Nice 1 bedroom apartment with sky+ Lakefront, heated pool and 2 hot tubs. The indoor hot tub was nice but could do with a clean. The water was quite dirty and It had a thick line of black mould around it which damaged our swimsuits. I did let reception know so hopefully they will sort it. Housekeeping came in whilst we were out and did a good tidy and washed our cups which was nice of them.

The apartment was clean and tidy but a little dated. Beds were comfortable and the small kitchen had everything we needed to self cater. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and offered advice on local attractions. The heated outdoor pool was perfect and the area well kept.

Pretty cool 2 bedroom apartment right beside the lake for a decent price. Cool hot water pool, outdoor spa, indoor spa and you can use the facilities at the newer motel next door but on the same property, they have a grotto, which is like a spa inside a dark cave with lights and a few little waterfalls etc , a sauna and another hot pool.

We had a lovely stay at the Oasis. We had amazing views from our clean 2 bedroom unit. The front of house staff are really friendly and hospitable. We also appreciated the clean hot pool attached to this motel. An added bonus is that you get access to the next door hotels facilities as well- pools, restaurant, bar, grotto and sauna as well. We have been staying here since 1978 and have loved every visit. Would highly recommend to fellow travellers.

Great spot. Retro feel. Old but clean. Pool could be a bit warmer - I was hoping for a soak but it was not quite that kind of heat. But great for kids. Wifi was not good though. Not sure if that usual or only for the night I was there. Worth checking if this is important to you. Quiet and very scenic.

Loved the heated pool in winter! Only negative there wasn't enough parking and we had to park elsewhere when we got there as everyone was going out for dinner or the bar next door so when we checked in at 5pm there was no parking for us. We did move our car back later on that evening when space freed up

Lovely position, right on lake front. Great spot to watch the sunset. Two bedrooms - lovely comfy beds. Enjoyed our stay, everything there we needed and room was clean. However motel was dated, in need of renovation/decorating. Bathroom needed better lighting. Love Taupo and would definitely stay here again.

The room was very dark and dated, the couch was old and needed a deep clean. One of the bedrooms had a leak and we were moved to the Millennium. Staff were very kind and helpful. The heated pool was nice although the floor needed a vacuum.

I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The property felt more like a campground than a hotel, and there was little to no staff presence even reception was unattended during the day. Our room swipe card failed to work almost daily, requiring constant replacements, which was both inconvenient and frustrating. The condition of the room was also below standard, with heavily stained carpet throughout. When we moved the coffee and dining tables, we discovered red stains that had clearly been concealed rather than cleaned. Given the reputation of the group, we had expected something more refined and memorable. The highlight of our stay was the view, and we sincerely appreciated the efforts of the housekeeping staff, who kept our room tidy throughout. However, the hotel overall is in serious need of refurbishment and service improvements if it is to align with the standard of the Millennium Hotel next door.

Millennium staff at checkin were great ans assissted kindly when no wifi information was available in room. Room however lacked any warm bedding in main bedroom- kids room had approproate bedding. No spares available. Room full of dust, no surfaces had been wiped down. Poorly maintained room cosmetically. Beds comfortable Couch comfortable Heating in lounge good however arrived to an oil heater on high wedged between 2 material chairs! Good views from lakeview room.

The staff next door was top notch (at sister hotel,) The room layout was fantastic. Here is the downside;; room was so moldy it was hard to breathe. No air in bedroom off to the side. But they did borrow us a fan for the night. The pool outside are door was so dirty around it and no where to sit unless you had a poolside room. Pool was not anything like the picture. We went to the local store to get an air sanitizer spray.. that did help. Suggestion would be to pull out all the carpet please at least for health reasons!!

It was a lovely setting being right in the lakefront but the room did not look like the pictures on the website and there was a weird smell to the room upon entering. A little bit old and outdated, the queen bed was on wheels so moved alot and the harmonies did not work - which is essential in taupo winter with -3 degree mornings! Outdoor spa and pool was lovely though - such a good temperature for winter!

