We went to a concert in the town hall. The hotel is just across the road so couldn't be more convenient. Breakfast was very good. There are only 6 parking spaces which are quite tight but alternatively there is a big carpark next door. We will definitely return.

Nice location not many spaces for cars rooms need a refurb beds very uncomfortable they are rock hard the pillows are too curtains don’t cover the window so at 4:30 when it’s day light it’s bright in the room wasn’t with £160 for a night

The Stay hotel says it has a restaurant but it does not. The staff was not very helpful in choosing a restaurant. We will not stay at this hotel again.

Positives: Very nice hotel,modern styled, central to ce gre of town. Rooms very clean and spacious. Staff very friendly and free parking if you're lucky to get a space (limited to 8). We were upgraded to a Queen room on arrival. Breakfast (included) very good. Negatives: Parking limited, decor in room around windows needs titivating, secondary glazing required in our room (201) as cold penetrated the room from the single glazing however the powerful heating system soon made the room almost unbearable! A very hot hotel (bad news with a hangover after watching the band Red Rum Club @ the Parish)

The hotel was centrally located but in an area of Huddersfield town centre regeneration so at the moment the area round about is very quiet & run down with a lot of boarded up shops. Few places to eat nearby. The hotel is beautifully decorated with comfy beds. Our room had a high window we were unable to see out of & unable to open but we were provided with an electric fan (no air-con). The mirror in the bathroom was too high for me (5’3’’). No plug socket was near a mirror for hair drying, straightening etc. (one socket unusable due to huge, but beautiful bedhead). We were fortunate to get a good car parking space & that was a real bonus! The staff on reception were excellent, very pleasant, friendly & extremely helpful, can’t praise them enough. Would book again, preferably in another room.

Hotel was nextdoor to a reasonable parking facility (£15 for 24hrs). Easy reach of the town center, university and train station. Staff were great and decor really nice. Didn't realise that our room was windowless and this made for a very warm night even with the fan provided

Parking was quite difficult as very narrow space to get in. Room overlooked a building site and a public car park. Bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was very disappointing. Not worth the £15 a head.No menus on the table. Eggs were undercooked. Beans not sure what they did with those. Hash brown just crumbled when you cut it. One slice of turkey bacon.so I didn’t eat breakfast. Staff weren’t friendly at all.They didn’t interact with you. Just wanted payment. I chose this hotel over premier inn as a treat. Certainly wasn’t a treat at all.Im not sure if we would stay here again.

The hotel itself seems fine. It is fairly well decorated and presented. However, there does seem to be customer service issues. On arrival we found the access to the car park was blocked by a vehcile so we popped into reception to ask if it was moving and were told it was there to stop people using it as the owner of the hotel had a function that day and therefore it was out of use. So we had to park overnight elsewhere and pay a fee. The hotel room only had a very high window (8ft ish) so there was no way to see outside and therefore it felt like a cell rather than a room. It also didn't shut properly as t The breakfast room was staffed by a young man who thinks it is fine to talk on his phone about his personal life whilst serving coffees from the coffee machine. He even also told another hotel guest how to use the machine for himself (it is behind the breakfast counter) and then dissappeared on off into the hotel again on his phone. There is no background music in the breakfast room which means there is a really cold and awkard atmosphere. Just having a middle of the road radio stastion on would make a huge difference and the PRS license is not that high for this. It's just a general vibe of the place that makes it feel unwelcoming.

Very clean and comfortable, staff at front desk were extremely helpful, reasonably close to city centre. No complaints at all with the room or its amenities. Price/value for money was ok for what I paid (I did book fairly last minute though so might’ve played a part)

Positives - central, really clean, pleasant decor, good service (although check in was a little officious!) Cons - room wasn't as nice as the images, no hairdryer or iron without asking, really loose toilet seat, not able to close blinds (and could really do with blackout curtains)

Overall was better than expected although the window of n my room was small, high up & made the room cell like. The toiletries were good quality, the room looked nice & breakfast was nice reasonable although they had no vegetarian sausages. Although the rooms decor was good overall there were 2 things that let it down, firstly there was nowhere to hang anything as the wardrobe had no hangers and there was no hook behind the door for a coat, secondly & more importantly the bed was terrible resulting in an awful nights sleep.

We stayed two nights - we had a front room which was noisy both mornings with outside traffic/people speaking - secondary double glazing would help. The room was nice - bathroom same but no towel rails. Second night we were both awake at 2:30 with repeated water dripping internally above the wardrobe. Reception said they thought the issue had been fixed and offered us to move to another room. I would like to return (family stay in Huddersfield) but not getting my £50 deposit returned since we left on Monday (this is Friday) is worrying. I called direct and they said to call my bank? We paid using Visa - I can't understand why they are holding onto our money.

Very clean and comfortable, staff at front desk were extremely helpful, reasonably close to city centre. No complaints at all with the room or its amenities. Price/value for money was ok for what I paid (I did book fairly last minute though so might’ve played a part)

We stayed two nights - we had a front room which was noisy both mornings with outside traffic/people speaking - secondary double glazing would help. The room was nice - bathroom same but no towel rails. Second night we were both awake at 2:30 with repeated water dripping internally above the wardrobe. Reception said they thought the issue had been fixed and offered us to move to another room. I would like to return (family stay in Huddersfield) but not getting my £50 deposit returned since we left on Monday (this is Friday) is worrying. I called direct and they said to call my bank? We paid using Visa - I can't understand why they are holding onto our money.

