Huttons Hotel, Victoria London

Stayed at the Huttons Hotel for an overnight work trip to London. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Victoria (quiet, in London? Yes it was) The hotel was easy to find and the reception staff were attentive, friendly and helpful - I needed a fan for my room as I was quite warm, the concierge sorted this very quickly, and cleaned it before giving it to me. I can't comment on breakfast as I didn't take any, but the room was large, airy, clean and the bed was the comfiest I have ever had in a hotel (I stay in 2 - 3 per month, 9 months of the year, so I know a comfy bed). I had a ground floor room, which I was concerned about at first with the noise, but the area was quiet and I was able to sleep with the window open. The hotel, overall, could do with some updating. Some of which appears already happening under the new owners - the beds for one - which arguably is the post important. Some of the finishings (bathroom) aren't show room quality (paint marks, misaligned tiles, VERY high toilet...), but they aren't a showstoppers. The TV screen for the room was very small, but did have Netflix so win some, you lose some. Despite all the negative comments on other review sites and here, you can tell that the new owners are putting in a lot of effort in to upgrade and improve the hotel. If I am in the area again, I would have no qualms about booking this hotel again.

Stayed in the smallest room on our floor; two large and firm beds, but less than 60cm door into tiny bathroom makes this room not suitable for larger persons. Worn down surfases, loved that there were no carpets (but suspect the new flooring was placed onto carpeted floor as all floors were noicy and "soft"). Few electric sockets in the room. Fan was a must as no AC. Toilet seat would not keep up, but we got a good place to rest during our stay.

Staff were nice, room was good but a bit basic. Rooms not cleaned automatically, have to request a clean each time. Table in the room would be good. Fans provided and temperature good.

The room was small but it’s a budget hotel so exactly what I expected however everything was really clean, the bed and pillows were so comfortable and the towels in the bathroom were unbelievably soft and fluffy. The day that I stayed it was a really hot day and although the rooms don’t have air conditioning, the room did have a large standing fan that rotated and it kept me so cool all night, whoever thought to put that there is a genius!! The only real issues were that this hotel doesn’t show on google maps which is odd. When walking to it, I had to find it on street view and then put in the name of the hotel next door so I could get directions. Also, the TV wasn’t properly working, it wasn’t a huge bother to me but something worth checking. Overall I had a lovely stay and if I’m ever visiting central London again, I would definitely like to stay again!

This is advertised as a 3star hotel which I don’t think it is. When we arrived we checked in straight away, however, when we got to the room it is very small no room to put your case or anything else. On pulling the duvets back on both single beds we found bed 1 had used sheets with long black hairs there on and bed 2 also had long black hairs and crumbs in the bed. We reported this straight away and the problem was addressed with clean bedding. The shower room is also very small and is very difficult to to get into and out of the shower cubicle which is a health and safety issue. The towels were clean and were changed when requested. In conclusion it is not a 3 star hotel although it is in a prime location for travel and sightseeing but is in need of updating and refurbishing, there are no modern heating facilities in the room. I must say that the staff that we had contact with were very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel room is ridiculously small, and there is not even room to open a suitcase. No one wants to stay for more than one night. The facility is also very old. No air conditioning. The window lock is broken. No room cleaning except for garbage collection for our 4 night stay. The hotel is located at a convenient place near Victoria & Pimlico railway station and Victoria Coach Station. Breakfast is good, while it is continental and not English.

Very slow on reception, but did offer water! 1 of our rooms smelled of sewerage so 2 of our party had to be moved rooms. 1 room had a dirty floor and 1 room was very stuffy with a dodgy wall socket. Great location just needs modernizing.

This is a 2-3 star hotel but it’s clean and comfortable, location is great and price is OK. You get what you pay for so no complaints

The check in was easy and the lady was lovely and friendly. Our room was a double room and although I expected it to be reasonably small you could barely move. Husband and I are both tall but fit so not overweight and even I struggled getting around the bottom of the bed. Husband’s shoulders touched both sides in the shower and the shower head touched his head. I’m a size 8 and I would say anyone ever size 12/14 would struggle to walk at the bottom of the bed without turning sideways and would also struggle in the tiny bathroom. No air con which I didn’t realise and is unusual for modern London hotels. The fan provided was incredibly loud and whilst the window opened, every time someone flushed a toilet the water crashed down the drain pipe right outside. We left early the next day (after the fire alarm also went off!) as felt so claustrophobic. Fabulous location but the smallest room we have stayed in for the money we paid.

