Overall it is a good place to stay. An affordable option for darling harbour, and within approx 10 minute walk to trains and ferry options. Could it be better? Yes - but you would expect to pay more too. The room is comfortable and spacious and clean. The kitchen was equipped with the basics and handy for us travelling with a toddler. Meant we could have meals in the room as well. There are a lot of bad reviews and I don’t think they’re fair. For a good location, standard & comfortable room, this suits well. The pool area is great along with the little gym. We would stay again on return to Sydney. Small con but easily rectified was the towels/house keeping. We weren’t always given fresh towels but easily solved. Friendly staff and they happily stored our luggage when we arrived early. Worth it for the price (when we booked it was significantly cheaper than anything else in the darling harbour area - especially as an apartment style vs hotel room)

The good: amazing location, spacious apartment, great value for money, great welcome amenity (free parking) as an Expedia silver member, comfortable bed, convenient parking, great bars, restaurants and vivid festival nearby. The bad: tv in bedroom didn’t work, kitchen smelt like burnt food from previous occupant, door to balcony didn’t lock, balcony had rubbish on ground (chips) from previous occupant, pool not warm enough this time of year, not enough towels in bathroom.

Was a great location with lots within walking distance, Rooms are a great size and had everything i needed. The sauna and pool area was not up the standards of the other Adina properties i have stayed at. The Sauna didnt even heat up.

The location was great and the staff member that served me was wonderful. However the property is quite run down in places such as the roof above the pool and the pool itself, sauna was broken. We had a two bedroom interconnected room which were fine with nice views but again, alittle run down- with a broken door on the fridge and some fruit still spilled on the carpet from the guest before.

Location on darling Harbour was excellent. Sound proofing worked. Parking easy. Staff were very helpful and let us check in early. Checkout was 11am which is great!

Great place to stay, nice and clean and close to all amenities ! Only downfall is parking is limited and prebooked with your registration number which makes it very hard if your getting a rental car (and you don’t know the rego)

This property is in a prime spot and the amenities and staff are first class. The ease of getting around the city from this location is brilliant and with the options made at your doorstep (King Street Wharf), it is a 10 out of 10 as a place to stay. Room 110 has an enormous balcony and the view of Darling Harbour especially at night is one not to miss. The only small issues with our particular stay is that in the hallways and entrances, it smells of dampness and the carpets may be overdue to be replaced and the carpark scanners are not exactly easy to use unless you get out of your car or have inspector gadget with you but otherwise a brilliant place and we will be back to stay again soon.

Housekeeping not to standard. First day , there was fluff lying in Bathroom floor. Second day same fluff still there. Obviously housekeeping hasn’t been done. Left pizza box in rubbish, didn’t get removed. Welcome card with wrong name. Advise reception but don’t seem interested. Advise reception about lack of tea bags and coffee and sugar. Milk wasn’t replenished. Mirrors in bathroom had white cream which didn’t get washed/ wiped down. Missing glasses. Advise reception. Comment that is okay.

Room was clean upon arrival, but found the cleaners forgot to empty the bin under the sink, the room was very run down and needs upgrading, toilet roll holder was broken and there was water dripping from a vent when the Aircon was on in the bedroom, when we got back from watching the fireworks we found a cockroach in the room. When I asked to get the room cleaned, the cleaners did everything except for stocking up more toilet paper and vacuuming the floor. The view was spectacular though.

I love Adina Apartments and this one is in the most perfect spot for anything that you would like to do around Darling Harbour and the City. However, it does need some renovations in the rooms, my room the power points next to the wall were coming away, the tv didn't work properly and the outtake and air vent in bathrooms were awfully dirty and I mean dirty, the dishwasher desperately needed a clean and there wasn't a coffee pod machine which was very frustrating as it's nice to have a coffee before venturing out for the day. My daughters room next door, her fidge froze everything even though it was turned down to a 2, and she had some trouble with her lights when entering her room. It is a great place to stay but renovations would make this so much better. We have stayed in Adina Apartments in Europe so I was expecting the same here but it is definitely different, even the quality of the crockery and cutlery were very poor to be honest. But overall it is a good place to stay and I would absolutely go back and stay there again, just hope the cleaning improves.

I only had 2 issues with the hotel, that is it is dated and the bed that we had was broken and needed to be replaced, but they moved our rooms and was advised that the hotel is getting a renovation over the coming months, the other issue i had was the washing machine was on its way out and when i had the maintenance man come to the room i found him to be very abrupt and not willing to listen to my issues, but he came back and replaced the washing machine with another one. After those couple of initial issues everything else was perfect.

Room was very clean, had a great view of the 9pm fireworks and King st Wharf. The balcony is a great feature for outside fresh air and to take in the city sounds and views. Beds were 2x king single beds combined, comfortable, but single king mattress would have been better. Would definately recommend for a weekend getaway. Has a great location to Restaurants and Wharfs if going on a harbour cruise or out for a stroll along the harbour or to a bar or club for the evening.

We haven’t stayed here for a few years. The new double sliding doors has made a significant difference in reducing the road noise. We had a third floor apartment and had a great view of the Saturday night fireworks from our balcony.

