The easy access via the number locks and, via the app, the mobile lock function were absolutely phenomenal choices. After traveling for hours I often don't feel like interacting with people straightaway. Thanks to the locks and all info given in the Sonder app I could easily get everything done on my own. The two elevators ensured I didn't have to climb several flights of stairs after a busy day, which I don't take for granted in London. There are two bus stops in about equal distance from the accommodation, both nearby, and a tube station nearby aswell (in addition to Paddington being 10 minutes away). There's some pubs and restaurants just down the street, a Waitrose and Tesco nearby, so you have plenty of options. My room on the 5th floor was lovely and extremely spacious, equipped with all you'd need: A coffee machine, an electric kettle, a hairdryer, a clothing iron... And the bathroom was equally spacious and modern with a big shower. There was an issue with the fire alarm control panel next to my room, which people came to check on and try to solve quickly after I reported it, with further attempts to fix it the next day when there was no easy solution. I will definitely keep the Sonder Henry in mind for my next stay in London as well, great value for the price!

In a great area that was super conveniently located ten minute walk to paddington station. So much to do nearby too. Hotel room had plenty of everything and more stocked in lobby to be able to grab when needed. Liked the convenience of not having housekeeping and being able to come and go using the app as our key.

A modern hotel - a lot of admin stuff is done via the Sonder app. A decent hotel with nice stuff! It’s located in a nice and quiet neighbourhood that isn’t too far away from London’s popular spots. However, it would be good if there were more toiletries provided - bedroom slippers would be nice, given that this a 4-star hotel.

Very clean, the shower is steamy, privacy. The temperature for the winter days y pleasant. the staff discreet. They provide you with a room passcode, no keys. very fine. Good coffee at the lobby

I enjoyed my 2 nights at The Henry. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The room was nice, but could really do with a fresh coat of paint. Common areas of the hotel were in good condition, and the essentials cupboard is a fantastic idea.

This was our first trip to London and the location was perfect. We took the train from Heathrow to Paddington Station and walked just 9 minutes to the Henry. There was a friendly staff there to greet us (even though the reservation said we’d do all the checking in ourselves). The luggage lockers were very convenient and secure so we could leave them while we walked through Hyde Park before check in. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom and shower are big and nice! They also provided lots of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I would definitely recommend staying here for comfort and the proximity to three different train stations and lines. Even some bodega shops next door to buy water or other essentials.

Lovely hotel, nice modern aesthetic with the highest ceilings which made room feel large, heated bathroom floors, minimalist staff intervention which is great, really nicely attired lobby with a cafe good for quick nice early morning exits, fantastic area, pub across the road that was happy to accomodate requests to watch football games etc on tv. The area so close to Kensington Gardens for a nice walk and then to high street shopping.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable and centrally located with easy access to the tube. Access to storage before check in time allows us more time to explore. Block out curtains heated bathroom floor and access to room supplies where also à bonus.

We stayed at the Sonder for 5 days and it was a very nice stay. I thought it very good value. The positives: - easy walk to transportation. ~10 minutes from Paddington, Bayswater, and Lancaster Gate. - 5 minute walk to Hyde Park and 10 minutes to Italian Garden and Kensington Palace. - Very friendly and helpful staff - Good WiFi and nice lobby area The downsides - there was train right outside our window. It didn’t bother us too much - there is an extra small charge for basic room maintenance. - they offer early check in for a fair fee, but the earliest is 1:00 pm. If they could offer 2 hours earlier that would be much more helpful since many US flights arrive before 9:00 am - the area is nice and safe but not too many dining options in immediate area (though there is an excellent Greek family-owned restaurant right down the street). I would definitely stay there again, and because of my stay there I will look into other Sonder properties.

The room was quite small and often cold, the staff did there best to accommodate my request, to have the room cleaned after I found a dirty q-tip on the floor and hair on the bed. They also had to keep setting the heat for us downstairs because the meter in our room didn’t work. The neighbor was great! Would I stay there gain…. Probably yes!

Beautiful building with stunning foyer & pleasant staff. Rooms are more basic but clean and comfortable. Hotel is in a lovely part of London with great walking and transport options. Good value.

