The staff were accommodating. I wasnt going to be able to hav breakfast so it was arranged for me to pick up a breakfast box. It was great having the pub next door. The 850 bus goes from outside into Henley-on-Thames regularly

The room and venue were both really good. Wifi was not great and often dropped out. Breakfast staff Mon/Tues were professional and helpful but the staff on duty for Weds/Thurs definitely need customer service training.

The hotel is very dated (1980’s) but clean staff very good and polite has pub next door so can get a breakfast and lunch . Ideal for what needed 👍

Very convenient for my purposes e.g. visiting family in Twyford. It doesn't pretend to be something it isn't and this is reflected in the prices. That said it has everything you'll need, it all works and the food and drinks pub prices and quality.

A very cheerful and helpful welcome which is always appreciated. The Hotel was conveniently beside the A4 and easy to find. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable with all the expected amenities. Dining in the Hungry Horse was OK but not exceptional. The availability of a Snacks/Drinks Vending Machine was also a bonus. Would highly recommend.

There are no frills at the Wee Waif, however this is the 2nd time I've used it as a journey breaker heading west. The bar food, Sports TV and free WiFi give me all I need for a one-night stopover. Will definitely use again.

A nice place with comfortable beds. The decor was a little dated and there were a few marks on the walls but it was very clean. Staff were friendly. The room was very spacious and was great value for money.

Previous experience with Green King properties has been negative, so I was initially impressed when checking in. All reception staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was fairly spacious with a sofa on one side. The room was quite clean, as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a large TV. The shower has good pressure and maintained a fairly constant temperature. The main negative was the extremely hot temperature; there was only a small fan to help with this. The window barely opened, which exacerbated the problem. The restaurant, however, was awful. Firstly, the table was sticky which makes you doubt the general hygiene within the establishment. Then, you're forced to download yet another app to order food, or join a long and not moving queue at the bar. There was no cutlery in the self serve tray, so they had to be requested from staff, these were dirty when brought to the table. The quality of the food was below average; chips stick together, too much use of the microwave, etc.

Clean room, lots of hot water, stayed in room 28 but hairdryer didn’t work. Also found the room colder than we wanted, we couldn’t get it above 19 degrees, would have liked it a couple of degrees warmer.

Food was disappointing. Continental breakfast looked very sad. Poor selection of very small muffins. Hot water for tea was only warm. Lunch baguette was inedible - the baguette was as tough as leather. Room was clean and presentable. However, the carpet was threadbare at the entrance to the bathroom. The surface around the sink was damaged. The reception desk was rarely manned.

the mattress had been run over by a track for a year and put back on the bed. as for the shower I can’t even use word to describe it. How hard to have a decent bed and shower which is clean a usable?? Specially at £100 a night.

Generally a bit tired. Problem with shower tap but husband seemed to get it working, hairdryer not working but staff found me another. Staff were great and room comfortable. No complaints considering the price.

The property is located not too far from Heathrow which makes it handy to get clear of the heavy traffic. The reception was genuinely pleasant, courteous and professional. For the fees paid to stay it’s extremely reasonable, the carpet in our room needs attention but other than that very good value.

Very convenient for my purposes e.g. visiting family in Twyford. It doesn't pretend to be something it isn't and this is reflected in the prices. That said it has everything you'll need, it all works and the food and drinks pub prices and quality.

A very cheerful and helpful welcome which is always appreciated. The Hotel was conveniently beside the A4 and easy to find. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable with all the expected amenities. Dining in the Hungry Horse was OK but not exceptional. The availability of a Snacks/Drinks Vending Machine was also a bonus. Would highly recommend.

It was very quiet, which i was not sure it would be. I only ate breakfast there, which was quite good. I liked it being on the bus line.

Arrived early as we were going to a festival, went into the pub/ restaurant first for a breakfast. Waffles & berries was not great, fruit were definitely frozen & looked like mush on presentation, my cornflake chicken burger was luck warm as was my daughter full breakfast. The room were recast early

Like staying here as it's near my daughter. Staff friendly and really helpful ( especially if you misplace your keys, oops!) ). Dining facilities really good and the foods great also. Will definitely be staying again and would recommend to anyone.

Previous experience with Green King properties has been negative, so I was initially impressed when checking in. All reception staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was fairly spacious with a sofa on one side. The room was quite clean, as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a large TV. The shower has good pressure and maintained a fairly constant temperature. The main negative was the extremely hot temperature; there was only a small fan to help with this. The window barely opened, which exacerbated the problem. The restaurant, however, was awful. Firstly, the table was sticky which makes you doubt the general hygiene within the establishment. Then, you're forced to download yet another app to order food, or join a long and not moving queue at the bar. There was no cutlery in the self serve tray, so they had to be requested from staff, these were dirty when brought to the table. The quality of the food was below average; chips stick together, too much use of the microwave, etc.

Lunch baguette was inedible - the baguette was as tough as leather. Room was clean and presentable. However, the carpet was threadbare at the entrance to the bathroom. The surface around the sink was damaged. The reception desk was rarely manned.

Friendly reception All a bit tired and felt like it could do with a really good deep clean. Bed was fine though and location worked for one night stay. Didn’t use the pub next door but served food. Although just off the A4 the room was surprisingly quiet. No air con, but a small fan in the room.

For the price it is hard to beat. Yes it could do with a bit of a refurb but the staff do a great job in making the best of it. The beds are super comfy. The staff are really pleasant and helpful.
