Early Australian Motor Inn

Our room turned out to have a spa bath (which we did not request) - that was a bonus I thought until I looked around for a plug - none to be found, not even for the basin. When I requested a plug for the basin I was told to hang on while the receptionist phoned someone - I was then handed the phone and told to speak to that person. I was told that I had not paid for a spa room, I told him that wasn’t my request I wanted a plug for the basin. I eventually begrudgingly was handed a plug out of a drawer full of them. It made me feel like I was trying to cheat them somehow. I did not use the spa at all - only to climb into to take a shower (the shower head was above the spa). We had a stay of 4 nights there and I was a bit disappointed that our rubbish was not emptied once. We also did not have a face washer ( after the plug episode I wasn’t game enough to ask so i bought one. On a positive note the bed was amazingly comfortable.

The roof is starting to fall in Previous occupants left ice cream in freezer and pair of socks under bed showing cleaner slack. And a Malteser in the corner. Stepped on a three corner jack in bare feet inside on carpet. Not mine. Can’t fill the jug kettle in the sink. Minimal coffee and sugar supplied Have to park along way from the room. Stairs are narrow and steep. TV plasma not smart. Terrible reception. No alarm clock. No usb ports to charge phone etc. windows and door no screen for fresh air and keep out insects. But we made the most of it but won’t be going back.

Comfortable accommodation, but unfortunately on a main road with traffic noise.

Chemical smell in room was awful and gave us irritated eyes and throat. Could not have doors open as smokers table was located just outside Shower head would not stay up and there were no bowls, plates or cutlery and no toaster which would have been useful. Coffee/tea and cups were supplied and reception gentleman was polite and accommodating but we would not stay again and thought about leaving during the night. Not their fault but the noise the trucks made constantly going past was terrible
