Lovely hotel, friendly, helpful staff throughout hotel. Room was large and comfortable with really nice bathroom. We had dinner in the evening which was excellent as was the breakfast the following day. Lots of choice for breakfast, buffet style, all cooked items were hot. Parking in road outside, which is chargeable (£7). Great hotel and will stay again. Thank you.

Really pleasant welcome on arrival. Good sized room, but bed was very hard and lumpy. Very good breakfast. No on site parking and limited parking around the hotel.

Warm welcome from receptionist. Room beautifully clean, linen nice and crisp. Towels fluffy. Free bottles of drinking water. Only downfall was lift was out of order, but got a free drink voucher. Will definitely be back for a third visit

The liftvwas broken which was annoying as we had a lot of stairs to climb witb cases and no help was offered. The ensuite was tiny, however the room was lovely

The hotel is lovely. Very accommodating staff. We arrived 30 mins early and they allowed us to check in early. They dont have their own parking lot. But you can park outside the hotel. You can get the parking voucher from the hotel.

Lovely hotel with sea views. Staff are super friendly. Bar and restaurant are excellent. We had the apartment which was huge and well decorated with two bedrooms and bathrooms. Hotel is a little isolated from the town but the bar was vibrant.

Nicely renovated seaside hotel with a pleasant cliff-top location. There's a modern llift which is vey welcome if you’re on the upper floors. One issue would be the lack of water pressure on top floor (4th floor) but the shower still functions ok.

Walls like paper so felt I was with the family with kids in the room next to me. Pillows so lumpy that it was nearly impossible to sleep. Room didn’t feel clean. Not impressed. Won’t be back.

Room was very clean, nice and spacious for a normal hotel room, let alone a cosy room which we had chosen! Bathroom very modern and both were freshly decorated. Good tea/coffee facilities and tv/lighting all working perfectly. Staff very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend! All this and it’s right in the seafront and cheap!

The room was small but pleasant, bed comfortable pillows not, sadly there was no hot water for us on the morning we were up early at 5am left it running called receptionist from room but didn’t answer so I called the hotel the night person answered the call he apologised for not answering before he was doing something he told me to let it run however by this time we started to run late to catch our 6:15 ferry from Dover I explained I had let the shower run since I woke and it was barely warm.

We were disturbed by other guests very early in the morning which went on for over an hour having FaceTime calls, however Ben did try and ask them to be quiete. It wasn’t the hotels fault but the walls are very thin.

The hotel is smart and the staff very friendly and welcoming. It's location is brilliant and my room on the 4th floor was lovely, as I was given a sea view. Even though I will definitely stay here again, the pillows (all four) were very lumpy. I hope the hotel will invest in some new pillows before my next stay as I found it difficult to sleep on them. Putting this aside, my stay was great value for money, the hotel new and clean, my room warm and nicely decorated with a good shower and I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit selection at breakfast.

Stayed 2 nights. Shower head would not stay fixed in bracket support meaning had to hold the shower with one hand. The shower mixer was not working properly. The first morning the water was only tepid and the second morning no hot water only cold water. Had to wash in the hand basin. Not good.

Overall, I was happy with my stay. The only major negative issue that I experienced was the high room temperature with heat coming from the bathroom floor, which I had no control on. I had to sleep with both windows open at nights.

We stayed here as we had a gig to go to at Leas Cliff Hall. The staff were really friendly and helped us out whenever we needed something extra for the room. We had a very warm welcome and the staff maintained this throughout our stay. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again if we are in the are!

The overall stay was ok however the evening bar staff at 1040 were surly and really didn't want to serve the staff the relieved them at 11 pm were fine. The rest of the hotel and staff were fine. With the exception of breakfast at 0915 there were no eggs, bacon, hash browns black pudding. In fact the only thing on the hot plates was beans, mushrooms, and tomatoes.

Excellent staff with stand out service by Ben. He was very helpful, kind and went out of his way to assist me when I arrived in Folkestone from London completely stressed out and exhausted. I was there a few days recovering and he continued to be super helpful with taxis, directions, information and even reminded me when it was time to leave breakfast for the train to the airport. I remain grateful for his assistance. Plus the coffee was good and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was quiet and the view was fantastic. The proximity to the downtown was just perfect for me.

Took a very long time to check in - around 30 mins. Unable to provide invoice as printer not working. Room was cold, although did eventually get a heater. Room was very clean, bed comfortable. Good location. Limited on street parking.

I stayed at this hotel on two occasions the first was great, the second stay 19 days later was a completely different experience. Staff was rude, not helpful. They are pet friendly; however, make sure your reservation clearly says pet my second one obviously did not so they down graded my room two levels but kept my money. I paid 201.96 for a room that was 124.00. They waived the pet fee of 25.00 WOW - who cares total rip off and said it was because I booked with Hotels.com!

