Great property. Food was better than average and plenty of choices. My only complaint was one of the elevators was down for the duration of our stay leaving just one for use.

The lobby and grounds are very impressive! Check in process took about 20 minutes, but we were served lemonade in line. The room was great with a beautiful view of the sea! The main pool is so beautiful with the waterfall and surrounding jungle! The oceanfront pool (across the road, accessible easily by tunnel) and beach area are small, but very pleasant. The sports bar was beautiful, and was a great place to watch NFL! The food at the buffet was sub-par, especially at breakfast! This hotel is absolutely not handicap-accessible. The walking paths across the resort are made of large and beautiful, flat rocks with cement in between. Unfortunately, it’s very uneven to walk on, and it would be difficult for anyone who has trouble walking or balance issues. The buffet has makeshift wooden ramps for wheelchairs to navigate, but they are not secured or stable.

The staff and property were great. The food was good and there was a wide choice at every meal. The 3 swim up pools were great for relaxing. It was a short taxi ride to go scuba diving or to go downtown. The only thing disappointing was that there was only one functioning elevator for a nine story building and several hundred quest. The elevator was smal and could only accommodate 5 people comfortably.

Visited 2/2025. They had a Super Bowl party And the nightly shows were fun. Regarding the reviews I read: showers water was hot and good pressure. We didn’t have any bugs in our room but I did see them spraying a room on the main floor. The buffet food was ok if you got there when it opened. The gym was stupid the equipment was limited, old and broken. The elliptical was insanely loud. The hotel grounds were kept super clean by staff, the stone walkway around the hotel is very rough and uneven. The elevators were in working order while we stayed there but would be a pain if they were not working. The pools were quite cold. The ocean was super cool with the reef right there to snorkel! Online it said snorkel equipment was free but the guy at the hut said only one set was free and I needed to pay $5 for each additional set. Housekeeping did awesome but it was variable if they would fill the mini bar. The restaurants were ok. The only one I really liked was the Mexican one awesome guacamole at the table. He beds were ok a little hard. I don’t know how they do the star rating because I’m not sure I would rate this hotel so high. I do want to say Jesus at the bikini bar was legit the best bartender there! You do have to put your towels out early for a spot as there are limited. The beach was cleaned everyday. I was not pressured into any timeshare or excursion sales but I wasn’t interested in the “free gift”. The private beach made annoying sales non existent.

Very well located hotel and very clean. The breakfast was good but lunch and dinner could be much much better. The rooms on the lower floors are extremely loud, the door have no sound proofing. The beach is super small for the amount of people and you get big cruises every day so if you don’t like looking at big ships this is not your hotel.

The Grand Park Royal Cozumel has a beautiful location and decent amenities, but some comfort and quality issues made the stay less than ideal. The bed was stiff and not restful, and the shower took about 5 minutes to heat up—when it wasn’t randomly shutting off mid-use. The room does not cool below 70 degrees and feels hot at night. The buffet is fine for a day or two, but gets repetitive quickly. Thankfully, the woman making fresh omelets and eggs to order in the morning is the real MVP—her station saved breakfast. Drinks were often served warm, and most food was lukewarm at best. The staff was friendly but not particularly warm or engaging. Also worth noting: the adult bar closes at 6 PM nightly, which feels early for a resort atmosphere. Overall, it wasn’t terrible—but it wasn’t memorable for the right reasons either.

I liked the variety around the facility. Lots of various food options. Pools were beautiful & well maintained. Areas for children, families & also adults only. The beach was small & chairs a bit limited. More around the pools were available. I really loved being able to just access the ocean through a channel by the beach and snorkel. Lots of different fish. Cruise ships docked right outside.

We absolutely love the staff, they're the best part of the resort! The main pool was in need of some love, so much debris in the pool and it looked like it hadn't been properly skimmed/vacuumed in days. The adult pool was nice but the liquor available at times was definitely lacking. Food has always been okay, but this time it was worse. We'll still be back, but we hope that there will be some improvements made.

