The hotel was covered with scaffolding and tarps due to work on the building, with machine noises throughout the day. This was a disappointing surprise with no reduction in the standard room rate. So this hotel is not a the best for now and over priced at this time. We were told the work would be finished in early 2026. I recommend skipping this hotel until then. And ask about the status of the work before booking it.

Upon our arrival we received a warm welcome from the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner, and we thoroughly enjoyed the lovely bar with the pianist. We are planning to return to The Chesterfield next time we visit London.

There is extensive refurbishment work being undertaken to the hotel but this was not identified at the point of booking which is a bit deceptive from the hotel. I turned up yesterday to find the hotel clad in scaffolding. Once checked in I had to abandon my room during the afternoon due to the noise created by the guys working on the roof. I had to cancel my online meetings as it was impossible to work with the noise. This morning I was woken by people walking back and forth across the roof moving equipment back and forth at 7.30am. This was promptly followed by more drilling at 8.01am! Not a great experience and one that should have been declared at the point of booking.

Lovely hotel, too bad they put us on just the second floor, but it was exceptionally quiet and our room was nice, what you’d expect when your paying a high price. Only one thing was annoying and I hope this doesn’t become a hotel-trend, but they added an optional gbp15 per day “fee” on to the room and told us it was a tip for the staff. I like to leave a small tip in the room for the chamber maids but not the equivalent of $150! I left a letter for the manager to let them know i don’t like this sort of thing. You can get the fee removed by asking at the desk, but that make the customer feel cheap, and is not the kind of interaction people should be forced to endure. Let’s hope this was an isolated incident. (One more thing, no little fridge in room, and no ice down the hall so we kept having to call for a bucket of ice each day, a bit annoying too).

In a word: Exceptional. From the moment we arrived, until our departure we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the lounge for cocktails, breakfast and fine dining in the restaurant, Butlers. Staff are true professionals, and project enjoyment in service to each guest. This will be the hotel we think of first when we return to London.

This was my second stay at The Chesterfield and was once again a great experience. Staff is friendly and there to help with anything you may need. The rooms are good-sized for London and beds are very comfortable, housekeeping service is great and room was very tidy. The area is so convenient, nice quiet street but walkable and close to underground station. Will be back again next time I am in London.

Totally worth the money - I felt so comfortable and pampered. Great neighborhood to walk around. The staff is wonderful - the room is great. Comfortable bed, great towels and amenities. Bathroom is great. Tea and cookies in the room - more cookies every night. I don't usually stay in better hotels but i'm so glad we splurged for this.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The beauty, the perks, the staff, the food, the bed. Heated bathroom floors. Turn down with chocolate on the pillow. Just felt so pampered. I was sick for the two days and they were more than accommodating. Found me a doctor and pharmacy!!

While the decor is dated and should be redone, the rooms are comfortable and relatively large and the staff is very personable and will go the extra mile to make you comfortable. The location is great, a little away from the hustle and bustle of Soho and Picadilly but still walkable. It is also close to Shepard Market, a charming enclave of restaurants and shops.

What they sell as a junior suite is just a regular room. We were next to a room undergoing refurbishment and so the corridor had paint thinner smell, and there was drilling in the morning. The air conditioner was quite weak and my request for maintenance for dismissed by maintenance. Overall not good value for money In the up side, service was good and the bed was very comfortable

Lovely hotel in a great spot in Mayfair. Very pleasant and friendly staff particularly the doorman! The bar is cosy and beautifully appointed and our room which was on the 7th floor was bigger that expected (as read previously the rooms can be smaller) and it had an open view over neighbouring rooftops. Would return and recommend.

Liked the warm welcome we received upon arrival and the friendly, professional, service from all of the hotel team! We upgraded our initial suite to another more spacious suite,and it was a smooth transition.to a room as lovely as the one we left. We love the traditional decor and the intimacy of the lounge and restaurant, with impeccable service and surroundings.Meals were delicious as were bar appetizers and drinks. Attentive, professional staff, with impeccable manners and caring attitude. Will return to The Chesterfield Mayfair on our next trip to London! We highly recommend it!