There is no ramp or assistance to enter or exit the building, rooms. There are several fire doors and stairs to get to the room. I called the front desk in the morning to receive assistance with my bags, no one answered. I waited a few minutes, called again and still no answer. I made my way down through all the doors and stairs to the lift into the lobby. The woman at the front desk had her head down on her arms sleeping. She did not acknowledge me. I made my way outside, again none of the doors have handicap accessibility and left. I will not be back.

Parking was quite difficult as very narrow space to get in. Room overlooked a building site and a public car park. Bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was very disappointing. Not worth the £15 a head.No menus on the table. Eggs were undercooked. Beans not sure what they did with those. Hash brown just crumbled when you cut it. One slice of turkey bacon.so I didn’t eat breakfast. Staff weren’t friendly at all.They didn’t interact with you. Just wanted payment. I chose this hotel over premier inn as a treat. Certainly wasn’t a treat at all.Im not sure if we would stay here again.

We went to a concert in the town hall. The hotel is just across the road so couldn't be more convenient. Breakfast was very good. There are only 6 parking spaces which are quite tight but alternatively there is a big carpark next door. We will definitely return.

Positives: Very nice hotel,modern styled, central to ce gre of town. Rooms very clean and spacious. Staff very friendly and free parking if you're lucky to get a space (limited to 8). We were upgraded to a Queen room on arrival. Breakfast (included) very good. Negatives: Parking limited, decor in room around windows needs titivating, secondary glazing required in our room (201) as cold penetrated the room from the single glazing however the powerful heating system soon made the room almost unbearable! A very hot hotel (bad news with a hangover after watching the band Red Rum Club @ the Parish)

The hotel was centrally located but in an area of Huddersfield town centre regeneration so at the moment the area round about is very quiet & run down with a lot of boarded up shops. Few places to eat nearby. The hotel is beautifully decorated with comfy beds. Our room had a high window we were unable to see out of & unable to open but we were provided with an electric fan (no air-con). The mirror in the bathroom was too high for me (5’3’’). No plug socket was near a mirror for hair drying, straightening etc. (one socket unusable due to huge, but beautiful bedhead). We were fortunate to get a good car parking space & that was a real bonus! The staff on reception were excellent, very pleasant, friendly & extremely helpful, can’t praise them enough. Would book again, preferably in another room.

Hotel was nextdoor to a reasonable parking facility (£15 for 24hrs). Easy reach of the town center, university and train station. Staff were great and decor really nice. Didn't realise that our room was windowless and this made for a very warm night even with the fan provided

A great facility and friendly staff. When the Queensgate reconstruction is done it will be a truly prime spot but it’s still convenient to central Huddersfield now.

Overall was better than expected although the window of n my room was small, high up & made the room cell like. The toiletries were good quality, the room looked nice & breakfast was nice reasonable although they had no vegetarian sausages. Although the rooms decor was good overall there were 2 things that let it down, firstly there was nowhere to hang anything as the wardrobe had no hangers and there was no hook behind the door for a coat, secondly & more importantly the bed was terrible resulting in an awful nights sleep.

Although we’ve paid for breakfast for 3 people this was not available and no reimbursement was made. Rooms allocated didn’t have windows at all - we had to negotiate with the staff to get a room with windows. No air conditioning in the rooms only a small fan Rooms weren’t cleaned every day either. I would not recommend staying here, even if you need access to Huddersfield you’re better off driving into town or taking public transport than choosing this - the price is the same as a manchester hotel - total ripoff

The alleged 4 star hotel on the outside looked odd like a library ☹️. Inside was an odd layout. Reception wanted a further £50.00 (for damage waiver?, never heard of this ever!) despite having paid in full for my room. Changed booking to next day and ended paying double. Despite no further charges?? So guy said Ok, you don't have to pay. As I declined this. My room was on the very top floor, didn't look like what I booked? Very small and very hot. A very tiny window to let air in or light. Fortunately there was a fan at end of bed, cumbersome though as in way, as very small. Shower was dirty, black mould inside and on shower fittings. Toilet roll holder hanging off. Shower toiletries shelf hanging down so you could put toiletries on it if you wanted to. Walls marked and dirty and damaged. Rust on bathroom storage cupboard handles. Kettle inside was marked with heavy brown staining. Very basic tea and coffee offered, not 4 star at all. I stripped bed as I generally do. Pillow stained. I have photos of things mentioned. Will report to Hotelscom. Zara at breakfast, attentive and friendly. Ordered hot bread in fast advertised avacado on with mushrooms, poached eggs. No mushrooms, apparently they ran out! A few at breakfast. Not 4 star. 2 at the most. Very disappointed definitely wouldn't recommend. Very poor, another guest, 3rd floor, daid things were broken in their room too. Soft flush, silver plastic button on toilet, missing. Main shower leaked, had to shower attachment ☹️

Not much parking, I was asked to move my car, but I had nowhere else to move to so I challenged it. The owner was taking up two spaces, I mentioned this to the lady on reception. Eventually after some movement from other guests they found me an adequate space. The reception area was nice, quite blingy and location seemed to be pretty good. My room was fairly small but did the job, could do with a tidy up as marks and scuffs on the walls and bathroom was 100% clean, few marks on the mirror etc. Nice little pub next door that's worth a visit, and plenty of places for food.
