A la carte dining was pretty good but make sure that your time in advance. Also, you cannot book all nights you want, it's limited based on the amount of time you spend at the hotel. We spent 7 nights and were able to book only 3 times at a la carte restaurants. Pools were cold, to the degree that even kids didn't want to be in the water. It was not enough chaise longs both at the beach and poolside. They have a ton of Balinese beds you can book for money ($20-30 a day depends on location) but they stay empty and take up the room where chaise longs could be. Long lines at the pool and beach bars. Cocktails were not good. The territory in large, very green and beautiful with a ton of wildlife - agouti, coati, peacocks, spider monkeys in one area. that was probably the best. The beach is good, no big waves no big rocks (but still some some be careful). There were some seaweed but not much and hotel personnel took pretty good care of it.

This hotel is beautiful, has nice beach but only 5 palm trees on it. Every morning before 7 :00 am we had to reserve sunbed because there weren't many of them . Same at the pool. Food was ok in the buffet. Dinners at the restaurant were very good.

Buckle in for a honest review from someone who visits a lot of resorts (with the wife and one 16 year old. The property is massive. I had a 10 minute walk to the beach from my room. They have golf cart shuttles running around. A lot are nice and pick you up, a couple will run you over when you try to hitch a ride. The property grounds are a beautiful jungle setting and well maintained. I stayed at beach / del mar side (poor people side). Check in was normal, then to the "concierge" to "learn" about the property. All they want is to get you into a time share meeting. They will waste all you time until you get up a leave. The rooms are showing their age (showers are worn, leaking, tub was cracked, inches of caulk covering everything) All the restaurants are outside, Jungle mosquitos. Dinner buffet is for the mosquitos to eat you, not so you can eat the buffet. We liked the food. we mainly stayed with the buffet. Lots of bacon, eggs, guacamole, and well marinated meats. (and rabbit food) Hit or miss is the theme of this resort. Sometimes the waiters were awesome. Several times I had to get up and get my own water from the waiter stand(after waiting 10 minutes and eating half my food) Lots of entertainment and they include everyone (most of the time) They did ignore our request to join once and went out and gathered Spanish speaking families instead. nice gym. The tiers of the hotel is just petty. They won't even give you mosquito repellent unless you upgrade.

Rate it 4.5, the cons are small complaints. Loved the resort, we had an amazing time. Would go back again to Lindo/Maya. Pro: -Buffet food is yummy with lots of variety and guac. -Lots of night entertainment options. -Room clean and good a/c. -Lots of walking, only wait 5-10 mins for golf cart. -Beach is beautiful and clean. -1hr included Kayak/SUP, cost $20US insurance for the week -Aquafit, beach games, gym were great -Service amazing. Con: -Buffet is outside, hot and lots of mosquitos. Bring bug spray! -Book a la carte reservations on app at 7am day of or walk in restaurants could have a waitlist. -Coatis out of control, don’t feed them or eat at the beach. -There was often a mix up with buffet nights compared to app. -We did the VIP breakfast and received 50$US towards excursion, be prepared they are very pushy. A la cartes: -Smoke house: wouldn’t recommend. chicken thighs ok, desserts were good -Mediterranean: apps and dessert good -Hacienda: Really good, similar food as Mexican buffet night. -French: Must go!

It’s a nice place but they don’t have times or hours on any of the places to get food at so you don’t know what time you can eat unless you find someone to help you , they also tell you about their “90 min presentation” but they are trying to get you to be a member which is fine but it’s way over 90 mins and they say they’re not going to pressure you but once you say no they keep “trying to make it work” over all nice place just keep in mind that they will try to make you do their 90 minute presentation that’s way over 90 minutes with a free breakfast which was okay but you’re there for vacation not to be held down for 4 hours plus… also the pools close at 7 which is annoying

Amazing resort. They should open access to bars across all resorts. Also they need to have a 24/7 bar and food service. Closing everything at 1am is diabolical. Besides everything closing at 1am my experience at this resort was exquisite.

Große Zimmer/Bad, gute Reinigung. Weitläufige Anlage mit verschiedensten Tieren. Verschiedene Restaurants die vorher reserviert werden müssen. Tische und Geschirr könnten besser gereinigt und gepflegt werden, viel Essensauswahl. Gutes Fitnessstudio.

Instalaciones muy grandes con nuchas opciones de alberca, pero, falta mas limpieza, la piscina estaba sucia muy sucia y tambien falta mas atencion al cliente, para que los empleados estan de mal humor todo el tiempo con su cara de enojados, solo 2 empleados de todos tuvieron una excelente atencion.
Instalaciones muy grandes con nuchas opciones de alberca, pero, falta mas limpieza, la piscina estaba sucia muy sucia y tambien falta mas atencion al cliente, para que los empleados estan de mal humor todo el tiempo con su cara de enojados, solo 2 empleados de todos tuvieron una excelente atencion.

