All the staff was very polite rooms were very clean and overall a good experience pools and beach were very nice

Good stay at Allegro. The highlights are the beach and the staff. The beach front is large, clean, good sun throughout the day, and lots of seating. No exciting snorkelling available in front of the resort, but excellent sand bottom for swimming. Please note currently you are not allowed access to the beach after dark until sunrise for safety concerns. We hope there is a solution to the concerns soon so that this is allowed in the future! The entertainment staff are awesome. Constant activities that cater to everyone. High energy all day long. We appreciated their efforts and hard work to make everyone’s stay super fun! Shout out to Diego, David, and Angel. Awesome job, keep up the great work!

Very nice beach at this resort with a lot of good activities. Swim up pool bar was great and the scuba center with their own pier made this resort ideal for all types of people.

Traveled as a family. Beach was perfect and hotel was very clean. My child had a lot of fun at the waterpark. Everyone was very nice. We liked that it was a smaller resort and it was a chill family atmosphere. We felt very safe and relaxed the whole time. We did the Cielo snorkel tour and traveled to mainland on the ferry to go to Xcaret which we 100% recommend! Overall had an amazing time and would definitely recommend Allegro to friends and family!

The staff was super friendly. The resort is a little dated but well maintained and clean. The hot tub wasn't heated and it rained the whole time so hot tub would have been nice.

I don't consider myself much of a resort guy, but I wanted to unplug for a week and just focus on diving, and this resort allowed me to do just that. Food aplenty, drinks for those who are into that, a nice, clean, little fitness room. My only reservation would be around how thin the walls are. If you have loud neighbors like I did, your nights won't be super-peaceful.

We stayed in the second floor room the ac could not cool down the room at all. Noise from the outside and Nextdoor neighbors could be heard clearly in the room. Bars close down at 5pm. No waiters at all, you had to walk to a bar for a drink. You had to dry your self to get a bit to eat at the pool side restaurant. First night ac turned off in room, killed two cockroaches on the curtains. Ask for a new room immediately. On fourth day again one more cockroach in the room, and decided that was enough. Left the hotel the next day. The only good thing in this hotel is the beach, loved the beach. Will not recommend this hotel, maybe just for One day pass to enjoy the beautiful beach.

This is my 2nd stay at this resort. Great for family vacation! Property is beautiful landscaping & mesmerizing sandy beach & pier. Easy to set up for any excursions on site for pick up on pier for scuba, snorkeling, paragliding ect. Restaurants Italian & Hibachi were excellent! Recommend upgrading to premium level for access to Santa Rosa lounge for exclusive Breakfast, Lunch & snacks. Enjoyed our vacation, 🌴

Before you’re shocked by the 3-star rating, let me say—it was hard to give this place anything less than 5. This is a magnificent resort with great staff, but I want to highlight a few things to help them improve and assist future guests. **Pros:** * **The beach:** Absolutely stunning! Crystal-clear water with *no sargassum*—a rare treat in this part of Mexico. Calm, swimmable, and perfect for snorkeling. We saw fish, starfish, and more during our 8-day stay. * **The grounds:** Beautifully maintained with a mix of modern and rustic touches. Groundskeepers do a great job. Both pools and the kids’ area were large, never crowded, and always clean. * **The staff:** Incredibly friendly and welcoming—especially the bar and entertainment teams. **Cons:** * **Operations:** Buffet service needs improvement—plates and cups are often hard to find, and food frequently runs out without quick replenishment. * **Facility hours:** Pool closes at 8, pool bar at 5, and beach access shuts down at night, which is frustrating when the disco goes until 1:30AM. No late-night beach strolls allowed. * **The disco:** Poor soundproofing means music and bass can be heard throughout the resort, making it hard to sleep before 1:30AM. **Would we return?** Absolutely. The pros outweigh the cons, and next time we’ll be better prepared to enjoy it even more.

Property is in need of a remodel! Safe did not work, refrigerator did not work and one night when it rained it leaked in our room on the bed. They did nothing about this.

