view from pool and tub… good at restaurant was decent to combine with the 100’s of other restaurants in Coz…. The beach club connected to hotel was beautiful too… it’s just a 15 min (300 peso) can ride away… staff was very nice …Will b back 👍

Comfortable, clean and convenient. The pool area was nice and the little "beach" area had shade, another little pool, and a safe snorkeling area. The air conditioning was a blessing. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We also rented a car from the hotel which was very convenient and easy.

Our room was large, near the pool, and near the bridge to walk to scuba diving. The staff cleaned well every day, but one day we had a bunch of tiny spiders(?) crawling around the floor, which they took care of. Didn't come back, not sure what caused it. Mexican beds are harder than American beds, but one of them was very lumpy/worn out.

Location was convinient, the property outside was well maintained. The room was small, musty, and the bathroom appeared to have mold, the mattress and boxspring were dirty and had what appeared to be dead bugs between the mattress and the top mattress cover.

This stay qualified for a VIP upgrade which we never received. Instead, our first room had a strong smell of mold upon walking into the room. This mold was verified by seeing the walls covered with dark mold. We were moved to a second room, with a promise to move us to another the following day. This second room also had visible mold on the walls and in the bathroom but didn’t smell as badly and it was late so we settled for it. The next day I had to ask for a room change. When we asked to examine the room prior to repacking all of our things we found that the mold smell hit us directly upon walking inside. We elected to stay in our existing room. Not worth the money paid! A thorough cleaning with a bottle of bleach is very needed!

Room was clean, housekeeping staff was good and helpful. Desk staff always helpful! The beds were very hard and the staff brought us foam padding to make it more comfortable. Tampiquena in the restaurant is excellent.

We never received the restaurant meal credit. Food in restaurant was sub par. Room and matress smelled musty. At times the entire hotel smelled musty. Serious flooding issues during heavy rainfall. Ongoing construction with the fourth floor expansion. The staff were excellent but the rooms in the resort are in need of an overhaul. Pool area was good. Although convenient, I would not recommend this resort nor stay here again.

This is our second stay at Casa Del Mar. The first time was in a 1 bedroom in 2019, and just this year in a two-bedroom. Both were in the large building in the back that faces the basketball/tennis courts. Both have a great Kitchenette/Bar that we made great use of. Those rooms don't have ocean views or a balcony, but it was quiet back there, and we were out most of the day anyhow . I do recommend the 2nd or 3rd floor as its very private with window shades open you pretty much see the tree tops out the windows and no other buildings looking in on you. The property is an older Mexican style resort that is well maintained and clean. Room always serviced daily and plenty of towels. Never had to ask for anything extra. The staff were very friendly. I found the beds comfortably firm. I know some reviews mentioned sometimes difficulty with hot water, but we never had a problem and used the shower at different times of the day. Bottled water and hallway water dispenser provided daily a plus. The restaurant has a good selection/variety and everything I had there was great at a reasonable price. It looks like they are in construction, adding a 4th floor, and I look forward to seeing what the expansion will be on a future visit.

Overall, Casa del Mar is a nice option for staying in Cozumel. Staff were wonderful and very welcoming and there is an easily accessible bridge over the road to get to the pier for morning dives. However, there were a few issues to note. The onsite dining options were boring and not great, I would definitely not opt-in to the inclusive rate as you'll want to eat elsewhere during your stay. Our groundfloor room was dated and smelled very musty and the curtains were moldy. For a "dive resort" there wasn't very many places available to dry dive gear, and no fans were avaiable to help with drying which, I suspect, contributed to the moldy smell. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and we had a good time swapping stories with the other guests.

El lugar en general está bien, las habitaciones tienen un piso que se acumula la humedad y parece que está mojado todo el tiempo, una noche solicité una almohada más y me dijeron que no podían por qué no había gente para dármela, el teléfono de la habitación no servía y la TV estaba muy vieja, la imagen era muy mala. El personal muy amable y todo siempre estuvo limpio

The beds were very uncomfortable in some but not all rooms, as I changed rooms 3 times during my 7 day stay. The balconies are very small and barely fit 2 people. As for the restaurant, the food was not always prepared the same from one day to another. On the positive side the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. And the pool was spacious with a good sized seating area.

Staff was always nice and helpful. The room was big and had a view to the ocean. It’s an old building and running water from the tap was irregular for example but in general it was ok and in a good location.

The staff is excellent! 🙌. Very friendly and accommodating. The location allowed us to safely cross the road and get on our boat to Scuba dive. Our bed was comfortable and was very happy our room had a refrigerator and air conditioning. The hotel is in a state of renovation with lots of noise during the day. It would have been great to have a small table with chairs in the room.

