Nice out of way hotel with what looked like a nice golf course. Room OK but with view over a flat roof to a brick wall. Lift was not working, nor one of the rooms in the spa, but was comfortable otherwise. The spa is nice and not bad value at £20 for two hours. Food was OK but breakfast lukewarm as buffet style with cold plates. Staff all friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel,staff were wonderful but you can not access any of the facilities without paying £20 for 2 hours. This was very disappointing as I booked the hotel for the facilities and wasn’t expecting the extra cost which apparently you have to read the small print in the t&cs to find out even though they are listed when booking the room. Other than that the food and staff were great. We did get put in room 139 and had to complain about the noise from the function room and another guest from 136 also ended up having to be moved so I would definitely check with reception when checking in.

Very friendly staff. Room was clean and tidy. Bar food was good. Property dated and a hige disappointment to ve charged £20 for the use of the pool facilities. Only wanted a quick swim after a long journey.

Travelling solo, arrived late and left early. Gym is well equiped, surrounding look great and friendly staff. Didn't use the restrauarant or have any breakfast. Room was reasonable but very warm with no way to cool down other than open a window although a fan was provided. Internet worked well. On the whole a good stay would use again.

Great hotel, fantastic bowling addition - was great to have a few games with the family. Dinner was ok, very little gluten free options on the childrens menu but the kitchen tried their best to accommodate a 10 year old. Our room was very spacious, only let down was the shower - this was broken, so trying to get 4 people bathed was a pain.

Very disappointed Never told until checkin that the pool facility weren’t open again same as last year If we know it wasn’t open I wounded have booked Hotel had wedding that took over the hotel There was no were to relax and have a drink without been in the middle of the hotel party No room service No offering of a desert menu at the bar like last year ( it’s seems they offer less but the cost of staying doesn’t reduce) Breakfast was a shamble too they had probably 50 golfers in plus wedding party So wasn’t room at a proper breakfast table Then fire alarm went off due to burnt toast !! Then when everyone came in from the rain there was no food ready so had to wait another 15 mins as all the above hit the food at the same time Oh and the milk was off at the coffee station Not a good start to my family’s holiday

Lovely size room clean and comfortable. Great hotel and great gym. Felt £20 to use the pool as a resident was too steep though which was a shame as I was looking forward to it but couldn’t justify that cost

Fantastic room, food and facilities - thank you for a great stay (rare to have an extensive spa and bowling alley!). Pay for extra facilities; yet the room rate was relatively cheap. Staff were very nice in some areas but weren’t so friendly at reception when checking in sadly. All-in-all, a good visit!

On arrival late evening we had no hot water. This was only resolved 12 hours later when they finally moved us to another room. We should have been offered another room straight away. Whilst my partner had to work the following day I thought I would spend a nice relaxing time at the spa only after paying £20 to use the facilities for 2 hours found only the hydro pool working, one sauna broken, the other switched off as were the other 2 steam rooms. On asking for a refund as the facilities were not working was told they were unable to and I would have to email the holes chain. Also found that all the other spa treatments were fully booked up for a week in advance. If you are looking for a relaxing spa weekend experience I suggest you book weeks prior to your reservation or you will have a wasted trip as we both did. Also be aware of extra costs to use the facilities. On another note the restaurant staff were excellent and the food.

I’ve been here 4-5 times but won’t be coming back. Everywhere looks very tired and dirty and the corridors had a horrible smell. The toilet floor looked like it had never been cleaned. There was a hole in the ceiling in the bar with a bucket under to catch a leak. Not enough bar staff so big queues. Tables and bar all covered in mess and spilled drinks. On a positive note the food in the restaurant was very nice and the staff are always friendly and professional.

Hotel easy to find, check in quick and efficient, rooms nice and clean and breakfast was good. Only complaint is that our stay was for a function at the hotel. There was a wedding on as well on the same evening and there was only 2 bar staff serving at 2 bars, therefore long waits for drinks. Apart from that a good stay

Toilet was dirty on underside of lid, carpet could do with changing in the corner of the room where its ripped up, shower head adjustment slides down and doesn't stay in position, air conditioning didn't work so was warm room. Not what expect when pay for Superior room

A very tired hotel, our bathroom wasn't cleaned at all and the room could do with updating in every way. the double bed was two singles put together. Then from 7pm to midnight there was an event going on directly under our room that was so loud you couldn't here the tv in the room. The front desk didn't seem to care at all at the many complaints being received. The restaurant was okay but massively over priced.

