Great location but a very busy hotel with convention meetings and other functions. Rooms are a good size but if you are situated on the road side, a bit noisy from the traffic. The pool is lovely and large, our room was cleaned every day and the bed was freshly made. Great hotel

Very clean and tidy, close to all eateries, beach, Casino, etc. Parking for hotel guests is $25 per day on top of room rates or $55 for valet, so factor that in price.

The floor where our room was was filthy and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. Our room was dirty also. There was scum on the shower floor. The bath tub still had remnants of the previous quest. There was actual black mold growing on the shower ceiling. As we didn't use the bath, my husband told me to leave it and not complain. The next day whilst getting ready the housekeeping staff asked if I'd like the room cleaned. I said yes, when i had come back to the room all they had done was give me fresh towels. The room was not cleaned at all and not was the bed made. The next day housekeeping staff dif not clean again and this time the managed to make the bed, but couldn't bother doing it properly and the pillows were lying half way down the bed. We also visited the hotels two swimming pools and spa. The pools and spa were both dirty and had dkrt at the bottom of the pool aa well as little bugs that had drowned in the pool and were floating on the surface. We have always chosen the Sofitel brand as it's trusted and known. This particular Sofitel truly disappointed. This time around it felt as though we were paying for the brand rather than the quality and hospitality. If you are charging such a rate the quality should match. My biggest mistake was not taking photos as well as not complain.

Steak was over priced and over cooked and my breakfast that I ordered the night before never arrived. Duty Manager Lucas was good and called me to discuss but not what I would expect from Sofitel.

The property is in a fantastic location in Broadbeach. It is very dated though. Has had some renovations but it still requires further updates. The hotel had no soundproofing and we couldnt sleep with the noise from the road, even though we were on the 10th floor. Alot of hoons in particular. The staff were ok but could have been a little more friendly. I had to ring to get my invoice. We were charged a credit card fee which we werent advised of.

Disappointing Anniversary Stay – Poor Service and Hygiene Issues We were really looking forward to our anniversary stay at Sofitel Broadbeach, but unfortunately, it was far from what we expected. We booked an ocean view room, but the view we received was not what was shown online. While the manager on number 9, Beck (I believe that was her name), was very helpful and tried to resolve the issue, the room still didn’t match what we had envisioned. At that point, we couldn’t book another hotel because everything was double the price. To make matters worse, the room and bathroom had insects, which is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. The parking situation was frustrating too, with no priority for guests, as after dinner on a Saturday night we saw the parking was closed off and when we called the concierge they told us to park at another building which is totally unacceptable considering the amount of money we had spent at this hotel One of the biggest disappointments was the attitude of the concierge staff during check-out they were rude and dismissive, especially considering the mistakes that had been made with our booking. This lack of professionalism added to our frustration. Even the breakfast was underwhelming, with cold food, and birds were flying and walking around inside the restaurant, which felt unsanitary and disturbing. Appalling check in. Arrive early and sat for three hours in the Foyer, waiting for our very ordinary room 'to be ready', while dozens of others got their rooms! If you book 'direct with the hotel, with your Accor member number, you'll pay heaps more per night than if you book on Wotif and other third party sites too! Bizzare!

Great location but a very busy hotel with convention meetings and other functions. Rooms are a good size but if you are situated on the road side, a bit noisy from the traffic. The pool is lovely and large, our room was cleaned every day and the bed was freshly made. Great hotel

Very clean and tidy, close to all eateries, beach, Casino, etc. Parking for hotel guests is $25 per day on top of room rates or $55 for valet, so factor that in price.

Attended a conference here and arrived early to enjoy the Gold Coast. The hotel is 1km walk to Pacific Fair shopping centre. There is a free shuttle that passes by 3 times a day for Pac Fair. The hotel itself is next to Oasis Shopping Centre. There is a Woolworths supermarket in the Oasis SC plus a lot of dining options within an easy walk from the hotel. I made use of the breakfast buffet which was fabulous and my room was extra spacious with ocean views. The beach is just a short walk away. The staff have been very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a great time staying at Sofitel Gold Coast. Staff were very polite, helpful and friendly, especially Michael, the Concierge. Their buffet breakfast offers great options at a very reasonable price.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sofitel, however, i did not like room services. Food was cold and half way cooked. Breakfast was not what was in the menus.

Check-in was an absolute pleasure thanks to Amy, who went above and beyond to make our date night feel special. Overall, we had a pleasant one-night stay. While the hotel is comfortable, it’s starting to show its age and is missing some of the little touches that elevate the experience. While they have the bathrobes, slippers and coffee machines, it’s missing the minibar, and in-room movies you come to expect. Even so, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the warm, friendly service.

Hotel is very nice and clean, beds are awesome with Pillows that I can't find in shops, we had a sea view room, which was well worth it. But for some reason the room had no heating option, and with 14 deg evenings in Winter this was on the borderline of comfort.
