The Glengate Hotel & Suites

I requested for an upper floor room and this time I got a room on the 3rd floor. It was a very comfortable and nice room, with a good-sized fridge, a kettle with tea and coffee packets. I had a nice big sofa where I can stretch out my legs =) My only complaint is the TV didn’t have many good channels. Almost didn’t work too, you have to play around with the settings to get it to work. They should update their TVs to actual smart TVs with streaming apps with more movies/TV shows. Parking can be a nightmare, if the hotel’s busy good luck finding a parking spot if you happen to come back late. Other than that this is always a quiet and peaceful hotel, I’d stay here again

Parking, while free, is a nightmare!

I was amazed at the value for what I paid per night. Very clean and the staff was very friendly. The only things I would suggest are better hot breakfast offerings and maybe wider parking spaces as they were very tight and I was nervous of a ding on my rental vehicle. Otherwise definitely a great value.

Older hotel, but maintained clean. Staff were helpful and very polite, especially at the breakfast room. Very clean breakfast room with plenty of fast options for breakfast ( waffle press/toast/cereal/boiled eggs/coffee/juice). 20ish minutes walk to Clifton, easy enough even for my 10 year old. A bit of challenge to park a truck, with some tight parking spaces, cars would be no problem.

There was less parking spots as it was shared with another organization, we have to wait till after 11.00 pm to get the parking spot

Limited Breakfast, parking difficult and only one entrance.

Offered what we needed: a place to sleep and a breakfast in the morning. The rooms were clean, but dated. Parking was difficulty as the lot was full and had very small spaces.

OK - If you've ever read any of my reviews, you know I'm honest and fair in my reviews, so here goes. This hotel was located in a fairly decent area - right in the middle between McDonalds and a weed shop. No homeless problems but kind of meh for the area rating. My room was clean, nothing was broken in the room and the A/C worked fine. The staff was excellent and that helped the rating. The breakfast was Continental - translates to "Poor". Well, that's not totally fair but it is accurate. Cold cereal, bread, bagels, waffles and coffee. Nothing bad but nothing to be excited about either. The location for getting to the Falls or to Tourist Hell is good. 3-5 minute drive will get you to either location. I'll let you learn about Tourist Hell on your own - if you've ever been to the West side of Kissimmee by Disney on 192 you'll know what I'm talking about - but this is about the hotel. Like I said, my room was clean and comfortable but we did have a few issues. 1. The parking is TERRIBLE! The hotel shares a lot with a mosque next door and there is prayer time about 4 times a day. You will NOT get a parking spot. Best thing is to drive around for 15-20 minutes then come back. 2. Hot water. Get up early if you want a hot shower. Might have been totally booked to cause this but take my advice and shower at night or very early. That's it. Not a bad hotel by any means just a little worn, parking not so great and neighborhood a bit meh. We would stay again.

Hotel staff is very friendly and actually didn't charge us extra for checking out more than an hour late. They did notify of extra charge like $35 for every hour of being late. Overall, hotel is pleasant place to stay. They have electric vehicle charging spot in place. However, the charging is not free and you've to download an app "kiwEV" to pay and charge your vehicle.

The hotel was fine and served its purpose. It’s definitely no frills and parking is terrible, but it was clean enough for a trip where we didn’t plan to spend much time in the hotel.

We had 9 rooms booked for a hockey team so price was right. Staff were great hotel looked as though it will fill our needs for the night. But then we woke up in the morning to most of the players having had bed bugs feast on them during the night while sleeping.

Very dirty place, the bedding was awful . Cleaning staff don't change the dirty, bloody blanket. Nobody supervising them.

I had two rooms, and all the rooms were so dirty and so smelly...so so so dirty, all the floor, lobby, and everything, breakfast was so limited, just some cookies, and there were no hot meal options... I don't recommend this hotel, even if it was free!!!

Smelly and moldy property. Dirty everywhere. Blood stains, sheets and towels had stains.

Bedding were dirty. I found two big stains of blood on the quilt. Looked like they hadn't changed it after last guests. And when I went to reception to complain about it, the lady had the nerve to back to my room to hand me the quilt cover !!!! First it's their job to clean the beddings and make the bed before someone checks in. Second, the lady didn't even have the common sense that she should change all the beddings after the disgusting stains I found on the quilt. In short, the property is managed by Indians. So don't expect too much when it comes to cleanliness.

I woke up and found a bed bug on me! The lobby and elevator reeked of air freshener (air fresheners hanging inside elevator were visible), not good as I documented I have asthma.

Yes you do absolutely have bed bugs! How dare you respond to my concerns saying you have had no other complaints as I’m now reading reviews on here and on google saying the same thing. I have always had a great stay, what purpose would my complaint be other then to inform you of the issue? I even stated I was not looking for a refund or any sort of compensation. Listen to your customers, shame on you. Due to the lack of due diligence, there is a chance I may have brought them home. Will not be returning and I was a frequent customer.

Everything was closse , the balcony was filled with cigarette butts, i had a view of the parking lot. Sticky bathroom floors in 2 out of 3 rooms and dirty bed linens!! Leaking AC unit and That stain was disgusting i had to take the sheet of when i got back from the wedding at 2am because it was right in my face !!

Clean room and lobby - nothing broken in the room.

Room was very large and in good condition. No complaints.

There were no drawers to put your clothes in. The shower curtain rod was hanging from coat hangers. The mattress was worn out. The decor was outdated. The room was big and the hot tub worked well.

