When we arrived, we learned that the main pool overlooking the beach was closed for renovation, which was a little disappointing and made the walk down the beach a bit odd as you had to walk through the restaurant. We were told that we were going to get a room upgrade as a result, but I’m not convinced that we got more than we had already booked and our room was directly adjacent to the busy Chaweng road. We’ve stayed here before, so hopefully this was a blip. On the positive side, the room was nice and very clean, the grounds are well kept and the staff in the breakfast room were very friendly. When the main pool reopened, it looked good.

We had a beautiful stay! The staff and facilities were fantastic and the location is great, a quieter, lovely part of the beach but only a short walk to all the action in Chaweng. We also went on a snorkeling tour organised through the hotel which was brilliant.

The hotel itself was great, the amenities and common areas including the pool, the lawn, the beach area, lobby, everything is wonderful. But the room (despite the great balcony overlooking the pool) leaves a bit to boot to be desired. The layout was a little bit strange but the main concern was that there’s mold on the AC vent and also on the curtains that lead to the balcony. It’s understandably very humid and hot inside and inside the room is very cold and this leads to mold but I think the hotel should be taking better steps to account for this or change the curtains more frequently and more frequently device the AC vents. It’s a short stay whether you’re there for a couple days or a week so it’s not a HUGE deal but no one likes mold and it makes the room feel dirty.

Die Hotelanlage mit dem Thai Village ist schön gestaltet. Es gibt 3 Pools. Das Frühstück ist sehr umfangreich. Zu beachten ist, dass die meisten Hotelzimmer durch eine Strasse vom Hotelteil am Strand und dem Strand selbst getrennt ist. Es hat jedoch eine sehr freundliche Person, die jeweils der Verkehr aufhält. Mich haben viele Tiere (Sandflöhe oder ähnlich) gebissen. Nicht sicher ob am Strand oder im Zimmer. Der Sand am Strand ist sehr fein und weiss. Das Meer hat jedoch einiges Gras im Wasser und ist bei Ebbe oft nur Hüfttief bis weit nach draussen.

Schöne Hotelanlage direkt am Chaweng Strand. Das Personal ist überaus nett und hat immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen, was einen immer das Gefühl gibt willkommen zu sein. Die Lage des Hotels ist nur wenige Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt und nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt von der belebten Gegend von Chaweng mit vielen Restaurants, Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Hotel hat einen „eigenen“ Strand mit Liegen, der sehr sauber ist. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und hat eine große Auswahl an thailändischem, indischem und europäischem Essen. Die Speisen außerhalb der Frühstücks Zeit haben wir nur im Hoteleigenem Restaurant Prego getestet und waren sehr lecker. Sonst nur Cocktails und Kokosnüsse, welche alle gut waren! Wir haben eine Thaiölmassage gemacht und waren begeistert von der Atmosphäre und die Massage war die beste Massage die wir bisher hatten! Das Hotel hat 3 Pools. Einen Hauptpool am Strand, und jeweils 2 zwischen den Hütten in denen die Zimmer sind. Auch dort gab es jeweils eine Bar an der man sich Getränke bestellen konnte. Die Anlage ist durch eine Straße getrennt an der ein Securityguard steht und die Autos anhält, damit man die Straße überqueren kann. Man kann sich auch immer ein Buggy bestellen, falls man keine Lust hat den Weg zu seinem Zimmer zu Fuß zu gehen. Die Zimmer waren gut. Wir haben über das Hotel auch eine Tour gebucht. Die Tour ging in den Ang Ton Nationalpark mit Schnorcheln und Kayakfahren. Diese können wir auch empfehlen!

Schönes, großes Hotel am Chaweng Strand mit großem Frühstücksangebot und sehr freundlichen Service. Drei Pools für die verschiedenen Flügel des Hotels und liegen direkt am Strand. Jedoch könnte das Hotel eine Renovierung vertragen.

Es gibt gar nichts an dem Hotel auszusetzen: tolles Personal, tolle Anlage, bestes Frühstück, ehrliche Auskunft an der Rezeption, sogar der Fitnessraum passt. Das Servicelevel ist umwerfend. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

早朝着の便で到着、ホテルにタクシーサービスを依頼、400バーツ アーリーチェックインをして貰えたが敷地の一番奥の部屋なので毎回カートを呼んだ レセプションに近い部屋は4泊でプラス13万円と言われたのでやめた笑 カートはすぐ来たがハイシーズンでもすぐ来るかは分からない スタッフは概ね良好ですが、同伴者は朝食時まだ食べている皿を片付けようとするのが不満だと言った 何でもすぐに捨てたがるのは日本人として、 SGD'sとしてもC国の影響か？ 客として何処にでも居るC国人は居ないようだった 落ち着いて滞在できた

