The pool was closed for repairs and wotif did not inform. However breakfree did let me know about 5 days prior to my visit. At that stage it was too late to make other arrangements. The staff at the hotel were however exceptional pleasant cheerful and kind and did upgrade us to make up for the issue with the pool

If you want a "brand new" resort this is not it, but it is clean and tidy, spacious rooms, great balconies... the pool and spas are amazing and everything is within reach (a quick walk over the road) to Bulcock Beach - a perfect place to holiday!!

Have stayed many times and always a treat. Cant wait until the pool area is completed and it will be perfect once again.

Views are great . Pool area has been recently re done so if looking fresh . Pool was heated and there are 2 large spas . Check in person was nice but there was a difference person upon check out and they seemed unfriendly. Inside the units are very very tired . Hasn’t been touched since the 90s by the looks , especially the bathrooms . So I consider it quite expensive for the quality you are getting. You are paying for the location only. Even though we paid for Ocean view you can only see the ocean from the balcony not from the inside of the unit. So the unit itself felt quite small. From the second bedroom that’s at the back of the unit there was quite a lot of street noise as this was probably built before double glazing and the noise just comes through the small window. All units are probably different though so some might be better. We had a two bedroom unit on the eighth floor of the tower. It was considered ocean view but again you could only see the ocean from the balcony not the kitchen or the living room.

Perfect space for us to stay with our toddler. The pool area is gorgeous and our room worked out great. It was so handy having laundry facilities in our apartment and our son loved the outside spa bath. We also loved the fact we had a vacuum cleaner in our room to keep our space clean and tidy. Would definitely love to come back! Thank you!

We booked the rooftop one bedroom overlooking the pool with views over the river and ocean glimpses. First check in was quick and easy. Room 70 was spotless with plenty of cutlery etc for a couple. I would regard the bed as a medium softness. In regards to the rest of the apartment it is well appointed with a comfortable lounge, large tv, full kitchen and a very spacious shower. The rooftop has a hot tub along with bbq, sink, table and outdoor sun beds. The amenities were great and I could only describe the pool as amazing. I should note there is a huge choice of restaurants within the block the hotel sits on.

Property was great, nice and quiet despite works on the pool. Staff were very friendly. My only complaint would be the extremely strong air fragrance in the lobby and the rooms upon arrival. Other then that our stay was great!

Whilst the room was clean and property is in a great location. The room had its own kitchen which had just enough mix match of cups/plates/bowls. Little cooking facilities. The worst was the hike to the pool - down to the bottom car park around to the left up another lift down the corridor around the corner to the opposite side of the complex. I was told in February there was work being done on the pool and when I rang to confirm I was reassured all work would be complete by March, but they didn’t say what year. Work is still in train and at the rate the staff are going will not be complete before Easter. Needless to say we were a little disappointed and probably won’t be back.

The staff were very helpful here. We had booked a the night deal and were called directly by the resort to inform us the pool was unavailable due to maintenance. The room even we arrived was clean, spacious and modern. However the pool was under more construction than we had expected. The fence unfortunately blocking the view we were expecting. In speaking with them the next morning about moving to another room, the staff were excellent. Moving us to a close room that gave us a better view at no extra cost, the room being an upgrade with an extra bedroom. Not as modern, but just as nice. On the last day we decided to stay a night longer. With one phone call we were given another night at the same rate we had originally paid. Great friendly staff, service peaceful area, with many options when it comes to cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place to stay,room i was in was immaculate couldnt fault the cleanliness fantastic place to go with family covers everything, dont really need to drive anywhere cafes restaurants and ice cream is sorted beach is just a short scroll across the road shops surrounding the joint

The room did have some water damage. However, was very comfortable, had all the amenities needed. Bed was comfy and view was amazing! Our room was clean and tidy. We even witnessed our spa being cleaned and refilled. All the Staff we interacted with were lovely and friendly. It was close to the esplanade and the sunday markets and walking distance to so may resturants, bars and cafes. Will stay again!

