Good hotel in the centre of Leeds. With the new pedestrian work completed driving to this property is now very difficult so I would advise checking prior to booking. Staff were great and very helpful

Positives - Easy check In, good breakfast, nice bar area. Negatives - One of the 2 lifts out of order. Kitchen closed, no room service, room very warm and air conditioning not effective. Expensive parking (£30 overnight)

The queue to check in was terrible, almost 30 mins, only 2 out of 3 reception points manned. The couple in front had a newborn baby which was obviously hungry so felt for them. We were attending an event at the Arena and the bar was closed when we returned despite people still sitting in there. We could have ordered a drink from room service but wine was £9 for 250ml (not too bad) but £35 a bottle… how do they work that out? We were in a superior room but it was far too dark, limited lighting and a window which was at the far end of the room. On the plus side shower was nice with large fluffy bath towels. Overall based on the price stay somewhere else.

Good stay for a reasonable price. Room was a great size only issue was windows didn’t open and close without a special key so we had to get maintenance to come up to close the windows. View was in the light well but was nice enough. Iron and ironing board was supplied along with toiletries and fresh bottles of water. Room was clean and the car park is based inside the Light complex which offers great accessibility to the hotel.

There did not seem to be sufficient staff. Everywhere was dark and insufficiently iluminated When fire alarms going off caused consrernation among many of the guests it was another guest who having spoken to the desk clerk, took the initiative and informed the assembled people that the alarm was false. There was no hot water in the morning for bathrooms and showers. After breakfast it was on but even minimum settings were scalding hot the hotel might easily have incurred injury claims from guests. Dirty grout and loose attachments in thr bathroom were unsightly and hazardous. The room we stayed in backed onto an indoor area filleed with chain eateries and the sound insulation afforded by the windows to the room was not adequate.

This is the 5th time we have stayed at this hotel in 3 years. Although we would/ probably will stay again I felt the room needed refreshing wall marks and carpet stains a plenty. Also bathroom had mould around the bath. It’s a shame as we enjoy staying at this hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights I was a little bit surprised by the cleanliness very dusty in places and bathroom floor unclean. Went down to bar for a few drinks and was told there was no beer, non on draught and no bottles! Had to drink elsewhere. A little slow on putting out plates etc for breakfast. Staff really friendly and helpful and had an overall pleasing stay.

Checked in at 3pm and just dropped cases in room and went out for the evening. Room looked ok initially. Later in the evening when we came back to the hotel we noticed that the towels had been used in the bathroom as they were hung over the bath. There was no fresh towels, the bathroom bin was full, the bath mat was in place in the bath and there were toothpaste marks around the sink. I contacted reception to advise and they just asked how many towels we needed. The coffee mugs and glasses had also been used and I advised them of this when they brought the towels and they stated they would bring some fresh ones in the morning (they didn’t). We were tired and it was late so didn’t want to make a fuss but feel we should’ve been offered a room that had been cleaned or offered to have it cleaned or even an apology. Told reception of the issue and all they said was they’d pass it on to housekeeping. I made a formal complaint and they also said they would pass it on to housekeeping. I don’t feel this is fair compensation for having to stay in an unclean hotel room. Will not be using this hotel in a hurry again.

Very surprised to find the room was tired and grubby. Marks on the walls and stains on the ceilings. Bed linen was stained and we need to ask for it to be changed. Very disappointed. Have stayed before without issue but this was without doubt the worst hotel room and I stayed in for a long time. Far away from 4 star.

We enjoyed our stay overall, but the aircon didnt work and on floor 6 it was boiling hot so we didnt get much sleep at all. The roads and outdoors were too noisy to keep windows open and my partner woke up feeling faint in the night from the heat. We came home exhausted which wasnt the idea of the trip. Disappointed because the rest was great.

