Definitely the best property we stayed in at Koh Samui! We’ve stayed in 3 properties and this was by far the best one! Originally it should have been 3 nights but we ended up with 8 nights ;-) We stayed in one of the plunge villas (2 adults 1.5 y old baby) - it was the best as you can enjoy all services of the hotel but you have your privacy. Small pool & garden were great for our baby - very convinient! Villa was spaceous, everything working well, cleaned every day. We tried several times also room service (food from restaurant) - fresh, tasty, did not take too long. Breakfast - great start into the day with eating well and enjoying the view at the sea! Variety of food was very good - the kid’s corner was very nice as well, our baby liked the food, too! Property area - entrance and reception are at the main road but family rooms and villas are behind it, so it’s not noisy (our villa was very quiet). Pools - big one in the middle of the property area, 2 (adults only) at the beach. We didn’t try pools as we were either in our small villa pool or at the sea. We went to the beach in the morning and always found a spot there. Also the sand bags to lay down and relax were nice! Our baby definitely loved the kids club - very spacious and full of different toys! Staff was always very friendly - you see they like their job and try their best! If we ever go to Koh Samui again, we definitely book this hotel again!!!

The courtyard plunge pool room was spotless and the staff were all lovely and friendly. It’s on the beach and also has two pools which are very clean. It’s easy to walk to Fisherman’s Village which is buzzing in the evenings.

Helt fantastisk vistelse på Bandara. Underbar personal, väldigt god mat och frukostbuffé. Läget med flera olika pooler och bra sängar på beachen, till och med sängarna och kuddarna var bra. Gymmet luftkonditionerat med olika maskiner samt 4 löpband vilket vi nyttjade varje dag. Så hit åker vi gärna tillbaka!

The resort is very nice, we sadly was there while the main pool at the beach is being renovated. The personal is extreme friendly and all in all we would go here again. The beach is nice to have, but it was not one of the best beach we have seen.

Great resort. Our villa was perfect - we loved the outdoor shower, cabana and plunge pool. Our 3-year old slept on the day bed without us needing a rollaway bed. Breakfast restaurant was a lovely setting and the fruit/juice stand was fun (though the food on the menu wasn’t very good). The choice of pools and access to beach was awesome. Didn’t love the marijuana stench around the villas though.

Schöne Anlage mit schönem Strand. Wir hatten ein Tropical Deluxe Zimmer, es war sehr geräumig, nett eingerichtet mit tollem Bett. Auch das Fitnessstudio war okay und ordentlich ausgestattet. Wir fanden lediglich die Preise in der Strandbar für die Getränke und das Essen etwas zu hoch. Auch die Preise für den Laundry Service fanden wir leider viel zu hoch im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Hotels.

Tolle Unterkunft, sehr sauber, drei tolle Pools, sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstücksbuffett sehr gut mit großer Auswahl. Der Strand ist schön, ruhig und sauber. Zu Fuß am Strand entlang oder an der Hauptstraße kommt man in kurzer Zeit zu vielen Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Had a great stay as a solo female traveller, lovely staff, great location, loved being able to walk out directly onto the beach, be a walkable distance to some great food spots and the Fisherman’s Village Market area. I had booked onto a few tours on the island and this location was easy for the pick up cars to collect me from and drop me back to. Really beautiful grounds and had a perfect relaxing time. They also offered watersports like SUP paddleboarding hire. Only negative was that they were renovating for most of my time there (I wasn't made aware till arrived) and therefore I didn’t get to stay in the room I had booked. Ended up in a “family room” which was bigger so that was good, but just not to my taste style-wise. I had 2 days at the end when the renovations finished and the work they had done looked very nice. Would highly recommend this hotel! :)

This place is a must. Fantastic hotel, superb swimming pools, beach bars, restaurant. A quick walk in to Fisherman’s Village, perfect location for all and of course a wonderful beach front. I highly recommend this hotel and I have stayed in some of the best worldwide, this should be a 5* it’s the best around that’s for sure at a great price. This place will not disappoint.

