Corus Hyde Park Hotel

We stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The first night the room was quite chilly and we couldn't get the heater to blow warm air, reception brought us a heater which didn't have much impact as the room was huge...so reception gave us another room, no fuss or messing about, just moved us. The rooms were lovely and large, really comfy, clean beds and plenty of space. Bathroom good, bathrobes and slippers provided. Breakfast was lovely. We had dinner there both night's, food was good and not at all over priced. The reception team were great, so friendly. Position of the hotel was fantastic, just across the road from Hyde Park. This is a hotel i would definitely recommend and would definitely go back to.

Good hotel, great location at a superb price .. comfortable room, and nice breakfast. The only downer was that hotel bar stopped service everyone, including residents at 9pm, just as folks were getting back from dinner.. disappointing ..

Had a nice stay with friends. The hotel is in a nice area. Quiet and cooler than more urban London, so not a lot of evening options nearby. Only one VERY tiny all night store open. Facility was fairly clean and staff were wonderful, however, they seemed to not understand the idea of Do Not Disturb for maid service. They felt SUPER strong that my towels and trash needed to be swapped out every day, even though both could have easily been left alone for the 6 days I was there (as I prefer). The bar, restaurant, and concierge were incredibly limited but the food always smelled good. Overall a basic property without a lot of perks.

The staff was very helpful, especially Varth. Our room was lovely and the hotel itself was well situated close to the tube and bus line. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful and the food in the restaurant was very well priced and delicious! The neighbourhood was safe ad close walking to restaurants and shops in the area. Don't hesitate to book this hotel.

Great location off Hyde Park, a tube station 2 blocks away (Lancaster Gate) and Paddington is 10 minutes away if you need different tube lines. The room was ok, and my gripes could be North American expectations vs European hotels. But things like used glassware was never picked up from our room, we always had to bring it back to the lobby. Towels weren't folded back up, they were just left where we hung them to dry. I'm used to most hotels at least refolding them for you to clean up. My guess is house keeping is maximum 1 mins per room. Concierge was never at the desk, you had to flag someone at the front counter to get someone so that's something to think about if you're leaving luggage with them and need to pick it up later in the day. This hotel was great for the location and the price. We were 3 (2 adults and 1 child), it was fine for us.

Staff addressed all guest in a friendly and professional manner. We were very pleased with service received from concierge and dining staff. Also liked the convenience to public transportation. Will most likely stay there again, when i return next year. Thank you

This location is near everything such as dining, the park, train and bus transportations, laundry facilities, you name it! It was very convenient and the staff was very helpful. The Only complaint is that the rooms were extremely small but that is to be expected in Europe. Other than that my husband and I had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed afternoon tea at the hotel with the delicious assortment of sandwiches and pastries. Will definitely stay again because the location is undefeated.

Corus Hyde Park is in the perfect location, just across the street from Kensington Gardens. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had no issue checking in early and we highly recommend the breakfast and afternoon tea. Both were excellent. The standard double room is the perfect size for couples who plan to spend most of their day out and about. WiFi was spotty and only one outlet in the bathroom was compatible to international adaptors. With an adaptor the low voltage could only charge phones, not laptops, iPads, or curling irons. Our room door had a tendency not to shut all the way and when we returned to our room after it was serviced, the door was not fully closed. This prompted us to skip having our room serviced after the second day of our 5 day stay.

I often stay at this hotel when I am in London for business. It's convenient and comfortable, with less street noise than many city hotels. The rooms are well equipped and functional. The AC is efficient and not too noisy. The restaurant does a good club sandwich and the staff are always professional and helpful. I wouldn't stay here for a special ocassion because the price is too high for the standard offered and the rooms need renovating.

Perfect location for hyde park events. 10min walk from Paddington station. 2 min walk to Lancaster gate tube station. 2 min walk to a hyde park entrance. Breakfast good. Luggage store. Friendly staff. Room fine for how much we paid.

Bus was nearby but the underground was a 15 minute walk. Room was quiet and very, very small. OK for one person. Bathroom was not as clean as could be. I was on the 6th floor and had to wait for the hot water to get up there so would turn on the shower for 5 to 10 minutes before I wanted to get in but then it did get hot!

