Clean room and the staff , parking very expensive

Close to all the visitor attractions. Helpful staff members.Parking limited to about 10 cars and its expensive at £50 per might.

Its a nice hotel in a convenient location but its amenities are poor (fitness room is not usable), the breakfast is average, the rooms dated, and the staff, while professional, were a little too serious/dry. For the money I'd say its a pass next time

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely incredible! The location is truly unbeatable—right in the heart of Lucerne, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The staff was unbelievably sweet and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even helping us coordinate public transportation. The cleanliness was exceptional, and the breakfast far exceeded our expectations with a variety of delicious options. One of the highlights was the stunning rooftop bar—breathtaking views and the perfect place to unwind. A special shoutout to Tommy! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely cared about creating a great experience for us. He went above and beyond in every way. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! 🌟🇨🇭✨

5 min away from the old town; clean and a relatively spacious room, great view from the roof top bar. The shower might be difficult to get in or get out of. Small elevators, but I think that is typical in Swiss hotels. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Starter med det positive. Personalet og rengøringen var helt i top. VI kom søndag formiddag og receptionisten, som fortalte os at hun var ny, var meget imødekommende og serviceminded. Stor ros til hende. Resten af personalet var også meget servicemindet, stor ros til dem alle. Morgenmad var rigtig god. Maden smagte utrolig godt og kunne få bacon og æg, som var helt i top. Har prøvet morgen mad mange gange, grundet rejser med arbejde, så har lidt erfaring her. Værelset var ikke så stort. Vi valge et "normalt" værelse, så tænker dette måske er standard. Sengen var ikke så god, kan dog være at vi er vant til en rigtig god kvalitetsseng hjemmefra. Vinduerne ud til gaden var ikke så gode. Vi kunne høre støj fra gaden og der kom kold luft ind gennem vinduerne. Heldigvis er Lucerne ikke så støjende om aftenen, så vi kunne sove, trods trafikken. Hotellet har Penthouse hvor der bliver festet. Desværre kan det høres tydligt. Vi havde værelse på 2. etage og kunne sidste aften, fredag, ikke sove. Så vi var trætte da vi tjekkede ud og skulle rejse hjem igen.Umuligt at sove på toget, så kunne have været rart med nattesøvn. Nogle aftener var der meget uro på gangene fra andre gæster og dette kunne tydligt høres. Meget skuffet over deres "Gym". Var en af grundende til at hotellet blev valgt. To små rum med lidt maskiner i, så dette blev ikke brugt. Alt i alt en ok oplevelse. Havde nok forventet mere til prisen. Det der trækker op i andmeldelsen er personalets Service og Rengøring.

AC was important for me and theirs worked, great breakfast buffet that had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, potato pancakes. Also had smoked salmon which was delicious and included fruit (pineapple, watermelon, grapes, cut into small pieces.. as well as banana, apple and plum). Had great Italian restaurant (called cucina, had fantastic moscato, veal with rissotto was great as well... i heard prosciutto pizza and lamb chops were a hit as well..... they had a rooftop bar/lounge ALSO!

I would never stay here ever again. There is a rooftop bar on the seventh floor of the property, which is actually a full blown night club. They had me on the 6th floor and i could hear everything going on in the club until 4 am on Friday and Saturday night. I got 0 sleep and it completely ruined what plans I had for Saturday and Sunday morning, because of going out early i had to now catch up on sleep. I spoke to the front desk about it and the response was "I'm sorry, they are allowed to do it". Clearly whoever owns the property does not care, because people have been complaining about this issue for a long time. Avoid this hotel like the plague for weekend trips. The parking garage is also tight and can be difficult to maneuver. And the bathroom has a 3-in-one (hair, face, body) wash. Not sure how this hotel has 4 stars. I've stayed at 3 stars that were far more comfortable and at least i could get a good, quiet night of sleep.

Great rooftop, amazing food & drinks!! Very walkable to old town and the translation. Great value!!

Hotel breakfast food is terrible. No fresh at all. One of orange we are is rotten and hotel manager won,t accept complain and said it is customer responsibility. Food is limited & space is so small. Hotel room isn,t clean and bath towels are dirty. Hotel counter service is rude.

The hotel itself was fine; there were a couple of things in the room that weren’t great (a stained rug surrounding the bed, and a stained bedsheet). The shower was excellent, as was the breakfast and the staff. The location was also great - it allowed us to walk around the city as much as we wanted and was very convenient for the train station / dock as well. For the price I was expecting something a bit nicer, but it was fine.

