Really lovely hotel easy access to the motorway for those coming out of city. Only gripe would be the parking as its free on site so can get busy pretty quickly and can be hard to find a spot. No complaints otherwise. Will stay again.

This is a lovely hotel, very convenient for greater Manchester as just off M60. A warm welcome from all staff, fantastic breakfast, decent gym and a pub next door. Very reasonably priced. Only downsides is the beds are rock hard!

Room was roomy with a sofa bed as well as a queen size bed. Nice shower room with basin and a separate toilet. Breakfast was excellent with good quality sausages, bacon and really nicely cooked scrambled eggs. The bar is not huge with a limited selection of beers but lots of comfortable seating in the adjacent lounge area. Our stay was quite pricey but the location and facilities probably justify the cost.

A great little hotel for a couple of nights stay. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious and the reception/bar area was attractive and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a good choice of both hot and cold items and great coffee. There is a lovely pub (the John Gilbert) next door which is well worth a visit too. I would definitely stay again.

Very efficient from arrival to checkout, very friendly and helpful staff. EV charger was out of order when we arrived but staff soon rebooted it and had it working. John Gilbert pub across the car park was good for dinner, breakfast in the hotel was fine too. Ideal location for RHS Bridgewater but also worth walking down to explore the canal.

I’m sorry to say but we had a really bad experience with yourselves , the room was untidy and hairs on the bed also there was one toilet roll that looks like it had been thrown on the floor and left behind the toilet . Also in the evening when returned to the hotel there was some abusive and intrusive men at the bar that was really intoxicated and offending with no staff around to calm them and fix the situation , all in all this was a terrible experience sorry .

We literally checked in and slept bed was comfy had a good nights sleep, awoke refreshed and ready for our day in Manchester. Room was clean stocked with tea for a relaxing cuppa, bathroom was clean. Breakfast was as good as always in a Novotel, the hotel has had a makeover since the last time we visited.

Clean and tidy hotel. OK for one night. Room is spacious but did not have shower gel or hand washing- all completely empty!!! Breakfast not worth the money as mainly is English breakfast...no jams or alternatives to butter, no pancakes and only sliced cheap bread. Only one coffee machine that was breaking down every minute and coffee was terrible!!! Not again as expensive!

Property is in a good spot, rooms were clean and tidy if a bit dated. The worst thing was that even though we were on the top floor and at the end of the corridor there was a lot of noise, we were both woken several times by air conditioning, toilets flushing etc, NOT from people but from equipment.

Hotel communal areas were lovely but rooms, especially bathroom lets it down - definitely in need of refurbishment. Considering what I paid I was slightly disappointed. Saying that, the staff were great and the food we ate there was nice. Breakfast - a bit slow to top up dishes on the buffet. The hotel is in a great location for visiting RHS Bridgewater which was the main reason for our stay.

I’ve been a guest at Novotel West, twice in the past two months, both times for extended stays. The staff are marvelous. Courteous, helpful, and very friendly. They always provide good service with a smile. My room, a Queen plus sofa bed, was comfortable and quiet. The hotel is well situated, just off the motorways (M60), and has a pretty decent pub, virtually at the end of the parking lot. When visiting family and friends, in the UK, I would never stay anywhere else.

The hotel front staff and bar staff very friendly. Unfortunately the gentleman who I think was a manager and was in the restaurant was rude and it was very evident that this was a business party and didn’t care. The housekeepers were very helpful and professional as was the lady on reception and the 2 ladies on the bar

Absolute amazing experience. We held our civil wedding there and we could not be more happier. The support from the staff from the reception desk to the wedding co-ordinators Pauline and Janki to the Bar and Restaurant staff was nothing short of incredible. 5 Star Experience in my opinion. We had the Banqueting Menu for our Rehearsal Dinner and every single spoonful of each dish from the starters to the finish course was delectable, delightful and tasty. Our guests were thoroughly and completely satisfied. We stayed there for 1 night and the rooms were clean and none of our guests reported any issues. Thank you again to all the team at Novotel Manchester West who made our whole entire stay magnificent

