ITC Maurya, a Luxury Collection Hotel, New Delhi

Room condition was good.

Executive room was worn and small. I upgraded to a larger room and got caught up in the Expedia to hotel negotiation. Am hour later the hotel did the upgrade themselves with me paying an upcharge. The second day, we returned to our room, opened the door and found three staff members in our room! We had the dnd light on and had requested no service. BE WARNED it is the policy of ITC hotels will come into your room without letting you know ifyour DND light is on for two service cycles (one day), i confirmed this policy with the general mgr of the hotel. He apologized for thr people being in our room with the door shut but not for them coming into the room. I let him know that i have never been in a hotel with this policy and i likely will not stay in an ItC hotel again. Also the breakfast service was slow with many service people but not good organization. Overall, not bad if you get a deal but dont expect too much andmake sure you tell them not to enter your room wihout your permision. Spend a few bucks more and stay at the Taj or the best classic hotel, the Imperial.

The Beauty parlour is great! Stayed at this hotel for many years.

Just a top 5 star hotel, not much else to say.