Vi bodde 5 nätter på Garden Wing med ny swimmingpool i området. Trots mycket folk var det lugnt och stilla om man undantar en grupp indiska kvinnor som var lite högljudda av sig. Men när de hade checkat ut var det lugnt igen. Man fick gå över en hårt trafikerad väg för att komma till Garden Wing från receptionen, men en trafikvakt var alltid på plats vid övergångsstället så det var inga problem. Frukostbuffén var mycket väl tilltagen och god och restaurangpersonalen var mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Vårt rum var jättestor (41 kvm) med balkong och kylskåp och möjligheter till att koka te och kaffe. Dessutom ingick två flaskor dricksvatten. Vill man ha mer än två flaskor var det bara att säga till. Sängen bäddades varje dag och man fick dagligen nya handdukar. Badrummet var stort med både dusch och badkar och allt man behövde i form av schampoo, lotion, tvål, tandkräm och tandborstar fanns inklusive badmössa och badrockar. Vi var mycket nöjda med vistelsen och återkommer gärna.

Det här var andra gången jag bodde här på kort tid och den här gången fick jag tyvärr ett rum som luktade mögel och där det fanns stora mängder myror som kröp överallt och kom från ventilationen och badrummet och sprickor. Inte fräscht och jag förväntar mig mer när standarden skall vara hög.

Having stayed in 3 5tar hotels on the island , this hotel would rate at 2-3stars , i would avoid it The room floor was sticky, the bathroom sink kept leaking underneath, room was full of mosquitios, the fire alarm in room went off at 1am, 2am and 3.30am, they dod not offer to move us till last one went off , during this time it was loud siren in the room. The doors all slam, so all night when people are going in and out of rooms, its just loud slamming noises. Poorly kept and maybe a 3star package holiday, we would not ever go back

The hotel is dated and due for an upgrade. The room walls are paper-thin so you can hear anyone closing doors throughout the night (our neighbor was in and out, multiple times, past 11pm both nights). The beachfront was weedy compared to further down the beach given the surrounding landscape creates a relatively still-water 'bay' effect. We were a bit taken aback when we realized the hotel was advertised as a five star, and "on the beach". Our room ended up across the street and far back from the beachfront. We also stay at exclusively five star hotels (not because we're pretentious, but because value-for-money here, specifically, is great)...this hotel doesn't even come close to those other experiences. Pros: -the staff were great, polite and respectful. Cons: -Can hear everything between rooms. -Room felt damp, dark/dingy, and desperately in need of a deep cleaning. -Lots of chaos at breakfast with kids crawling all over the place. -Beach was weedy, with boats tied off just off shore. Overall, if this was advertised as a three-year hotel, I would rate it well...The hotel is cost effective, and if you have children it could be a great option. We also stay at exclusively five star hotels (not because we're pretentious, but because value-for-money here, specifically, is great)...this hotel doesn't even come close to those other experiences. Pros: -the staff were great, polite and respectful. Cons: -Can hear everything between rooms. -Room felt damp, dark/dingy, and desperately in need of a deep cleaning. -Lots of chaos at breakfast with kids crawling all over the place. -Beach was weedy, with boats tied off just off shore. Overall, if this was advertised as a three-year hotel, I would rate it well...The hotel is cost effective, and if you have children it could be a great option. However, if you are a couple, and expecting a five-star experience, I would not recommend this option.

Overall an excellent experience. Great beachfront location, and in a good location for evening dining and shopping options, all within walking distance. Staff service and cleanliness was always to a high standard, especially good service from Pen in the restaurant. Would definitely return.

The positives were sadly out weighed by the negatives. The views around the main pool were great, the room was spacious, staff were lovely and the breakfast was good. Sadly the hotel was not good value. The room was tired and grubby. We had to get housekeeping to sweep the floor when we arrived and there were dirty marks on the furnishings and furniture and rubbish down the street de of the bed. It lacked attention to detail. The irony of being advised that were couldn’t use the pool outside of our room for an afternoon while they held a private function to officially open the pool was not lost on us. Overall an overpriced hotel which could do better.

The hotel itself was great, the amenities and common areas including the pool, the lawn, the beach area, lobby, everything is wonderful. But the room (despite the great balcony overlooking the pool) leaves a bit to boot to be desired. The layout was a little bit strange but the main concern was that there’s mold on the AC vent and also on the curtains that lead to the balcony. It’s understandably very humid and hot inside and inside the room is very cold and this leads to mold but I think the hotel should be taking better steps to account for this or change the curtains more frequently and more frequently device the AC vents. It’s a short stay whether you’re there for a couple days or a week so it’s not a HUGE deal but no one likes mold and it makes the room feel dirty.

The room was outdated and very far from the entrance. Some bathroom fitting didn't work and the Basin needed to be unplugged. This should have been done before we were given the room. The third bed was short and not suitable for teenager or young adult.