We slept with cockroaches in our room, the room is dirty, the hotel is dirty, the staff is rude, the food is terrible, everything about this hotel is low quality.

I had stayed here years ago and really loved it, so chose to come back, but my experience was not the same this time. The food at this resort was not very good. Almost everything at the main and only buffet was lukewarm to cold. The omelets were excellent. No cheese, sour cream or guacamole available for tacos. The snack bar had dried up burgers, frozen chicken nuggets, fries and under baked pizza every day, chips but no salsa or guacamole (It's Mexico!). The buffet by the pool is permanently closed, which was not mentioned on the website for this hotel. The Italian restaurant had a nice menu choice but everything we ordered was served cold from the T-Bone steak that had a caramelized sweet onion glaze and I mean SWEET, the stuffed Portabella was not stuffed with a ragu, just some shredded carrots and zucchini on top. The Gnocchi was good but cold. I usually don't care too much about the food, but this was a bit much. The staff was very friendly all around. Our bartenders at the pool were very good, remembered what we liked and were very fast. The beach was very clean. Apparently, a good portion of the resort caught fire and now there are these big empty black lots in one section and no plans to rebuild, it really takes away from the property. Our first room was dirty and had a net for a ceiling that was full of debris, changed rooms and it was much better. Overall, our stay was ok, I'd probably not stay here again.

Firstly, credit where credit is due, the property is very clean and the staff is constantly cleaning all areas of the resort. The restaurant staff members are all very pleasant but some of the premium bartenders and desk staff are mediocre at best. Unless you book a suite, the rooms are very small. Barely enough room to turn around in the bathroom. Plumbing issues in at least the 64 building, perhaps in others as well, causing disgusting sewer water backup into the shower and all over the bathroom floor. We reported this more than once and front desk sta were indifferent, no apology, no reimbursement of any kind. The buffet food is ok, pretty much what you'd expect at an all inclusive. You'll always find something palatable. The specialty hibachi restaurant is really good and entertaining. If you book premium level, you can get cooked to order omelets in the morning as well as a small selection of other breakfast foods in the Santa Rosa restaurant and eat breakfast near the pool/beach rather than at the main buffet. The beach is wonderful and the water is gorgeous but evidently there have been issues with crocodiles, yes CROCODILES in the swimming area. There was also a warning sign put up for jellyfish on our last day there, I'm not sure if that's a long term thing. There's really nothing the resort staff can do about either of those issues but it's definitely concerning. I traveled here with my family in 2024 as well and several of us had money stolen OUT OF THE ROOM SAFE!

Beautiful resort, however we had two major issues. Noise and smell. From the moment we arrived there was a strong sewage smell that seemed to follow us from the lobby area to our room. We were assigned to the lower floor and when we opened the door we could still smell it. It was worse in the shower and sink area. Secondly, we could hear every footstep, toilet flush, and intimate act from the guests above us. Between the awful smell and noisey neighbors, our room was not very relaxing. We didn't complain because we thought this was just how it is at this resort. It was unbearable particularly at night. We endured this for 5 days. On our last day, while at the beach we overhead another guest complaining to others about the smell in their room. We joined the conversation and found out his family was staying on the other side of the resort yet had the same smell in their rooms. The other guests said they didn't have a smell. The family with the smell couldn't imagine staying in their room another night and requested a room change. If we had known the smell was not everywhere on the property but only in specific areas, we would have requested a room change after night one. I'm sharing this to advise other guests to speak up if they smell that sewage smell in their room. Its not everywhere... it could just be that the front desk assigned you to one of these unfortunate rooms on the property. Don't make our mistake. Say something and request a new room.