My husband and I stayed here 7 years ago the property was in a much better condition. This time around the property looked older, pool was not clean, & just overall look of the property was more rundown. So rundown that on our last day the door to our room got stuck and we couldn’t get our suitcases out to leave to the airport. The suitcases had to be brought down through the balcony. What a terrible experience. The staff are all very kind. The buffet has a lot food options and the food is eh. The dinners are a lot better. Book at your own risk.

The room was big, the bed was huge, BUT, the air conditioner did not cool the room and had a weak ( if any) blower . The water came out brown every morning, and stopped completely at times and would at other times would just stop and sucked air. We had no hot or even warm water several days and had to take cold showers. We asked for a change of rooms and they sent someone up to look at the air conditioner and left with no change and would not change the room. The maid did a very good job. The food was very poor from the last 2 or 3 years. The pools were surrounded with green mold. The bar service was poor, and only two open at night I would recommend only people who spoke fair Spanish to stay because not many staff understood English , and all their programs were spoken in Spanish . I would recommend not getting a room in Building 1. We won’t plan on returning to this hotel again

When we got there, there was a difference in price and we had to pay an environmental cost of 129.00 that we were not aware of. When I get to my room the sheets were dirty and I had to let the water run for 20 mins to get hot. The next day, They cleaned my room and put more dirty sheets on the bed. The ice bucket had dirty water still in it from a prior guest. Then on the last day my toilet stopped working. The food wasn't bad, but the plates were chipped. There were dirty towels on the floor in the lobby where the housing was. and the pool was despicable. You could not see the bottom of the pool. Let's say, I should have asked for my money back. I will not stay there ever again.

Overall very good . Standouts for this resort were 1. CLeanliness . The cleaning staff is top notch and probably get very little credit . From the bathrooms , guest rooms, beaches and pools . Clean all the time . 2 . The activities with the Funtastic team ! So much fun with the sand volleyball and shows . 3 . The Cafe team of girls made the best lattes 4 . Very comfortable beds and lovely ocean view . Great location . Not so good . Food was good , never great and sometimes cold . Alcohol was watered down . Wine was the only thing not , but you could only get that at then nice / reservation restaurants. Oh .. and Taxis are expensive . Plan to spend 20 dollars at the least to even go 2 Km.

Our room was right next to the elevator and it basically clicked and banged all day long and it's not something you really notice until you're getting ready to go to sleep at night. And I pretty much makes that noise until like 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. . Other than that the property was pretty decent The food is a little bit lackluster and it's not bad it's pretty decent a lot of her just lacked taste even you know a little salt and pepper. Otherwise I really think like for your first time resort something like this is probably best. But I will know that everything was like a setup they're outside bar situations none of the soda guns worked so you got like bottled soda. So like I said everything seems to be like rigged or set up. And if you're looking to use the spa for manicures and pedicures at the moment it's only one lady doing one at a time and the pedicure station if you want to call it that is like a foot thing that you could get at home and do your at home pedicure. But either way like I said it wasn't terrible.

Property is very large and I like the people (staff)very much. We had room on the 8th floor which has a beautiful view of the ocean and the grounds which were in the process of being replanted. Facilities are very clean. But despite staying there of the years the things that lack are quiet. Because I am an active diver when I get back to hotel I am tired and we can’t escape the entertainment noise no matter where our room is located. If you want to sleep between 9-10:30pm you literally need ear plugs. We didn’t eat at the specialty restaurants (only visited buffet) and whole staff seems to want to please but the hot foods generally are not. They started doing specialty drinks in the buffet and that was fun and very good (thank you Damian). Towels are very hard to come by at pool. Either they are out or no one is working the towel station. About frustrating. Should mention the shower!!!! Best one ever!!!! Great temperature and water pressure. A/C in room left us something to be desired. Despite we could regulate the temp we could not get it to less than 20.5 despite setting to 14. 20.5 should have been fine but we ran hot during the night and since they don’t do double sheet (duvet only), you may run hot and cold.

