Crestfield Hotel

Conveniently located close to the train station and Underground stop, so getting to all of the sites in London from there was a breeze! There are also a lot of restaurants within walking distance. The staff was helpful and had a room dedicated to luggage storage so we could squeeze in a little more sight seeing on the day of our departure.

Great hotel near the King's Crossing and St. Pancras International Train Stations. Check in was very easy and staff was helpful. We had a room with 3 beds for my family of 4, which was nice. There is no elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage up a few flights of stairs. We loved that they had a coffee shop on the property and a small courtyard to hang out or eat at, which was lovely. They also provided tap water to refill our water bottles.

There was no lift. Got rooms on the highest floor with 5 -6 flights of stairs with the narrowest staircases that was difficult to manoeuvre with luggages. No help from staff. Otherwise, room is small but good enough for 1 night as a transit for the next train ride

Great bolt hole for a couple of nights in central London, right across the road from King’s Cross station and happy to hold luggage after check out. Rooms small but clean and had everything I needed. I asked for ground floor room because of my elderly mothers mobility and they provided that gif me. Great hotel at a good price

If you’re considering this hotel it’s because you want something relatively cheap and right next to King’s Cross. And that’s exactly what you’ll get here. The rooms are small, but clean and reasonably comfortable. The station is maybe 100m down the street. The staff are super friendly and helpful, though, and the ability to store your bags on the day of your checkout is a great perk. Note that it seems the toilets use recycled water so your bathroom may have that gray water smell.

Reasonable place. A little on the expensive side. Good location. Quiet. Some rooms in an annex which neans crossing a courtyard. Not good it it’s raining. No breakfast but room has a kettle so you can make your own. Look very small but quiet and warm. Bathroom and shower tiny. Grand for a night if there out busy all day. Not sure I’d say any more than that.

I mean I only stayed for 1 night. It’s very convenient if you only need it for 1 night. There is no elevator. The front desk girl was so nice she tried to find us a lower level room but it was fully booked. She did help us take our luggage all the way up to our room. Honestly it’s not bad if you need it for one night.

Cute, small property but convenient to train and activities. There is no lift so carrying suitcases to the third floor in a narrow stairway was challenging. The staff was very accommodating.

Crestfield has teensy singles with teensy full baths but the rooms are spotless, they put instant coffee, tea, cookies and mints in the rooms each day, and it’s very conveniently located within the transportation hub of Kings Cross/St Pancras stations. We checked in and were asked to leave keys at reception everytime we left the hotel, there was different staff on every time we left and returned and we weren't ever challenged who we were on return and asked for room key they could've been giving our room key to anyone. Our room stunk of urine and was tried to be masked by multiple plug ins and toilet duck everwhere,

The only thing I liked was the convenience to the transportation. King's Cross/St. Pancras was just about 5min walk. There are stores around for things you need (Boots, M&S, lots of restaurants, etc.) The hotel though, was very small. I couldn't even open my luggage to get my stuff out. No lift as the hotel mentioned but it was really narrow for those stairs so good luck if you have huge (and more than one) luggage. The sheets were itchy I woke up with rashes one morning so I asked to change the sheets when I stepped out. The lady at that time gave me a disgusting look and just said okay. I knew the sheets weren't changed cos I had the same stains on them when I came back at night. I'm a very neat and organized person so apart from vacuuming and tidying up my bed, there's really nothing they needed to do and yet, my only request to change sheets was never done. I won't consider going back to this hotel for my upcoming trip to London again.

The room was small but clean. The decor was a bit tired but it had everything you could need. Kettle, water on arrival, hairdryer, tv and fan. The bathroom smelled fusty/damp but we were in a lower (under ground level) room. It was clean and soap/shower gel was provided. Overall the room was ok for what we needed, one night, somewhere to stay after a concert.

It was great for us to stay at the Crestfield Hotel. Its only 3 minutes walk from St Pancreas Kings Cross station with so many restaurant and the vibrant night/day life. Room was nice and clean and hosuekeeping was great. We plan to go back with our kids in 2026 and take the quadraple room for a week again.

The room was nice, and it was convenient to King's Cross. However the bathroom smelled of the sewer. I left the door closed and ran in only to use the bathroom. I didn't shower or anything else because I couldnt stand the smell.

Just across the road from St Pancras so ideal when we have an early train to catch. Room all functioned but the tiniest bed and shower room imaginable, so not a great night's sleep 😕

Overall the hotel is Ok and you get what you pay for. The 3 flors up were a bit hard with luggage, but the person on the check in kindly helped me. The room was comfortable and very clean. There’s a big construction going on and the noise is bothersome from 8am on. My room was directly facing it and I’m definitely someone that sleeps later than 8… service is a bit on a dry side, but polite. I would come back, but asking for a quieter room, possibly.