Older hotel in need of some upgrades. Carpet in the room was pretty old and the area rug was curled up in one corner and was a tripping hazard. The TV was old and slow. The staff was great and the breakfast was good. Overall a decent place to spend the night

Our 5th or 6th stay. Always get a room with balcony. Front staff recognized us and bent over backwards to accommodate us. Its the little things of being recognized I appreciate. Rooms are clean, Roku tv, great cappuccino machine in breakfast room, internet works great. McDonald's and Esso next door. 15 minute walk to Clifton Hill. I love the free parking aspect. No complaints for a low budget accommodation. With alot of competition in the area for selection, we will continue to choose Glengate as our winter weekend destination. See you in January.

Corny location but there beds are uncomfortable

The room was spacious and had a high ceiling, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were also courteous and helpful. However, there were a few issues that need attention. The room was somewhat dimly lit, with only one light source. Additionally, the TV experienced loading issues. Furthermore, the key card had some technical difficulties, requiring multiple attempts (five times) to gain access to the room.

I always enjoy my stay. The staff is friendly, polite, accommodating. I feel very much like family here. Breakfast is great! Room is always clean, smells nice. The staff work hard and they deserve a nice raise. Thanks Theresa.

I HIGHLY DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! The hotel is completely unaccommodating to customers’s needs. We booked for two nights but my husband and I had an emergency due to which we wanted to cancel for the first night. We requested the hotel multiple times through Expedia twice and I personally contacted them latter my husband called them as well. We called them a day and half in advance through Expedia, explaining our problem (we were well in advance calling and informing them). However there were no efforts made to change or accommodate or adjust the prices or even give a one time exception. Instead they blamed us saying we did not call them sooner, which I don’t understand how could I have know about an emergency sooner. And the lady at front desk said if you booked you would have been sure, so we don’t understand why you want to cancel. Which made no sense to me. It felt like they didn’t really care what their customer was going through (all they cared was about their business). I don’t think any business runs without the customer. The hotel also isn’t too bougie. I’ve stayed at multiple places but never experienced such a bad customer service ever. The manager and the woman at the desk were extremely un empathetic and kept replying “this is our policy” over and over again rather than providing a solution. I’ve seen extremely giant businesses accommodate to customers need and bend over their policies. I don’t think they care about anything apart from their money.

Very convenient location. Rooms are clean and the check-in was really easy. This is my go to location when I come to Niagara Falls

Check in and check out was easy. The breakfast included in your stay was great, very convenient and very tasty. Parking is horrible, tight spaces and not enough parking, it gets full quick. Staff do not interact with you, no good morning or good evening, only if you approach them then they will interact with you.

Most of the staff were pleasant. On my last day, I asked for the room to be made by leaving the sign provided on the door handle. Upon return that evening I found all the dirty towels in the bathroom and the beds unmade. I informed front desk who told me she can provide clean towels and then asked why were the sheets dirty. I had to argue with her to receive clean linens and the dirty linens were not removed until the next morning. Room was poorly cleaned. They don't clean the bathroom during your stay, they only give clean towels.

Staff is always Amazing, ready to help in any way . Making sure your stay is comfortable.

The staff were courteous, and the check-in was very simple and efficient. The location is excellent and the room was clean. Great value! Will definitely be staying here the next time I’m in the Niagara Falls area.

This is far walking too the Clifton hills and falls the area doesn’t feel safe to walk at night staff are nice

A good location to stay. Close to everything. Easy walk to The Go Station.

A great place to stay and within walking distance of Clinton Hill and the falls. Staff were polite.

It is more then 5 min walk to Clifton Hill if you are older or have any trouble walking find a closer hotel

Convenient access to Niagara On the Lake and Niagara Falls. Great breakfast. From our room we could see the 10:00 p.m. fireworks in Niagara Falls. On site parking but a bit limited.

This hotel is right off the highway as soon as you get into Niagara Falls coming from Toronto. The hotel doesn’t only seem very clean but smells very clean too! Ditto for the room. Although it was a bit dated, it was very clean and smelled very clean too. We got the honeymoon suite as that was the only room with king size bed which we needed due to our 3 yr old who likes to sleep with us. The bed was very spacious for the 3 of us but felt like we were sinking towards the middle. Probably due to its age. The heart shaped jacuzzi was nice and our 3 yr old especially loved the pool in our room…. Lol. The hotel is about a 15 min walk to Clifton Holl but since we had a 3 yr old we decided to drive to Clifton Hill and park in a $10 flat parking lot right by Clifton Hill. The hotel is right beside a mosque and across from a liquidation center. Liquidation center was kinda flop though as all the food was expired and on sale for $1… lol. Although we found parking right at the front of the entrance I did overhear another customer complain that they couldn’t find a spot. The breakfast offerings were decent, although there was no scrambled eggs. The breakfast area was spick and span! There was an attendant in the room who did a great job in maintaining the room in a spick n span condition. She was also preparing the waffles, which I appreciated cuz I always burn myself on those things! Overall great experience for a great price on a busy Memorial Day weekend!

Everything was okay. But be sure the property is bit far from Clifton as compared to other ones. 15 minutes walk till sky wheel.

Room was ok. Shower small. Could add more select on the breakfast. Old style window air conditioning load and no settings for control like a thermostat. Not worth cost paid on room.

This property is near to (walkable) Clifton Entertainment area, so naturally space is premium and rooms and parking cannot be expected to be very large. Overall it was okay for one night and I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to visit Niagara for one night. One hot item could have been added to breakfast though (like scambled egg or something)

Very clean and spacious rooms! Nice high ceilings and beds were comfortable. Staff wa friendly and very quick check-in and check-out. Great waffles included in the breakfast!

Everything was great. The breakfast spread was amazing. The staff was cordial. Place was clean. Service was quick. Plenty of parking options.

A very nice, inexpensive, and well worn hotel. The place could use a refresher, otherwise it was still clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is very good. The Niagara sights and attractions are all walking distance. Will definitely stay there again. Many thanks.