I stayed at this hotel on two occasions the first was great, the second stay 19 days later was a completely different experience. Staff was rude, not helpful. They are pet friendly; however, make sure your reservation clearly says pet my second one obviously did not so they down graded my room two levels but kept my money. The room was spacious and clean, but the bed was really uncomfortable, so much so that we had to ask for a second comforter to use as a mattress pad. The staff was lovely and breakfast was delicious. The location is a bit far from the pier where most of the activity is.

Lovely hotel, gorgeous building, friendly staff. Nice large room with huge windows and a sofa, desk and chairs. Suggest lowering the mirror as I could only see the top of my head when doing my hair sitting at the desk. Bathroom was a bit small and shower opening a right entry. Small inconveniences compared to all the pluses! Right across the street from the ocean, with walkway and large grassy areas. Would definitely love to come back’

We had a great one night stay here. Great value for money compared to many other hotels. Although we had a small room, it was twice as big as a lot of chain hotel rooms! Great views. Situated at end of historic Leas which is a fantastic walk. Hotel is in nice period property. Very friendly, helpful staff. Great views. Good relaxing bar. Our room had very smart bathroom. Excellent all round!

Hotel is right on the Leas and does have a view over the Channel. Lovely walk down to the harbour arm and old town. Train station 15 minutes away. Folkestone is a great place to visit. Highly recommend

Superb hotel. Room way described as small and cosy online but was surprisingly large with king size bed with a wonderful view. Breakfast was great as well as the on site restaurant and all hotel staff. Great location near seafront but an easy walk to town and beach and train station.

Lovely hotel with sea views. Staff are super friendly. Bar and restaurant are excellent. We had the apartment which was huge and well decorated with two bedrooms and bathrooms. Hotel is a little isolated from the town but the bar was vibrant.

Staff really helpful and friendly. We arrived early and man on reception sorted out our parking for us; fortunately there were plenty of space’s available on the road outside of the hotel. We checked in later that day. Room was a good size with large bathroom. No bath but lovely rain shower. Tea and coffee provided along with 2 bottles of water. Breakfast was plentiful with choice of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, fruit juices, cheese, meat, bread etc; hot food was cooked to order. Staff member at breakfast was very nice and helpful. We did not have dinner at hotel. This was our second stay and will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Room was lovely. Even slightly overlooking the sea. Was very clean and the hotel was stylish. Very friendly staff and catered Well with finding us a table at dinner time even when it was limited staff and no tables. Food took quite a while to come out but understandable when short staffed, staff were rushed off their feet, even reception lady was helping out in the restaurant. and slightly on the expensive side but was very tasty. Worth the wait. Would definitely stay here again. Great value for money too. Lovely hotel

The overall stay was ok however the evening bar staff at 1040 were surly and really didn't want to serve the staff the relieved them at 11 pm were fine. The rest of the hotel and staff were fine. With the exception of breakfast at 0915 there were no eggs, bacon, hash browns black pudding. In fact the only thing on the hot plates was beans, mushrooms, and tomatoes.

Everything was very good except the Breakfast area is not big enough for the amount of people staying, their is not a facility for groups to eat together either. only one table for six people, food could have been a bit hotter and refreshed more frequent. scrambled egg especially

Nice enough property that was easily walkable to town. The room was cleand and comfortable. Staff were nice. WiFi was fine. No smart TV so no netflix or casting. Breakfast was fine. We had dinner at the resturant the first night - upon reflection, we felt it would have been better to have had dinner elsewhere because no IPA on tap and just plain pub food that wasn't the greatest. It was a good hotel for two nights.

One night stay at The View Hotel in Folkestone and had a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff at reception made me feel genuinely welcome. They were warm, friendly, and professional, with a cheerful attitude that created a great first impression and made check-in quick and effortless. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing everything I needed for a relaxing overnight stay. The atmosphere was calm, and the location is excellent, with beautiful views and easy access to the seafront. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would happily recommend The View Hotel to anyone visiting Folkestone.

Check in was soo quick. Room was soo big with all the things you needed tea, coffe, biscuits, juice,water,fan, heater,shelf, hangers,safe box, dressing table with big mirror, big sufa,toiletries. I was staying in junior suite with sea view and the best thing i like into this room bath tub was inside the bedroom but after make the booking you have to inform them you need this room. Staff are really nice and helpful the guy i don't know his name but he is very good and helpful. There is some problems with room for summer time they have no air con into the room and very hard to open the window. But honestly i didn't feel too much hot because the room is normally good temperature. Or if you open window there is a nice air come from outside. Also for now they are doing some work in front of the building soo it just blocked my sea view but they inform me before i booked this room. Soo i don't mind with this. Overall great stay. Hopefully come back next time

Very handy for dining out or in right on the front and only 10 minutes early morning for the Shuttle to France. Helpful staff. We dined in, tapas was excellent.
