Only one lift was working. The location of the stairs was not very well displayed. It was noisy, and the air conditioning was noisy too. The kettle however was very nice and silent. The shower was leaking from the back but only when turned on.

Only two lifts and one was offline the entire time. This is our 2nd stay and both times a lift was out. No stair options, so it took 10-15min to get between floors. Very noisy, doors slamming all night. Small rooms and very limited amenities.

I don’t think they’ve vacuumed the room properly. I can understand the house keeping only come on the third day to change the towels, but at least have a clean room when there’s a check-in. The dust accumulated in the vent makes the place dated and dirty. The only positive is the location of the hotel, appreciate the closeness to everything.

Not the best stay in Melbourne. Excellent location and spacious room however housekeeping had overlooked cleaning our room before our stay and we had the last guests left overs in the Fridge and used face washers. Apart from that beds were comfortable and shower good.

This is our usual go-to choice when staying in Melbourne (2x Adults with 1x Child). But their recent change of only servicing your room every three days means that a weekend away will not allow you to experience a 'new room' feeling when arriving back from your daily travels. This is making me feel like we stayed in a Motel rather than a CBD Hotel.

The hotel was a great location for what we needed. We found the aircon very noisy at night and couldn’t change the fan speed. Bathroom small but very clean. The bed was showing it’s age comfort wise but pillows were great. Lighting inadequate and in room furniture also showing age from a comfort perspective. We had a standard king room.

Very convenient location with shopping malls and restaurants right next to it. However, it can be a bit of a nuisance if you prefer peace and quietness. The interior is quite tired, a bit uplift can do its good. Room are quite small. Staff are nice and friendly.

This hotel should be rated as a 2 or possibly 3 star hotel. I knew this was a budget friendly hotel, but when rated as a 4 star, I booked it. After flying for over 20 hours, this is not the hotel you want to come to and relax/rewind. Our room literally looked like a jail cell. Extremely small and the window opened to a brick wall. We ended up just resting for about 2 hours in the room..and booked a different hotel (The Windsor). This is a good hotel for those on an extreme budget.

Have stayed at this hotel a number of times - it's clean, convenient and in a great location. Only negative thing I can think of is the shower - it's hard to get the right temperature and it will fluctuate between cold and scalding hot mid shower (I've never experienced this before, only on my recent stay, but this is also my first stay on a high floor -floor10).

When I tried to check in just before 2pm, the counter said I have to pay $20 to check in before 2pm. I was only 15 minutes before check in. I later check-in in after 4.30pm after late lunch. I paid the hotel early and is this the service that I get to pay for checking in slightly early. I have stay at this place frequently and also recommended my friends at this hotel. Ver disgraceful behaviour on this holiday season.

There is a lot of internal noise from other guests - you can hear people talking though the walls and especially when walking down the halls -- so - next time I'll take ear plugs- but overall - very happy with this place -- so convenient and one of the few reasonably priced hotels around. Very very clean and very popular - so book well ahead.

Staff were very friendly however we waited in line for 50 minutes to check in with just 2 staff on the desk. The next day the check in line was out the door. For the price of the room it is very very basic and out dated. The walls you could hear absolutely everything from peoples conversations. Location was good but would not stay here again.

Booked through Wotif and paid and when we arrived at the hotel we used the self check in kiosk. We were under the impression the kiosk asked for our credit card details as authorisation it was us who booked the accomodation. Upon checking our credit card the next day we had been charged again for the one night stay. When queried at reception we were assured this would be refunded, instead an additional amount was taken for the night. Upon returning home and several transfer later on the phone I was assured both charges would be refunded. We ended up putting in disputes to our bank for the refunds.

Pros: Location - in the heart of the CBD Courteous staff Clean with modern fittings Good price for the location Cons: Location - beggars and drunk people hanging out in the area. We were harassed in the hotel lobby by a drunk man. Staff did sort him out. Rooms - are essentially fitted out concrete boxes. They feel very sterile and unwelcoming, almost like a cell. The use of fluro lighting does not help. For the price and location, it is fine if you are just looking for a place to sleep. I personally would not want to stay here more than a night if I was planning on spending any length of time hanging out in the room.

Good central location close to public transport, friendly, helpfully staff. Only complaint would be the coffee machine at breakfast which uses powdered milk which means lacklustre coffee from a city that is well know for this beverage, second day paid for barista coffee at breakfast.

Eggs were half cold and tasteless. Parking was advertised as onsite but you had 2 walk two blocks to get to it. Room was very small and advertised as a family room. Shower was made for kids.

The hotels location is great and well renovated however the staff wasn’t helpful at all , it was my B-day on the 13th, at 8 pm I did asked if there is a lighter cus I have my cake but he said no lighter at all. I don’t smoke at all & I’m with my 10 yr old daughter. It’s like he doesn’t even want to find it for me. Then I asked for a slicer he said he will sent it up but no call no one did bring it upstairs, So yeah I wasn’t happy at all with the service as no acknowledgment it’s ur Birthday and can’t find a lighter at the kitchen maybe.
