Die Lage passt und ist gut mit der ÖV erreichbar - Preis/Leistung stimmt nicht. Zu teuer für ein doch schon sehr in die Jahre gekommene Unterkunft wo von 23 bis 07:30 Uhr kein Personal anzutreffen ist - heisses Wasser für Teekrug ist bei einer frühzeitigen Abreise nicht zu bekommen, da auch kein Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer.

Die Lage passt und ist gut mit der ÖV erreichbar - Preis/Leistung stimmt nicht. We love this hotel. The staff are very friendly. The hotel has old finishes but very well maintained, and CLEAN! It is just next to the train station and the downtown shopping area is jut steps away. They also provided us transportation tickets for free so we could just jump onto bus or train anywhere. Love the hotel and Lugano!

Purtroppo non mi è piaciuto niente posso dire solo deludente troppo vecchia la struttura e i servizi minimi di sopravvivenza tipo sapone shampoo ecc quasi inesistenti ventilatore obsoleto vecchi tutto troppo scarso per essere a Lugano due stelle si ma così zero stelle totalmente mi dispiace ma è semplicemente la verita

The room was very small. When we arrived there was no one at the reception and we had to wait several minutes. The car park was a narrow street with almost no place to leave it. It is not a car park. Everything was clean. The bathroom is ridiculous, it does not have a shower, it is a bathtub without a curtain and with a shower that you have to hold in your hand. Impossible to take a proper shower. They promised to give us the tickets for transportation and we never received them.

Das Hotel hat genau meinen Erwartungen entsprochen. Die Lage ist zentral und nahe am Bahnhof, das Zimmer war sauber und zweckmäßig. Besonders das freundliche, hilfsbereite Personal hat meinen Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Quaint old fashioned room. Nice balcony. Courteous check-in. Only issue was current construction around train station - do not trust Google walking route as it takes much longer to detour. Go behind train station and up to hotel the back way. The route TO the train station is the route to use TO hotel as well.

Very basic hotel. Paid for a double room and was given a basic room. Couldn’t move in it for two people. Complained to front desk and they moved us to the double that we paid for. Make sure you request a balcony if you book or you will not be given one. Very tiny balcony but nice view overlooking the city. Free tickets for the funicular to the main part of town. Was only provided with a single sheet which only covered half the bed. Disappointing and uncomfortable bed and room.

Very close to the Train station. I picked this place so that I can walk to the train station with all my luggages early in the morning. You cannot get any closer than this ! Facilities are good, clean room. The only inconvenience was the bathroom had an old fashioned ( but very good condition) bath tub- so you need to take a shower with extra care to make sure that you do not to spread water all over.

The only thing I remember is the receptionist not letting me stay after my check out in the lobby, because my train was leaving 3 hours later, so I had to go to a different place. I found that strage. I guess overall the stay was ok. not bad nothing special.

It was literally less than 5 mins away from the train station . The bus around Lugano and the funicular to the old town was free . The property was a perfect location . It’s clean and well kept . But small rooms and beds . Which is not a big issue for us . The service is superb . The receptionist came and picked us up at the train station personally .

O café da manhã foi muito fraco, faltando até pão no dia 12 de janeiro. As frutas não estavam frescas. No dia seguinte à minha chegada, fui fazer uma solicitação a um funcionário da recepção, que só chegou após às 10 horas, e ele foi muito grosseiro comigo, a ponto de eu lhe pedir calma. Muito triste!!

A very basic room which did the job for one night. Quite aged and could do with a refresh. They also asked for a deposit for an adapter which I thought was not very good. The location is close to the main station and walkable into town (down a steep hill).

Das Hotel hat genau meinen Erwartungen entsprochen. Die Lage ist zentral und nahe am Bahnhof, das Zimmer war sauber und zweckmäßig. Besonders das freundliche, hilfsbereite Personal hat meinen Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht. Ich komme gerne wieder!

