Stylotel

The hotel is about a 3 minute walk from Paddington Station so its quite convenient to access from Heathrow or Gatwick by one of the express trains or the Elizabeth line. The room I stayed in was tight quarters but I've stayed in it before so I was prepared. My only real complaint is the wifi didn't always work in the room or in the breakfast area. I heard and observe another guest saying the wifi in his room didn't work so each morning, he brought his laptop to breakfast with him and worked. I think the unique metal walls of the hotel rooms might interfere with the connectivity so wifi boosters are probably needed. Breakfast was delicious--buffet style with cereals, yogurts, fruits, croissants, toast, boiled eggs or over easy, hash browns, beans, tomato, sausage, and bacon/ham plus juices, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The entire staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. There's also a cafe style social area in the lobby area which is nice.

Staff at front desk and breakfast were excellent and friendly. Suite we stayed in was across the street from main hotel but convenient for breakfast etc. Hotel is only a block from Paddington Station, several metro lines, and the Heathrow Express. The suite for three adults, mom with two adult daughters, was roomy enough and affordable for a week’s stay. Three large windows looked onto street and A/C worked well. Our room was a couple of floors above the bar and the conversation/noise was present but muffled and not a problem falling asleep. There are half a flight of stairs, even with the elevator-which was especially useful for getting the bags up to the room. The mattresses are not thick or soft but comfortable enough. The bathroom is small (think futuristic “space shuttle”) but not unusual for this price range. Having the kitchenette was helpful but we only used it to reheat leftovers. The closet was small so we ended up keeping our suitcases open and stored under the bed. Overall a good stay and I would recommend the suite as a roomy solution rather than two separate rooms for three females who were able to share the space well.

We love the Stylotel! Friendly greeting on arrival, 24-hour free coffee in reception or in your room. Room was rather small this time, but had everything we needed. Great location with easy access to buses to anywhere in London. No need to use the underground really, and it's much more fun from the buses where you can see what's going on. Comes with a free drink at the pub too! We will return!

Very quiet location while being extremely convenient location: around the corner from good restaurants, bars, take-aways, and minutes walk from Paddington station. Staff all very friendly, manager extremely helpful. Great value for price, considering it includes buffet breakfast, a/c and has a lift! Only downfall is the smell of cigarette smoke; it is a no-smoking establishment so either the smell is left-over from earlier days or clients sneak a smoke. Smells from breakfast travel through the ventilation system and I suspect cigarette smoke can enter bathroom that way as well. Only a problem if you are sensitive to that.

Property has no accessibility, requires walking up tall steps into property without hand rails. Up two steps to sit in lobby. Maze like path to room. Tiny elevator, could not accommodate 2 people and 4 suitcases together. Room extremely tiny. No place to put luggage. Could not fully open bathroom door because of bed, even pushing twin beds tight together. Another 10” step to get into bathroom. Very disappointed that property did not mention lack of accommodations for disabled even though I communicated with them several times and mentioned I would be having a mobility scooter delivered. (Scooter could not be delivered and could not have been used in property due to size restrictions. I lost the money for the rental.) Desk personnel were kind and helped with steps, helped bring up and down luggage, and called or hailed cabs. They did what the could in situation.

Lift service was intermittent.

Pros: 1. Very close to Paddington station, which is extremely convinence if you need to travel via Paddington station/ to the Heathrow airport. 2. Breakfast is included and good. 3. Reception staff is friendly and helpful. Cons: 1. The hotel is not heavy baggage friendly, there is not step free access for the heavy baggage, even the staff are helpful which is he would help to carry the baggage down the stair from the hotel door, but there are some steps in the some floor between the lift and rooms.

The property is conveniently located near Paddington station. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to check our bags prior to checking in. I would recommend this place for sure.

Location was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately our room had a terrible mold/mildew odor. After I mentioned it they did extra cleaning and placed an air freshener in the bathroom which helped mask the odor. I looked for a place with a lift because I was traveling with my 87 year old mother and the lift only took us part of the way, we had to go up a narrow staircase to get to our room. Breakfast was good.

We arrived at this hotel from Heathrow on the Elizabeth Line into Paddington, the hotel had sent us an email before this re-assuring us of the various methods of getting there to ease our journey. When we arrived at Paddington the hotel was a quick 5 minute walk away which was pretty straight forward, even with luggage. The receptionist said they were refurbishing the hotel and would we prefer a room that had been refurbished, but was in the basement or a room that had not yet been refurbished, we picked the refurbished room and headed to the basement. the room was clean and looked great but was very small. it had a Nespresso machine for coffee and tea and a fridge. the bathroom was clean and the shower was nice, although it did leak onto the bathroom floor a little. The property does not have a bar, but they do give you a free drink in the pub around the corner which was nice and the pub itself was very friendly. The reception area does have soft drinks for normal prices and the breakfast served was excellent. The staff we met were all very friendly.