The Chesterfield Mayfair has become my favorite place to stay at when I am in London. I’ve been here 3 times in the last two years. It’s centrally located. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. But day keeps me coming back is the exceptional service from the staff of the hotel. They are very accommodating to all your needs. It’s nice to see the same staff time after time. The Chesterfield Mayfair has become my home away from home.

I spent a lot of time searching for the perfect classic English hotel in a great location.....the Chesterfield really checked those boxes. Mayfair is a really beautiful area of London. We spent 3 nights when we arrived in England and then 3 weeks later we spent 3 more nights before we went home. The Chesterfield is a perfect English experience.

The hotel was in a lovely area and close to Buckingham Palace and lots of very nice restaurants. Our room was very comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Friendly and attentive staff; classic, boutique English historic hotel. VERY Well situated in Mayfaire. Many excellent dining choices within blocks (high-end to mid-range to pub to grab&go). Close to Green Park tube station and Hyde Park. If you want ultra modern sleek vibe, this is not your choice. If you want to feel properly welcomed and taken care of, in a historic venue, this is an excellent choice.

The Chesterfield is an excellent find in Mayfair. The concierge staff were very responsive to my advance questions and requests. The front reception staff were very helpful at our check in and also to our needs through the week. The bar staff were happy and social. Our rooms were decorated well and the beds were comfortable. Location is a short walk to Green Park station, close to Hyde Park, Grosvenor Square and Berkley Square. We were very happy with our stay.

The Chesterfield hotel was tucked away down a quiet street ten minutes walk from Green Park tube station and a good half hour walk to Oxford Street. The hotel was very traditional in its surroundings. Staff were attentive and friendly on the reception and at breakfast. We had The Afternoon Tea of which I was disappointed with as I am gluten free and thought they could have done better but my granddaughters afternoon tea selection looked fantastic. The room was small at the back of the hotel but very clean and beds were very comfortable with large soft pillows. Overall a lovely stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone whom wanted to pay a little extra money for that traditional touch in service.

Upon our arrival we received a warm welcome from the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner, and we thoroughly enjoyed the lovely bar with the pianist. We are planning to return to The Chesterfield next time we visit London.

We enjoyed the staff and the bar was cozy but a little on the expensive side. 15 pounds for a small glass of proseco and 9.5 pounds for a pint of heineken draft.

In a word: Exceptional. From the moment we arrived, until our departure we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the lounge for cocktails, breakfast and fine dining in the restaurant, Butlers. Staff are true professionals, and project enjoyment in service to each guest. This will be the hotel we think of first when we return to London.

Staying at The Chesterfield in Mayfair was completely delightful and perfect! From the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome! From the doorman,to staff checking us in,to the guys helping with our bags, and the housekeeping staff! The rooms were exquisitely clean and comfortable. The breakfast menu was varied so something different could be tried every day. The special touches were so lovely and much appreciated. Coming back to the room in the evening after a long day out, and finding that the housekeeping staff had done turndown service complete with a chocolate on my pillow,and replenishment of the empty bottled waters was a delight! I cannot say enough complimentary things here, so I will just suffice it to say that service throughout all areas of the Chesterfield Mayfair was impeccable! Five stars all round!

The Chesterfield Mayfair is one of my favorite hotels in London, and it's my first choice whenever I visit. Located in the heart of Mayfair, it's within walking distance of the shopping on Regent Street and the West End theaters, yet it's tucked away on quiet Charles Street. It's hard to believe you're in one of the world's busiest cities because the hotel feels so peaceful. What keeps me coming back is the exceptional customer service. The staff genuinely remembers returning guests, which makes every stay feel warm and welcoming. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and after a long day of shopping or an evening at the theater, it's the perfect place to relax. I also appreciate that the bar serves food and drinks late into the evening. After a show, we enjoyed a meal there before turning in for the night, which was a great way to end the day. I've stayed here several times, and the experience has always been outstanding. I highly recommend The Chesterfield Mayfair and will continue to stay here whenever I'm in London.