Beautiful property and right on the beach. Beautiful pool but we did not spend much time there since always at the beach. Rooms very comfortable and cleaned daily for us. Staff are all very friendly and super helpful. Food was amazing - loved the buffet!! Staff would come out to talk to us in the restaurant and to make sure we were happy. We answered yes it’s amazing!! It’s a large resort but there is transportation within the resort to take around. Highly recommend!!

Upgraded for $300 when checking in at 11 AM and told room would be ready in an hour.. did not get room until 6 PM. Receptionist and concierge would just point fingers at each other and kept us going back and forth. We’ve been to iberostars in many countries and this location 3x, but this was the most disappointing trip. Moreover, the bathrooms by the pools need to be cleaned more often. They smell terrible and most of them are usually overflowing.

This was our third time at this resort, but we will probably go somewhere else next time. The Good: Both the pool and the beach areas are huge, and they have plenty of lounge chairs and shady huts. The bartenders are very friendly, and they make delicious drinks quickly and efficiently. The entertainment team is always great and we have a lot of fun with their games and shows. The property is beautiful, and the rooms are 11/10 clean each day when you return to them. The Bad: The food has never been great at any of the all-inclusives we have stayed at in the Cancun area. But my wife and I both got food poisoning from the Brazilian restaurant this time, which soured our short trip. Also, we love that there is beautiful wildlife on the resort, like peacocks, flamingos, parrots, and agoutis. But the coatis have visibly multiplied and it is a bit gross seeing them jumping on people's pool towels and digging in the trash cans. We love Cancun and we will be back! But perhaps we will spend a bit more next time in an attempt to get higher quality food.

We love this complex and the beach hotel but the rooms really need an update. The Dining, entertainment, beach and pools are outstanding but the rooms are in need of an update and seem rundown. There was a gross stain on the futon in the room. The AC was set to about 72 and no colder so it was hot and humid and must in the room. It’s tight for a family of four. We’ve been a couple times though and outside of the rooms it’s a great place and a good time. If we go again I may see if there’s a suite we can opt for.

After putting in several calls and tickets about the ai conditioning, we finally came to the realization that it wasn’t going to get better. They put an override on the unit, allowing us to turn it to 16 Celsius (should be 60 Fahrenheit) but my best guess was that it never got below 80 in our room at all times. Our 5 and 7 year old sweat through their pajamas, for Pete’s sake. Listen, I know it’s hot, I’m not ridiculous, but could someone not have just said, hey, this is the best we can do? The pool was nice, the beach was clean, but I’m not sure it was worth the $500 upgrade to be able to have beach access. Our kids did enjoy Star Camp and won’t stop talking about it so there is a plus. The bartenders know what they are doing and do it well. I don’t think we’ll be returning anytime soon and if we do, it’ll be to a resort with the a/c pumping.
After putting in several calls and tickets about the ai conditioning, we finally came to the realization that it wasn’t going to get better. They put an override on the unit, allowing us to turn it to 16 Celsius (should be 60 Fahrenheit) but my best guess was that it never got below 80 in our room at all times. Buckle in for a honest review from someone who visits a lot of resorts (with the wife and one 16 year old. The property is massive. I had a 10 minute walk to the beach from my room. They have golf cart shuttles running around. A lot are nice and pick you up, a couple will run you over when you try to hitch a ride. The property grounds are a beautiful jungle setting and well maintained. I stayed at beach / del mar side (poor people side). Check in was normal, then to the "concierge" to "learn" about the property. All they want is to get you into a time share meeting. They will waste all you time until you get up a leave. The rooms are showing their age (showers are worn, leaking, tub was cracked, inches of caulk covering everything) All the restaurants are outside, Jungle mosquitos. Dinner buffet is for the mosquitos to eat you, not so you can eat the buffet. We liked the food. we mainly stayed with the buffet. Lots of bacon, eggs, guacamole, and well marinated meats. (and rabbit food) Hit or miss is the theme of this resort. Sometimes the waiters were awesome. Several times I had to get up and get my own water from the waiter stand(after waiting 10 minutes and eating half my food) Lots of entertainment and they include everyone (most of the time) They did ignore our request to join once and went out and gathered Spanish speaking families instead. nice gym. The tiers of the hotel is just petty. They won't even give you mosquito repellent unless you upgrade.

