Direkt am Vierwaldstättersee gelegen, mit genialem Blick auf den See. Freundliches Personal, geräumige und saubere Zimmer. Gut mit ÖVs erreichbar, unmittelbar vor dem Hotel ist eine Bushaltestelle. Am Abend im Spa-Bereich abschalten und entspannen. Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen.

We stayed at the Seehotel Kastanienbaum between 28/12 2024 - 1/1 2025. Upon arrival the greeting was very friendly (and in perfect English). We were given details of the hotel, breakfast times, amenities such as Hot Tub and Sauna Boat for hire etc. We were also given a FREE bus pass for the duration of our stay. The bus service to and from Lucerne was regular and only 20 mins, the bus stop is literally 30 seconds from leaving the reception of the hotel. We used the bus every day. The room was spacious, a big bed, it was very warm and the bathroom had a great super-powerful shower. On the first night we had a cheese fondue in the private huts they have at the back of the hotel. It was great fun eating out zero degrees. We were kept warm by heated seat cushions and plenty of blankets. The only negative was it was foggy and the lake view we booked wasn’t there, obviously not the hotel’s fault. A nice touch was a Happy New Year card in our room on the 31st Dec and some biscuits and Konfi when we checked out.

El hotel tiene la mejor vista del lago y de los alpes, es impresionante… tienes acceso a nadar al lago, todas las instalaciones estan limpias, comodas….. la vista del restaurante tambien es increible, el personal super amable Esta a 15min del centro en autobus, y es facilisimo tomarlo esta justo afuera del hotel, el hotel te regala transporte por los dias d tu estancia

Wow! Just the place to stay if visiting Lucern - transportation to and from city is complimentary. The hotel is on the water and has all the facilities. The hospitality is top notch. What made our stay totally memorable is our interaction with Vanessa at the front desk. Any company would be so fortunate to have an employee like Vanessa. We loved out stay.

War schon öfter hier, komme gern wieder. Sehr schön gelegen, sehr gepflegtes Hotel. Essen im Restaurant bietet diverse Auswahl, geschmacklich leider öfter fad. Frühstück ziemlich üppig. Service Personal stets hilfsbereit und freundlich. Leider hab ich den Eindruck, dass Geldmacherei der Gastfreundschaft vorgezogen wird.
War schon öfter hier, komme gern wieder. Sehr schön gelegen, sehr gepflegtes Hotel. Essen im Restaurant bietet diverse Auswahl, geschmacklich leider öfter fad. Frühstück ziemlich üppig. The hotel wasn’t clean ( too many spiders) I couldn’t stay and had to check out!!. They offered me two other rooms but they were also having the same issue. I contacted the hotel thru Expedia to get my refund but they refused!!! I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS DIRTY HOTEL TO ANYONE!!

Hotellet har en helt unik beliggenhed helt ned til søbredden, og med den mest fantastiske udsigt over sø og bjerge (hvis man vælger værelse med balkon imod søen, naturligvis). Hotellet er pænt og nogenlunde vedligeholdt, men der trænger til at blive investeret i moderne opdateringer. Receptionspersonalet er søde og servicemindede, MEN restaurationschefen er en arrogant nar, der nærmest gør enhver kontakt til en konflikt. Personalet er trynet af han og tør ikke tage selv den mindste beslutning. Hans uacceptable opførsel er grundet til at vi ALDRIG kommer til at overveje at besøge stedet igen.

Unbelievably beautiful location on the outskirts of Luzern, only 10-15 minutes away by (free) bus or car. The building is a bit dated but renovated appropriately. Very professional staff. Bus and ferry boat(!) stop right there. Wished we had brought our (gravel) bikes. We only had (good) breakfast once there but delicious (game) dinners at normal prices in very classy interiors within 10 minutes from there at hotel/restaurant Waldegg and restaurant Eichhof.

Bei heißem Sommerwetter sind die Zimmer iunter dem Dach sehr warm und da ohne Klimaanlage - nicht unbedingt empfehlenswert. Es gibt zwar einen Ventilator - aber der bringt nicht viel. - Das Frühstück könnte für diese Hotel Kategorie reichhaltiger sein. Ansonsten war unser Aufenthalt sehr angenehm.