The only thing I liked was its location, near Paddington station. My room had this horrible odor in the bathroom and I'm pretty sure they didn't clean well as the carpet was always dirty. I stayed there 4-5 days.

Pros: Staff is very friendly and responsive. Location is perfect h access to Hyde Park, Paddington Station, and lots of great dining options. Street is relatively quiet and area safe and walkable. Cons: Bathroom was not very clean and smelled incredibly musty. Bed and pillows were very low quality. Room was not cleaned during my two night stay.

The location was awesome. Great. The breakfast was great however, the room smelled like sewer. It was coming from the bathroom and never went away the entire trip.

The room was pretty small for 3 people and it could really have been cleaner. The curtains were dirty and the floor was dirty, too. The breakfast was o.k. The personal however was very nice and helpful and the hotel is located perfectly near Paddington Station.

The interior has a veneer of post-modern chic, but the layout is confusing and that's before you get to the room. My room (205) was infested with ants. I killed a dozen in my brief night stay and had to take care with my bags to keep them as far away from them as possible. Never staying here again.

cLEAN ROOM

Pros: Located conveniently, shops and restaurants nearby, only 5 minutes walk from Paddington Station, 10 minutes walk from Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens, nice breakfast included (rare in this area and price range), a room with an adequate A/C Cons: Some rooms are above a pub (The Sussex Arms) on a noisy street, poor access to those rooms through a pub or an entrance next to the pub (and smokers/talkers often block the entrance), small bathroom and shower, mattress and bed sheets were a bit old. We picked this hotel because of an easy access to/from Heathrow Airport via Elizabeth Line to Paddington Station. Four of us stayed in a suite/1 bedroom with a kitchenette for 2 nights. The room was in another building and was right above The Sussex Arms. We had to go through the pub to access to an elevator. When we asked about the noise from the pub, we were told that the pub closes at midnight and it should be okay. However, it was noisy until 1 am on the first night and almost 2 am on the 2nd night. We did not ask to change the room after the first night because we only stayed 2 nights. I don't recommend this room for those who need to sleep early or older people due to poor access with luggage. Bathroom was tiny and hot water was hard to control. Breakfast (included) was very nice and the ladies there were very diligent and nice. A/C of this room worked well.

Great location close to Paddington station. The staff were fantastic. Very responsive and helpful. The room was small, but we expected that for the price. The shower was microscopic; it was challenging to use. We had the A/c go out the first night, but they fixed it the following day. Breakfast was good.

Good: 1. Friendly staff. 2. Very good free breakfast. Bad: Very unreliable WiFi. Ugly: Bathroom is very small. The toilet is right in front of the sink. So you can't stand in front of the sink to brush teeth. The shower is tiny, only enough space for you to stand straight.

You would barely were able to walk in the room. Extremely small and when sitting on the toilet you could touch both side walls and that includes the shower. The location is great and customer service was also great. It was clean. Not enough light in the room. It was very dark in the room. If I was going to stay more than one night would have definitely change hotel. But for the 7 hrs was adequate.

choose this hotel to stay. i dont think i should brag about being place so good so for next time i could find empty reservations. the hotel is 3 min walking to paddington station, which is actually the most important thing choosing a hotel in london. the staff was very helpful and kind, rooms were small but average for london sized and refirbushed, no bad smell or old stuff. bed was comfy, shower pressure and cleaning was good. breakfast was continental kind and open buffet, amazing cookers i think. overall i would come back and stay here again.

Had a great stay here, breakfast was amazing. Room clean and comfortable. Super handy to Paddington. Only negative was the terrible wi-fi. But wasn't a deal breaker.

Great location and service—Andy was fantastic, friendly and helpful. Biggest problem was no manual on/off switch for bathroom light. Translucent door illuminated entire room—big problem at night. WHY??!

Comfortable stay. Close to food and paddington station. Amenities are a little on the older side (no smart tv), and the bathroom was a bit small. Still it was a comfortable room and the staff was excellent.