Maybe my expectations were off, but for the very expensive price I paid, the room was small, the amenities were minimal (all-in-one hand-soap, conditioner, shampoo, body wash??), and the noise level on the weekend from the street was loud. (big football matches probably contributed) We also struggled to get our A/C to cool the room at all. Another pet-peeve of mine is only having power/outlet on one of the nightstands next to the bed. Breakfast was good, but having the exact same options all week was a bit of a let down. However, the staff was great, the location was very convenient, and hey, it's Switzerland.

We recently stayed at the Astoria Lucerne for three nights and found it to be a very busy hotel. While the location is excellent—clean and conveniently close to the station—there were some drawbacks that affected our comfort. Our room faced a bar that was particularly noisy on weekends, making it hard for us to sleep until the early morning. The walls are also quite thin, so we could hear movement from the room above us. On the positive side, the hotel was clean and the breakfast was decent, though nothing exceptional. Overall, the hotel is convenient if you need to be near the station and don’t mind a lively atmosphere, but light sleepers might want to consider other options.

The hotel has two towers: one has fully renovated rooms, with good size bathrooms, coffee machine, tea… Our room was unfortunately in the other tower so very small bathroom, low pressure shower with uneven water temperature, no coffee machine nor tea, we had to get out of the hotel to grab a coffee. Some hotel offers complimentary coffee in the lobby if coffee is not provided in the rooms but not this one. The Private Breakfast room at the hotel is in my opinion expensive: 30 CHF per person for a standard hotel breakfast buffet. The staff at the reception were polite, helpful and knowledgeable.

Room was clean & hotel was in good location, but. Woken up every single morning around 7/8am onwards by chairs just constantly getting dragged around the floors EVERY single morning and would continue into the early afternoon. The room was constanly warm the first thing we did on arrival was turn heating off and open the window and it just didn't make a difference the room was way too hot.

Es war sehr laut in der Nacht wegen des Clubs nebenan. Wir konnten fast nicht schlafen. Frühstücksbuffet war auch nichts spezielles und das Personal leider unfreundlich und sah die Arbeit nicht die gemacht werden sollte. Für den Preis leider nicht wieder.

It's in the center of town everything is within walking distance. Staff very helpful.

The hotel areas is nice however the receptionist and her manager are terrible and inflexible to help and make any corrections for the guests.

The reception was very polite and we enjoyed the rooftop bar. However, housekeeping tried to barge into our room at 8:30 the morning of our checkout. They returned at 11:00. We were still packing and running a little late. They insisted they come in now, and when we asked them to please give us a couple more minutes, they got upset, said a few words, and stormed off. The breakfast is quite poor and I do not recommend wasting 30ch on it, as there are many better cafes nearby.

I double booked a room in this hotel and the front desk staff Emile Lutz and Corina helped me to cancel one of the reservations. They were extremely helpful and always smiling and ready to help in anyway they could. Emile showed me exactly what to do to cancel one of my reservations and was following up with the agent who was questioning my cancellation. He was always ready to help and could not have asked for a better stay. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. Hotel was very close to train station and the bus stop was in front of the hotel.

Front desk staff were the least helpful of anywhere , and that's saying a lot since I have traveled to a lot of remote places in the world.

Hotel staff were fantastic! Nice hotel in a great area. a short walk to the allstadt and great small shops. Breakfast was a great plus.

The reservation was clearly made for 1 room with 1 guest, but we were incorrectly charged for 2 guests. When we brought this issue to the attention of your front desk staff, we were surprised to find that there was no effort to correct the charge or accommodate our concern. Your team was not only unhelpful but also unwilling to show any flexibility or care in resolving the matter. This experience was extremely disappointing. We expect transparency and fairness in pricing, and a basic level of customer service—especially when the mistake is on the hotel’s side. Please also provide an explanation of why this issue was ignored despite being raised during the stay. If this matter is not resolved within 7 business days, I will be compelled to leave a formal public review and report this issue to the booking platform and relevant consumer protection services.

The hotel was centrally located near the train station and Old Town. There were excellent restaurants located in the hotel. The room was very nice and there was in-room coffee which we appreciated! We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend.

The hotel is in a very noisy location. People on the street kept talking all night making it hard to sleep. Hotel is very upscale and clean. But windows don’t open at all which made it claustrophobic for me.

Had a very good stay here. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was real good. The property is located very close to the train station and lots of dining options . We had food at the Thai restaurant located in the property food was very delicious and the chef catered to our vegetation options . Would love to come back to this place .

Night clubs are on the roof. Weird place later at night and loud. People clubbing use the elevators and the elevators are trashed. Restaurants associated with hotel are also bland and very over priced. The little Vietnamese place on the backside of the hotel is better then “Mekong”.