The food was good, rooms were ok we paid for an upgrade but come to find out the rooms are the same so that was a waste of money unless you are upgrading to the Beach. The drinks were terrible compared to other resorts we have stayed at in that area. The beach was extremely crowded and there was only one bar and the line would take you 15 min to get even a juice. There was also a line everyday if you were a little later for breakfast or dinner at the buffet. We were there by 8:30 and solid line for the main one. Good thing there was a second one we found and didn’t have to wait long cause our toddler gets impatient. Overall it was not terrible but we won’t be going back to that particular Iberostar we have stayed at many others in the area that have better drinks, no lines for food and a lot less crowded. It was a pretty resort though, I think the resort next door was probably better we went to a show over there and really enjoyed it.

Love the Staff! Hospitality was a 10/10! Beautiful Area and Landscaping. The room furniture was very outdated and when they mentioned a mini bar in the description it was a small refrigerator with 6 sodas and 2 beers max. This resort was very family oriented and more for couples I wouldn’t recommend it for singles or friend groups. But other than that it was very relaxing and super lowkey not a party resort whatsoever.

We stayed in one of the beach access rooms, which was awesome it took us about a minute to get to the beach from our room, which was very close to the pool as well. However, getting to the lobby area and buffet for breakfast is a pretty long walk unless you catch a ride which is not too long of a wait at their checkpoints. I would definitely recommend staying here, there are lots of options for food and activities. The only thing I will add is the entertainment at night was a bit late for us, lots of the "main" shows started at 9:45pm when we were there and we were exhausted from being on the beach/pool all day so we usually skipped that and went to bed. Also, the wildlife there is beautiful I loved seeing all the animals daily. :)

A 3 star experience. Hotel grounds offered a lot, plenty of activies and action every day, food is pretty good for the price. The service lacked in several instances, and the hard sell on becoming a member (90min presentation took 3hrs) was approached entirely the wrong way. Skip that offer. Overall we had a good time, but will not be coming back.

Super happy and helpful staff- only true issue is the “i need to get you into a presentation” hassle. But they’re fully aware it’s an annoyance and if you give slight pushback, they’re more than willing to offer ibeurostar cash you can then use towards amenities and off site activities. other than that- everything and everyone was truly amazing. every day they’re doing something to upkeep the property. adorable animals all over. . !! helpful tip !! we found out too late lol-GOOGLE maps has the resort and can make it easier to find restaurants or areas of the place before you get the lay of the land. Enjoy vacation :)

Very rude staff - we were told we would be attending a "presentation"about the benefits of signing a long term arrangement with the resort. We were also told it\'d be very brief/informal. Then we are joined by a sales person for breakfast who did not even let us finish our food despite us having 3 infants with us. Then we went to a room where the most aggressive sales pitch took place followed by subtle shaming after we told them we would need more time to think about their offer. Resort is awkwardly laid out and catered to heavily to their premium members. Would stay clear and go elsewhere. Only managed to get one a la carte dinner in in the 4 days I was there (again, spots reserved for premium members).

To start with the good- food was great! Not greatly presented in the different buffets but tasty, tender and fresh. Also- the Star Camp was amazing! Unfortunately, the rest of the services are not so great. Reception are the worst, don’t expect them to help you with anything, as all the staff we reached out to could not help, and always responded with a bad attitude.

Communication was lacking upon check in and throughout the stay. Their website and expedia's said you could access all iberostar locations in the area but that is not true. You don't even have access to the entire resort we stayed at advertised as all-inclusive however that was not true you had to pay extra for some shows and certain areas of the resort and bars were only accessible if you paid extra for a membership but that was not communicated prior to booking. And the air conditioning in our room kept breaking. We would not stay at this resort again.

Il resort è molto bello e molto curato. Personale molto attento, disponibile e professionale. Pulizia delle camere impeccabile. Cibo, ampia scelta a buon livello.Uniche note non propriamente eccellenti riguardano la dimensione della struttura ( è immenso, anche se il servizio di trasporto per gli spostamenti interni effettuato con golf car è preciso ed ineccepibile) ed il mare che non è proprio di quello che ti aspetti ai caraibi, ci sono molti sassi ed una costante presenza di alghe anche se ad onor del vero la spiaggia viene costantemente pulita con un apposito macchinario anche più volte al giorno.

This property was beautiful, however, it was a massive complex. Unless you are willing to pay a bunch more money to be close to the pool or the beach, this place is not for you. From our room, it was a 10 minute walk to the pool, 15 minutes to the beach. Was my 1st experience with a giant complex like this. I have stayed at many other all inclusive places and I just like the feel of the smaller ones. Food was good. Recommend the taco place in the mall. VERY good. Go find it. Last thing, there are wild peacocks on the property. They are very loud at night. Had one roost on my 3rd floor balcony one night. Zero sleep. Had to go scare it away at 3:00am finally.