This is our second stay at Grand Park Royal in Cozumel. We had a wonderful time again. The rooms are nice with a stocked fridge and balcony. They were cleaned daily. The food leaves a little to be desired but it’s free. We would prefer more breakfast options at the food bar. There are plenty of activities to do while on the resort. We will be back.

Very well located hotel and very clean. The breakfast was good but lunch and dinner could be much much better. The rooms on the lower floors are extremely loud, the door have no sound proofing. The beach is super small for the amount of people and you get big cruises every day so if you don’t like looking at big ships this is not your hotel.

The Grand Park Royal Cozumel has a beautiful location and decent amenities, but some comfort and quality issues made the stay less than ideal. The bed was stiff and not restful, and the shower took about 5 minutes to heat up—when it wasn’t randomly shutting off mid-use. The room does not cool below 70 degrees and feels hot at night. The buffet is fine for a day or two, but gets repetitive quickly. Thankfully, the woman making fresh omelets and eggs to order in the morning is the real MVP—her station saved breakfast. Drinks were often served warm, and most food was lukewarm at best. The staff was friendly but not particularly warm or engaging. Also worth noting: the adult bar closes at 6 PM nightly, which feels early for a resort atmosphere. Overall, it wasn’t terrible—but it wasn’t memorable for the right reasons either.

Loved the location and the pools, the beach was nice but I was hoping it was bigger, the food was decent but also it was hard to have dinner at the restaurants there was over an hour wait to be seated even at the buffet. And some of the food was not so good and very limited options and some areas. The balcony had a great view but the door kept jamming, the ac need it some work, it never got cold in there. The hotel is great and it has a great location, but it is it desperate need of some renovations specially in the rooms. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help and accommodate any situation to the best of their abilities. The restaurants need to be bigger or there needs to be a better system in place to serve people, we never even got to try one of the restaurants because every time we tried to get on the list they said it was already at capacity and this was 2 hours before closing

We expected to be better than Cancun we will not return to this facility.the minute you enter the resort the staff don't leave you alone they kept trying to sale us time share and we told them we were not interested. And the food was horrible.

We called desk multiple times. No hot water for a shower, air conditioner no cooling room. Housekeeping didn’t clean room on Sunday, had to call for them late Saturday. No help from the front desk after multiple calls. Room number 2008.

Pack your patience during check in. It will take you a very long time. Beach area is small and they have limited seating. Food is good at specialty restaurants. We are not pool people so I cant comment on that. Drinks were okay. It would be good w a family and kids. Screaming kids were everywhere. It was okay for the low price but would probably never go back. Oh the AC on 6th floor 2nd tower didnt work well and the elevators are tiny and slow. Use the stairs if you are able to.

This trip was supposed to be for my wife\'s birthday. When we arrived, check in was ok then the pushy salesperson world not take no for an answer. First he offered discounts to a bamboo shop to pick up free socks, coupon for $200 off ro diamond palace, $50 jeep rental for the day, $50 per person for massage to $100 to spend all day in Chiciniza. We asked if this was timeshare and he said better. These day they are calling it"loyalty" points. He was relentless. He called our room to make sure we were coming. He kept referring how we have expedia vip access and my prices does for all the amenities he originally quoted. He brought us into this room so the girl in the office can fill out your information. The"loyalty" staff came in and basically told us what are our plans bc he did not want to waste our time. I explained i was not interested. Everything changed when i said no. They brought out the girl in the office, salesperson and a manager asking why we are not interested. We continued to let them know we were not interested and we are here for a short getaway. The sales manager was absolutely rude, pushy, disrespectful and manipulated the conversation. The staff was very kind, sales people needs a lesson in common courtesy and kindness of guests. I do not consider this resort luxury as they advertised. The food is below mediocre, rooms needs upgrade. You pay for everything as far as other amenities. Nothing was offered as a vip besides a salesperson telling me.