This was the perfect place for our short stay. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful; the room was small but clean; and the location was walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the train station. I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms were very small. Fan was very dirty and lots of dust coming out of it. It was very hot in the room even though it was in the month of Sep 2024.

Stayed 3 nights..The twin room is a bit small but the cleanliness is superb.. an extra small chair/table would make it perfect.The area is close to grocery stores. Just be careful of your belongings when using the nearest underground.

Definitely could have been cleaner. Also, the breakfast was disappointing...far from what one sees in the photos on the hotel profile. Having said that, the staff was friendly and the location was good.

The room was small but cozy. Not especially clean, very dusty and hair noted in the shower. The location was nice, the breakfast mediocre and proximity to bus station was great. Liked the neighborhood very much. Bed was very uncomfortable.

The pictures definitely made the hotel seem nicer. We got there and were greeted by very kind staff. Our room was extremely tiny and hot. There was nowhere to put luggage, and the bathroom could barely fit one person. We also had a massive dead fly on the wall.

Overall I was really unimpressed with the room I was given during my stay. I was on the basement floor in a room that felt like a converted storage area. It's only window opened out onto a corridor with a room door opposite and it was right next to the breakfast area, with paper thin walls. This meant I was woken up at 6am by staff preparing the breakfast and either staff or guests loudly playing Indian music in the breakfast area. The room was not worth £136. I'd expect similar conditions in a cheap hostel.

The hotel didn’t match the photos in terms of cleanliness and facilities. However, upon request, we were able to check out early and get a refund.

Good friendly staff. Didn’t get the room I paid for till 5 days later. Holed up in a tiny room barely big enough for a suitcase on the floor till they moved me.

Very Disappointing Stay 1. Room Completely Different from Website Photos The room we were assigned looked completely different from the photos shown on the hotel’s website. 2. Poor Ventilation The basement room had no proper ventilation. The only way to get some air circulation was to keep the bathroom exhaust fan running. 3. Uncomfortable Mattress The mattress was poorly ventilated, causing us to sweat throughout the night. 4. Serious Safety Concerns The window of the room faced a corridor leading to the restaurant, where any guest could easily walk past or even climb into the room through the window. We felt extremely unsafe during our stay. 5. Fraudulent Behavior at Checkout Upon check-in, we paid a £50 pet deposit. At checkout, the staff initially claimed they needed to deduct breakfast charges, even though we had already prepaid for breakfast online. After we clarified this, they changed their statement and said no deduction was necessary. However, during the refund process, the staff deliberately positioned the card machine where it was difficult for me to see, and only refunded £0.50. It was only after I immediately requested a receipt that they admitted a “mistake” and refunded the remaining £49.50. This made me seriously question the honesty and integrity of the staff. 6. Missing Pet Amenities We also paid an extra £30 pet fee, but no pet amenities (such as pet bowls, as stated on the website) were provided.

Stayed here 2 years ago for our anniversary, and came back this year for our anniversary. Love the spot, it is economical, and though the room is small, it is comfortable, and the staff is accomodating. Checked in early, and there is a secure bag drop if you want to do that as well. It is super close to central London, easy commute to Soho or the sights and the price was right!

Wonderful location! Very close to Pimlico or Victoria station. The structure itself is not bad. The breakfast was a little basic but not bad. Once we arrived we were given a smokers room as non-smokers and the receptionist Cris was very helpful and diligent in solving that problem. No major complains. Would stay here again.

it is close to Victoria Station which make it very convenience if you're using the train, underground or bus. Also there are many place to eat near by, and two supermarkets. Lots of stores. It was not a problem visiting the tourist attraction from this location.

Nice stay, staff were helpful and paid breakfast was a good way to start the day. Rooms could use some TLC and towel service had some variations in quality of towels upplied but overall vrry good.

nice breakfast, but found room a little on the small side for a twin room, not much room for two people with two large suitcases ,but an ok place to stay