Location was perfect. Close to cafes and beach. Perfect view. Kitchen was clean but oven trays had been left covered in alfoil. Cupboards and drawers were stocked adequately. Stops there. Overall it is very dirty and very run down. Mould in apartment at DANGEROUS levels. Two asthmatics suffered ongoing breathing difficulties due to this. Windows were closed on first night but the mould was so bad the two people had very bad asthma all night. They are still recovering. Windows open less than 10cm, some no longer opened due to being stuck. Window frames were dusty/cobwebs. No windows in laundry, toilet, bathroom nor en-suite. Tan couches were so filthy that high touch areas were brown with dirt/grime. I covered couches with spare sheets as they were so gross. ALL doors and high touch areas were dirty/grimy. The floor tiles were literally black with dirt - felt grimy/sticky underfoot. The broom closet was stuffed with junk. There was a broom but nothing to sweep mess up with. The three bedroom units overlook the pool and rooftops of the other units. This is not shown in the photos. The photos show craftily angled shots of the view. Old resorts can still be clean. I cleaned some grime to see if it was cleanable and yes, it was. Only thing clean here is the bedsheets. It is an unhealthy place to stay. Don’t do it.

Cleaning was substandard, all aircon vents covered in dust stained ceiling where the aircon vented into to bedroom. No exaust fans in the bathrooms. The ensuite shower over bath is unsafe for anyone climbing out. Cupboard in the kitchen full of out of date unused food from previous tenants. The "windows" in hallways are only screens so any breeze results in galeforce winds under the entry door, maybe fine in summer but not mid July. Beds comfy, but only made with a single sheet. No blanket....again, fine for summer but not mid winter. Layer of dust on the lampshade, basically lazy housekeeping. Not worth the money paid, wont stay again with so many other choices in Caloundra.

The dishes were dirty when we got there, the pillows were dirty, the smell wasn’t the best either was the dead cockroach on the floor. Apart from that it was ok

Excellent service from the reception staff, great location with easy walking access to the beach and restaurants. The rooms are getting a bit dated and are in need of painting and refurbishing. The mattress in our room had certainly seen better days.

Where to start. Our first room was atrocious. We checked in late and went straight for dinner. When we arrived back to our room, I noticed a smell, after 30min my breathing was restricted and I had a headache. I turned the lights on and noticed black mold around the air-conditioning vents and on the ceilings, the floor was also damp in area's. It was 10pm. I went to the reception area, no one there. I called the after hours number, spoke to a lady who advised there was nothing they could do until 8am the next day, when reception opened. Obviously I advised that this was not good enough, the room was affecting my health and I couldn't stay in it. She was not empathetic at all, and could not help until 8am. I asked if they would reimburse me for the cost if anither room, at a different hotel, the answer was no. I went back to my room, and told my wife and two children that they were not going to help until 8am. There was one bedroom without air-conditioning, and little mold. My wife and kids slept in there. I couldn't, i stayed on the balcony for the entire night, getting no sleep. I called WOTIF, initially you guy's were helpful and empathetic. Offered to give me vouchers as compensation. Then I was transferred to a very unhelpful, inconsiderate person who did not want to help.. The following day, at 8am, I politely advised of my dissatisfaction with regards to the service and respect i was afforded as their customer. Still no vouchers from WOTIF..

We enjoyed our second stay at Break Free Grand Pacific Resort in Caloundra. Break Free Grand Pacific Resort is located a really short walk away from Caloundra shops and restaurants. The pool and spa area is really nice and they are a lovely temperature. The view from our appointment was amazing. We did notice that the carpets and mats in our apartment were stained in places. Overall we will differently stay at Grand Pacific Resort next time we holiday in Caloundra.

Enjoyed our stay right before Christmas. Great location across from the beach, water view and plenty of dining options close by. It was just easy.