Perfect for my work trip purpose, close to cruise ports and easy transport links. Hotel was very nice, food was great and pools were spacious and the view from the infinity pool is beautiful. Staff were incredible all week, the area was safe to wonder and if I was looking for a relaxing getaway I would recommend. Only criticism was the air con stopped working after day 2 which made it difficult to sleep but I didn’t report it. If I was staying for longer or on my next visit I am sure the hotel would have resolved early. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed this property. It is very lush and tropical. The resort is smaller but seems spacious at the same time. There is plenty of room for people and lots of different options for pools/beach. The interior pool would be great for small kids (as it's shaded). People with mobility issues may have trouble with the stone walkways and when we were there the main elevator from the lobby was out of service. Everyone we encountered was friendly and attentive. The desk gave us adjoining rooms without even being asked, which was thoughtful and much appreciated. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Our rooms were spotless each day. The one drawback was the food. We didn't love it, but we were able to find something at the buffet (amazing omelets for breakfast). The price for our stay was so reasonable, we just ate out each night for dinner. Cozumel has many great options, some within walking distance of the resort. The town is a short cab ride away and so much fun. Our entire group - ages 76 to 14 found things to do. We saw a lot of fish snorkeling at the property and enjoyed watching the cruise ships come and go. We all agreed we loved this resort and plan to come back.

We very much enjoyed our stay at GPR. Although the rooms are small and older, they are very clean, as is the entire property. We had a garden view, and the foliage is beautiful. I really like the water filling stations located throughout the property. We thoroughly enjoyed the snorkeling right on the beach. I thought the food was just ok. Plenty of options on the buffet. You won’t go hungry. This is a quieter resort which we also loved. Very convenient location, just a short $10 cab ride to town.

I liked the variety around the facility. Lots of various food options. Pools were beautiful & well maintained. Areas for children, families & also adults only. The beach was small & chairs a bit limited. More around the pools were available. I really loved being able to just access the ocean through a channel by the beach and snorkel. Lots of different fish. Cruise ships docked right outside.

We will definitely be staying here again the food is comparable to everywhere else that is all inclusive the staff here is amazing and there are several places within walking distance from the resort for shopping and restaurants

The rooms were great. New beds were very comfortable. The sheets, comforter, and pillows were very good. Housekeeping was great. The bar closes too early. Entertainment was just ok. The breakfast food was ok but always cold unless you got it straight off the grill. The restore food at the hotel was absolutely terrible! The worst food in an all inclusive. The drinks were poor as well. Soda was flat. We won’t be back. This was our third stay and it’s truly gone down hill with the food.

The lobby and grounds are very impressive! Check in process took about 20 minutes, but we were served lemonade in line. The room was great with a beautiful view of the sea! The main pool is so beautiful with the waterfall and surrounding jungle! The oceanfront pool (across the road, accessible easily by tunnel) and beach area are small, but very pleasant. The sports bar was beautiful, and was a great place to watch NFL! The food at the buffet was sub-par, especially at breakfast! This hotel is absolutely not handicap-accessible. The walking paths across the resort are made of large and beautiful, flat rocks with cement in between. Unfortunately, it’s very uneven to walk on, and it would be difficult for anyone who has trouble walking or balance issues. The buffet has makeshift wooden ramps for wheelchairs to navigate, but they are not secured or stable.

My wife and I visited this hotel for our first trip outside the USA, and overall, our five-night stay was very pleasant. Pros: • The buffet offered a wide variety of choices, including made-to-order eggs in the morning. • Throughout the day, snacks like fresh fruit, small sandwiches, and ice cream were readily available. • The two pools overlooking the water were beautiful, and drinks were served generously and often. • The staff were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. • Our room was clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made for a comfortable stay. • The hotel was conveniently located near the town, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and excursions—all of which could be booked right from the hotel. Cons: • One downside was the persistent pressure from staff trying to get us to attend a 1.5-hour presentation. Some of these individuals later approached us with personal side deals, which felt a bit uncomfortable. • The pool bars closed relatively early—one at 6 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m.—which felt a little too soon for a resort setting. • While the food was generally good, it could be inconsistent depending on the time of day and the restaurant. Lines for the all-inclusive restaurants were extremely long. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and kept disconnecting. The beach is located right next to a port with at least five large cruise ships docked at all times. The room itself was nice—I stayed on the 9th floor with an ocean view—but it had a very strong mold smell. I understand the hotel was fully booked, but after reporting the issue twice, no one ever came to clean or check the AC unit to address the smell. Service was another major disappointment. Having three restaurants on site was helpful. However you certainly need reservations, we were told by the one of the hosts it would be 20 min. One hour and 20 min. My sister in law went to see what was going on. They all of a sudden they found a table. They hadn’t filled the salad for a few hours hadn’t taken our order fo sometime. Just awful service and food was cold. Very very poor service by everyone in the restaurant.