There was a leak in the toilet, so the rooms were not checked properly before assigning to the customers. When i reported the leak to reception, the manager straight of the bat tried to pin the problem on me by saying “it was not leaking before we gave you the room”. Making it seem as though we caused the leak. Even after coming to see the leak he said theres nothing they can do and asked me to email someone about it the day after i check out. We stayed in that same room that night. Considering i was staying with a 6 year old child, this was absolutely horrendous from the novotel staff.

We stayed at the Novotel for one night, the room was really spacious and I particularly liked that the children had a good size double bed rather than one of those small single beds. The hotel was very clean, it had everything we needed in the room and the breakfast was lovely and plentiful. It’s literally only 8mins from the Trafford centre, which was £10 in a taxi. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

This is a lovely hotel, very convenient for greater Manchester as just off M60. A warm welcome from all staff, fantastic breakfast, decent gym and a pub next door. Very reasonably priced. Only downsides is the beds are rock hard!

Just one night to see Springsteen in Manchester. The Novohotel was perfect for a cheaper slightly out of city centre location with excellent road links. Havn’t stayed in a Novotel for ages and was not disappointed- excellent even though only for one night.

Very efficient from arrival to checkout, very friendly and helpful staff. EV charger was out of order when we arrived but staff soon rebooted it and had it working. John Gilbert pub across the car park was good for dinner, breakfast in the hotel was fine too. Ideal location for RHS Bridgewater but also worth walking down to explore the canal.

Great welcome by the reception staff who were on hand immediately to welcome me on arrival. Room clean and of a good size. Unusual in that the loo was separate from the bathroom, both of which were in a "hallway" within the room, with an extra door that closed it off to the bedroom A comfortable night, then a disappointing breakfast where the hot buffet items had clearly been there for a while as had dried out under the heat lamps. Fresh eggs were brought out on request, but the speed in which they were delivered and the fact that the yolks were already hard suggested that they too had been kept warm for a while.

We literally checked in and slept bed was comfy had a good nights sleep, awoke refreshed and ready for our day in Manchester. Room was clean stocked with tea for a relaxing cuppa, bathroom was clean. Breakfast was as good as always in a Novotel, the hotel has had a makeover since the last time we visited.

The location is good. The rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. However ,we fined in the restaurant on our first night. It was poor, overpriced and not very tasty. The slimmest piece of overcooked salmon on bland rice. My linguine was swimming in oil. Tasteless. I had to ask for some pesto sauce. We had to send the wine back to the bar as it tasted sour .The decor was dark and dreary with no atmosphere. . We fined at the pub next to the hotel for our other 2 nights. Would only stay for B&B in future.

Great location for travelling around as straight off the motorway and close to the Trafford Centre. Comfy beds and cushions. Friendly staff. Would have scored higher, however breakfast tables were not being cleared of plates as they were finished....staff were too busy talking to each other!

Great value for money. The room was spacious and relatively clean. The bed was very comfortable and the tv was big enough to watch from the bed. Had 2 great nights of sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking but don’t forget to enter your car details at the iPad in reception. I didn’t have breakfast as was spending time with family but it smelled amazing as I walked through the hotel. There was a good range of tea/coffee but only 2 of each which isn’t enough for a 2 night stay. The receptionist was very helpful and gave me more when I asked. Also no information in the room about WiFi so had to ask at reception. Overall a great stay and will be back

I had booked a twin room several months ago. On arrival we were given the keys to a double room. When we returned to reception the receptionist was adamant that the hotel was full and that I had actually booked a double room. I insisted that I had not - and eventually a twin room was found for us. When I checked my booking it clearly stated the twin room - so I was upset that the person was trying to infer that the error was mine. The room we were allocated was perfectly fine but I would recommend having a copy of your reservation when checking in.