We had originally booked a Superior King room - Garden Wing. The room was on the 3rd floor with access by stairs only, the WiFi was poor & the room was accross a busy road to the main part of the hotel. We were then upgraded free of charge to a room in the Thai Village wing which was closer to the beachside of the hotel. This room was amazing & definitely 5 star.

Everything was great about this hotel. When I checked in they took me too my room. It was raining so I turned on the TV. There was no sound from the TV. I called and Maintenance came to take a look. They couldn't fix it. Within 10 minutes they installed a different TV, now that to me is going above and beyond. The staff is incredibly friendly.

Covid has been particularly tough for Thailand. A lot of the people from far North Thailand etc had to go home when the hotel(s) shut down, so when Thailand re-opened for tourism, a lot of these people had found alternative work and were happy to remain home. The Amari is in a period of training and having to find more staff when they are at Optimum capacity. I commend all the work that the Managers are doing to ensure the staff are supported and are receiving training as required. Nevertheless, I was well looked after and enjoyed being a VIP for 2 weeks To Wee and all the staff, thank you very much for looking after and listening to me. I will see you again for 2 weeks in September 2023

We had a beautiful stay! The staff and facilities were fantastic and the location is great, a quieter, lovely part of the beach but only a short walk to all the action in Chaweng. We also went on a snorkeling tour organised through the hotel which was brilliant.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Garden Wing im dritten Stock. Hier ist zu erwähnen, dass es keinen Aufzug gibt - wer Probleme hat, zwei Etagen regelmäßig zu laufen, sollte um ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss bitten. Beim Gepäck wird einem jedoch bei Check-in und -out geholfen. Man hat ca. 5-7 Minuten Fußweg, um vom Zimmer im Garden Wing zum Frühstück/Pool/Strand zu gelangen und muss dabei auch mithilfe eines Verkehrspolizisten die Straße überqueren. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig, alles sehr lecker! Der Pool direkt am Meer ist unserer Meinung nach langsam renovierungsbedürftig. Am Strand stehen ausreichend Liegen mit Schatten bereit, die Auflagen könnten mal wieder erneuert werden. Strandtücher inklusive. Als störend haben wir die verschiedenen Händler empfunden, die direkt neben den Liegen ihre Sachen aufgebaut haben und dann mit den Waren durch die Reihen gehen. Unser Zimmer hat muffig gerochen, wie in anderen Rezensionen erwähnt. Das Personal war durchweg super freundlich und hilfsbereit, allerdings gibt es des Öfteren Sprachbarrieren. Alles in allem können wir das Resort empfehlen, aber wir könnten uns nicht vorstellen, dort länger als eine Woche zu bleiben, da sowohl Frühstück als auch Umgebung und Strand einfach eintönig werden.

We enjoyed our stay at Amari. The pools were great, the breakfast was amazing ( it was almost like a dinner with the variety) The staff were pleasant. The only thing that was not as we had hoped was the beach. In front of the hotel, there is a lot of algae and is very shallow. However, if you walk 10 minutes down the beach, it is gorgeous. As long as you are OK to take a little walk, you will find a stunning, clear beach.

Enjoyed our stay. the hotel is in a perfect location. The staff do a great job with the upkeep of the grounds. rooms ect. Breakfast was excellent with numerous choices. There is a lovely nearby beach bar/restaurant called Your Place, come out the hotel on the beach side and turn left and it's a five minute walk, reasonable prices and tasty food.

Schöne Hotelanlage direkt am Chaweng Strand. Das Personal ist überaus nett und hat immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen, was einen immer das Gefühl gibt willkommen zu sein. Die Lage des Hotels ist nur wenige Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt und nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt von der belebten Gegend von Chaweng mit vielen Restaurants, Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Hotel hat einen „eigenen“ Strand mit Liegen, der sehr sauber ist. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und hat eine große Auswahl an thailändischem, indischem und europäischem Essen. Die Speisen außerhalb der Frühstücks Zeit haben wir nur im Hoteleigenem Restaurant Prego getestet und waren sehr lecker. Sonst nur Cocktails und Kokosnüsse, welche alle gut waren! Wir haben eine Thaiölmassage gemacht und waren begeistert von der Atmosphäre und die Massage war die beste Massage die wir bisher hatten! Das Hotel hat 3 Pools. Einen Hauptpool am Strand, und jeweils 2 zwischen den Hütten in denen die Zimmer sind. Auch dort gab es jeweils eine Bar an der man sich Getränke bestellen konnte. Die Anlage ist durch eine Straße getrennt an der ein Securityguard steht und die Autos anhält, damit man die Straße überqueren kann. Man kann sich auch immer ein Buggy bestellen, falls man keine Lust hat den Weg zu seinem Zimmer zu Fuß zu gehen. Die Zimmer waren gut. Wir haben über das Hotel auch eine Tour gebucht. Die Tour ging in den Ang Ton Nationalpark mit Schnorcheln und Kayakfahren. Diese können wir auch empfehlen!