Can’t control ac or heat False/misleading advertising of the flat size Elevator went up when called to floors even if you pressed down Walls were PAPER thin, next door neighbor was on calls all day and night. ~50% of all of the cups at the water station were still dirty (very visible lipstick on rims, dirt on bottoms)

Review of Henry Hotel: Nice clean hotel in a reasonable location about 5 minutes walk away from Queensway underground station. Rooms are nice and clean. They are extremely small, though, with very little room to move around in. It would be a tight squeeze for 2 people, especially if they have luggage. We had 2 rooms and the bathroom in one for the rooms was extremely small. Beds were average comfort. Nothing special. And they had no twin options (rooms are too small for 2 beds anyway) Sleep unfortunately was disrupted at 5am due to a malfunctioning fire Alarm. So overall, was not a comfortable night sleep, and probably won't use that hotel again.

The stay was great. I didn’t like the concept of cleaning my room for an additional fee. Either include the fee or tell guests that your room won’t be cleaned during your stay… but don’t ask for more… in order to…

I feel like a better description of this property would be calling it a “boutique hostel”: it was comfortable and adequate. The app key never worked, our appliances in the room were broken, and two of the three plugs were blown (looked like fire/smoke had been around one of them.) I tried to report it via the app, but it wouldn’t let me submit photos. The photos of the room on the listing were also incorrect (not as many pillows as advertised, which I know makes me sound bratty). I see what the Sonder was trying to do: make a contactless, trendy experience. I think their description and cool app set my expectations way higher than necessary. Overall, not a bad experience. It was a clean and cozy place to sleep.

To be noted that there is really no housekeeping! We stayed 6 nights and the room hadn’t been made a single time (despite us asking). Also breakfast is not included. There is a cafe in the lobby but you need to pay. On the positive, very good location. The hotel/room was in a good condition.

Hot, hotel controls ac and keeps it fairly balmy. I requested it be turned down in my room but it never cooled. They should put fans in room if they won’t cool it further. Overall good for a solo traveler and I liked the quiet location.

Though the pictures looked nice this place was sadly not my cup of tea. The room was tiny and very sterile with little to no personality. I would not have minded this so much except the view from the window was filly blocked by a very close wall. It felt like we were below ground level and was very claustrophobic. Staff did not have any options when we requested another room. We were glad we were only staying two nights! This place might be fine if you're just looking for a place to crash at the end of the day but if you're looking for a room you can truly enjoy there are better options for this rate.

Overall the property was lovely, the foyer was a highlight. We also appreciated the luggage lockers and bathrooms to freshen up until we could check in at 4pm. However, we were most disappointed with the size of the room - the photos are very false in their advertising - we had a very small ‘double’ bed that was pushed up against the window. With a desk/chair at the end of the bed with out any standing room between. On images it appears *much* more spacious with a bedside table on both sides and more space surrounding. It was a struggle to even open up both of our suitcases on the floor - it was just so small - definitely the smallest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in. Also - we were aware and it didn’t bother us at all, but you definitely can hear the trains behind and they are loud. Credit given where it’s due, the hotel was very clean and we appreciated that it was very fresh. The cafe in the foyer had great coffee, and we loved a fresh pressed juice of a morning. I would definitely recommend the hotel for someone travelling alone, or perhaps booking a bigger room for a couple.

One of the elevators was out of order while we were there which was slightly inconvenient as the elevators are quite small to begin with. Other than that we had a great stay. The bathroom had heated floors and the room was large and comfortable.

My only concern was the room where we stayed at in the building was located by or on the side where the train tracks were, it was pretty noisy whenever the trains passed by. We were given ear plugs and white noise machine but they didn’t help much.

I really enjoyed my stay here. There was staff of site at the front desk in case I needed anything but I just used the app chat feature for support. Check in and check out was super easy. Everything was contactless as they had essentials in a cabinet in the lobby that you could get. Unfortunately, if you do want to get your hotel room cleaned, there is a small fee. The hotel is right next to Kensington Gardens making it easy for a morning stroll. There were multiple stations within walking distance making it easy to get wherever we needed to go. The room itself isn't large but was enough for me with space to walk around even with an open suitcase on the floor. My bathroom had heated floors which you could adjust the settings to as well. You can slightly hear the train outside but it honestly didn't keep me up or anything. It was a faint sound. The only issue for me was the bed is more firm and the pillows are on the flatter side. As a side sleeper, it was a little rough but I didn't ask for any more pillows or to see if there were mattress pads.
I really enjoyed my stay here. There was staff of site at the front desk in case I needed anything but I just used the app chat feature for support. Check in and check out was super easy. Everything was contactless as they had essentials in a cabinet in the lobby that you could get. Unfortunately, if you do want to get your hotel room cleaned, there is a small fee. The hotel is right next to Kensington Gardens making it easy for a morning stroll. There were multiple stations within walking distance making it easy to get wherever we needed to go. The room itself isn't large but was enough for me with space to walk around even with an open suitcase on the floor. My bathroom had heated floors which you could adjust the settings to as well. You can slightly hear the train outside but it honestly didn't keep me up or anything. It was a faint sound. The only issue for me was the bed is more firm and the pillows are on the flatter side. As a side sleeper, it was a little rough but I didn't ask for any more pillows or to see if there were mattress pads.