Die Unterkunft ist insgesamt okay, aber man merkt ihr an, dass sie schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, besonders die Zimmer. Die Türen hatten viele Spalten, sodass oft Moskitos ins Zimmer schlüpfen konnten. Außerdem waren wir in einem Zimmer direkt an der Straßenseite, was bedeutete, dass wir den ganzen Tag über den Straßenlärm gehört haben. Ein weiterer Nachteil ist, dass kein Bereich des Hotels klimatisiert ist, außer die Zimmer. Das kann beim Frühstücken manchmal etwas lästig sein, besonders an warmen Tagen. Die meisten Gäste sind Familien mit Kindern, sodass das Hotel für Paare eher weniger geeignet ist. Der Hauptpool war in einem nicht so tollen Zustand, was uns enttäuschte. Allerdings hat uns der Beach-Pool gut gefallen, besonders der Adults-Only Bereich, der eine ruhige Auszeit bot. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung und die Auswahl war okay, sodass man immer etwas finden konnte. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn es auch beim Frühstück einen Adults-Only Bereich gegeben hätte, um die entspannende Atmosphäre zu fördern. Zudem ist das Hotel nicht für Personen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität geeignet, was für einige Gäste ein Problem darstellen könnte.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. However, on arrival we asked to change our room overlooking the swimming pool as it was very tired and in need of decorating. The furnishings were pleasant and in good condition but the paint work was chipped and marked. We were told all similar rooms were of the same standard so we stayed where we were. We could have up graded to one of the bungalows but didn't want to give up a beautiful view from the balcony. The housekeeping of the room however was poor. It wasn't cleaned most days before late afternoon and the balcony was never swept or washed the ten days we were there. Actually this was also true of the corridors and stairs where a dead lizard lay for the last five days and is probably still there! The towels were also often very poor being old and thin and occasionally in holes. This was very disappointing for supposedly a four star hotel. This was our 4th destination on this trip to Thailand (we've been before) and it didn't compare with the other four star hotels we stayed in.

Very nice and beautiful resort. Pools and private beach. The room was big and comfortable,breakfast was tasty and with a lot of variety of dishes. Located near the Main Street and 5 min walk from fisherman’s market. I have only one notice for improvement and it’s the cleanliness of the room-needs to be more good,and sheets need to be replaced at least one in a few days (we have been in the hotel for 6 days). The furniture needs some updating as well

Hotel was much better than we expected! Room was spacious and had a pool view. It was spotlessly clean. We loved the beach and the adults pool and the music playing at just the right level. The happy hour cocktails were delicious, especially the passion fruit daiquiri. Some fab local restaurants nearby and enjoyed drinks at coco tams on the beach. The only criticism would be the breakfast. The food wasn't very well covered and the room was hot so the flies were a bit off putting, especially on the fruit. The juices were also too sweet and artificial - Thailand has such lovely fruit, a juice station would go down well!

Great stay, not quite as exclusive as the pictures look, but still a great hotel. Pool quite busy with kids so spent a lot of time at the private beach. Good drink and food options at the beach bar. Breakfast was great every morning. Our only downside was that we missed the housekeeping on 2 days as they turned up at 5:30pm - 6pm when we were getting ready, this should be done during the day / morning! Would recommend though and would come back!

Vi havde en plunge pool villa. Ikke hvad vi forventede ud fra bookingen. Kedeligt udeområde og villaen trængte til lidt shine efter man fx har flyttet lamper mm så Man kan se huller i væggene. Fliser var falder af badekarret udenfor og der var kalkaflejringer. Appellerede ikke til brug for os. Gode hovedpuder men hård seng. Det altid en smagssag. Hotellet gør meget i at passe og pleje de store området omkring hotellet, hvilket kun gør kontrasten større til det kedelige villa område. Vi brugte derfor fællesområderne meget mere. Fin pool til de små, og generelt et meget børnevenligt sted. Legerummet var også god underholdning til vores på 1,5 år. Fin gå afstand til Fishermens Village. Sød og venlig service på hotellet. Intet at sætte på personalet. Vi ville ikke booke en villa her igen men vi kunne sargens overveje at tage et værelse i stedet en anden gang.

The hotel was lovely and our deluxe room 148 on 2nd floor was spacious and nor overlooked. The room was huge and had separate walk in shower and toilet. Shower pressure for the soaker head was weak although body jets were very powerful. Room service was ok but should have replenished the tea/coffee/whitener daily. Our only grievance which was resolved was that we booked the snack and daily cocktails package with expedia. The hotel was clueless what this meant and tried to fob us off with a daily snack to share. The bar were petty with yhe snacks and gave a smaller platter than if you had paid the 250bht. That was petty but that was the only thing. Kitty resolved the snack issue. The hotel has a massive main pool and a secluded adult pool. Grounds were beautiful and there was never a problem getting a parasol and sun lounger by either the beach or pools. We loved our stay and would return. Having seen standard rooms from the outside only. I suggest always booking a better room. Thank you for a great stay

Great resort. Our villa was perfect - we loved the outdoor shower, cabana and plunge pool. Our 3-year old slept on the day bed without us needing a rollaway bed. Breakfast restaurant was a lovely setting and the fruit/juice stand was fun (though the food on the menu wasn’t very good). The choice of pools and access to beach was awesome. Didn’t love the marijuana stench around the villas though.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. However, on arrival we asked to change our room overlooking the swimming pool as it was very tired and in need of decorating. The furnishings were pleasant and in good condition but the paint work was chipped and marked. We were told all similar rooms were of the same standard so we stayed where we were. We could have up graded to one of the bungalows but didn't want to give up a beautiful view from the balcony. The housekeeping of the room however was poor. It wasn't cleaned most days before late afternoon and the balcony was never swept or washed the ten days we were there. Actually this was also true of the corridors and stairs where a dead lizard lay for the last five days and is probably still there! The towels were also often very poor being old and thin and occasionally in holes. This was very disappointing for supposedly a four star hotel. This was our 4th destination on this trip to Thailand (we've been before) and it didn't compare with the other four star hotels we stayed in.