Einen Hauptpool am Strand, und jeweils 2 zwischen den Hütten in denen die Zimmer sind. Auch dort gab es jeweils eine Bar an der man sich Getränke bestellen konnte. Die Anlage ist durch eine Straße getrennt an der ein Securityguard steht und die Autos anhält, damit man die Straße überqueren kann. Man kann sich auch immer ein Buggy bestellen, falls man keine Lust hat den Weg zu seinem Zimmer zu Fuß zu gehen. Die Zimmer waren gut. Wir haben über das Hotel auch eine Tour gebucht. Die Tour ging in den Ang Ton Nationalpark mit Schnorcheln und Kayakfahren. Diese können wir auch empfehlen!

This hotel was right on the beach and less than 5 mins walk into the main bars and restaurants. It had a 7/11 shop 2 mins away. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Pools and rooms were great. Would definitely recommend it.

It’s a nice resort. It claims to be 5 star but I think probably 4. Neat and tidy just a little tired such as the bathroom. Friendly staff and helpful. Wide variety at breakfast. I didn’t eat in the main hotel but in their Italian restaurant. I was looking forward to the meal however was disappointed with the frozen calamari and overdone pasta. Being so close to the sea, if I were the chef, I would be showing off fresh calamari. But apart from that, a very nice stay. Beautiful people.

On our previous stay, during the same trip, we were disappointed that the main, beachfront pool was closed. This pool was now open, which totally changed (massive improvement) our view of the property. We also had a good experience at breakfast where, as vegans, we found a good range of options, which was not our experience at other hotels in the region. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely plan a return if we come to Koh Samui again.

Colazione ottima, punto mare un po’ deludente infatti erano sempre liberi i lettini ma non è un problema di struttura ma è proprio la zona così Personale gentile e educato pronto a risolvere ogni esigenza del cliente. Schöne Hotelanlage direkt am Chaweng Strand. Das Personal ist überaus nett und hat immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen, was einen immer das Gefühl gibt willkommen zu sein. Overall an excellent experience. Great beachfront location, and in a good location for evening dining and shopping options, all within walking distance. Staff service and cleanliness was always to a high standard, especially good service from Pen in the restaurant. Would definitely return.

Es gibt gar nichts an dem Hotel auszusetzen: tolles Personal, tolle Anlage, bestes Frühstück, ehrliche Auskunft an der Rezeption, sogar der Fitnessraum passt. Das Servicelevel ist umwerfend. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Fin beliggenhed og god strand. God service i reception og rengøringen. Vi synes at prisen på mad, massage samt tøjvask var alt for høj. Dejlig morgenmad og mange muligheder. Prego restauranten laver god mad, men i den lidt for dyre ende. Restauranten ved poolen er standarden på maden lav og for dyr. Lidt for meget pomfrit mad også. Der mangler en rigtig pool bar i Garden Wing. Vi rejste med vores søn på 20 mdr. og han passede ikke ind på hotellet. Børn bør være omkring 4 år, og opefter. Legeplads var af metal og ikke overdækket, og blev brændende varm. Børnepool i garden Wing var i fuld sol. Der burde være solsejl. Børneklubben bestod primær af film , computer spil, krea og ganske lidt legetøj og tidligst fra 4 år. Det personale som var i klubben havde meget travlt med deres tlf. og at være krea. Vi vil derfor aldrig benytte os af sådan en klub. Værelser og ikke mindst håndklæderne var slidt. Håndklæderne i særdeleshed.

My husband and I just came back from 8 nights at the Amari resort. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff who went above and beyond to assist us and were always super friendly. The resort itself was immaculate, and our room was spotlessly clean each and every day. The location was great, just a small walk into town and there was a 7 eleven just next door. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone travelling to Chaweng beach - cannot wait to go back!

It s hard to believe what happened . We booked out room on Expedia at 3 pm we arrive at 4 pm the room isn’t ready in inter season . I m with a 65 year old person . They tell us to wait until 5 pm !? No upgrade , just a small plat of fruit with 2 mandarines , grapes hard as nuts, and a slice of watermelon . The room « garden wing « is so far away from reception that you need a golf car to get to it . We were given the room furthest away on the 3 rd floor with no lift . Some of the staff was pleasant and helpful but the receptionist on arrival did not want to hear nothing and kept blaming us . They send you a taxi for the airport 5 min away that costs the same money as going thru the whole of Bangkok ! If you want to charge your phone in your room don’t forget to come with an extension lead ! As there is no plugs on the bedside , not very practical when you have apnea and need to plug your sleeping device . Beach was awful and dirty , they don’t clean it . Full of plastic and algues . The breakfast is well worth it tho !