We were disappointed with the size of our room - it was extremely small with only a small area to hang clothes and no shelves or cupboard space. Suitcases had to sit in the limited floor space. The Trainline also ran behind the building on the side our room was so we had to invest in earplugs for nighttime. Fine for one night but unfortunately we were there for 4 nights. Also no cleaning/servicing of rooms - this costs an additional £25 per clean.

The location was wonderful, rooms are clean and spacious. Sheets could use an upgrade. The only huge problem we had was the fire alarms went off 2 nights of our stay at 2am and it absolutely wrecked our sleep. There was no communication from the staff that it was a false alarm, no attempt by them to compensate us for their faulty alarms, not even an apology. Please get your facilities under control.

My stay at Sonder The Henry was great. Fabulous location. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was very clean and served my purposes perfectly. The only change I would recommend is a plug in the bathroom for the hairdryer. There was a plug, but it had warning sign that it was only for shavers. I would definitely stay here again.

Sonder The Henry, while quite nice in meaningful ways I'll go into, is not a full service hotel. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but there are aspects of it that created frustrations during my visit. For example, I broke something in my room and the staff, while courteous, seemed confused about how to handle the situation. I had glass all over the floor and simply wanted it cleaned up. They said the cleaning staff had gone home at 4PM so couldn't clean it up. I said, fine, then I needed a broom. They said the cleaning supplies were locked up, but they'd look for something. I finally received a small broom with a short handle and a dust pan. I got the glass cleaned up in the end, but the whole process seemed absurd to me. Guest are going to break or spill things & staff should be prepared to deal with this easily. I was also frustrated by the room cleaning policy, which requires payment - which I was relatively ok with - AND 24 hours notice. I was in from the States, dealing with jet lag and didn't want to have cleaning staff knocking on my door in the morning the next day when I might be sleeping. I was willing to leave the room for hours on end in the afternoon and would even have been willing to pay an additional fee to expedite cleaning. All that critical stuff aside, this place had a nice soft bed, was quiet, had a very nice shower, was very well located, and was nicely decorated. If you can manage without typically hotel services, it's quite nice.

The Sonder looks designer and sleek but is furnished with cheap knockoffs, which was such a shame, as the finished and building itself is lovely. Unfortunately, the staff were clueless when we arrived early, they neglected to tell the cleaning crew, so our room could be ready earlier (which is supposed to be an option) we waited hours and with some common sense we could have been booked in earlier and had an amazing first day. We offered to pay extra for this, but the communication and opportunity was missed. We’d flown in from Australia so this would have made such a huge difference for us. The hotel itself is near to Paddington which is great to get around the city, and from the airport. The room was generous, with lovely finishes, all the standard amenities were there except for a fridge. We were on the top floor and had a lovely view of the church in the distance. Sunset and sunrise were beautiful here. The review for this hotel would have been a lot higher had the staff been accommodating but as mentioned they were uninterested in helping us their guest as they were busy on their phones. This service seems more important than ever and during our stay they missed this bit entirely. I love the idea of the Sonder brand I hope this was a bad day only. We will try them again but email them in advance and arrange for an early checkin even if we don’t need it.

AC didn’t work, fire alarm one night followed by hall alarm, drunk/loud people woke me for prolonged periods 3 of 4 nights, people came and jiggled the door handle early in the morning. I think the staff care but the other guests and lack of air lead to poor sleep. Good location near Kensington and underground stations.

The property is very well maintained and newly renovated. It has easy access to Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate Station. There is a very large Waitrose grocery store only 15 minutes walk away. There is a pub just one block away.