This was a standard room. It was small and situated in the heart of the hotel so had no natural light. The air conditioning although set to 17 never dropped below 22 so the room was very hot and claustrophobic given that you couldn't open a window to even get a breath of air. I was only there 2 nights. Couldn't have managed any more. Room was clean. Room service menu was a shocker. All in all disappointing especially for the price but obviously the location is what you're paying for.

Didn't take breakfast so can't comment. Room and bathroom a little tired. Pillows not great. Biggest issue was "air con" not responding to temperature set. It was just blowing hot air, so poor sleep as room got hotter and hotter up to 26 degrees overnight!

Great hotel, located central to shops, bars and restaurants. Quiet at night, no disturbance from passing traffic etc. Only thing I would say is that the mattress wasnt sturdy, every time my husband moved in bed it felt like I was on a bouncy castle, I could feel every movement. Also, complete preference on my side but the pillows are way too soft. No support and found it a struggle to get comfy.

Property is conveniently situated. Rooms are small and a bit grim and dimly lit. The building is lovely but interior design leaves a lot to be desired. Everything is grey and looks drab. Trying to get an early morning shower was impossible. Water pressure at a trickle. We did complain and management adjusted our bill accordingly but Radisson need to sort this problem urgently and install booster pumps. There are better hotels to stay at.

The size of the room was fantastic! I would also like to give a special mention to the young lady who met us when we got to the restaurant for breakfast this morning; you find in most hotels the hosts for breakfast are quite dry and not very welcoming but she was fantastic and so bubbly / welcoming!

Check in was slow. 3 desks, 3 staff. 1 staff just stood there ignoring the queue going out of the door. Turns out her computer wasn't working but rather than putting a sign, telling people this or stepping out of the way so it appeared unmanned until the queue clear she just stood there. Very unprofessional. The room was lovely. Spacious and clean however we were placed in a room with a high up tiny prison like window that looked on to a brick wall. Very disappointing. I like to see where I'm staying and appreciate natural light. To be in a superior room with sub par window doesn't make sense. Breakfast was also disappointing. The heat lamps are useless. The food was cold. Getting the attention of the chef to ask for food topping up or a fried egg was a real task. They ran out of pastries and the coffee and bread are poor quality. Save yourself the cost and get to wetherspoons down the road. The location is fantastic. The hotel is nice and presentable as well as quiet. I would recommend but as I say there's some tweaks needed and I will make sure I ask for a decent window next time

Was given a room with twin beds and after another lengthy queue to complain was told they we had been upgraded to larger twin room! City centre location but bar closed at 10pm

I stay at this hotel every year for our works Xmas night out. I cannot believe how much it has gone down hill since last year. Staff absolutely terrible clearly hate their jobs and rude to guests. This morning whilst checking out the lady just left me standing there whilst she had a chat to her mate. The bar had no draught and sold out of bottled lager by 5.30pm there is a Morrisons up the road surely someone could go and buy some.

This morning whilst checking out the lady just left me standing there whilst she had a chat to her mate. The bar had no draught and sold out of bottled lager by 5.30pm there is a Morrisons up the road surely someone could go and buy some.

Great hotel and location. Check in wasn’t great as very busy and took 20 mins, however, staff were very friendly. Booked afternoon tea the next day but then was no record of booking so was disappointed. However, big thank to the manager who was excellent at resolving the situation. Would definitely stay again .

I would have rated this hotel higher as the rooms and public spaces are good but we had the worst experience of checking in that I have ever had in visiting hundreds of hotels. We had to wait in a queue for at least 40 minutes before we managed to get checked in. Basically the hotel won’t let anyone check in before 3pm (unless I assume you’ve paid an additional charge) and tell everyone to come back at 3pm which many guests duly did all at the same time and staff just couldn’t deal with the volume. And only 2 of the 3 desks were staffed. Very poor.

The hotel is in a very good location and there is a good car park underneath. The room we had was good too. The main reason why the review score wasn’I higher was the TVs weren’t working. When I tried to call reception nobody answered. I tried many times and never had my call answered. When I went downstairs to ask about the TVs I was basically told nothing could be done about it. The receptionist wasn’t very helpful.

