We didn’t realize the hotel did not have an elevator, and we had heavy luggage and had to walk up five flights of stairs. The room is very small and there were no amenities (beverages, etc). The water pressure was also very weak. The woman at the desk was very nice though and apologetic It was still tough walking up and down five flights of stairs every time you wanted to leave the room. The location was great, but would not stay again.

This was a clean and safe place to stay. The staff was nice and the room seemed clean. Just a heads up to Americans, do not stay here during hot weather because there is no air conditioning and the rooms become unbelievably hot. We came in September and didn’t think that heat would be an issue but it was as awful. Also, there is no lift and your luggage must be carried up many stairs.

Room was icy cold when I arrived. There was an electronic radiator, but I wasn't turned on. It took a lot of time to get the room to such temperature that I could take a shower. Room was quite dated, but clean. Matress hurt my hip and the blanket was oddly narrow, so it was hard to get under the blanket and fully covered to get a good night sleep in the cold room. Hotel doesn't have a luggage storage.

Easy location near Pimlico tube. Didn’t like finding out no reception after 10pm, after I booked However I made it before then, and checking in was very quick and efficient. Room clean, quiet and comfortable. Adequate, meeting expectations for the price.

If you are an American, read this. We stayed in the largest room, complete with three twin beds and a full bed. There is no bathroom in the room. It's down the hall. It is touted as "adjacent" but it's 14 steps down the hallway. There is no laundry even though the site says there is. There is no ice, no refrigerator, and no food, so be prepared. The service is outstanding and the staff are very helpful.

I really liked the convenient location to the Victoria Coach Station and Pimlico Underground station, safe area, and nearby dining options. It is an older property, but well-maintained and a good value for the price. There is NO lift/elevator, and you may need to go up several flights of stairs to get to your room, so pack lightly if you stay at this property.

I have stayed twice at this hotel. The rooms are small but as a solo traveller they are fine for me. Rooms and ensuite were clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff on reception are very friendly and helpful. Pimlico tube station is 5 minutes walk away and a selection of shops and eating places are close by.

It wasn’t a good experience. The hotel overall needs some maintenance and updates. My room wasn’t sufficiently clean and the toilet wasn’t flushing so I was moved to another room, but at night the receptionist said the manager wasn’t happy about the move and asked me to pay more for the “upgrade” which I found very bizarre. They argued with me and said there isn’t anything wrong with the original room. Any other hotel would have been very apologetic for these types of issues. Then a cold look at checkout. Luckily I only stayed one night because there is a great hotel down the road.

Blades Hotel is a perfect combination of location and quality. It’s in an easy walk to multiple transit lines, as well as major and local attractions. My single room provided more than enough space for my stay and my weeks’ worth of luggage. Extremely clean and up to date. The staff (Tammy in particular) are welcoming, communicative, and a great resource for help navigating London. I would highly recommend this hotel for adventurous travelers who also like a clean and comfortable room when they return.

Good location and staff was nice but property wasn’t in great shape and bathrooms weren’t that clean. Also, the family room that sleeps 5 doesn’t have a bathroom in the room. You have to walk down the hall which is very inconvenient.

It‘s a very old victorian building, therefore you will hear walking and talking, or when others shower. However the area is perfect if you want to explore the city, and on the "quiet" side (bring oropax or noice cancelling earphones) . London is very walkable and connected through the tube. The excellent staff and comfort of the Hotel make up for it‘s imperfections. I really enjoyed my stay.

The Blades Hotel is a very comfortable small hotel within walking distance of the Victoria Railway Station (~15 mins) and very close to the Pimlico Underground station. The stop for Bus #24 is nearly adjacent to the hotel, another added convenience. The rooms are small by 21st Century standards but typical for central London hotels. Our room was very clean and quiet. Staff at the Reception Desk were very friendly. My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Blades Hotel and were very comfortable.

