Great location very basic no frills You must check in around corner and return keys as well

We did not know in advance that the hotel Tannenbaum did not have a reception desk. We had to go around the corner to the Hotel duTrain to check in. It was a bit weird. The staff were accommodating however it was unclear why the Hotel der Tannenbaum had very little signage (a small paper with the name on the door). I was a bit uncomfortable with the arrangement.

The reviews online made it look good so we stayed here. 1. Check- in: troublesome Carried our luggages and came to the address provided only to be shocked with sign that says 'pick up your key from a few blocks away in a Different hotel!'. Yo what??? What bothers me most is, I had passed that damn street on the way to get here, so if only they had the decency to email this info before OR better yet, say it in the property description, it would have saved so much time, effort and disappointment. 2. Somewhat close to popular areas like the Marienplatz, but it will still take solid 15 minute walk per side. 3. after you finally get your keys from a different place, you walk back to the actual tannenbaum hotel, which is more like an apartment building. There is no elevator from the get go, so you have to carry your heavy luggages to the elevator! 4. Bare bones: it really has not much, no ac, no microwave, no fridge, no ini bar, no iron etc. 5. No wifi! It says it has free wifi, but 2 days I stayed, it rained and according to management, that messed stuff up and wifi doesn't work! I had important work, so I had to beg the 'other hotel', remember the place where you picked up your room keys.. that.. i stayed there to work, but they said they needed me gone from the lobby by 11.30 pm, and I couldn't even get my work done. If only they promised wifi and had wifi, I won't be in this situation to begin with! Oh yes, Hotel Tannenbaum has no reception, no nothing.

Clean room, easy check in and out, the cleaning staff did a great job. No amenities really but it’s fair for the price you pay.

A great budget friendly option close to public transit and the heart of Munich, with many of the major attractions within easy walking distance. The hotel isn’t fancy but is impeccably clean and modern. The only thing missing is a microwave/mini fridge, but the room is large and comfortable otherwise. Check in is at a hotel just around the corner and the staff there is very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.

We had no problems with the room or anything at all, the only thing to know is that check in is around the block from the entrance, but it is only a 2 or 3 minute walk, so be sure to check the check in instructions before you get to the door. Our bathroom had a bathtub and a shower head, and the bathtub was nice, but the shower head was pretty difficult to control. Overall a great stay, and any of the minor issues did not impact our experience in Munich!

Perfect location at a great price! No frills accommodations but perfect for my stay. Check in was easy since I paid attention to the notes in advance. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean, but one of the beds made a squeaking noise with every movement, and there was a lingering musty smell. On the positive side, the location was excellent, and the front desk staff were very friendly

Convenient to both the train station as well as the Marienplatz and Hofbrauhaus. Very clean, quiet, and comfy.

This is a good, basic hotel. It’s clean, with a comfortable bed but no extras. It’s well situated within easy walking distance of many tourist attractions.

This is a lovely place to stay if you plan to be out and about. There are no amenities in the hotel but it’s clean and in a great location. I highly recommend!!

Location excellent for Christmas markets and shops. Lady at check in very helpful and polite. Check in is at another hotel 50m away so no problem. Room warm, clean and comfortable so met our needs. Cafe nearby for breakfast.

The location was great. The family room comfortably accommodated our family of four. It was very convenient to have a grocery store and cafes nearby.

Weird experience, it felt like a fake hotel. There was no front desk and we had to check in at a different hotel around the corner. I was not made aware of any of this until after I had made the booking. We did have a large bathtub which was nice, but the bed was super uncomfortable. Would not recommend staying here.

Had to go to a different hotel entrance to check in, it was confusing. The hotel elevator was small bearly to fit two people without any luggage. The room had two single beds put together which was very uncomfortable to sleep in. Bathroom was small and old. There was no heat till the morning hours

Check n ser realizado em outro endereço é ruim demais. As indicações do hotel sobre isso de estacionar não foram boas e nem praticas, atendente impaciente. Camas ruins, desconfortáveis. Localização é boa.

The hotel staff Roxana was very pleasant and helpful. Very nice area with many restaurants and shops. Great location! The metro is very close, within walking distance.

We stayed here for 3 night and loved it here. Short walking distance from the train station. The lady who checked us in was very hospitable and informative. The location was central to all the shopping and points of interest. Would stay here again. Highly recommend

Place was great, less than 10 minute walk from MArienplatz. Not too far and not too small. Just one block away from the hustle and bustle. Great location...

As city center hotels may be, the neighborhood is noisy, people talking in the streets at night coming home from bars, and construction everywhere, sirens, starting at 7:00. Get a “white noise” machine before you leave. Problem solved. Tannenbaum Hotel is in a great location.