A very pleasant stay. The hotel is ideally situated in a central location. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that our room overlooked The Light, meaning we were disturbed by the light at night and we were woken at 8 o’clock to the sound of Christmas music

Good hotel in the centre of Leeds. With the new pedestrian work completed driving to this property is now very difficult so I would advise checking prior to booking. Staff were great and very helpful

Everything was extremely good. Tha hotel is in a great location and ideal for all the city's amenities. Perfect for shop's, cinema and close to the train station, and restaurants.

The room and property was fine however the meal in the restaurant was not as good. In particular the Margherita pizza served was the most tastless pizza I've ever had BY FAR! these eas no taste. It was like eating damp cardboard. You couldn't taste any tomato or any cheese even though that'sall that was on it! Truly awful!

My wife and i went to Leeds for a gig. We picked the Radisson Blu due to its proximity to the venue. Check in was okay but reception were not sure if the restaurant would be open for the booking we made a few days ago. They checked and confirmed the restaurant would be open at 4pm for us. We went to our room 349. Started unpacking and noticed a couple of insects, thought nothing of this and we went to the restaurant. First off they struggled to find a menu. When we did get a menu we asked for a fish and chips and a cheese burger and salad. When the food arrived we were very disappointed. The chips and fish were from a frozen meal and the burger was dry and again from the freezer. See the pictures below of what the Radisson advertise and what we got. We complained and was offered a 50% discount on the food. The waitress apologised and could not do enough but the food was bad. As we did not have enough time to else where before our event started we eat the food as we were hungry. It tasted worse that it looked. We quickly left and had a great evening in Leeds. On return to our hotel our room had several insects all around the bed head. We could not sleep here so asked to change rooms. The reception happily got another room ready. In the morning we had breakfast in the restaurant. Most things were okay but it is the first time i have seen an egg chef burn a fried egg !!!!

Room was ridiculously hot and air conditioning didn’t appear to work despite making a noise. We got very little sleep. Breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. Eggs were hard and looked like they had been made a long time previously. They tasted awful. Non of the hot breakfast was fresh tasting. So disappointed.

Our stay was good, the hotel was brilliantly positioned for Greek Street and all the food outlets and also for the grand theatre and the varieties theatre. Breakfast were excellent with lots of choice and eggs done freshly upon request.

Check in was slow. 3 desks, 3 staff. 1 staff just stood there ignoring the queue going out of the door. Turns out her computer wasn't working but rather than putting a sign, telling people this or stepping out of the way so it appeared unmanned until the queue clear she just stood there. Very unprofessional. The room was lovely. Spacious and clean however we were placed in a room with a high up tiny prison like window that looked on to a brick wall. Very disappointing. I like to see where I'm staying and appreciate natural light. To be in a superior room with sub par window doesn't make sense. Breakfast was also disappointing. The heat lamps are useless. The food was cold. Getting the attention of the chef to ask for food topping up or a fried egg was a real task. They ran out of pastries and the coffee and bread are poor quality. Save yourself the cost and get to wetherspoons down the road. The location is fantastic. The hotel is nice and presentable as well as quiet. I would recommend but as I say there's some tweaks needed and I will make sure I ask for a decent window next time

Staff were all very helpful. Bed very comfortable and air conditioning in the room was a modern system which was easy to use and very much needed. Bar and food quite expensive but room rate good for a city centre hotel. Location was great too....shops and restaurants etc on the doorstep.

Upon our arrival, we noted that our room had not been adequately prepared, necessitating a return to the reception desk. The staff members were exceptionally helpful and expressed their apologies for the inconvenience.

Excellent hotel, used after eye surgery and was able to get checked in a lot earlier than expected. Room was clean, staff were extremely friendly. We ate out locally so unable to comment on breakfast or the bar. Only downside was the lack of features on TV for entertainment while I had to rest, unable to use Netflix or mirroring that I find in most places I stay these days (not a big deal but would give that extra modernisation)