Room was small which just accommodated double bed. On-suite even smaller -required acrobatic flexibility to use! Relatively quite for London, and I suppose relatively inexpensive ? (£125 a night is not good value in my opinion)

I had seen some complaints about this hotel beforehand calling the street-facing rooms noisy and the rooms themselves way too cramped. I can say we didn't have either of these issues, and instead had quite a nice time at the Blades Hotel! The room we had was definitely on the smaller side per person, but we were able to fit four people into three beds without any issues. We also didn't notice any noise or lose any sleep despite being in a room with a large window facing the road. Besides that, the Pimlico area was lovely and we enjoyed the many local restaurants and parks. And the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a nice hotel, great if you would like a straightforward place to stay in a nice neighborhood while still having easy access to major London attractions.

Staff were great, friendly and very professional. The room although small was very comfortable! I think it was a house in the past because it feels like you’re staying in a house. It’s not haunted as far as I could tell but since it is Victorian it wouldn’t surprise me (and it feels like it should be)haha. Huge deal for me was they had an electric kettle and coffee in the room! Rather quaint in that the room key is an old school skeleton key. Neighborhood is great, close to food and the tube so pretty easy to get around. It’s in the pimlico area of Westminster so pretty nice neighborhood. I’ll definitely stay there again the next time I’m in London! My advice is take the tube from kings crossing to pimlico station it will save you about £40

The stay was lovely. It was a quiet weekend at the hotel and the manager gave me a courtesy upgrade as I have a large suitcase (en route to another country for the following weeks). The hotel has no lift and the staff assisted me in bringing my bags up to the room.

We were one of the unlucky ones who were affected by the Heathrow airport closure due to fire. We scrambled to find a last minute hotel after our rental apartment said they had another booking and we needed to meet the 11am check out. This hotel was more than accommodating and we were very thankful. We were able to check in early so we didn’t have to check in our luggage for a few hours at a baggage hold facility. The place was clean and rooms were adequate but tiny. Minuses were that the staff entered our room while we were gone without our knowledge. We caught “maintenance” person in our room “checking the electricity”. And the room was cleaned while clearly we had luggage on the beds and the door started rooms were cleaned every third day. There is a concierge at a desk daily which made it convenient if you needed anything. But there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke that seemed to come from the office area. It is a moderate, good priced hotel for a couple or for a few nights at most.

Lovely, welcoming staff also very accommodating to special requests (e.g. different pillow, more hangers). The room was front-facing, as I had requested, and had great views of the street and the sky. It was basic, no-frills accommodation, and priced accordingly. Definitely value for money. I've stayed at many of the hotels on this street and this is definitely one of my favourites. I would choose it again, for sure.

The best thing about staying at the Blades is the manager. Never have I received such kindness and care from someone who just met me. My husband was taken to the hospital and Tami was intervening with transportation, which hospital I should go and extending my stay. She is a fabulous representative for your company and has extremely wonderful personal skills/communication

A very traditional Victorian tradition hotel with all the charm. Brilliant location. No lift, not a problem for us but beware if you need a lift. Pimlico underground around the corner and quick easy access to all of London from a safe location.

The Blades Hotel is a very comfortable small hotel within walking distance of the Victoria Railway Station (~15 mins) and very close to the Pimlico Underground station. The stop for Bus #24 is nearly adjacent to the hotel, another added convenience. The rooms are small by 21st Century standards but typical for central London hotels. Our room was very clean and quiet. Staff at the Reception Desk were very friendly. My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Blades Hotel and were very comfortable.

Very nice hotel in a classic building. Perfect location, close to two metro stations, and the train and bus stations. My single room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly. Highly recommended, I hope to return!