My fourth use of this hotel Arrived 2210 after dining elsewhere No obvious staff at reception. Had to call for check in Had requested a standard double room as previously, allocated a twin room 102 Dilapidated wing of hotel. Loose toilet roll holder in bathroom - sign of a lack of maintenance Bitterly cold. No heating. Heater did not work minus 4 Celsius outside. Woken at 0610 by singing and slamming of door by noisy guest in corridor. Yet to experience the bathroom and the breakfast, check out etc Not likely to use again for winter.

Hotel is extremely tired. Corridor up the the room smelt of damp. Room was freezing cold and had to get someone to come up and fix the radiator. Hotel was full of loud groups. Food was bland and expensive for what it was. Would never stay again.

The hotel, staff, and food were brilliant. Rooms were very clean if a touch tired. The shower let it down, low pressure and not as hot as ideal - other members in my group also had similar showers. Still worth the visit if short as not a deal breaker but more than 2 nights I personally would avoid.

Nice sized double room, lovely view over the golf course. Great shower, very powerful. Good choice at breakfast, service was very good both morning and during evening meal. Staff friendly.

Very noise room, knocking radiator all night and a very early wake up by the geese so really not a good night sleep. Saved by a very lovely lady in the breakfast room called Vicky who was an absolute ray of sunshine. Big thank you to her for making my morning ☺️

Have to mark this down because it was impossible to sleep as the room was a sauna. there was no air conditioning in the bedroom and the only way to cool the room was an ancient fan which had a timer of max 2 hours.

Rooms small and noise from patio area. Water was slow and lukewarm, making for a length and cold bath. Poor communications from booking staff. No confirmations sent to confirm booking's for restaurant or bowling. This was a large group of family and friends for a wedding at nearby venue.

the hotel is in a golf resort. The room was a bit small and there was no A/C in our room. The room was a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. The food and bar were good. Thre is no other restaraunts or bars close by.

I’ve been here 4-5 times but won’t be coming back. Everywhere looks very tired and dirty and the corridors had a horrible smell. The toilet floor looked like it had never been cleaned. There was a hole in the ceiling in the bar with a bucket under to catch a leak. Not enough bar staff so big queues. Tables and bar all covered in mess and spilled drinks. On a positive note the food in the restaurant was very nice and the staff are always friendly and professional.

Location was nice but the receptionist was not helpful at all, early check in was still charged at fully price for 40 mins early even after I had spoken to the resort twice in the day to have a room ready. No manager to speak to and no choice but to pay or wait till 3pm regardless of a wedding going on. No A/C, wasps come in, would not recommend.

Hotel easy to find, check in quick and efficient, rooms nice and clean and breakfast was good. Only complaint is that our stay was for a function at the hotel. There was a wedding on as well on the same evening and there was only 2 bar staff serving at 2 bars, therefore long waits for drinks. Apart from that a good stay

Stayed at Hellidon Lakes for a family wedding. Room, service and staff were excellent. Lovely room overlooking the golf course. Stunning setting for the wedding itself as well. Food was of an extremely high standard throughout the weekend.

Rooms small and noise from patio area. Water was slow and lukewarm, making for a length and cold bath. Poor communications from booking staff. No confirmations sent to confirm booking's for restaurant or bowling. This was a large group of family and friends for a wedding at nearby venue.

Fitness centre, had to wait 15 minutes to be let into the gym as sign said ring this number as I am away. I did and no answer. Went to reception and a rude receptionist (male, light coloured hair) said they are probably doing a pool test so you will have to wait. I said I rang the number advertised and he said there's no reception where they are, so what is the point of a number. Why not have the room key double up as a swipe? I then asked for a fan for the room, sorry none available, maybe tomorrow. No room number taken or name to send me one when they arrived.

