Its very lucky this property is located where it is because i doubt it would last long otherwise. Its obvious no money has been spent even maintaining let alone improving this place. It has the distinct look and feel of a bad, dated public hospital, complete with carpet which is coming away from the floor, and badly scratched faux wood panelling. The driveway/parking is a rough gravel pothole nightmare which becomes fun after rainfall! Bring your 4wd!!! The staff are glorified cashiers, nothing more. I obviously disturbed the personal phonecall the guy was enjoying when i arrived. Not even a "welcome" from him, or similar upon departure. If you are booking here because the brand name evokes images of Swiss class and sophistication, dont bother.

We stayed in a triple room and found the room to be a good size for three adults. The room was warm and comfortable. We had a buffet breakfast which was adequate. The carpets in the hallways were very worn when we were there in September but I think they may have been renovating. The only concern we had was that it was raining on arrival and there were huge potholes in the driveway and parking area. This made it very difficult to bring in luggage. The carpark area really needs some work.

This hotel is great for families or couples wanting to visit Queenstown or the nearby ski fields. The breakfast buffet was good with lots of variety. Since they appeared to be renovating another restaurant, we only had the option of eating at the Pub / Bowling facility in the evening but the food was tasty. There are a few other nearby eating establishments within walking distance. There is reliable public transportation (bus) which we took into Queenstown. Our room was clean and warm - visited at end of May for 2 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful especially a young man named Stefan. We would recommend this hotel to others for the reasons stated above.

Not bad if you’re looking for a budget stay, the whole property could use an update, stained carpets in the hall way looking drab. NO AC in the rooms- I wish I had knew that before booking. Thankfully during our stay it wasn’t too hot out. Breakfast wasn’t good, kindof dingy and weird eating in a bowling alley. If your not picky then it will be fine but It kindof turned us off. About 10 mins from town which wasn’t bad and a few restaurants right across the street. I think there’s a bus stop right outside it if you aren’t renting a car. Free parking was nice and what made me pick this place. Overall not bad but wouldn’t stay again if I had the choice.

The room service for cleaning the rooms was a game of Russian roulette. If you’re lucky it’s done, if not you got to go looking for the cleaners and some towels. I don’t blame the staff, I blame the higher management who have them doing multiple tasks and very little support, shocking.

All the carpets on the premises including the room are signifigantly worn and stained. This makes the hotel seem not clean. Simply replacing all carpets would give this place a massive upgrade. The bed is clean and comfortable. The bathroom is dated, and could benefit from a new shower curtain and a courtesy hair dryer like most other places offer. Convenient location to Queenstown and directly accross from Onson hot pools. The complimentary parking was a nice add.

Die schlimmste Unterkunft während unserer gesamten NZ-Reise, obwohl das Hotel eine wunderbare Lage hat. Die Einfahrt und der Parkplatz sind eine Buckelpiste mit großen Senken. Im Foyer lag ein abgetretener Teppichboden, der Falten schlug. Die Zimmertür ließ sich schon durch leichtes Dagegendrücken 2cm nach innen schieben und hatte keine zusätzliche Möglichkeit, von innen gesichert zu werden, die Spuren des Rückbaus waren noch zu erkennen. Das Waschbecken wies mehrere Beschädigungen auf, im Abfluss stand braunes, übelriechendes Abwasser. Der WC-Sitz löste sich bereits auf. Im Restaurant befand sich unter unserem Tisch eine Spur von verspritztem, breit gelaufenem Kaffee, die eingetrocknet und auch am nächsten Morgen nicht beseitigt war, genauso lagen Krūmel und Schmutz noch unter und zwischen den Tischen. Eine unserer Gabeln klebte mit Essensresten an der Serviette fest. Der Teppich und die Fliesen im Restaurant waren schmutzig, mit Rostringen der Tische übersät, abgetreten bzw. abgeplatzt. Das Kontinentale Frühstück war vom Umfang der angebotenen Speisen her in Ordnung, aber das Toastbrot war am Rand schon vertrocknet und der Käse rollte sich ausgetrocknet auf dem Servierbrett, obwohl wir um 8.30 Uhr frühstücken wollten, also zu einer angemessenen Zeit. Der Blick aus dem Restaurant auf das Außengelände offenbarte wild wachsendes Unkraut. Hier ist dringend eine Sanierung vonnöten, mindestens aber eine umfangreiche Reinigung!