The hotel was clean and easily accessible (located in a convenient area for major sights in London). However, the beds were very narrow which meant you had to be careful when sleeping. In addition, there was no elevator, so we were placed in the basement. There was traffic, construction and general noise which was quite loud all through the night. You had to hand in your key each day. However, there was no requirement of proof when you picked up the key (even though there was constantly a different person working).

The hotel is in an excellent location and the rooms are simply good by London standards. Only we really missed a chest of drawers to store your clothes because there is 1 hanging rail with 3 hangers for your clothes. We slept in the basement at the front and you were woken up very early by the metronoise, not to mention the large construction site right in front of the hotel.

It's my third time staying and always try to book here first when visiting London. It's steps from kings cross station, great places to eat and any type of transportation. Friendly staff and nice rooms.

I don’t understand why the key needs to be turned in at every time when going out. Somebody who may try to fake the guest for taking the key if the receptionist could not recognize the guest’s face. Very unsafe.

The check in experience was awful, this hotel insisted on being given credit card details "for security" despite having paid in advance for the room. I will not be staying here again because of that mistrustful and unpleasant approach. It's a shame their attitude to customers is so awful as the people they employ on site are pleasant and the room was very nice. My ground floor room faced the street so noise and privacy were issues. The room also had a strange bathroom fan which came on randomly when not using the bathroom and when the light wasn't on. At one point it came on so violently that it actually blew the circuit breakers in my room and adjoining rooms, plunging us all into darkness.

Prooerty was clean and service was excellent. Desk agents helped me with my luggage and gave great info about the area. Had a range of beverages to purchase and saved dragging lots of water etc to the hotel. Overall great trip!

This hotel has a massive security problem, primarily driven by its bizarre practices. We needed to store our luggage there because our room was not yet ready. Instead of placing them in a secure, locked area, they were placed in a doorless closet that was off the main lobby that any guest could access. Things were no better with our room. We were instructed that we had to turn our key back in when we departed the hotel. We found this strange, but chalked it up to perhaps a London or Europe thing. We turned our key in and left the hotel for the evening. When we returned late that night, we asked for our room key and were promptly handed it without any ask of our name, a show of ID or anything. We could have asked for any room number. Worse yet, anyone off the street could have asked for ours. This all came to a boil when we awoke the next morning to prepare for our train travel to Amsterdam, only to find our three passports now missing from our travel backpack, which had been in the room the entire time. My daughter was also missing a packing cube full of her clothing items. We searched everywhere to no avail and spent that day scrambling. We were eventually able to secure emergency passports, but these are not accepted in Amsterdam or Paris. We were forced to cancel the remainder of our trip at a significant financial loss to us. The hotel of course claimed a "thorough investigation" but predictably, nothing came of it and no restitution of any kind was offered. BEWARE!

Staff pleasant. Check-in procedure aggravating and far too much unnecessary information insisted upon. Worst of all I was asked to give my card details including CVV number which should never be given randomly like this. I had paid in advance and there should have been NO paperwork at all

The Crestfield Hotel is super convenient to the Kings Cross/St. Pancras area being literally right across the street from the train station. It is what you would expect from most London hotels that are affordable. The room is a little small but very clean and comfortable. No lift but we were on the first floor so not too bad. Plenty of great places to eat right near the hotel. I recommend it for its convenience and cleanliness.

Hotel very handy just across road from kings cross station, Our room was clean and tidy ,however it did smell musty without air freshners in use . Room very warm used the fan alot . Staff very helpful We only used room as a base to stay . Would book again on our next trip to London .

Great spot! Close to everything. Room is small but had bathroom. The Italian front desk person was amazing. They have espressos and a cute courtyard. I would come back.

t5heyy i thought breakfast was included as per expedia but they don,t do breakfasts any more but do supply few biscuits, nice terrace area for smokers, staff are lovely

So close to the wonderful underground trains and Eurostar! Room was very small with limited space for storage. Bed was comfy and I appreciated the bottle of sparkling water n biscuits that we received each day. Disappointed they’ve stopped providing breakfast but Msccas is 5 mins walk. Madeleina on night duty was super lovely and very helpful in several practical ways. Having staff available 24/7 was great too. They have huge train line map displayed at reception so we could plan our route for each day with staff support. I’d stay again but ask for a bit bigger room. No fridge in the room.

Even though these rooms are small and do not have a frig or microwave, they are clean and located close to a great coffee shop. They also have several stores nearby that have grocery items, and a train and tube station are also very close.

Overall excellent choice for a budget hotel. Rooms small but comfortable, very close to major transportation,ie Kings Cross/St Pancras, and great dining options, (Skinners Arms pub definitely worth checking out). Only downside is that the rooms overlook Birkenhead Street suffer a bit from a loud neighbourhood at night (lots of shouting). The hotel though is comfortable, safe and a good base to explore London