Although staff worked hard and were always friendly and helpful we felt we were getting inconsistent messages. For example we were told we could only eat from a la carte menu in the restaurant but five minutes later we saw a group being served burgers from the bar menu. The a la carte was limited with no change so not enough variety for a three night stay. Breakfast buffet was disappointing. No mushrooms final day because of late delivery. Only tea and a vat of coffee. Surely a place this size could manage a push button machines to allow a variety of coffee as Premier Inns do. Beds were a bit lumpy and hard. Our room was only half cleaned one days…cups and glasses not washed. Our friends had a similar experience. Overall a pleasant stay but wouldn’t go back.

Enjoyed my stay. A little in the middle of no where. In a beautiful quiet setting nevertheless. Renovation works to the pool are on going so didn't get the chance to check it out. However, I did use the spa and had a pleasant massage.

The golf course and the property are beautiful as well as the surrounding area. Take note that the rooms are not air-conditioned. They do provide you a fan if you can figure out how to make it work or you can open the window that has no screen on it. The workers were friendly however the price for food and drinks was on the high side, especially if you are converting from the Canadian dollar to the pound.

We stayed here for the MotoGP at Silverstone, about a 30 minute drive away. All the hotel staff were very friendly and efficient and the hotel itself is a comfortable place. Reasonable price compared to what was on offer in Silverstone. Didn’t have dinner here so can’t comment, but we did have a good breakfast here each day. Would probably stay here again next year.

the hotel is in a golf resort. The room was a bit small and there was no A/C in our room. The room was a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. The food and bar were good. Thre is no other restaraunts or bars close by.

The hotel, staff, and food were brilliant. Rooms were very clean if a touch tired. The shower let it down, low pressure and not as hot as ideal - other members in my group also had similar showers. Still worth the visit if short as not a deal breaker but more than 2 nights I personally would avoid.

Nice out of way hotel with what looked like a nice golf course. Room OK but with view over a flat roof to a brick wall. Lift was not working, nor one of the rooms in the spa, but was comfortable otherwise. The spa is nice and not bad value at £20 for two hours. I dont feel like this stay was value for money at all. Both thermal suit and bowling were fully booked when i tried to book in advance. The breakfast says it's served til 10.30, however we arrived at 09.50 and there was barely anything left, neither did the staff restock anything, eventhough the lady said she would. So i paid £20 for 1 sausage, 1 slice of bacon, a fried egg (because there was no scrambled and they didnt bring more sausages or bacon). And a bowl of cereal because all the fresh fruit and pastries had gone. The coffee was also premade in a thermal flask. Definitely outdated on that department. The bed is very hard so i didnt sleep well at all and the walls are thin where you can hear people's phone ring in the next room. Theres no information in the room with regards to room service or menus. The place is difficult to navigate. I've stayed in much nicer places for less money, so very disappointed about this stay. We wont be returning or recommending it to anyone.

Fantastic room, food and facilities - thank you for a great stay (rare to have an extensive spa and bowling alley!). Pay for extra facilities; yet the room rate was relatively cheap. Staff were very nice in some areas but weren’t so friendly at reception when checking in sadly. All-in-all, a good visit!

Lovely stay the only down side is that the water is extremely hot which didn't matter to me as having a bath was fine just you may struggle if you wanted a comfortable shower.

Firstly I absolutely loved the location snd wonderful views. And the room was a good size space. We arrived late but I believed we were greeted by Yama, hope I got the name right apologies if wrong. Very professional lovely lady. My favourite area was the spa,great steam rooms and I nice pool. Breakfast was ok, I had these lovely veggie sausages. Anything you asked for they would prepare. Most wonderful part was being greeted by Vicky every morning with a smile and having all the guest laughing. This is true customer service Vicky a gem. Even with some staff shortest you could see how professional this hotel all work. Its lovely to see somewhere I'm not seeing the stress on everyone's faces.And I know there was a wedding on. My only gripe was our fan did work but had a dodgy button which didn't. So maybe check everything before adding it to the rooms. Overall I really enjoyed my weekend thanks to all the staff.

The pool was closed for planned maintenance, but they didn't tell us (it is now stated on the hotel listing, but wasn't when we booked and we were not informed of the change). Also in case you didn't see the pool is not free for hotel guests. The room was very nice and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good, and if you tell them you're vegetarian/vegan they will cook vegan sausages for you (not available on normal buffet). Have plenty of EV chargers on site.
