Veggera Beach Hotel

Please note this review is more relevant to couples with young children. We stayed here with our 10 month old. The hotel rooms are nice and we had plenty of space. They also had a kettle for us at no extra charge. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was great as the beach was right opposite which offered loungers and umberella for €15 a day. We opted of this over the pool as there was no shade around either pool and at 32 degrees that was way too hot for baby. The food options were acceptable but not amazing. Many supermarkets nearby to get bits of baby like nappies, wipes and purées. I would stay again, however definitely recommend a car to visit other areas as well especially for food etc.

This hotel was perfect. It was in Perissa. It was walking distant to shopping restaurants and beach Complimentary breakfast was delish! Staff was pleasant and helpful. I had a wonderful stay. Bar and pool were pleasant. Thank u i hope to stay again!!

We arrived at midnight the receptionist was very welcoming and helped take the bags to our room.We had a room upgrade which I recommended as a lot of the basic rooms are lower than ground level. Be aware there are no lifts so steps up to top floors ! Pool area is nice with comfy beds however the pool is not heated we found the sea warmer at the end of October. The location was excellent for beach shops and restaurants. There is also a large carpark to the rear a short walk to reception.There is a gate onto the complex but this was locked during our stay. We stayed half board for 1 week. Restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good with usual hot and cold selections but needed more choice of cereals.Evening meals were huge though the choice was limited if you dont like fish. We swapped for lunch twice to eat out on the night which is a handy option. Would have been 5 star review but our patio area had no sun due to its location or view and our neighbour was sat next to us there is no screen. We also found the drinks in the bar pricey G and T at €11and cocktails at €16 beers ok at €6 However a great place to chill out after visiting some of the busy attractions. Tip check out the cruise ship time table before visiting Thira it can be very busy with 5 boat loads visiting at a time all rushing around due to there limited time on this lovely island.

Overall, very disappointed. The Airport transport we booked from The Hotel could only fit 1/3 of our luggage Even though we had clearly notified then about what we would bring. When we arrived at the hotel, we received a room that was not what we had booked. It looked like a Double Economy, while we had booked a Superior Tripple room. In addition, the baby crib that was provided was broken not usable. The receptionist told us that they were fully booked and could not give us a crib that was usable that day. Consequently, we barely slept that night as there were no room for everyone in the small bed, which was also squeeky. The following day, we got a new room with an ok crib, but the room was still not the standard that was advertised. The room was dusty. The shower head and the sink had mold on it. The bathroom was cleaned by just spraying water from The showerhead on the toilet and the floors. Not to mention the underwear full of poop that we found in the closet (I almost had to throw up). As for the facilities. The pool was not heated and was cold (lot holder than all other pools we have tested), even though it was 40 celcius outside at the time. The Breakfast was poorly organized, the logistics was at a level one could expect from a 7 year old. The food was not impressive at all and is what I would expect from a 2 star hotel, not even close to a 4 star hotel standard. As for the positive sides, we had a decent ocean view and the location was practically at the beach.

Complexe très sympa, grande chambre, petit terrasse. Piscines agréables même si un peu fraîche parfois surtout quand il fait chaud dehors. Insonorisation un peu juste avec les voisins surtout s’ils mettent la musique un peu fort. Juste très dommage que l’hôtel possède une plage privée avec transat et parasol non compris dans le prix de la chambre… 200m de marche et on trouve facilement un plagiste plus sympa avec accès gratuit (il faut jouer le jeux de prendre qqch à boire ou manger)

This is more a review of the hotel staff The hotel team were friendly and helpful. There were a few things we did not like and they tried to help offering a transfer to a sister hotel. We accepted the transfer after 1 night. The restaurant team were great, explained each dish and made suggestions on how to eat the local starters. Negative is the meals too long to come out the kitchen (dinner was 2 hours as we had to wait almost approx 1 hour for the main). Breakfast was varied and everyone was really engaging ( no wait) If would not recommend full board or half board as the menu is very limited. There are so many places close by you could eat out (better choice) for less. The hotel itself was ok, two pools lose and the beach directly opposite the hotel. Drinks were fairly expensive €14+ for a cocktail, €4.50 for a 250ml coke 😮 The room we were given felt like an economy room, the bed couldn't have been a queen. The room was paint some time ago but they left paint marks on the floor, fridge and furniture. The parking behind the hotel is a public parking used by beach go'ers and surrounding hotels so it's difficult to get a space.

Lovely location. Lots of restaurants and bars - everywhere comes alive at night. The hotel itself is lovely, 2 beautiful pools and lovely staff. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the rooms were not cleaned daily and the meal options for the week became a bit boring. Otherwise a great place to stay

Piscine un peu verte sur les parois, abord de piscine a besoin d 'un bon nettoyage, chambre convenable (attention pas d'eau douce sur le réseau d'eau).Restaurant ne considère pas du tout les gens en pension,service tres bien désorganisé, ils préfèrent privilégier la quantité plutôt que la quantité . Les personnes a l'accueil très courtois.

Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, Zimmer sauber und ruhig gelegen. Abzug für Badezimmer, etwas im die Jahre gekommen. Ganzes Hotel sehr sauber und absoluter Pluspunkt-Strand direkt vor dem Eingang

Super hôtel avec tout le confort requis et très spacieux. Entouré de multiples restaurants et petit marché en bas.

We had a fantastic stay at the Veggera Hotel. It's in a beautiful location, right on the seafront. It was so easy to get from our room to the sunbeds on the beach - it only took a minute! It was the first time we'd ever encountered a beach with black sand - and of all the beaches on Santorini this is definitely the best! The room and whole hotel complex was tastefully designed in white and blue Cycladic colours, and the selection of food at the restaurant was largely excellent. There's also a nice selection of shops to visit for souvenirs and, if you fancy a challenge, walk up to Ancient Thera from the hotel. It's not for the faint-hearted and will take about 45-60 mins in total, but it's well worth the trek! We would definitely come again and will be sure to recommend the Veggera Hotel to our friends.

Unfortunately the room was given to us, not having enough space for 4 people comfortably. It was a bit difficult situation for a family to spend a holiday for 7 days. While the Hotel was claiming to be too busy due to peak time, so they can't offer a better room.

Everything was absolutely wonderful, and the staff made us feel so incredibly welcome it brought a huge smile to my face every time I spoke to them

Wir haben jetzt im Oktober Zeit im Veggera Hotel verbracht. Der Strand war herrlich leer, so dass man immer Platz auf einer der kostenlosen Liegen hatte. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Die Auswahl super. Die Mitarbeitenden des Hotels über alle Maßen freundlich und zugewandt bei jeglichen Anliegen.

The hotel is in a fabulous location just across the road from the beach. When we arrived we received a lovely welcome from the staff, and throughout our stay. Very helpful with information and organising our transfers. Loved the breakfast too.

John at the front desk does an amazing job helping guests with check in and also with suggestions on places to visit.

The hotel is in a fabulous location just across the road from the beach. When we arrived we received a lovely welcome from the staff, and throughout our stay. Very helpful with information and organising our transfers. Loved the breakfast too.

Ein Hotel direkt am Strand. Angenehme Unterkunft in kleinen Appartements. Gutes leckeres Essen. Vorallem wer Fische. liebt. Hat aber auch europäische Küche. Empfehlung September/Oktober. Da weniger Leute und Temperatur immer noch ok. 15-20 Grad

The hotel was great and very nice guys who's working in the reception and the drinks was tasty in the bar but a little bit expensive and the breakfast didn't match the pictures, otherwise it was good. I recommend it 👍
