Parking was a little tight

We liked the convenience, friendly staff, cleanliness, easy parking, dining options etc. What would be better is if a lift is installed to help older guests to the upper levels particularly when carrying heavy bags.

Great location for an appointment I had. Restaurant was a lovely bonus as I was tired from travelling all day. Breakfast was a simple buffet that did the trick.

Lovely motel, a little hard to find parking if you check in late but the rooms were clean

The accommodations were very good however there is not enough parking with the complex. I couldn't park my car anywhere that I had to park outside and on the available side streets near by.

Great little gem if you have a car & need parking! Rooms were basic but had everything you need breakfast was great & included in the price. only thing to note - their are stairs to the rooms - not ideal with luggage but would def stay again & recommend to family / friends .. bed was super comfy

Good clean roomy accomodation, comfy beds decent sitting area, nice Brekky reasonably priced. Only issue is not enough parking we came back late after a show and just managed to squeeze in others after us not so lucky

Hotel is conveniently located north of the city in walking distance to train stations for easy transport throughout Sydney train network. Hotel is vintage but comfortable. Good under cover parking on site. Rooms are quiet and clean. Balcony rooms have views to Chatswood and city. Strong hot shower. If you have driven to Sydney and need accommodation for a few days this hotel is a handy location.

The resturant was great the food was very nice with great service. The rooms were spacious and modern. The down side was the limited parking if you arrive late and when staying on the top floor theres no lift to get heavy luggage up.

Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Room is a good size and spotlessly clean. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Bathroom is clean and the shower is great. Lots of powerpoints, bedside light and reading light. No road noise or guest noise even though the motel was full. Onsite parking some undercover and its free. This is our third stay and will be back again.

The room was tidy a clean, However mould is present in the grout in the shower area, warranting attention

Bathroom not spotless but overlooked , clean enough for me. We had a wonderful night and the breakfast ( although not warm enough) was a good variety and well presented.

I booked this place for my elderly mum to stay for one night while visiting in Sydney.. The room was great, modern, clean, king sized bed, good air con and big tv. She enjoyed the buffet breakfast. The only issue was there are no lifts, so getting up and down the stairs was difficult for her, but the staff were good and helped her with her suitcase. Next time I would just need to request a ground floor room for her. Overall, a great little hotel and would definitely book again.

We have stayed here several times. Road noise very loud Mould on shower ceiling Skirting boards very dusty Prefer the rooms at the rear overlooking the bush.

The room was spotless, quiet and with a lovely view from the balcony. The breakfast was a generous buffet style and available for a long time. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall we had a great stay and will certainly stay again. Thanks.

Room was comfortable enough, fairly basic. The little juliet balcony is a nice touch, but the 'garden' could do with some attention. Bathroom needs a thorough scrub and deep steam cleaning of all surfaces.

The room was clean, a good size & beds very comfortable but we found it stuffy at night as we couldn’t leave either the bathroom window or glass sliding door on balcony open as there were no screens on them & mosquitoes were prevalent at times. The restaurant was also disappointing as it was unexpectedly closed the night of our arrival despite being advertised as open and then I discovered a piece of metal in my scrambled eggs at breakfast.

Lovely, light-filled room with a balcony overlooking trees. Despite the proximity to the highway (which is also very handy) the sound of frog calls and bird life is still present. Had an issue with the TV which was fixed promptly by polite staff. Only negative was the restaurant wasn't open when I needed dinner, despite being within the listed hours. But good rates for a comfortable stay. Will definitely return.

Comfortable beds, great size room. Bathrooms on the smaller size but fabulous water pressure in shower. Good coffee at bar and surprisingly good food at the restaurant.

Convenient location, Clean,well thought out accomodation, Internet worked well, 4 usb charging points within power points (great idea- 2 near the bed and 2 near the desk area) Shampoo and hand wash smelt amazing, great water pressure in shower, Bed firm and super comfortable. Would stay again.

Decent little spot, mainly based on “value”. Guest WiFi internet is shocking, and not even able to watch streaming services on my devices nor cast. Constant network drops. Restaurant food was ok. Would have been nice to feel more welcomed by staff. Room was a good size, and overall clean but felt dated considering there was meant to be a recent update renovation.

While it was convenient having free parking, the bathroom fan was very noisy, as it was when we last stayed here 3 years ago. In addition the wifi was very faint so could not be used. Even the bars on our mobile phones, after resorting to mobile data, were only 1 or 2 bars. While the restaurant provided an adequate buffet breakfast, the “hot” food was only luke warm, perhaps having been turned off too soon.

Killara Hotel is now very lovely after its much needed renovation and update. The rooms are beautifully fitted out in a nice simple manner - nice bedding (if rather firm), suitable lighting and appealing feel.

