Great, clean, comfortable and spacious room. Very friendly staff. Everything worked in the room. Breakfast was a good spread from traditional Turkish food to English selections. We never got a chance to eat supper there but it was a Michelin award winning restaurant. Prices looked reasonable. Excellent location close to local transport, restaurants, shops and mosques. A quiet sanctuary a short stroll away from the key sights of the old town.Perfectly located behind the Aghia Sofia mosque. Attentive front desk and waiting staff. Authentic Ottoman dining experience in hotel restaurant. Complimentary breakfast. Early morning call to prayer from the mosque quite audible but wasn't a problem for us. We booked a larger front facing room on fourth floor which had a bathroom and a jaccuzi in the bedroom. We liked having the extra space. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Ottoman Imperial is a gem. It is a quiet location and easy walking to everything you want to see in Sultanahmet. The staff is some of the most helpful and kind I have encountered. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Michelin starred restaurant is not to be missed whether you stay or not.

Staying at Ottoman Imperial hotel was the best decision we made for our trip. The staff there was very accommodating and so warm and friendly. The breakfast was always delicious and the staff never hesitated to assist us with our needs. I went there with my elderly parents and they had a wonderful time. The beds were so comfortable and never had any issues with the wifi. The location cannot be beat, it was right across The Hague Sophia, 5 min walk to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace 8 min walk and so close to so many restaurants and shops. The guys at the small shop next to the hotel were also very friendly and helped us book a cruise and helped us navigate the area and made great recommendations on places to visit. There was also wonderful spa called Navitas spa right next door. The hotel itself has a Michelin star restaurant that had amazing food and such a great staff. I highly recommend staying at the ottoman hotel.

I loved this place. The staff was so kind and helpful. The location next to the Koptapi Palce, Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque was awesome. The restaurant was amazing! Wonderful food, service and view! Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the dinner was amazing! Flavorful and fresh. They have ancient recipes for some dishes that were incredible — hummus with currants and cinnamon, for example. It was a lovely place to eat. Better than other restaurants I found in Istanbul.

This hotel is a great find - an absolute gem! We loved our stay there, and it's in the perfect location to0. I'm disabled and have to use a mobility scooter or a walking frame. The hotel is not totally step free, but the staff bent over backwards to help. There was always someone on hand to lift the scooter up the steps, or connect the charger etc. They were also happy for us to have our breakfast in the main (ground floor) restaurant (by the window!), rather than climb the flight of stairs to the normal breakfast room. We were struck also by how helpful - and happy - all the staff were. We noticed a couple of ladies working in the kitchen preparing some food and they were chatting together happily, and even dancing on the spot a little, while still carrying out their work at a commendable speed! Altogether 10 out of 10 in all aspects!

You’ll hear the calls to prayer throughout the day (and early morning) and can walk to many of Istanbul’s main sights. Just blocks from Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque and a lovely park with fountains and vendors selling roasted corn, bread and tea. Our room was very clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. We were welcomed at the front desk by kind and efficient staff and enjoyed the delicious and bountiful breakfast buffet both mornings of our stay. Lots of great dining options nearby and trams connecting the city are accessible just a block away. We arranged a taxi to the airport through the hotel desk and they shuttled us in their “buggy” to the waiting van a few blocks away. Highly recommend this hotel!

I’m not sure where to begin. The rooms are in disrepair. I’m not sure what’s going on. There has been no renovation or anything in decades. The furniture, walls, bathroom were just in poor condition. We stayed here over 10 years ago, and do not remember this condition. The pillows felt like they were a decade old, like hard as a rock. If you are desiring location, a nice restaurant and great customer service, but don’t mind poor room conditions, then this is the place for you. I’m doubting we will ever stay here again.

Der Zustand dieser Unterkunft war katastrophal. Das erste Zimmer (Standardzimmer, wie gebucht) in dem wir gelandet sind, war alles andere als das was man gesehen hat. Die Toilette hat gestunken, Klodeckel war kaputt. Erst lief kein Warmwasser. Es war sehr renovierungsbedürftig. Daraufhin haben wir uns beschwert und haben ein “Upgrade” (laut Personal) nach einem Tag bekommen. Das Zimmer entsprach eher den Bildern. İch muss aber sagen, dass ich in der Gegend schon einige Hotelaufenthalte hatte ün der selben Preisklasse, welche definitiv viel besser waren. Frühstück war auch reinste Katastrophe!

Der Service, vor allem die junge Dame, die fast allein das Frühstück betreut hat, war aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Lage hinter der Hagia Sophia ist nicht zu toppen. Das Hotel ist schön und geschmackvoll, allerdings könnten die Zimmer eine Renovierung gebrauchen. Unser Bad war riesig , aber ohne Ablagen und Haken. Das Wasser lief nicht ab und die Beleuchtung im Bad und im Zimmer ist sehr ausbaufähig. Trotzdem haben wir uns wohlgefühlt, eben weil die Mitarbeitenden einfach sehr freundlich waren.

Nice sized room with comfortable bed cleaned daily. Staff really helpful and friendly who drove us to the taxi rank when we were leaving as traffic was unable to stop outside…because we were a stone’s throw from the Hagia Sofia!! So well positioned for that and all the other main attractions. Would definitely recommend and will return in the future.

Location is right next to Hagia Sofia. Room we had was fairly spacious with a balcony and huge bathrooms. Really loved the large shower and turkish style bath with the marble sink and seats in the shower. Bed was comfortable. And staff was super friendly. HOWEVER - The location doesn’t seem to be accessible for Taxis. Ours dropped us off at the bottom of the hill because of the tram. We had to walk up hill with our luggage on cobblestone and observed other guests arriving do the same to get to the hotel. So book proper Airport transfers that will get you right at the hotel’s door step. - The hotel is old and needs updating. The rooms are clean but tired. Like the carpet in the room has old stains. The air conditioners are also old and underpowered for the room size and need replacing. We arrived in the evening and its been a very hot week (its summer time and there is a heat wave) the room we had would not cool and we could not sleep. Around 11pm we requested to maybe borrow an electric fan if available but they did not have one. After 3 hours we requested for a different room otherwise we were going to check out and book somewhere else. luckily they had another room available hoping it would be better. The new room took about 6 hours to cool but after that it was okay.

Bathroom is in terrible condition and very tight. There’s not much space around the toilet. Toilet is too close to the wall. I had to sit sideways. Rooms are not sounds proof. I can hear the next rooms noise. The noise or prayers from Hagia Sofia and blue mosque speakers prayers are very annoying all day and throughout the night.

Das Hotel ist klein aber gut gelegen. Zimmer sind veraltet aber Zauber. Matratzen sind alt und durchgeschlafen und müssten dringend erneuert werden. Matratzenschutz war sauber aber die Matratze darunter nicht. Zimmer war OK aber die Heizung funktioniert nicht immer und Klima Anlage. War defekt. Muss dringend erneuert werden. Der Hotel Besitzer muss dringend eine rund erneuerung machen.

The hotel staff was extremely hospitable, friendly and nice. They also were a great assistance in arranging a very early transportation from Istanbul hotel ottoman to the airport for a flight to Sofia Bulgaria and did a wonderful job including packing me a lunch since I would miss breakfast that day. I really appreciate the support and I think this is a great place to stay.

The location was excellent in terms of closeness to the Hagia Sophia and other sites. However, our room and bathroom were very outdated. Also, it was right by the tramway tracks, so the train noise and calls to prayer from the Hagia Sophia made it tough to sleep through the night.