Tror att standarden på hotell generellt är sämre i andra länder än Skandinavien så med det i åtanke får man nog lägga till några kronor om man vill bo bättre. Antagligen bodde vi i ett av deras billigaste rum. Badrummet var fräscht men allt annat inte. Värst var lukten av mögel.

Bra frukost och helt okej sängar. Men var extremt fuktigt i rummet och luktade typ mögel. Annars väldigt bra

Staff very friendly and helpful, but the room I had had some kind if insects that bit me to bits

As we walked into the hotel it looks amazing. They clearly take more pride in what the hotel reception areas look like than the cleanliness of the hallways and rooms. The carpets had more stains than you’d like to think. And the rooms, black mould growing around the ceiling in the bathroom, also on the bathroom tiles. Carpets in the room were also dirty. An extreme amount of mould growing around the window. Don’t let the 4 star rating fool you. The pictures they use to sell the hotel rooms look brilliant, it’s only when you arrive you realise that it’s not as nice as the pictures suggest. I feel like I’ve been catfished.

We were given a room on the ground floor. The window did not shut properly and the room was damp. The window also was singled glazed and it rattled in the wind. We moved to a room on the top floor and we moved because it was warmer but the maintenance man turned up with 3 plug in heaters as the air conditioning was not working and there was mould on the pillow cases when we went to go to sleep

Lovely welcoming staff, clean rooms with comfy beds and blackout shutters. Hotel generally needs some repairs (bathroom door didn’t shut, chipped bathtub etc) but would still highly recommend. Adjacent to Hyde park and very close to a tube station.

It's ok needs a refurb.

Clean and functional and low cost. But very very very tired. Tiny double room. Maintainance man has a sense of humour - some interesting DIY going on here.

Hotel really nice rooms very much not up to standard of the rest of the hotel

We paid extra $80 per night to upgrade our 3 night stay, $900 total. Our bathroom had painted plywood on the outside of the bathtub, the tub did not drain, the toilet did not flush properly.. The carpets were badly stained with paint on it. Stains on walls, air con was randomly make a loud noise without been turned on. The waster bin had paint on it. The king bed was 2 twin mattresses: 1 was fine the other was terrible. We could barely see out the window. We asked for another room and after looking at 4 other rooms, ours was still better. Breakfast, was the same every morning, back bacon, pork sausage, powdered eggs, beans & mushrooms, deep fried hash-browns, mini pastry’s, fruit salad that looked fresh tasted sour, Location was awesome.

This has to be one of the worst hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Looks nice, great location but the rooms are absolutely hopeless. We booked a business double room. The bed is 140 cm, and from the bed to the wall it’s approx 50 cm in each side. At the end there is 150 cm to the wall. The walls are so thin we woke up when the people in the next room startet to use the hairdryer. In the bathroom everything gets wet when you shower, and I mean everything. No shower curtain and the draining are in the middle of the tiny bathroom so the waters runs around it. Making it wet both in front and around the shower and sink. We had two dbl business rooms and both were the same. The windows are old and definitely not soundproof, so it’s like sleeping with the window open when it comes to noise. And they advertise with free WiFi, your lucky if your room has a signal. It’s a great neighborhood with so many other hotels to choose from. We have stayed in this area before in other hotels, just wanted to try a new hotel. Huge mistake. Breakfast is very ordinary, very small selection.

Rooms were small and tired. No soft close on doors so heard every door slam from the corridor. Air conditioning noisy. Bed soft. Room stuffy

The room we had was tired. The pillows were from a different century. We had to request new pillows twice. The bed was acceptable but small. The en-suite was tiny. Everything needs decorating. The desk staff were friendly. The hotel couldn’t be better placed. Yards from a tube station and next to Hyde Park.

Vårt första rum fungerade först inte nyckelkorten sen var det massor med klädesmal, jag sa till och vi fick byta rum. Det nya rummet var fräschare men fortfarande slitet, till detta rummet slutade kortnyckeln att fungera varje dag så var tvungen säga till i receptionen och ladda om korten upprepade tillfällen. Frukosten var helt ok, man blev mätt inför dagen men hotellets verkliga plus är läget precis vid Hyde Park och nära flera tunnelbanestationer, buss och shopping!