This is a beautiful property! We were in Switzerland for 10 days and although we were only at this location one night it was hands down the nicest room of the stay. The lake view room was so beautiful. Great location and very convenient for travellers as the bus station is right outside the building.

Excellent and friendly staff made us welcome and offered a change to a lakeside view. The lighting in the bedroom was dim except at the desk - we would liked to have had more conventional lighting. The double bed was comfortable but we also struggled to accommodate two large duvets on the bed, ending up laying on one end to anchor it.

The hotel was beautiful and in a picture perfect spot on Lake Lucerne. The service was perfection. Vanessa welcomed us and helped us learn more about the city so we could orient ourselves. We are so appreciative of their attention to detail to make your stay not just comfortable, but memorable.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely stunning, and the view is beautiful. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with a big smile and felt truly comfortable. The staff were kind, caring, and always happy to help. Getting to the city center was super easy, and with a pass from the hotel, we could use public transportation for free. We were very happy with our stay — thank you so much for everything!

Hotel was gorgeous and right on a lake with mountains all around. Food was spectacular and eating next to the picturesque view made it even better. With all that being said, the front desk kind of stole the show. They were all super friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist anyway possible.

We stayed at the Seehotel Kastanienbaum between 28/12 2024 - 1/1 2025. Upon arrival the greeting was very friendly (and in perfect English). We were given details of the hotel, breakfast times, amenities such as Hot Tub and Sauna Boat for hire etc. We were also given a FREE bus pass for the duration of our stay. The bus service to and from Lucerne was regular and only 20 mins, the bus stop is literally 30 seconds from leaving the reception of the hotel. We used the bus every day. The room was spacious, a big bed, it was very warm and the bathroom had a great super-powerful shower. On the first night we had a cheese fondue in the private huts they have at the back of the hotel. It was great fun eating out zero degrees. We were kept warm by heated seat cushions and plenty of blankets. The only negative was it was foggy and the lake view we booked wasn’t there, obviously not the hotel’s fault. A nice touch was a Happy New Year card in our room on the 31st Dec and some biscuits and Konfi when we checked out.

Wow! Just the place to stay if visiting Lucern - transportation to and from city is complimentary. The hotel is on the water and has all the facilities. The hospitality is top notch. What made our stay totally memorable is our interaction with Vanessa at the front desk. Any company would be so fortunate to have an employee like Vanessa. We loved out stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely stunning, and the view is beautiful. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with a big smile and felt truly comfortable. The staff were kind, caring, and always happy to help. Getting to the city center was super easy, and with a pass from the hotel, we could use public transportation for free. We were very happy with our stay — thank you so much for everything!

This is a beautiful property! We were in Switzerland for 10 days and although we were only at this location one night it was hands down the nicest room of the stay. The lake view room was so beautiful. Great location and very convenient for travellers as the bus station is right outside the building.

El hotel tiene la mejor vista del lago y de los alpes, es impresionante… tienes acceso a nadar al lago, todas las instalaciones estan limpias, comodas….. la vista del restaurante tambien es increible, el personal super amable Esta a 15min del centro en autobus, y es facilisimo tomarlo esta justo afuera del hotel, el hotel te regala transporte por los dias d tu estancia

Unbelievably beautiful location on the outskirts of Luzern, only 10-15 minutes away by (free) bus or car. The building is a bit dated but renovated appropriately. Very professional staff. Bus and ferry boat(!) stop right there. Wished we had brought our (gravel) bikes. We only had (good) breakfast once there but delicious (game) dinners at normal prices in very classy interiors within 10 minutes from there at hotel/restaurant Waldegg and restaurant Eichhof.

War schon öfter hier, komme gern wieder. Sehr schön gelegen, sehr gepflegtes Hotel. Essen im Restaurant bietet diverse Auswahl, geschmacklich leider öfter fad. Frühstück ziemlich üppig. Service Personal stets hilfsbereit und freundlich. Leider hab ich den Eindruck, dass Geldmacherei der Gastfreundschaft vorgezogen wird.

Bei heißem Sommerwetter sind die Zimmer iunter dem Dach sehr warm und da ohne Klimaanlage - nicht unbedingt empfehlenswert. Es gibt zwar einen Ventilator - aber der bringt nicht viel. - Das Frühstück könnte für diese Hotel Kategorie reichhaltiger sein. Ansonsten war unser Aufenthalt sehr angenehm.