Staff are exceptionally polite courteous and warm. The gentleman at the front desk carried my bag up the stairs then later when I left, into the boot. Breakfast was delicious. Room big clean comfortable modern. I stay here on every visit

On the day of checkout 9:20am the cleaner opened the door with their key whilst I was in the shower and my 10 year old daughter watching tv. The cleaner entered using their key and did not announce their presence, he got a shock when he saw someone inside then turned around and left

Had a hiccup checking in but was immediately sorted without any hassle. Great staff and close enough to everything without being noisy.

Easy to book, easy parking, good facilities, except they couldn’t fix the cold tap in the shower for the nights we were there, and the cleaning staff left the room unlocked after cleaning. Breakfast was included, but was difficult to get the kitchen to understand how people wanted their eggs cooked, and if you wanted barista coffee, that was an extra cost…..

Kali the manager, is very considerate of guests and has been extremely helpful when I needed to make an unexpected change regarding our stay. All the staff from front of house to service and cleaning and restaurant have been exceptional. The food at the Jacaranda restaurant at dinner is top quality and breakfast is amazing with a good mixture of hot food, cereal and fruit with something for all dietary requirements. A great way to start the day. All the staff seem to know how to make a great Soy Latte and another coffee. The bed and pillows are really comfortable. There is plenty of hot water for your shower. Our room is very neat and clean. The air-conditioning does a great job of heating the room during these recent cold and wet days. We have found our room to be extremely quiet with no road noise whatsoever and the sound proofing in the Jacaranda Restaurant is unbelievable. You won't hear any outside noise. So don't worry about this hotel being on a main road. We have enjoyed our stay and are extending it a little longer with no hesitation.

The reception man was very uncooperative, rigid and unwilling to assist. We had three nights of booking and wanted to make some changes to the booking but he was not willing to co-operate until we showed him the conditions of our booking. If we hadn't checked online and relied on him, we would have been taken advantage of. He also consistently was walking by the open buffet area during the breakfast times making it uncomfortable for guests.

I’d like to start off by saying the room was absolutely beautiful and the only reason we rated the staff a two was simply because of the one manager, everyone else we came into contact with was absolutely lovely and deserves the praise. We arrived slightly too early for check at about 12.30 ish, (check in at 2) my partner asked if the room was ready and he very abruptly said yes it was ready but we have to pay extra to be allowed in now, I normally would expect this anyway however the way he came across was very hostile and seemed like he didn’t like us too much? We said that was absolutely fine we will just sit around and wait with all of our suitcases (two very large suitcases and a small one as well and 2 back packs) in the only waiting area they had in the restaurant. It would have been nice of them to offer us to just be let into the room since we had just come a long journey and had so much stuff with us and it really wouldn’t have changed anything on their side if they let us in earlier, it just would have made us feel a lot more welcome than the manger did to say the least. I asked for some change for the drying machine and the entire conversation was just him expecting me to know that the one I was trying to use was a brand new one and not plugged into the back, how would I have known? He rudely shoved the change into my hand and didn’t say a word, I was shocked at how he had actually treated me. It was incredibly rude and I would never stay again.

Clean, comfortable room and convenient location.

Nice place to stay for a couple of nights. The location is very convenient for me and my room was delightfully quiet. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for one night. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. I had the big breakfast, one of the best breakfasts that I have had in Australia, my partner had the eggs benefict which was also very good. Compliments to the breakfast chef.

Such great value for money. The hot buffet breakfast was an unexpected bonus and really lifted the whole stay. I highly recommend it as a comfortable, affordable option just outside the city.

The beds are extremely comfortable and the layout of the room helps you to set yourself up well if you are staying for a few days. Bread and pastries at breakfast are dry and hard. You get the impression that they are stale even if they are not.

Rooms were neat and clean, only part was in my room the toilet roll holder was in a terrible location. However, everything else was great, the restaurant meals were excellent, had the best steak I have had in ages and I made sure the chef knew plus a good wine selection to go with it. Would stay here again, no problem.

Although the breakfast was included in rate, it was disappointing. “Hot food” was very cold & therefore not maintained at correct temperature. Perhaps staff need to ensure lids are kept closed & check that the warmers are working correctly.

Convenient for our needs, shame the dining room was closed for 2 evenings that we were not aware of because of the Public Holidays? Not sure, but we could have been notified when booking & planned for this better. It turned out ok, but we missed Eddie Swims opening act to NRL Grand Final because we had to go out for dinner. Not the end of the World, but I believe he was better than Snoop Dawg.....LOL

We had to book accommodation due to medical reasons to be nearby a hospital. I chose this property due to the advertised restaurant as we arrived fairly late the night. When we arrived, there was a note stuck that the restaurant was closed for a couple weeks over the holiday season. Why was that not mentioned on the website or the booking confirmation or anything? We had to buy something to eat at a nearby servo , nothing else available.
