Great staff. Decent menu choices for the evening and plentiful breakfast. Great view from the dining room too. Old part of the building is grand. Rooms comfy and well equipped, but some aspects need tlc- small holes in net curtains and a towel. Parking easy and in a quiet location in town - great for the Uni.

This hotel was good value, but for travellers with disabilities it was not ideal. Handicapped parking was quite far from the entrance, there were few marked spots, the hotel interior had a number of doorways and stairs to get through.

Ok hotel but could not get WiFi in the bedroom. Hotel has loads of steps even on ground floors, not ideal with luggage. Would stay again, nice restaurant and food and bar and serving staff all very friendly. Large car park at back of hotel Nothing to really walk to around the hotel, I did walk to the gardens but they are only open 11 til 3.

There was no elevator, no ramps. We had to carry our big suitcases up several flights of stairs. I was on the ground floor and still had stairs to manage, no ramps available. Not accessible for somebody who is older or disabled, aside from the fact that most of us are carrying suitcases in and out.

our room was on the second floor and i had to carry two heavy suitcases up the stairs. also long walk from parking to entrance, they need a door at the back of the hotel near the parking. I could not call out from the phone in my room, they only have internal calls. the staff were good and the hotel was clean

Enjoyed my stay, room comfortable allthough would benefit from a lick of paint, a few scuffs and marks etc. Room decor flowery and dated. However a lovely new bathroom, lovely older property with nice communal areas and a really nice breakfast, 3 EV chargers and free parking close to the water front and airport. Would definitely book again when in Dundee.

Everything ran smoothly so never needed help as such but all staff we spoke to were extremely friendly. Room was excellent. Really comfortable, great size and had everything we needed. Location was ideal for exploring Dundee, with ample parking.

Beautiful hotel. We attended a function in the ballroom and the public areas of the main hotel are all really lovely, clean and comfortable. The room was a little basic but it was clean, comfortable and great value so no complaints there.

An overnight stay between 2 friends. Cosy, clean and warm room. Comfortable bed. Bathroom has nice walk in shower and interiors. Decent sized TV with free channels. Didn't have time to use it but bar and restaurant and lounge areas look nice. Will definitely revisit for next catch up with friend.

The hotel was great & the view from the beer garden was lovely over the river Tay. The only issue was I was in room 202 which is next to the plant room, so it was quite noisy through the night

Paid for a suite, got the honeymoon suite. Would have expected a mini fridge and bathrobes, but my problem as I did not check beforehand. situated at the back and side of the hotel, no view, shame as the hotel is in a lovely place. Very warm in the room and windows only slightly open, no fan or air conditioning. Overall a lovely stay though

A really lovely hotel with friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The only thing that let it down was no aircon in the room despite 31° outside and the wlfi wouldn't work

Stayed in a room for three. It was huge with a king in one room and two doubles in another room with a door. Staff all excellent and extremely friendly. Beautiful view of the water from the dining room Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again

The young man receiving us at arrival was amazing and friendly. The breakfast was stunning, although the staff was more interested to chat to each other than assisting the patrons. The lady at reception when we left was as cold and impersonal as the winter weather outside.

The hotel has beautiful gardens and views. It's very close to the Botanical Gardens and there are buses in to town. The dinner menu is very good. The staff work extemely hard. I feel that more staff are needed as that would be helpful to people staying and also mean that the staff had a better work experience

Ok hotel but could not get WiFi in the bedroom. Hotel has loads of steps even on ground floors, not ideal with luggage. Would stay again, nice restaurant and food and bar and serving staff all very friendly. Large car park at back of hotel Nothing to really walk to around the hotel, I did walk to the gardens but they are only open 11 til 3.

Enjoyed my stay, room comfortable allthough would benefit from a lick of paint, a few scuffs and marks etc. Room decor flowery and dated. However a lovely new bathroom, lovely older property with nice communal areas and a really nice breakfast, 3 EV chargers and free parking close to the water front and airport. Would definitely book again when in Dundee.

Quietness and the garden, not too close to the city, off street parking facilities, next to the Botanics. Not too impressed with the toasting facilities at breakfast, the machine was very slow and by the time the toast was ready, the breakfast was cold!

Everything ran smoothly so never needed help as such but all staff we spoke to were extremely friendly. Room was excellent. Really comfortable, great size and had everything we needed. Location was ideal for exploring Dundee, with ample parking.

Great staff. Decent menu choices for the evening and plentiful breakfast. Great view from the dining room too. Old part of the building is grand. Rooms comfy and well equipped, but some aspects need tlc- small holes in net curtains and a towel. Parking easy and in a quiet location in town - great for the Uni.

I understand that not all hotel rooms have a fridge: that's why I bring my own cool box. I certainly don't expect the staff to switch it off [and leave it off] when they clean the room. This hotel is convenient for the Hospital/Medical School but [having stayed twice in the past month] it survives only on past glories and repeat non-resident diners. Food is persistently overcooked and oversalted. Service is at best average.

Staff fantastic and very pleasant Breakfast was a fabulous choice and scottish breakfast was buffet but all food very hot. Coffees excellent aswell from a machine. 10 out of 10 overall

Price good. Went there because I have been before and it was great. However this time it wasn’t. Corridor floor boards are all loose by bedrooms and I was kept awake well into morning by people from a function going about. When mentioned on leaving there was no intention to fix and I was told that’s just the trouble with an old building. Sound proofing terrible, you hear everything said from the corridor and next room. Shower pressure rubbish. Short screen seal broken and leaking. Breakfast buffet replenishment took ages with many people waiting although quality was excellent.

The view from the restaurant overlooking the river was fabulous. Bus stop next door with regular buses to Dundee City Centre. 15 minute walk (slightly uphill) from Dundee Airport.