Adina hotel is an apartment building turned into a hotel. PRONS: It located in excellent Neiborhood- Darling Harbour of the best. (in my opinion is the best) Neiborhood in Sydney. so close to everything ! The room was spacious, and we had a balcony overlooked the part of a harbor, CONS:--outdated - screaming for a renovation.

We had a fire alarm at 3.30am one night of our stay. The fire exit sinage is not clear, leaving us stuck and locked in the stairwell until we looked around for the exit through a basement. We where not greeted by any staff. No fire warden. Not even someone at the exit point to direct or meet patrons. We met in the foyer and were just told to go back to our rooms in over a speaker. The night manager or staff shoulf have met us and reassured us before we returned to our rooms. All the guests could talk about the next day was that we were lucky this was either a small fire or not one at all (we were never advised) as there would most certainly have been casualties. The Adina's fire plan and lack of communication in an emergency is completely below basic standards. Unfortunately, the parts of the accommodation I enjoyed and would have recommended were over shadowed by the events during the emergency evacuation.
We had a fire alarm at 3.30am one night of our stay. The fire exit sinage is not clear, leaving us stuck and locked in the stairwell until we looked around for the exit through a basement. We where not greeted by any staff. No fire warden. Not even someone at the exit point to direct or meet patrons. We met in the foyer and were just told to go back to our rooms in over a speaker. The night manager or staff shoulf have met us and reassured us before we returned to our rooms. All the guests could talk about the next day was that we were lucky this was either a small fire or not one at all (we were never advised) as there would most certainly have been casualties. The Adina's fire plan and lack of communication in an emergency is completely below basic standards. I advise you make your own exit plan so you can be assured safety in case you need to evacate the property in an emergency. My stay was amazing. It was me and my husband’s anniversary and I was treated really well and given wine, chocolate and a lovely card congratulating us. It was very sweet and I got a room upgrade which was really nice. Service and room were great. Thank you for giving me an amazing experience with my husband.

When booking I recommend a one bedroom apartment for 2 people. I booked a studio room initially. John on reception organised a free upgrade…he could not do enough for us. I cannot recommend the staff, hotel and location high enough.

We had stayed at the property previously last year and found it a great stay. Perfect location, reasonably priced. Room was spacious and clean. This time we were a little disappointed. Given we’d stayed before assumed our details would be on file and would earn a bit of a nod to a perk. We booked with relatives same surname- they were given a bigger room- there was no milk for tea/coffee, had to ask and only had 4 hangers in wardrobe (2 people for a 5 night stay) 3 days in had to ask for room to be cleaned and fresh towels- they only made the beds and changed the towels- bathroom floor didn’t get swept/ vacuumed. It’s such a small space wouldn’t have taken too much extra time. Was disappointed with our stay because of this. Still a convenient location and staff are good.

Room phones didn't work and couldn't be fixed in a week's time. Staff is not well trained. We arrived before check-in time, dropped off our luggage, and walked around for 4 hours in the summer heat. When we returned to the Adina hot and tired, they assured us that the rooms were ready soon. But they didn't say anything more for an hour, until we inquired again and learned that the rooms had been ready for some time. Staff contradictory re: free daily milk (it's a thing, it seems down under) and then not delivering it or a quart when promised. While staff was helpful in suggesting the nearby Barangaroo stop to get a ferry, they forgot to suggest we use a credit card to pay (no need to get a local transit card). The transit system on weekends limit your costs to $8 or so, which meant we could have ridden all of the Sydney transit for a dollar more than we paid for a single ferry fare. The other weird thing was hailing a cab. The staff called one for us, but then the driver refused to take us because it was a short fare. Staff later said that this was a common problem. We ended up using Didi as a more guaranteed (and probably cheaper) transportation mode.

The customer service was poor. Getting in and out the property with parking was hard because they’d never answer the intercom. The room was dirty and very old the only good thing about it was the shower had good pressure. I requested a good room with a view and table with two chairs on the patio. Got two chairs and a room with another apartment view right in front of me. When id call the front desk I got attitude rather then help. I’m not a confrontational person and am not rude or unkind so when i received that service it threw me.

Central location right on King Street Wharf plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Captain Cook harbour cruises from the wharf. Nearest train & light rail at Wynyard just 12mins walk. Full laundry and kitchen facilities plenty of room to relax also a large balcony. Recommended

Next door to aquarium and able to catch ferry to Taronga Zoo from the dock just near motel. Nice cafe downstairs. Room was showing its age but it was clean, just grubby from normal wear and tear. Bed was very comfortable, we got upgraded on arrival which was very nice.

Balcony view is beautiful, can see all darling harbour! Very clean room very comfy beds and the sauna pool and gym is great to enjoy! Full kitchen ( although I didnt cook) Darling Harbour walk to dining and all the restaurants are just 50 metres away!

This hotel was closed for refurbishment we were transferred to The Adina Apartment Hotel Town Hall Kent Street but the apartment was so nice wanted to review. Clean, spacious good kitchen, comfortable bed.