Beautiful property and right on the beach. Beautiful pool but we did not spend much time there since always at the beach. Rooms very comfortable and cleaned daily for us. Staff are all very friendly and super helpful. Food was amazing - loved the buffet!! Staff would come out to talk to us in the restaurant and to make sure we were happy. We answered yes it’s amazing!! It’s a large resort but there is transportation within the resort to take around. Highly recommend!!

Restaurants were A's. Alcohol was very very week in all the bar drinks, but when ordered in a restaurants, the booze was noticeable. I would go back no question.

Food poisoning on our first night from the buffet. Spent 1 day at Cancun hospital. Couldn't get in to any restaurants, all booked up (only 1 or 2 were open a night). Worst all inclusive EVER!!

This was a beautiful resort. We got to see so much wildlife. One thing that should have been better is the AC—our room was never the correct temperature despite multiple service requests. The main buffet leaves a bit to be desired but the restaurant options for dinner were all impressive. The French restaurant was my favorite!

Rate it 4.5, the cons are small complaints. Loved the resort, we had an amazing time. Would go back again to Lindo/Maya. The food was good, rooms were ok we paid for an upgrade but come to find out the rooms are the same so that was a waste of money unless you are upgrading to the Beach. The drinks were terrible compared to other resorts we have stayed at in that area. The beach was extremely crowded and there was only one bar and the line would take you 15 min to get even a juice. There was also a line everyday if you were a little later for breakfast or dinner at the buffet. We were there by 8:30 and solid line for the main one. Good thing there was a second one we found and didn’t have to wait long cause our toddler gets impatient. Overall it was not terrible but we won’t be going back to that particular Iberostar we have stayed at many others in the area that have better drinks, no lines for food and a lot less crowded. It was a pretty resort though, I think the resort next door was probably better we went to a show over there and really enjoyed it.

Very limited food options. When we arrived for our 7 day stay we were told all the restaurants were out of reservations for the first three days. They also told us we were limited to three reservations for the whole week. The buffets had the same food every day and got boring. It was extremely hard to get chairs by the pool as most were reserved by 830 am. The lights and outlets turn off after 3 minutes of no movement in the room so you couldn’t lay in bed and watch TV or read with the light on. They restricted how low we could turn the ac. I will not return.

This was our third time at this resort, but we will probably go somewhere else next time. The Good: Both the pool and the beach areas are huge, and they have plenty of lounge chairs and shady huts. The bartenders are very friendly, and they make delicious drinks quickly and efficiently. The entertainment team is always great and we have a lot of fun with their games and shows. The property is beautiful, and the rooms are 11/10 clean each day when you return to them. The Bad: The food has never been great at any of the all-inclusives we have stayed at in the Cancun area. But my wife and I both got food poisoning from the Brazilian restaurant this time, which soured our short trip. Also, we love that there is beautiful wildlife on the resort, like peacocks, flamingos, parrots, and agoutis. But the coatis have visibly multiplied and it is a bit gross seeing them jumping on people's pool towels and digging in the trash cans. We love Cancun and we will be back! But perhaps we will spend a bit more next time in an attempt to get higher quality food.

Very disappointing, on Expedia it is advertised as All Inclusive with seven à la carte restaurants, however, when you get there, the concierge will tell you that you can only make one à la cart restaurant reservation for every three nights to stay so if you stay seven nights, it’s expect to be able to eat at two à la carte restaurants, basically, you have to stay there for at least 21 nights to be able to eat at all seven restaurants. Not to mention that you have AC only in the room and some restaurants ..at the Buffet get ready to sweat..

Room was clean but pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. Food….Taco bar was good, lunch time bbq was good, and pizza at buffet was good, everything else bellow average. Most of the staff were friendly, and went above and beyond except a couple. Pools were great!! Beach wasn’t so inviting to swim in, only a small blue spot and everything else was dark brown. I hated waiting 5-10 mins I. The heat to be picked up to go from 1 spot to another, and with a toddler walking was limited. Decent activities throughout the day. No A/C except in rooms, which we hated especially at the restaurants.

Lindo hotel, bem grande, necessário caminhar bastante. Funcionários prestativos e outros mal humorados, normal num lugar em que trabalha tanta gente. Praia razoável, em dias sem sargaço o mar fica bastante agradável. Comida razoável, algumas coisas muito boas e outras apenas aceitáveis. A oferta de atividades é muito boa. No geral, pelo preço que paguei achei ótimo!

The resort is lovely. Plan to get some extra steps in as the resort is quite large. There are shuttles for guests which was nice. The food was good and drinks were delicious. The mall was great and we loved all the snack options there. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean and the air conditioning was lovely in the summer heat. We were also impressed by all the accessible features. Would definitely come back. Good value for what you pay.