Property is in poor condition no maintenance or decorating done in years....dirty...mould...broken items...dirty dishes...bathroom flooded, due to broken shower head ...drain slow to drain so water builds up. Spa not hot so not operating. Absolutely disgusted that you steal peoples money to stay here. No reception as its managed by neighboring property....manager there was lovely and tried his best to help. You could see he was clearly embarrassed. Has compalaints daily....yet you are allowed to keep trading....shamefull!

I wonder if booking on expedia and thus getting a discount, means you automatically get given the most basic room. There were other rooms available but I go one with the sign light shining through the curtains all night, plus the light shining through the glass panel in the door. Apart from that, the location is excellent, the room was clean and the staff were nice.

Nice accommodation for families. Pillows uncomfortable and pull-out couch was painful to sit on when it’s just a couch..Needs a serious update! Very noisy, can hear people walking around and talking.

Cleanliness 10/10. Easy check in. However the walls between units are super thin so made going to sleep hard with the people next door up late. For the cost of the room compared to other hotels it was probably worth the money but next time i would stay somewhere with a bigger open plan room that was a bit quieter. If you feel the cold take extra blankets as there was only two very thin blankets on the bed.
Cleanliness 10/10. Easy check in. However the walls between units are super thin so made going to sleep hard with the people next door up late. We had a lake front unit which had a lovely view and I loved the sound of the water at night. Easy access/parking, staff lovely, love the use of the millennium pools. My only issue was that noise travels between units and a family across from us with a baby crying constantly during the night kept waking us up.

We'd booked a flat with lake view, and wow! Did it ever deliver! The flat itself was a bit run-down, but the view could not be beat, and more than made up for it. We made good use of the restaurant next door - they had a great breakfast spread, and a cozy bar with good food (best chicken tikka pizza I've ever had!), a great view and really amazing service. Oasis Beach Motel is located along a part of Lake Taupo where the beach is more stone than sand, so not entirely conductive for swimming, but it's right next to the promenade that takes you all the way down to the boat harbour, with several swimming options along the way.

The bed and pillows were terribly uncomfortable. The rooms could do with an update, but they were clean. There was a beautiful pool and you could order food or go to the restaurant next door, so that was handy.

We loved the lake view; the landscape and the environnement are increadible! The acces at the millenium facilities werer a big plus! We enjoyed the sauna and the pool everyday! There are two big issues that were very annoying for us... The bed are increadibly old and incorfotable! The mats are awfull. We had to sleep in the very little separated twin beds because the main bed hurted our back so much (I ended sleeping on the floor the first night...). My light little kid has been ok in it finally... The wifi is awfull too. It was more or less working one day on two... The staff is great and helpfull and try to help as much as they can... We enjoyed to walk on the long boardwalk 3 km trail and the beautifull sunset every night across our huge windows. The ducks were very friendly and fun to look at.
We loved the lake view; the landscape and the environnement are increadible! The acces at the millenium facilities werer a big plus! We enjoyed the sauna and the pool everyday! There are two big issues that were very annoying for us... The bed are increadibly old and incorfotable! The mats are awfull. We had to sleep in the very little separated twin beds because the main bed hurted our back so much (I ended sleeping on the floor the first night...). My light little kid has been ok in it finally... The wifi is awfull too. It was more or less working one day on two... The staff is great and helpfull and try to help as much as they can... The apartment was clean and tidy but a little dated. Beds were comfortable and the small kitchen had everything we needed to self cater. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and offered advice on local attractions. The heated outdoor pool was perfect and the area well kept.

I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The property felt more like a campground than a hotel, and there was little to no staff presence even reception was unattended during the day. Our room swipe card failed to work almost daily, requiring constant replacements, which was both inconvenient and frustrating. The condition of the room was also below standard, with heavily stained carpet throughout. When we moved the coffee and dining tables, we discovered red stains that had clearly been concealed rather than cleaned. Given the reputation of the group, we had expected something more refined and memorable. The highlight of our stay was the view, and we sincerely appreciated the efforts of the housekeeping staff, who kept our room tidy throughout. However, the hotel overall is in serious need of refurbishment and service improvements if it is to align with the standard of the Millennium Hotel next door.