I had a nice stay. The staff were very friendly and set me up with a free local transport card. The breakfast is very good and fair priced. Location is excellent if you want access to the main station. No complaints at this price point.

Hotel a 10 minutos a pie desde la estación de buses, a 8 minutos a pie de la estación de trenes y del fonicular que te baja al downtown. Personal amable, habitación limpia, pero sencilla. Solo cama, baño y TV pequeño. No café, no plancha, no blower. Tiene aire acondicionado, ascensor, agua caliente en el baño. Solo estuve 1 noche y ofrecio justo lo que necesitaba. Parada de autobuses al frente del hotel. Área y pueblo seguro, buses puntuales y habitantes cordiales.

It was a 3 minute walk from the train station, but was a very quiet and nice location. The free funicular from the train station dropped us right into the center of town in 3 minutes where shopping, dining and the lake were very accessible.

Convenient 5-10 mins walk from Lugano train station the hotel is located next to busy street. Either the infrastructure is too old for the prices or the prices are too high for the 60 yrs old furniture and amenities.

Very close to the Train station. I picked this place so that I can walk to the train station with all my luggages early in the morning. You cannot get any closer than this ! Facilities are good, clean room. The only inconvenience was the bathroom had an old fashioned ( but very good condition) bath tub- so you need to take a shower with extra care to make sure that you do not to spread water all over.

My stay at Hotel Besso was a wonderful experience. The employees were gracious, thoughtful, and hard workers. Shout out to Cristian simultaneously working the front desk, making sure breakfast was in order every morning, and answering any question that guests had (in 4 different languages) The hotel is quiet, clean, and in a convenient location in front of a bus stop and 5 minute walking distance from train station. There is also a good pizza restaurant around the corner. A full breakfast (muesli, cereal, cured meats, croissant, fruit) costs 10 CHF per person and is filling, delicious, and a valuable meal option considering the high cost of living Switzerland is known for. I highly recommend this hotel and would only stay here if I ever return to Lugano.

It was good, but I can't give more than 3 stars because it was not quiet at all during the night. Some people were screaming in the corridor. Also, we came at 9 AM to eat the breakfast, but there was no food anymore. Finally, the shower head was very bad.

O café da manhã foi muito fraco, faltando até pão no dia 12 de janeiro. As frutas não estavam frescas. The room and the bathroom were clean and tidy with a small tv. We didn’t have air conditioning in our room although I noticed some of the other rooms did seem to be equipped with air conditioning. The rooms are quite basic, although ours had a balcony which was very welcome. The staff are helpful, the location is safe and very close to the train and funicular stations.

Room on top floor (4floor) is really noisy – since here was very hot 30deg the manager told us this a room with ac AND HAPPY TO GIVE TO US WITHOUT EXTRA PAYMENT? Room itself has NO FRILLS at all – Balcony only useful for smoking pax (strange should be total smoke free hotel). NO SAFE -- NO Coffee or the – NO kettle or NO bathroom fac like cream shower gel (if ask you get a small …for one use (photo) Waw we are Back in 70’ with a heavy key to leave at reception when leave the hotel Ps We did not have breakfast – assume 24 CHF per day (2pax) was NOT worth it.

O hotel é bem simples e antigo. Não é bonito, mas atende ao que se propõe com louvor. Estava bem limpo, o quarto era espaçoso e o upgrade para quarto com ar condicionado foi perfeito no calor de 30 graus. Cama boa. Chuveiro ótimo. Muito perto da estação de trem, onde fica o funciular de acesso a área do lago. Tem até mesmo um ponto de ônibus em frente. Perfeito para quem não precisa de luxo e usa transporte público. Café da manhã simples,mad com pães variados, frios ,frutas, cereais ovos emuito gostoso. Ficaria novamente

Very friendly helpful staff. Well-located just a few minutes from the station. Pass for free public transport provided which we could use on the short funicular that goes from the station into the city centre (our children enjoyed this!). Lovely breakfast.