Great location and friendly staff. Our room was clean and spacious with a view of the ocean. Couldn't quite see the sunsets from our balcony because of trees, but great sunsets from the pool deck and private beach across the street. Yes the building is getting on, but so am I. Plenty of parking for our scooter, and close to most of the beach clubs.

Very clean property, and quiet. The property appears pretty old but it doesn’t affect a comfortable stay. The pool is very clean, although the edges are crumbling away. For the price, the cleanliness, the location and the comfort, I really recommend the Hotel. My family and I, had a great time.

This is one of Cozumel’s best kept secret. The rooms are all newly upgraded. Smart TVs, Internet works great. Staff is wonderful. Very very very clean. Cute little beach area over the bridge. Great prices for food. Breakfast buffet with an omelette station, $7.50 includes coffee tea or juice and milk. Safe area for parking. Walking distance to plenty of places. Slept like a baby. Beds are super super comfortable.

Our group had two rooms- the garden cabana and a “deluxe ocean view”. We specifically booked a room with a kitchenette because one of our party members has severe food allergies only to find that the kitchenette had absolutely no cooking utensils and as such was not usable. That felt like false advertising. I tried to contact the hotel for months to modify our reservation (within the confines of their policy), but I didn’t hear back from them. When I tried to discuss the issue upon arrival, the staff was extremely rude. They made me wait in the lobby for 90 minutes only to inform me that the sum taffy I needed to speak with actually wasn’t there. One of the beds in the cabana really wasn’t a bed. That is mentioned on their description, but I didn’t expect it to be so uncomfortable. Sometimes there was hot water, often there was not. The beds in our “deluxe ocean view” rooms were hanging off the platform by about ten inches (photo) so it was very easy to accidentally roll off. Lastly, the restaurant tried to shortchange us by $10. It felt very intentional. To get into San Miguel, it was a ten dollar cab each way. With few exceptions, the staff is rude, low energy, and often act inconvenienced. The electrical outlets were hanging out of the wall. Ants run around your room. Beds are extremely hard. Very low water pressure and lukewarm temperature. The beach area is actually 12 kilometers away. The food is mediocre at best. Construction is happening so the daytime hours are very loud. If you’re hoping for a nap in your room, don’t count on it because of the noise. No elevator.

The location offers great convenience for Divers, and proximity for shopping and dining. You can walk to downtown we did it twice this trip. The prices are very reasonable, and we are already planning our next trip and stay at Casa Del Mar.

Casa del Mar is the perfect Divers hotel. The property was lovely and well cared for in an unpretentious way. The room was exactly what we wanted with an A/C that kept the place very comfortable. The Hotel was ideal with easy and close access to the water and dive boat piers, The food was excellent and the coffee was available early. Most importantly, the staff was outstanding. Friendly and clearly committed to making everything "just right". I will return. Thank you for the great time.

Beautiful, lovely hotel! This is about 30 min walk from the ferry. Close enough for a venture to the busy shopping area but far enough away so it is quiet and peaceful. The hotel is very comfortable, beautiful garden setting with an over the road walkway to access the beach. I wish I could have stayed longer. Will definitely book here again when I return to Cozumel. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Loved how close it was to the dive shop and boats. The Staff treat you like family and the rooms and views so relaxing. I would have liked a coffee/tea pot in the room so I could sit on the balcony watch the sun rise with my first cup of coffee in my hand. Breakfast was always a rush as the dive shops wanted us to be there at 7:30 or 7:45 and breakfast starts at 7am. I wish it would open up at 6:30.

Resort was awesome. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Food and drink plan we felt was well worth the $59.00 a day. The wait staff and bartenders are top notch. We loved the food once we kinda figured things out. Chicken Tacos on the menu was what we call Chicken Taquitos, The Shrimp Cocktail was delicious, the Fajitas are some of the best we have had anywhere. The steak special on the menu was also delicious. What they call buffalo wings on the menu are just fried chicken wings with no kind of sauce which we call buffalo sauce(they are very good though) we ordered them every meal once we figured that small fact out. The drinks were spot on and the beer was ice cold. We will for sure be back. The diving across the street is Aldo very good. Jorge and his staff is very friendly and helpful. And the location over the bridge was very convenient.

The Hotel allows smoking in the pool area. A place where kids are playing and people are relaxing. very disappointing The menu needs improving.several restaurants within walking distance have much better food and a broader menu. The bar is limited in options Those are all Managment/ownership issues and have nothing to do with the wait staff. The service is awesome there.

Pool was dirty every day rooms were infested with ants rooms were clean but needed much repair and updating staff would be the only reason we would ever come back the owner needs to focus more on the whole resort now that his new suit on the roof is built which is the only new part of the resort also the so called beach club that was promised when we booked our trip was closed due to repairs needed the whole 2 weeks we were there.