Loved my stay at The Henry. Room was great, very clean & comfy bed. Excellent shower … important after long day walking around London. Loved the caffe downstairs for coffee & breky in the morning. Fabulous location … so close to Hyde Park & choice of tube stations. Staff friendly. Cannot fault it. Will stay there again.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable and centrally located with easy access to the tube. Access to storage before check in time allows us more time to explore. Block out curtains heated bathroom floor and access to room supplies where also à bonus.

We stayed at the Sonder for 5 days and it was a very nice stay. I thought it very good value. The positives: - easy walk to transportation. ~10 minutes from Paddington, Bayswater, and Lancaster Gate. - 5 minute walk to Hyde Park and 10 minutes to Italian Garden and Kensington Palace. - Very friendly and helpful staff - Good WiFi and nice lobby area The downsides - there was train right outside our window. It didn’t bother us too much - there is an extra small charge for basic room maintenance. - they offer early check in for a fair fee, but the earliest is 1:00 pm. If they could offer 2 hours earlier that would be much more helpful since many US flights arrive before 9:00 am - the area is nice and safe but not too many dining options in immediate area (though there is an excellent Greek family-owned restaurant right down the street). I would definitely stay there again, and because of my stay there I will look into other Sonder properties.

Amazing hotel to stay at, great location, nice staff, the room was a good size for a hotel and all the amenities were fantastic. Anything that needs replenishing you can get from a cupboard in the lobby (coffee pods, tea, milk, etc). The cafe in the lobby also has nice coffee and croissants. Highly recommend staying here.

The room was clean, nice and well kept although pretty small. It didn't matter for us, since we only used it for sleeping. :-) The café had really nice croissants and the hotel was situated in a quiet area with lots of nice cafés for breakfast and coffee. Pretty close to all the transportation you needed and it was a perfect spot to start exploring London from. Friendly staff. We loved our stay and would love to return!

Safe area with restaurants close by. Clean, nice service, comfortable bed, homely. Good price-quality ratio. Breakfast service with healthy options such as porridge and fresh juice a bonus.

Loved it...my only 2 thoughts are: Bigger bedside tables!!! A non slip surface in shower...very slippery once soap is on it...I am an older woman and I was afraid of slipping... and it would be great if the morning food bar, sold wine and beer in the evening! thanks!

I enjoyed my 2 nights at The Henry. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The room was nice, but could really do with a fresh coat of paint. Common areas of the hotel were in good condition, and the essentials cupboard is a fantastic idea.

Lovely hotel, nice modern aesthetic with the highest ceilings which made room feel large, heated bathroom floors, minimalist staff intervention which is great, really nicely attired lobby with a cafe good for quick nice early morning exits, fantastic area, pub across the road that was happy to accomodate requests to watch football games etc on tv. The area so close to Kensington Gardens for a nice walk and then to high street shopping.

To be noted that there is really no housekeeping! We stayed 6 nights and the room hadn’t been made a single time (despite us asking). Also breakfast is not included. There is a cafe in the lobby but you need to pay. On the positive, very good location. The hotel/room was in a good condition.

We really liked the Henry. Its was very clean and nice personnel. A small coffe shop in the lobby with pay for breakfast but also surrounded by other coffee shops and restaurants. Easy access to the heart of the city via Lancaster gate underground.

Can’t control ac or heat False/misleading advertising of the flat size Elevator went up when called to floors even if you pressed down Walls were PAPER thin, next door neighbor was on calls all day and night. ~50% of all of the cups at the water station were still dirty (very visible lipstick on rims, dirt on bottoms)

When listing this hotel, you should make it clear that this is not a normal hotel. It is more of a Airbnb. The difference is that this Airbnb has more rooms in one place. It happened to me that as I was getting ready to go to bed one night the alarm went off and since there was no phone in the room there was no one I could call to know what was going on. There was no reception to contact I understand that this concept is new, but it should not be priced the same way a normal hotel is nor should it be promoted as a hotel. I feel I was mislead, especially by the photos that gave me a completely different impression.

Like a number of people I wasn’t aware until I checked in that it was all automated via phone and code. I like that actually. There were always people at reception. What I did not realize until my second day was they do not clean the room while you are there. I was there a week. I keep myself pretty clean but it was missed. You can pay £25 to ha e it cleaned and in the future I would do that. But really nice place in a great neighborhood