Pictures of the room on the website very misleading. Our room was really far away from the beach and restaurant area. They were having construction during the time of our stay which was really annoying .The breakfast menu was very limited variety & not very healthy options. Very comfortable and well designed family suite. Loved the bed and the room divider. Breakfast was well stocked with options and lovely setting on the beachfront. Loved the pool and proximity to the beach. Quite expensive pool bar and restaurant menu. Not great quality food or value for money. Very prohibitive against outside food. Didn’t try the spa because it was so expensive.

Would suggest room door sealed more to maybe cut out some of noise. Separate toilet and shower area with sliding opaque glass doors with two sinks I liked but insufficient privacy as open planned to room. Ok for “couple” but not two friends sharing.

Die Unterkunft ist insgesamt okay, aber man merkt ihr an, dass sie schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, besonders die Zimmer. Die Türen hatten viele Spalten, sodass oft Moskitos ins Zimmer schlüpfen konnten. Außerdem waren wir in einem Zimmer direkt an der Straßenseite, was bedeutete, dass wir den ganzen Tag über den Straßenlärm gehört haben. Ein weiterer Nachteil ist, dass kein Bereich des Hotels klimatisiert ist, außer die Zimmer. Das kann beim Frühstücken manchmal etwas lästig sein, besonders an warmen Tagen. Die meisten Gäste sind Familien mit Kindern, sodass das Hotel für Paare eher weniger geeignet ist. Der Hauptpool war in einem nicht so tollen Zustand, was uns enttäuschte. Allerdings hat uns der Beach-Pool gut gefallen, besonders der Adults-Only Bereich, der eine ruhige Auszeit bot. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung und die Auswahl war okay, sodass man immer etwas finden konnte. Good honest hotel, great pool and beach access with sun lounges. My first night my room was right on the street and it was quite noisy, I filled in the Expedia review saying checkin was good but room was noisy, and they called me the next morning and I switched rooms. Staff were great, amazing breakfast buffet… more than everything you could want!

My stay at Bandara was wonderful from arrival to leaving the resort. All of the staff are welcoming and friendly, and go out of their way to ensure you are enjoying your stay. I would especially like to thank John for giving me a great tour of the resort when taking me to my room and Rex for being so helpful when extending my stay and carrying my bags for me as I was leaving. I enjoyed my stay so much and hope to stay here again in the future!

The resort was exceptional in every respect that I experienced, the quality and range of facilities, the cleanliness and comfort of the room, and in particular, for a lone traveler, was the hospitality of the staff, who were charming, attentive and took care to remember your name and take genuine interest in your interests and needs. I stayed over the holiday period and felt that the hotel may have overbooked and not been able to handle the demand. Breakfast was chaotic particularly at the egg station, waited close to 20mins and ended up having to wait directly in front as they kept skipping my order. The hotel is situated on a super busy road that you will need help to cross which isn’t ideal if you want to get out and explore and not use taxis/transport all the time. There was a power cut over night and the generator was quite loud. They also had a special holiday event which they never mentioned on check in which meant the restaurant was closed to any type of room service. Meant I ended up going out for drinks on an empty stomach which wasn’t ideal, I would have planned dinner outside if I’d known it wasn’t going to be available. Finally my room wasn’t cleaned throughout my stay so water/towels etc weren’t replenished. One positive is the room was actually nice but I think for the price paid which was far more expensive than better equipped hotels the negatives outweigh the positives in my opinion.

The hotel and hotel area are nice, and the service is good. Unfortunately, the hotel area is very large, which means it’s a long walk from the reception and rooms to the restaurant and beach. We were given rooms facing the road, which felt far from the restaurant, resulting in many walks back and forth during the day. The prices at the restaurant and bar are very high. Even the massage is on the expensive side. Fisherman’s Village and the walking street are only a 10-minute walk from the hotel and are a must-visit. The variety and prices are better there for both food, drinks, and massage. Unfortunately, the beach is not good. It looks nice but consists of some form of coral gravel instead of sand, making it difficult to walk on the beach and get in and out of the sea if you have leg or back problems. But the service is good, and the staff is friendly.

Amazing stay, great breakfast. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice strip of lush restaurants and a market on their doorstep and a 10min drive/ride to Chaweng.

