After booking this hotel, I received an email from them explaining that they were having work done on the exterior cladding. This work was being carried out Monday to Saturday, from 0830hrs to 1730hrs. On Sunday, we were awoken by the noise of scaffolding and chatter. When I spoke to reception, they told me that the work was carried out every day and not just Monday to Saturday, as the email had told me. She apologised and said that she would let the reservation team know that the email was incorrect. Aside from that, the hotel is clean, with friendly staff and well located. Good range of breakfast items that should cater for most tastes.

Great location and handy parking across the road albeit a little expensive. Hotel was nice and clean, basic but had everything I needed. Room was clean and tidy including the bathroom with coffee and tea facilities. Staff were on hand and very pleasant and helpful. Good location for Headingley ground, just over 30min walk away

Decent stopover for visiting the university. Parking is directly opposite and aprox £9 per day. Parking charges are 8am - 10pm. Breakfast choice was small but decent. Desk staff were very nice. Rooms on the lower floors can be noisy as they have thin walls and are close to the road.

It’s an ibis. It offers a bed, a tv and a shower/toilet pod. How they can justify over £100 with no parking or comfort I have no idea. It’s ok - luckily just one night. Overall impression? ‘Meh’

Once again had a good stay at the Marlborough, housekeeping staff looked after me with plenty of coffee & tea thanks. only down side was my last night got to hotel to find lifts broken again & had to climb 7 flights of steps to my room.

I have used this hotel on several occasions and always been pleased with it. It is very well located for the office that I visit regularly. On this occasion (January 2024), I was very disappointed that the restaurant was not serving evening meals, only snacks.

I enjoyed staying at the Ibis. The room was clean, the hotel was clean, and great staff. I was happy to have a TV and kettle with supplies for making tea and coffee. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

There was a very strong smell of sewage in the lift area, no idea why as we were not on the ground floor. Bed was very comfortable, room clean. Lovely, very hot, powerful shower. Decor a bit tired but it was fine for our purpose. A good night's sleep and a proper shower is perfect for 1 night

The staff are really welcoming and the entrance/breakfast area is lovely. However, the rooms are super basic, not that clean, old fashioned and the bathroom pods are old and rusty. Located right next to a very busy main road it's quite noisy (I was aware of this, just highlighting) and was a bit hared to work round the areain certain directions because of the road/traffic.

Great budget stay at the Ibis in Leeds. Staff very welcoming, room at the expected standard although it was very warm. We opened the window as and when needed but it was loud as next to a main road (which we did understand and didn't cause us a problem). Wifi in room was excellent which was a huge plus point as we were working on our laptops in the daytime. Would defo stay again.

WiFi did not work for the entire duration of my stay. I was only told about the works going on at the hotel onceni actually made a non-refundable booking. There was no indication of this prior to booking. Rooms are very basic, no phone, no safety deposit box. Windows should be changed to better sound proofing as one can constantly hear traffic, even from the 8th floor.

Everything one would expect from such a priced hotel. Everything clean, although not brand new but in a good condition. Excellent breakfast, tea and coffee bags in room everyday filled in enough amount. Appreciate openable window in room. Service was very helpful and warm. Only strange function of A/C just cooling or heating upon aouter temperature, not user control.of temperature just on /off manner.

Staff were all very helpful and attentive. Meals were not fine dining but good enough and good value. Breakfast was generous and a good range of options. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I have 2 other comments: the music playing constantly in the dining room was not to my taste but worse, it was really loud and intrusive which I really didnt want when I was eating. Second: I had occasion to ring reception from my room, twice and got no reply either time. I did mention this to the staff, and they were apologetic. I would definitely stay there again next time I’m in Leeds. I could walk to the City Centre easily, which was important to me.

One of the guys on reception on the eve of 11/02/2024 was a right grump. Completely ignored my question. I saw another customer complaining about him this morning as well. The Asian guy on the other hand was very friendly and helpful

Not satisfied with our stay at all. Booked with Expedia and money was taken out of the bank, however when we got to the hotel was told that “it didn’t come through” and was refused a room and forced to make another room booking! Meaning double payment for one room. Was told they would not be able to do anything and we would have to contact Expedia, now left down two hotel rooms worth of money, for an overpriced, unwelcome stay.

Couldn’t sleep due to a party in another room. we moved room at 2am, so the staff helped when told about the problem. But I can’t give a positive review on 3 hours sleep. That issue alone made this my worst hotel experience.

As expected, except one very troublesome issue. We had 2 rooms. For both rooms, the key-card stopped to work several times. Even though we took care to avoid demagnitisation, the key stopped to work. And, it worked from the lobby into the stairs, but not into the rooms. No appology, just reprograms the key. Very irritating when you have to travel down to the lobby more than once because reprogramming did not work. This is not acceptable, and reason enough for avoiding this hotel.

We booked this fairly last minute but the location is not great, alongside a58 so really noisy. We didn’t sleep well at all, constant road noise and room was either too hot or too cold. Bed not very comfy. Wouldn’t advise solo female travellers to stay as walk from city centre and location fairly isolated.

Hotel itself is fine and nice and clean but it's not a city centre hotel, it's the outskirts of Leeds. It's around a 25 min walk to the city centre and further if you want say the Armouries. Came home shattered due to all the walking we had to do!

The breakfast options was really good I was not going to have breakfast as I was due to be out early but the timings worked for me there was a lot of options and the quality was good. The staff were absolutely great and helped me with all the queries I had. I had a lovely experience. Thank you!

Upon arrival the guy behind the desk tried to charge us 10 pound for an early check in, I said no & asked if we could leave our bags there as per the email we received, then he gave us the key to our room ?? The motel said it has a restaurant but failed to mention it doesn’t offer meals on a weekend which should be advertised, we wouldn’t have stayed there if I knew that, nowhere Close to even buy a coffee or a meal that doesn’t consist of bloody curry,

Clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, great, friendly staff. The breakfast had cood food, but often some hot things were cold or had been warming soblong they were hard. Good cold selection and good coffee. Great budget hotel.

The breakfast was a highlight, we arrived late so didn't use the room much. The doors seemed to close with a slam sometimes so we heard people leaving their rooms. Otherwise everything was great. Really loved the breakfast compared to other similar chains. Great tasting coffee, dairy alternatives provided, really nice. Location was great and would stay again.