Booked the hotel whilst attending a large public event. The booking I made stated payment was to be made at the hotel. I received a call advising if I didn’t make payment 2 days before they would cancel the room. I advised that I had planned to pay on arrival and the lady said “it’s because of people like you that we have to make these phone calls” and proceeded to advise that if I didn’t give my card number within the next 10 seconds she would cancel our booking. After taking my card number, she said that’s gone through and hung up on me. As for the room - positives first. It is positioned in an absolutely beautiful part with views of the Lake and very easy access with a balcony and table/chairs. The pool was really nice. Big pool and clean. The room however was disgraceful. I’ve been in 70 year old bach’s that are more modern and with better amenities. The shower didn’t have any pressure, the bedrooms were tiny with no extra blankets. Parking was an absolute nightmare and really challenging with a young baby. It was priced up there with some of the better hotels and I could have probably excused the dated decor and musky smell but the customer service was an absolute no no for me. If it wasn’t the global games and there were alternative options we would have gone ahead and cancelled. Understandably some translation is lost when using 3rd parties but some friendly explanation would have changed the whole experience. She even refused to give me her name. Never again

We wanted a family night away and we were looking forward to our stay. The photos on the site were better than actual place. Rooms were grotty and very dated. Our bedroom door wouldn’t shut, hairdryer broken and the potent aroma of a product to mask a musty smell was overpowering. Was not good for the allergies! The lady at reception was blunt to say the least (off putting) and rudely told me my payment wasn’t made…. I paid straight away and when I explained that I selected “pay at property’ on my booking I got told that I was wrong and that’s not their policy… well that’s the deal I did on the site so…. Made me feel pretty crap right from the start. My grand daughter was upset as she was so disappointed for her birthday treat. We all felt miserable and avoided being there as much as possible. So so gutted. We will NOT be returning. 😵💫😡. Feel a bit ripped off.

The view is amazing as we stayed in the lakeside room. The service was excellent and the staff was extremely nice. The sleeping experience was perfect too with a very good mattress, pillows and blankets. I will absolutely book with this hotel again in the future.

We loved the facility and all it had to offer, we will be back for more holidays. It felt like a resort, we loved the pool and beautiful planting being right next to the beach. Great having restaurants and shop with in walking distance the perfect location.

We had a lovely stay at the Oasis. We had amazing views from our clean 2 bedroom unit. The front of house staff are really friendly and hospitable. We also appreciated the clean hot pool attached to this motel. An added bonus is that you get access to the next door hotels facilities as well- pools, restaurant, bar, grotto and sauna as well. We have been staying here since 1978 and have loved every visit. Would highly recommend to fellow travellers.

We'd booked a flat with lake view, and wow! Did it ever deliver! The flat itself was a bit run-down, but the view could not be beat, and more than made up for it. We made good use of the restaurant next door - they had a great breakfast spread, and a cozy bar with good food (best chicken tikka pizza I've ever had!), a great view and really amazing service. Oasis Beach Motel is located along a part of Lake Taupo where the beach is more stone than sand, so not entirely conductive for swimming, but it's right next to the promenade that takes you all the way down to the boat harbour, with several swimming options along the way.

We have always enjoyed staying at the Oasis Beach Resort. It is the perfect place for a short break, situated right next to the lake with a wonderful hot pool and spa. The Millenium hotel right next door also has a wonderful restaurant.

Lovely set up but needs alot of updating. Front doors closed. Ran out of hotel next door. Not wheelchair friendly even on the ground floor. Steps and narrow paths. Could look amazing with fresh light paint and white nets. Looks and feels dirty.

We have stayed here before and loved it, which is why we came back for a second time, booking 4 units with our group. Unfortunately, this stay was quite stressful. The fire alarm in our unit kept randomly going off and stopping all evening—even though no one was even in the room—which made our neighbors in the next room glare at us, thinking it was our fault. To top it all off, we had to deal with this annoying beeping noise for nearly two hours late at night, making it impossible to sleep. That being said, we want to thank the staff who came out to help. They were very kind and polite, and they eventually managed to take the faulty unit down completely. It was a frustrating and sleepless ordeal for loyal returning guests, but we appreciate the friendly service at the end.

This a brilliant hotel in a brilliant location and in a brilliant tourist location. This is why we keep coming back. The hot pools are perfect, The restaurant is very good and the front of house staff are amazing. We had a large family group staying in different units and we all had a great time.