I never write reviews, but after spending 4 nights 5 days at Allegro resort, I wanted future travelers to be warned 1. Beach was fine, not rocky, but entry into water was sharp drop off with shells. Not a large beach. Can get crowded 2. AC is limited! Rooms are hot and you can't adjust lower. It's hot, sticky and this is awful.No AC at Buffett, night show is outside 3. Food is completely awful! I realize All-inclusives are not meant for great food, but this is not edible. Breakfast is the exact same everyday and beyond limited. I would not touch the eggs or bacon for my life. Ate 1 buffet and dinner and only had bread, everything was beyond disgusting. Had the habachi 1 night because you must stay 3 nights for 1 dinner reservation. The habachi was sub-par. Never ate lunch on resort 3. Drinks, if your looking for fruity,.cute, or plentiful drinks don't come here. Bars close early, limited selection and were always out of something or another. 4. Pools were hot, not just warm, but actually warmer than the hot tub. Not refreshing and sandy bottoms. 5. Don't stay in buildings 32 or 31, next to the sewer clean out which needed cleaned everyday. Workers start early and talk loudly outside of room every morning. Plus the smell of the sewer clean out is horrible. 6. Entertainment is Mariachi band, karaoke (avoid) and Rock band (descent) the "theater" is outside and folding chairs. Rock band was good, didn't understand many of the songs, got bitten by bugs. 7. Don't go

Property could use some updates. Our shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, making it slippery.

The food was not great with the exception of the hibachi restaurant. My bed was so hard that my hips are bruised. The check-in process was way too slow. But, i loved the location and the bars served great drinks.

Was rated higher on Expedia than occidental. Similar prices. Was a terrible so called resort. Tiny rooms with no room for clothes or luggage. Very dirty grounds. Ac did not work, complained several times. Hot water didn't work. No repairs until we said we were checking out and heading to occidental. 1 night was too long.

Pros: Staff were helpful and attentive. Rooms a little dated but clean. Grounds were taken care of. Pools were great and beach awesome. Cons: The entertainment was decent but it lasted until 11pm and was extremely loud and heard from our room which was unit 32. Wouldn’t recommend staying on that side of the resort. We have a 5 year old and 8 year old and we had to use a sound machine to try and drown out the sound. Really disliked the fact you could only eat at one of the three restaurants only three times if you were there for a week. Other than that, you ate buffet food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You had to be down at the front desk before 9:30am to stand in line to make reservations for the restaurants. Stood in line for about 45 minutes which was ridiculous. The buffet food was mediocre and it got really old eating it so much. They didn’t have real fruit juice so all the mixed drinks were like sugar water. I never found a cocktail I enjoyed. No real cream for coffee. Toaster was broke and not replaced the following day. We won’t be returning mainly because of the food and limited restaurant dining. This is an inclusive resort but they did have tip jars so advice for future guests is to consider tipping. They do work very hard and greatly appreciate it.

Rooms are on the smaller side but very clean, the food is average. The property is small and easy to navigate. The beach is beautiful. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Overall it was a great value for the money.

Every experience has been special and delightful. Everyone ,from employees to other guests, you encounter has a smile and hello. The rooms are comfy and kept regular clean. The beach is beautifully crystal clear and also kept clean. Food and drinks are great and always served with a smile. All services are excellent and the grounds kept clean and beautiful. It’s calm, peaceful and beautiful what more could you want if you’re looking to relax.

The restaurant staff and housekeeping at Allegro are excellent. The staff at the front desk and management not so much. I had reservations for two rooms with double beds in each room for nine months only to be disappointed at check in. My family was spread across the resort in different buildings. This made it inconvenient. Management did nothing to rectify the situation. Very disappointed.