Hotel staff Andreas was incredibly helpful and friendly. He assisted us in our tour bookings very efficiently. The room was clean and well maintained. Convenient located nearby Paddington station and some major attractions. The hotel manager Andrea was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The Breakfast Manager Elaine was very friendly, helpful and She & her team prepared the best Breakfast we have ever experienced. The housekeeper did an excellent job with her daily housekeeping task. Kudos and Great job to Andrea, Elaine, housekeeper and the entire Stylotel Team.

The manager here was excellent. He helped me finding tours and a couple shows to see and they were just always great and helpful and went out of their way to help me out. The breakfast is outstanding with lots of options. A very big english breakfast. The location was fantastic. It's near the Paddington train station, the underground and the. Regular buses lots of small great restaurants around too. I felt really safe as the senior citizen traveling alone.

Great stay for concert at Wembley. Fab staff member on reception who gave us a great tip for getting to and from Wembley stadium.

The location of this small hotel is perfect. The room was small but just for two people for 3 days was good enough. The breakfast was delicious, the best of this hotel is the staff, Andres in the front desk is the best, very helpful and nice. The rest of the staff, the other guys in the front desk and the ladies in the kitchen were excellent. I definitively will go back to this hotel again.

The hotel is small, and there are a few steps (two or three) at the entrance to the reception, which made it a bit difficult to bring up heavy luggage. However, breakfast was provided in the morning, and the staff were extremely friendly. They gave directions and were always helpful whenever I needed something. The location is excellent—very close to Paddington Station and Hyde Park. It wasn’t too noisy either, so overall it was a pleasant stay.

This is a solid, reasonably priced central London hotel option for travelers who DO want to be extremely near Paddington Station and reasonably near other attractions but who do NOT expect a lot of extra frills. The rooms are small, as you would expect for the price and area, but well designed to put everything you need at your fingertips. The breakfast is exceptional and the dining area has ample seating. The staff sees to go out of their way to provide information and answer questions. As a bonus perk, the hotel is affiliated with a lively cocktail bar across the street where you can cash in a voucher for a free drink!

The hotel was a few minutes walk from Paddington Station. Plenty of restaurants close by. Friendly staff. Good breakfast included with the price of the room. The bed was comfy. About a ten walk to Hyde Park.

This hotel might be a little odd- looking, especially the rooms, but it's reasonably priced and within sight of Paddington rail station. And unlike other hotels like it, if has a lift to all floors. The room was clean and well kept, and allows you to reuse towels. However, the bed felt lumpy and uncomfortable. The breakfast was good, having a variety of options from Full English to Continental. And the hotel offered to keep my luggage before I left, which is definitely a relief.

We had a triple room so space was a bit tight, but was only in room in the evening. Clean towels every day, full breakfast was hot and great. Very close to underground, Paddington station and lots of restaurants very close. Staff was friendly and helpful Highly recommend

The hotel has a modern style which is very clean and tidy. Our room was spotless and all staff were very friendly. The breakfast was included which made our stay great value, plus we had two free drinks at their pub around the corner. It is also minutes away from Paddington.

Excellent venue with an amazing breakfast

It was a great stay - easy from London Paddington station and the manager at front desk was super and so helpful - great value for money and nice breakfast sorted us for day out on town - would stay again.

Just returned today and enjoyed our stay, host was very helpful on reception nothing was too much trouble. Welcome drink offer and breakfast included are great touches. Climate control in the room was appreciated in this weather! Small niggle at breakfast having a poster up saying eggs how you like it just asked and the 3 ladies working there said no they can’t make any eggs how you like it’s just the fried eggs that were out and these were cold. Other than that it’s a perfect location and we slept great and would go back again thank you

I chose Stylotel for its proximity to Winter Wonderland. The hotel was fine for the price, but not somewhere to go if you want a good nights sleep. The curtains were thin and you could hear the noise of the traffic all night in the front rooms. The window in our room did not fully close either which made it more noisy, but they did move us to another room when I raised the matter, albeit also at the front of the hotel so only marginally quieter. The guy on reception when we arrived was very friendly and helpful, until I raised the fact that I was vegan, whereupon he wasn’t able to confirm if they even had any plant milk options in the hotel let alone anything else to cater for vegans at breakfast time. This was despite the fact that I notified them at the point of booking that one of us was vegan and also phoned the hotel the day before we arrived. Fortunately they did have plant milk, but nothing else to take into account vegan diets. This meant that the only cooked food at breakfast that I could eat was hash browns with beans and tinned tomatoes, despite having paid the same as the other guests. They made it clear that they do not accommodate alternative diets. Definitely would not return for this reason.
