Stayed for two nights. Air conditioning was great to have in very hot and humid weather. Staff were helpful and the room was clean. It is a quiet area with canal walks nearby. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but a friendly member of staff helped me find somewhere. It is not exactly clear where you can park. I found it hard to find the hotel but Google Maps on my phone managed it.

Clean, comfortable hotel, excellent for getting into central London as apsley train station is a 2 min walk. Also close bus links if needed and good car links (M25, M1 or A41). Parking onsite can get busy but we managed to get a spot when needed. Breakfast was good and included in room rate which was appreciated. Friendly staff, room was clean and had everything you need (hairdryer, ironing board, kettle, TV, USB slots etc). Personally, we found the bed a bit small (queen size double) and firmer than home but we managed. Hotel was quiet overnight (good sound proofing). We've stayed at most of the hotels in Hemel and this one is the best overall, we will be back in future. Also worth a mention, the hotel is dog friendly which we will test next time. Bar available with good choice. Also seemed to be extensive menu on offer, didnt get a chance to try.

Another enjoyable stay.. welcoming and friendly check in with Maria.. Chris made our special because our trip and stay was my wifes birthday.. This hotel is our accommodation of choice each time we visit London.. Comfortable room every thing you need for overnight stay or longer.. Quiet.. Easy access to the motorway and London the location is great for local amenities and especially if you are visiting Harry potter studios.. Ample parking.. don't forget to register your registration.. Has a bar and serves a limited menu for evening food.. Pubs and restaurants nearby if you want to wander locally.. Enjoy a stroll along the canal nearby...

Used to stay here in the past when on business in the area. Pretty much get what you get with HIExpress. Personally the mattress was far too hard and my back hurt in the morning. Breakfast is free, and it ok. For free. But wouldn't have been too happy if had to pay for it. Also, housekeeping. When i hang my towel, stop replacing it!!!

Staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. Room was basic but comfy with the exception of the chair. It would have been nicer to have a comfier chair than an office/swivel/desk seat. Shower was good, toiletries provide also nice. Towel was taken away on first day despite hanging it on the rail (ie we would have used it again) but wasn’t replaced. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. Would definitely go back.

The room was way below expected holiday inn standards. Two days we stayed there no room cleaning or linen done and the carpet grossly dirty and damp. The check inn took time rooms changed last minute with no warning after waiting for 3 hrs to check on . Breakfast is ok but some food over cooked next to burnt eg sausages. No fridge in the rooms nor enough space to have tea or work table

Really enjoyed the stay, bed was comfortable and room was acceptable clean. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. My only disappointment was the air conditioning wasn’t working and the rooms on the lower lever were a bit noisy with what seemed to be trolly wheels. Breakfast was good.

The hotel staff were very helpful but the building itself is looking a bit tired.The food was lovely and penty of it. the familly rooms are not really familly rooms they are very small on space and the children have to share a bed 2 single pull outs would have been better.

Great hotel, special thanks to Harry who looked after us at breakfast. We are vegetarian and there was alot of cross contamination at the buffet. Harry kindly arranged our items to be brought straight from the kitchen to our table to avoid any cross contamination. Great service and will definitely be returning

We had some small issues when checking in our room was not ready but chris on check in was brilliant, he delt with the problem excellently and keep us updated he was due to finish his shift but stayrd till we had been told the room was ready A very professional and valuable member of staff

We were there with a group and surprised that check in took so long. After a long day of travel, we just wanted to get to our room. The room and bed were great. Eight of us had dinner there the last night. Our meals arrived but one. We asked several times about the remaining meal and were told it was on the way. The third time we told them it had been 45 minutes which we determined by the receipt. The employee wanted to argue & deny it had been that long. We asked them to check the kitchen again, they finally came out with the meal & just handed it to one of the group who then delivered it to the table. No apology was provided

We were there with a group and surprised that check in took so long. After a long day of travel, we just wanted to get to our room. The room and bed were great. Eight of us had dinner there the last night. Our meals arrived but one. We asked several times about the remaining meal and were told it was on the way. The third time we told them it had been 45 minutes which we determined by the receipt. The employee wanted to argue & deny it had been that long. We asked them to check the kitchen again, they finally came out with the meal & just handed it to one of the group who then delivered it to the table. No apology was provided

Clean, comfortable hotel, excellent for getting into central London as apsley train station is a 2 min walk. Also close bus links if needed and good car links (M25, M1 or A41). Parking onsite can get busy but we managed to get a spot when needed. Breakfast was good and included in room rate which was appreciated. Friendly staff, room was clean and had everything you need (hairdryer, ironing board, kettle, TV, USB slots etc). Personally, we found the bed a bit small (queen size double) and firmer than home but we managed. Hotel was quiet overnight (good sound proofing). We've stayed at most of the hotels in Hemel and this one is the best overall, we will be back in future. Also worth a mention, the hotel is dog friendly which we will test next time. Bar available with good choice. Also seemed to be extensive menu on offer, didnt get a chance to try.

The hotel was reasonable clean, the staff was ok. The breakfast become very boring it the same thing everyday. They hotel was very busy, and they kept running out of food and juices, you had to wait for staff to bring more food out., also ran out of cutlery and have to wait for that too. I had to ask a member of the staff to clean a table so we can sit to eat our breakfast, she said couple of minutes 10 minutes later we was still waiting so I clean the table myself. Then the member of staff came and said sorry the lady who meant to be cleaning the table is on her break, I said really, at the busyest time in the morning, this is ridiculous. I do under that the hotel gets very busy, but I think it's bad management, they should be keeping an eye on stock level. Having to wait for cutlery is just bad.

Rooms were ave. But were comfortable enough for a short stay. Tv didnt work in any of tge 4 rooms booked. Breakfast choice was limited such as only 1 type of egg (scrambled) and toasters were very slow. This would be an issue if the length of stay was more than a coulle of nights as it would become very repetitive. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help. Any issues reported were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Convenient location with free parking outside. Bedroom & bathroom very clean & well presented. Our disappointment was the breakfast and dining area. It appeared messy and not very well stocked.

Well designed rooms Quiet and comfortable Air Con could not be set at 16.Pity….18C is too high for sleeping. Breakfast was mediocre…no mushrooms….carton scrambled eggs….no fried eggs…..OJ was way over-diluted.

Aircon broken in our stay, we got an extra small desk fan to compromise the hot room, on 5’th floor with a window that barely opens and fans on max speed, we still sweated a lot, we couldn’t get air circulation. There was a minimum breakfast that didn’t tasted of anything, a shower enclosure that was leaking into/onto the toilet aria floor.

After we checked in, we tried to put on the air cooling system but it didn't work. Also, the TV was very old and didn't work either. We told the check-in staff who informed us that the air cooling system had broken and they weren't sure when it would be fixed. They were waiting on a part from Germany. As we were with two young kids, and knew the weather was going to be hot, we made sure to book a hotel that had air conditioning (Turns out air cooling isn't the same, but didn't matter anyway because it was broken). The staff told me that I could speak with the manager but that she would be leaving at 5:00pm (This was at 4:40). I went down at 4:50 and was told that she'd gone but she told the staff to tell us that we didn't have to stay and there would be no cancellation fee. Definitely not good enough as it was getting into the evening and we couldn't just suddenly find a hotel in the area that was available for a family. The staff member was very helpful, kind and sympathetic but the lack of care from the manager was a joke.