The property is very well maintained and beautiful. Loved that it was quiet and the staff was extremely nice! The only downfall was that to get checked in was terrible waste of time, only one person working. Long wait just to find out the room was not ready. Then to return and have to wait yet another hour just to finally get checked in with once again only one person checking in guests. But over all great property

We loved the property! Hands down absolutely most beautiful beach, and for the price of a 7 days Cozumel vacation you really can’t beat it , however we arrived and had booked a none premium room , and wasn’t happy with it at all , so we went to the desk upgraded to the premium package and have no complaints after that except the food options which I knew when we booked , but will say there is a excellent family owned restaurant across the street that is literally a 5 minutes walk, they have the best homemade fresh home cooked meals EVER and their customer service is above and beyond. I would definitely return but would plan more outing for food

Wonderful resort! The food was great with many hits and only a few misses. Not sure why the reviews on food are so negative... Most of our meals were really good. The resort is clean and the rooms spacious. The private beach is huge and there is great snorkeling right off shore. It's located about 15-20 minutes south of town, so bring cab fare - about $20 USD each way. There is a Jeep rental place across the street to self tour the island but STAY AWAY from any tequila tasting, it's a total scam!

We had so much fun on this resort. Went with our 16 year old. Food options were good and the staff was great. You will need transportation to reach the resort and town is too far to walk. A taxi from the ferry was only $20 Canadian. The taxis park right outside the ferry terminal and the hotel always has them close to site. This resort was affordable and very beautiful. We loved it and will be back!

Overall the property is nice and quiet, good family vacation spot. One of the best mature beach areas around, very picturesque! You feel safe letting your older kids venture around. Great tiny kid’s pool area, not so much for the older one’s. Short boat ride to snorkel, swim with turtles, stingrays or just relax in the most beautiful lagoon. If you scuba, then definitely the place to be. Book the premium side for more amenities, and enjoy!

The shows and the entertainment staff were wonderful. The food was barely mediocre. The temperature of the food was either not too hot or not too cold.

Everything was wonderful. Unfortunately the food was a big disappointment. MUNDANE buffet same food everyday. I was not able to get into the nicer dining options they were all booked and no assistance to make a reservation was offered other than try next day at front desk.

The resort is typical for the area. What the issues are dining not as advertised. All the restaurants that were advertised were not functioning there was not air conditioning in the main dining area. Temperatures were over 90 F not enjoyable sweltering while you eat. It was like that everyday for our nine day stay. The dive shop did not have the minimal equipment inventory to supply customers.There were some good amenities such as a beautiful beach area, wonderful beach area personnel, and Camila our diving instructor who was awesome. I will not recommend this resort due to the discomfort of the main restaurant area and quality of food and we were only allowed to eat at the “specialty restaurants” three days of our nine day stay. There were also misleading information on the website description of the facilities and they should definitely be reviewed and corrected.

The room was ok no hot water the 1st day but they got that fixed. Our biggest issue was the food, no variety and things would be out and it took forever to refill items had lunch and at dinner the same items would be on the buffet like they just brought them up from lunch. The food at the Allegro is absolutely subpar and I question the food hygiene. Itema that should be hot are lukewarm at best. Food that should be cold is warm. This is concerning. Members of our party were sick after consuming food at the buffet. Cross contamination was a major concern. When the same utensils are being used on raw fish, pork, beef and chicken at the grill. I know many resorts recycle leftovers from the day before but the options for breakfast being the same as what was served fo4 supper every morning became tedious. Often being excited for hardboiled eggs is not the level of food I expect at any resort. There were not enough serving untensils per food items on the buffet which lead to more cross contamination. The buffet was a huge disapointment and would not return or recommend the Allegro for this reason alone. The majority of the staff are amazing. We quite enjoyed Wilma at the buffet and the female server at the beach bar who hussled all week, she always had a smile. We had several issues with our room from the toilet not working to the roof leaking, with that being said maintenance and management were quick and professional with fixing the issues. Everything about the Allegro is beautiful from the grounds, the beach, location it is so unfortunate about the food. The resort and staff are excellent, the premium restaurant food was never hot. Warm at best, many items in the regular buffet were also not hot enough for us. Louis and Christian took very good care of us. If the food temp issues could be fixed we would have no complaints.

Decent…. They do not have 5 restaurants. And the buffet is terrible.

The food at Allegro is terrible. It is barely edible, with the exception being the Asian specialty restaurant which we luckily got into twice. The property is nice however, and the beach is exceptional.