I’ve stayed here the past 5 trips to Cozumel! At first it was awesome but over the years the food has went down hill! Will be looking for a different resort on the next trip to Cozumel! Long lines for dinner as they no longer do reservations or have a dress code that they adhere too anymore!

Overall very good . Standouts for this resort were 1. CLeanliness . The cleaning staff is top notch and probably get very little credit . From the bathrooms , guest rooms, beaches and pools . Clean all the time . 2 . The activities with the Funtastic team ! So much fun with the sand volleyball and shows . 3 . The Cafe team of girls made the best lattes 4 . Very comfortable beds and lovely ocean view . Great location . Not so good . Food was good , never great and sometimes cold . Alcohol was watered down . Wine was the only thing not , but you could only get that at then nice / reservation restaurants. Oh .. and Taxis are expensive . Plan to spend 20 dollars at the least to even go 2 Km.

Food was horrible. All options including the buffett and restaurants. Went to the buffett every night, and every night was disappointing. Mexican restaurant and Italian restaurant bad. Only thing okay at the Italian restaurant was breaded fish. Room service was better, but when I mean better, it was still bad at least 2 out of 5. Bacon was never cooked, food arrived cold. Mini fridge was never stocked up. After 3 days I had to go to front desk to request after speaking with room service about it multiple times. Wanted a massage, after trying to call the spa nobody ever answered. Called the front desk, multiple people said they were closed or at lunch, they weren't sure. Then I called back and they said spa employees are at the pool looking for customers. For me to go to the spa myself and make the appointment in person if I wanted a massage. The amount of employees they have waiting to sell you a timeshare is unbelievable. Makes you feel as if you are on a car lot buying a car. Not a relaxing atmosphere. Ice machines didnt work, the noise from the room next door, with employees moving furniture in the early morning was horrible. Our room was next to the model rooms where they show all of the people trying to get them to purchase a time share. After being here 10 years ago, the o ly thing that has improved is the drinking. More options to choose from. Food needs major improvements. People were complaining, hopefully this changes. The amount of money paid for was a waste of m

Hola es una pena que lamento mucho haber experimentado siendo residente de la Isla, ya que esperaba más de los servicios que presta el hotel, fuimos 4 adultos por una noche a celebrar el cumple de mi esposo y 2 hijos adultos en una habitación. Desde que llegamos en la recepción te colocan un listón bajo la advertencia de que si le pasa algo al listón y no acudes con ellos te aplican un cargo de $1800.00 el mismo caso si se te pierde, solo tenía 4 refrescos el servibar y el room service es solo una vez durante el día, lo peor fue que solo dan 2 botellas de 500 ml. De agua, para los 4 adultos llame al room service y me comentaron que tenía un costo adicional si quería más botellas de agua ( muy mala actitud la persona que me comentó).. Debían aplicar lo que ofrecen otros hoteles que te reciben con una bebida y cuando realizas el check out te dejan quedarte a almorzar hasta las 5 p.m Hicimos reserva en el restaurante mexicano a las 8 , solo dan 10 min de tolerancia, además está mal señalizado, queríamos reservar el italiano desde días antes y nos dijeron que a penas lleguemos al check in se haga la reserva (sin embargo nos dijeron que la reserva es hasta las 3 pm -.-) Fuimos en verano y había mucha gente en la piscina, en el área cerca al mar ocupado todo el tiempo,no había un camastro donde recostarse, el área de snacks sin papas a las 5 y ya no surten mas. Mala estancia en pocas palabras, no recomiendo si vas por un día.