Be aware that everything about this hotel is small - it's in a historic building, so the rooms are small, there are only a few of them, the staff is small, and there aren't many extras like common lounge spaces, restaurant, etc. However, if you go in with those expectations, this is a delightful place to stay. The neighborhood is wonderful - quiet, felt very safe, easy to access anything you want without being in the middle of the tourist chaos. There's a nice few blocks of restaurants within 5-10 minutes' walk (we especially loved O Sole Mio). Although there's just not space for a lot of frills, it's clear that the staff have made every effort to make things as comfortable as they can, and they were helpful and friendly. If you're not looking to spend a lot of time in your hotel, but you want a restful haven at the end of a busy day, this is a fantastic choice. I'll definitely seek it out for future trips.

For the part of London that you get access to, this place is ideal. The room i got was tiny, but it was perfect for one person. It had everything i needed. The staff were beyond friendly. The coffee shops close by were sooo nice. The parks around also made it a perfect place to just sit and enjoy the sun. I really enjoyed my time there and cant wait to come back to explore more of the area.

Loved the location , with dining and a wine bar close by . Walking distance to train station . Accommodation was safe and secure , clean . The staff member was great and communicated with all the way . Down side of apartment, top floor was like climbing Mount Everest and pillars rock hard .

Staff were superb! Attentive and accommodating. Bed very comfortable which was a bonus after a long day out and about. Great location close to transportation and sights. Room is small but very comfortable. Not a concern as spent most time out exploring! Great price too. Lots of dining options within walking distance. Highly recommend.

We have enjoyed our stay at the Blades Hotel and we really appreciate the help from the staff. Hotel is located in the house from Victorian times and it is close to Pimlico underground station. There is also a lot of dining and shopping opportunities in walkable distance. Hotel is currently undergoing renovation so it would likely be further improved. We have stayed at the room with 4 beds (1x queen bed, 2x twin bed). Our only issue was where to fit our luggage because the space in the room was rather limited. Other than that this was great value for money and we hope to return in the future.

Exceptional front of house/reception. Friendly and very helpful. Very good value for money in terms of convenience of location, quiet spot, close to shops so easy to get breakfast, dinner etc. Very clean bathroom, warm (heating is on) and dry room, comfortable bed. Staff were great, friendly and very professional. The room although small was very comfortable! I think it was a house in the past because it feels like you’re staying in a house. It’s not haunted as far as I could tell but since it is Victorian it wouldn’t surprise me (and it feels like it should be)haha. Huge deal for me was they had an electric kettle and coffee in the room! Rather quaint in that the room key is an old school skeleton key. Neighborhood is great, close to food and the tube so pretty easy to get around. It’s in the pimlico area of Westminster so pretty nice neighborhood. I’ll definitely stay there again the next time I’m in London! My advice is take the tube from kings crossing to pimlico station it will save you about £40

I was really disappointed that my 1st overnight trip to London UK was less than par. I was told my the concerige that since my family and I were only staying one night, she had to put us on the 7th floor. She made me feel less important due to only staying one night. I paid 169 pounds. She proceeded to remind us that there was no lift. It was very hot and humid and supposedly was going to give us the better room with Good views. We got to room and it was dirty. So we walked back down 7 flights of stairs And she gave us the room next door. The bathroom smelled foul and we had two small fans which we put on to help with odor. The shower water source barely came out of faucet, I had to tell myself It's just one night it's ok. I immediately went to let her know how dissatisfied I was with the room and heat. She said I should have emailed them ahead of time if stairs were going to be an issue. At this point, I could not take her attitude so I said nevermind. We spent the whole day out and returned about 10:30pm. I found a letter from her stating excuses about the area and history lesson about London. No efforts were made in person while I was there for one day. They wouldn't even hold our luggage for a few hours. Becareful with these reviews. We had a hard time sleeping due to heat. I guess English culture is to argue instead of listening to customers concerns and offering help. Needless to say, I well not return here.

Lovely greeting when I checked in. Every time I was going out for the day I was greeted by staff. One of the hottest weeks for the area and wasnt extremely hot inside the room. Not a far walk to all the sites. Quiet at night. Good food not far away and stores to grab stuff to take to the room right up the road.
