A estadia foi de 1 noite
After visiting this place in November 2019 we decided to return October 2026, we found a significant difference in quality of not only the food but, other information about the hotel and the staff which were elusive at best. On arrival we were greeted by I presume was the manager, checked us in and told us our room number and left us to it . I'd would have thought he would have showed us the room or told us where it was. Upon entering the room there was an immediate smell of damp, wall paper peeling and cobwebs everywhere. Bathroom and shower area all clean, the bedroom it's self needed updating. There was some tea , coffee etc no biscuits and no water as stated on the website when booking... We went to the bar area to ask about evening dinner there wasn't any menu's out at the tables and had to ask for one. We ordered from there special of the day and it arrived very promptly and at best was just ok. On our previous visit to the Pennine manor it was almost like a restaurant with both bar food and à la carte. It was disappointing to see this change ...

Clean room and bathroom Bathroom could do with some minor maintenance, eg new taps and sealant on sink, new bathroom mirror as it was cracked. fantastic views. Really lovely reception and bar staff

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but room was stifling hot and the heat was uncontrollable. We asked the front desk to turn the heat off and it worked for a while, however it kept coming back on. The restaurant/bar had one working tap for beer and one for cider with a limited menu. I think the place is closing.

It was a lovely satay overall Staff were nice and it has lots of parking. Room came with all the necessary amenities and it was clean.

Second stay here, this time in one of their Deluxe rooms. It was a beautiful room, clean, and very spacious with probably the biggest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel room. Unfortunately, the plug in the sink did not open so the water couldn't drain. We let housekeeping know and were told that the maintenance team would be informed but nobody came to fix it before we left. Monday morning, we went downstairs for breakfast at 9.28am only to be informed that hot breakfast was no longer available as breakfast time stops at 9.30am (which is a bit strange, most other places seem to offer food until 10am in the morning at least). So we went to a nearby farmshop cafe instead. As with our first stay, the WiFi password did not work. Staff were friendly but upon checking out (I still had to pay for breakfast on our second morning), there was nobody at reception. I pressed the buzzer twice, to no avail. So I had to go and actively look for someone to settle my bill. I went into the adjacent pub / bar and had to call out for someone several times. The young woman was hoovering and I think with headphones in so she didn't hear me straightaway. It would have been easy to just walk out without paying but I'm not THAT person. Overall, we were happy with our stay, minus the things mentioned.