This place is a must. Fantastic hotel, superb swimming pools, beach bars, restaurant. A quick walk in to Fisherman’s Village, perfect location for all and of course a wonderful beach front. I highly recommend this hotel and I have stayed in some of the best worldwide, this should be a 5* it’s the best around that’s for sure at a great price. This place will not disappoint.

Property good . Rooms a little tired. Good size room bathroom adequate. Staff friendly and helpful. Right on the beach. Nice beach area plenty of lounges. Good breakfast. Easy walk to Fisherman’s village.

Our stay at Bandara was fantastic. The resort staff was so very helpful, kind & friendly. The location within walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf was amazing too. Stay here, you won’t be disappointed!

Great resort. Our villa was perfect - we loved the outdoor shower, cabana and plunge pool. Our 3-year old slept on the day bed without us needing a rollaway bed. Breakfast restaurant was a lovely setting and the fruit/juice stand was fun (though the food on the menu wasn’t very good). The choice of pools and access to beach was awesome. Didn’t love the marijuana stench around the villas though.

I enjoyed a very relaxing stay at Bandara. The resort had all the amenities and lacked for nothing. Breakfast at the water’s edge every morning was a treat, as was the fire show during one of their dinners. And sunset coupled with happy hour at the bar is a great way to while away the hours. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. I must give a special mention to their guest relations manager Kitty. He inquired daily into how my stay was going and whenever I needed his help (a late check out) he was quick to sort. People like Kitty who go the extra mile to help make the stay that more exceptional. I can’t wait to return.

Very nice hotel. Great room with great amenities. Nice beach and restaurant on the beach. Great couple swimming pools, friendly staff. The are many dining, shop, massage and street markets in the surrounding area.

Very nice and beautiful resort. Pools and private beach. The room was big and comfortable,breakfast was tasty and with a lot of variety of dishes. Located near the Main Street and 5 min walk from fisherman’s market. I have only one notice for improvement and it’s the cleanliness of the room-needs to be more good,and sheets need to be replaced at least one in a few days (we have been in the hotel for 6 days). The furniture needs some updating as well

Our stay at Bandara Resort and Spa as a couple was exceptional. We stayed in a Grand Pool Villa, which provided us with the perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. The location of Bandara was perfect, with a nice big but calm beach and walking distance to fishermen village which hade a nice night market and good restaurants. What truly stood out was the exceptional service that all of the staff gave us during our stay. A big star to Kitti who helped us with bookings of day trips to explore the island of Ko Samui and giving us helpful tips on what to do. The restaurant was also very good with a big breakfast buffet which had everything you need. The staff was very friendly and made us try new food which was very good. Also, as the restaurant was just by the sea it was a beautiful view from it. The cleaning of the room was also very good which made the stay perfect. Overall, in our view, a perfect stay that we will remember and hopefully come back to in the future.

Very comfortable and well designed family suite. Loved the bed and the room divider. Breakfast was well stocked with options and lovely setting on the beachfront. Loved the pool and proximity to the beach. Quite expensive pool bar and restaurant menu. Not great quality food or value for money. Very prohibitive against outside food. Didn’t try the spa because it was so expensive.

Hotel was much better than we expected! Room was spacious and had a pool view. It was spotlessly clean. We loved the beach and the adults pool and the music playing at just the right level. The happy hour cocktails were delicious, especially the passion fruit daiquiri. Some fab local restaurants nearby and enjoyed drinks at coco tams on the beach. The only criticism would be the breakfast. The food wasn't very well covered and the room was hot so the flies were a bit off putting, especially on the fruit. The juices were also too sweet and artificial - Thailand has such lovely fruit, a juice station would go down well!

Great stay, not quite as exclusive as the pictures look, but still a great hotel. Pool quite busy with kids so spent a lot of time at the private beach. Good drink and food options at the beach bar. Breakfast was great every morning. Our only downside was that we missed the housekeeping on 2 days as they turned up at 5:30pm - 6pm when we were getting ready, this should be done during the day / morning! Would recommend though and would come back!

Bandara was everything we were looking for for our family holiday with a 13 and 9 year old. Great facilities, a pool we lived in, a kids club they both enjoyed and made them feel independent, and a fantastic location on the beach and edge of Fisherman’s Village. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was also easily able to arrange a pick up from the airport which made arriving to the island very easy with kids. We couldn’t recommend Bandara high enough if you are looking for a family resort in the Bophut area of Koh Samui.

Great family resort in perfect location. We stayed in the family room with 9mth old and 2.5yo, room was spacious and perfect for us given you could close off the kids room. Resort is a great size and caters well to everyone. Kids playroom was handy and the multiple pools were well used. Food at the resort was great, there are also plenty of options outside but we didnt need to use it much given the variety and quality of the food within the resort. Would definitely stay there again.