The staff were unfriendly and not well presented. The breakfast room staff didn't wear uniform and were hard to tell apart from the guests. One breakfast staff member even had holes in her jumper. The hotel was unclean, and the carpets were worn and stained. The whole place was very outdated and needed cleaning and modernising. When we checked out, the girl on reception was totally disinterested. All she said was 'room number ' nothing else. Also, the breakfast room was shared with the bowling alley. After being out all day on Wednesday, room service knocked on our door at 4.40pm. It was too late by then so we didn't get our room cleaned. One of the worst places we've stayed

I request room service. Cleaner only change towel dairy and tidy bed. Bedsheet was not change was very dusty. I understand saving of water but at least need to shake the bedsheet. Room was not vacuum and floor of toilet had our hair Bec of no vacuum. Toilet was not clean everyday. Heat was very noise could not sleep in night.

Lovely greeting and service at reception but pretty downhill from there. The property is seriously dated (circa 1980s), and in desparate need of updating. Original fake wood panels, a heater that sounded like it was about to take off, really weak shower over the bath. The bathroom sink was blocked so the water barely drained and when it did, it kind of bubbled up and was giving off a pretty awful smell. Beds were mostly comfortable but the 2 mattresses joined in the middle was not great. Clean i guess (blocked sink aside) but hard to keep old wallpaper and 80s tiles sparkling. Given its location and the hotel brand i was hoping for better and wouldnt rush back or recommend

Room was spotless, great amenities, bowling arcade kept the kids happy & staff were really lovely especially giving me a gift for milestone birthday we were celebrating during our stay which made our visit to Queenstown even more special. Two-bedroom unit was spacious and comfortable for young family of 5 & unit 49 had amazing mountain views. Dinner was lovely however breakfast was a little underwhelming, not sure if it was a new staff member or not but barista did not make nice coffee. Thankfully there was a nespresso coffee machine in our room so that saved the day. Will definitely stay again :)

Everything was good except few things. One is they didn’t provide microwave in the room white felt awkward because I had to microwave my food from outside side such as from gas station and coffee shop. They should put just one microwave in a room. I know it’s about hygiene but if a customer would like to stya for few days , it would be fine. And another is tv. There was not much channels on a tv. Not even you tube. Which found a bit funny. Because I was staying in a macanzie motel located in a Fairlie, they have a you tube in a tv. And here, nothing. I was not watching tv because of that.

We waited at front desk for ten plus minutes for check in. We tried to order room service after a very long day but no one answered the phone. So we went down to order food but no one was there so we headed to main reception and they came and took our order. When it finally arrived it was only half our order.the room was pretty clean the hotel is a bit run down but you get what you pay for.

Great customer service. Staff were ready to help without asking. Our room was great with a very soft bed and pillows. Had some snow around the motel, iced car windows and iced puddles that cracked if you walked over them and that really made our stay amazing. The motel is central to alot of tourist attractions with Queenstown 6mins, ski field's 2mins, surrounded by breweries, hot pools across the road, pizza and many more .. let alone this place has its own ten pin bowling alley, restaurant and bar. Offers a discount on meals and drinks which was a bonus. We took advantage of this and had breakfast and dinner every day of our stay. Rooms cleaned daily along with smiley cleaners who greeted us every day. We will be back and definitely sharing our experience with others ❤️ 😊

We booked on the same day, and ended up with a nice spacious room, an incredibly warm welcome from the manager at reception, Verren, and she even went as far as to provide us with a lovely card and gift as we mentioned it was our honeymoon. She couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The hotel is in a great location just outside of Queenstown, with a few places to eat and drink nearby and a short distance away from Shotover Jet. There are nice views of the hills nearby, too.

I had a wonderful stay at this place! It may not be fancy, but that's exactly what drew me to it for a couple of nights. The rooms were practical and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which added to the overall experience. In addition, the Rakau pizza place and Cargos across the road offered delicious food and a great atmosphere that I couldn't resist. What's more, the location was perfect for exploring nearby areas such as Queenstown and Arrowtown as well as some lovely walking tracks by the Shotover River. Plus, the added bonus of a free game of bowling was an unexpected treat! Overall, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the area.

The place is fantastically situated if visiting Coronet peak. It is clean and about 20 mins from Queenstown city centre as well. The room service is not up to the mark. The team had to be reminded a couple of times and when the room was serviced the tea, milk and coffee and other amenities had not been replenished. On the last day, there was no hot water available and this was not promptly attended to. A flimsy excuse was given that maybe a number of guests had showered in the morning and hence there was no hot water. We ended up having a cold shower because we had to leave which was bot a good experience in the middle of winter. No compensation for the lack of service was offerred.

Everything looked and felt tired and worn out. The property was long overdue for a renovation. The bowling was not included in the stay. Breakfast was included but the coffee and atmosphere was empty. It was an anticlimactic ending to an amazing summer holiday in the South Island.

Convenience and very helpful staff. No problem for chair table. Extra duvet done immediately . Bad food at bowling alley. Chips burnt pizza edges all curled and over done. Such a shame it could have been so much better. Nobody was bowling the place was empty at 6pm????