Huge crashing noises around 1am as restaurant behind put glass bottles etc in bins, lots of shouting etc Had a terrible nights sleep. When we checked out we weren’t asked how our stay was. Room was pretty old and there was no room in the bathroom to put any toiletries. The shower was old and tricky to use, looked like it was about to fall apart. Decor was old and needed a lot of touching up. Great location but room was terrible.

Lovely staff nothing too much trouble would definitely stay again

Dante (reception desk) was amazing. Our check in time was 3pm but on the walk from the train station, i fell and wasn't sure if I had damaged my knees or not. Was in some pain but not sure if I had broken the skin. He overheard this comment when checking in and he immediately told the clerk to give us early checking in at no additional cost. I applaud this gentleman and his caring concern. Thank you

Overall a great stay! We had some trouble with the heating, which apparently was shut down at the hotel. Since we travelled in December it was a bit chilly, but they offered us some heaters, which was great. The service was great! Especially Jason in Concierge department. So helpful with our suitcases and ordering a cab.

The check in was fine. The staff were courteous & helpful. First class service.

I would like to share my recent experience during my stay at Corus Hotel Hyde Park, which, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations or the standards one would expect from a hotel of this rating. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that there was no porter service available. I had to repeatedly ask—and even plead—for help with carrying my luggage to the room. This was very disappointing and not what I would expect from a hotel of this category. Once I entered the room, I found it to be unclean, with visible cobwebs in different areas. I documented this with photos. I reported the issue to the reception, and one of the staff came with me to inspect the room. Frankly, it felt as though I was being questioned or treated as if I were not telling the truth, which I found upsetting and unprofessional. I was moved to another room, but the air conditioning was not working there either. When I raised the issue with the receptionist, she was very rude, raised her voice, and kept interrupting me while I was trying to explain the situation. Her attitude was unacceptable and lacked basic courtesy and professionalism. Later, during the night shift around 5:00 AM, I called the reception again and spoke with a different staff member, who was much more polite and helpful. He moved me to another room where the air conditioning was finally working properly — something I expected from the beginning.

Loved staying across the street from Hyde Park

The Corus is well situated between Paddington and Hyde Park. So in one direction you have the beauty of nature and wide open spaces (the gorgeous Italian Gardens!) and in the other you have access to Paddington and the whole of London and beyond. Located within easy distance of the Circle Line. Access to the city while still being quiet and off the beaten path. My room was spacious and comfortable. My only complaint was a lack of places for clothes so I had to live out of my suitcase.

On north of Hyde Park...perfect for walks. Close to Lancaster Gate ... direct tube from Liverpool Street. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Location is perfect. Hyde Park and Italian Gardens directly across the street and the Lancaster Gate underground is a short two blocks away. Super convenient! Great service at the hotel as well.

Staff good Breakfast and afternoon tea good Room ok but looking tied

Disappointing as the rooms were much smaller than advertised. The bath was blocked in one room so couldn't use the shower. It was meant to be fixed but after 2 nights it was not. Shower base also blocked in second room. By the third night we had to ask for an upgrade just to shower. Thank you very much to Alice as she went out of her way to assist. Dinner took an hour to receive on 2 nights with only three small tables ordering. They do a great breakfast, and the location is quiet and close to transport. There is a very helpful laundromat up the road if you need laundry done.

Everything was great, except the breakfast. Bacon undercooked, scrambled egg overcooked and overall not much choice for breakfast.

Overall, a really good experience. Good location. Nice hotel. Staff were very friendly and professional. Good breakfast. Restaurant staff very helpful. Room compact but modern and clean. Unfortunately, I could not get hot water in the shower until the last morning despite reporting it twice. Seemed to be a problem.with the system, as friend had same problem.

A great stay, fantastic location on the edge of Hyde Park, close to Lancaster Gate tube station. Ate in the hotel and the food was good value. All in all would definitely return next time we go to London.

We booked this hotel very last minute, although our double room was very small, it was clean and had everything we needed for our one night stay. Comfy bed, hot shower and lovely white towels! Breakfast was great plenty of choice and excellent service from all the staff. We would stay again but maybe select a bigger room.
