We were not advised by the hotel or Expedia that staff were on strike until we checked in. No shuttle, no dining - pool however was open and nice. As we have difficulty mobilizing we were inconvenienced by no dining options and no shuttle. Had planned to largely eat at hotel and take shuttle downtown. Disappointing value for money in hotel we normally love.

This place was in perfect walking distance. Pool was indoor and outdoor and open late. Dog friendly and I met an amazing girl who has a concierge service that picks up and drops off your dog from the hotel, so owners could go on day trips or go to restaurants that don’t have a patio: Meg@waggintailswithmeg 4165093685.

We enjoyed the convenience of a short walk to Victoria harbour. The swimming pool was lovely and clean. New flooring throughout the room however the hallways were old carpeting and somewhat had an odour. Unfortunately we were given a room without a view or a balcony considering the hotel seemed not full. We would have given a 5 star rating if the view had been of the harbour instead of the road.

What a wonderful harbor view!!! Location was great, near Fisherman's Wharf and within walking distance of museums and Parliament. They also offered shuttle service to Chinatown. Beds were very comfortable, pool and spa were very nice. Negatives were balcony was too small to use, would only fit chairs sideways. Was too noisy: banging doors, people walking overhead. Had requested a top floor room, but got 2nd floor.

Unhappy with management staff. Failed to inform us prior to arrival there was a union staff strike. Even at the front desk we were not openly informed. They should have offered us a discount on our stay- no housekeeping/restaurant or shuttle. It was over $600 a night and absolutely not worth it. I am expecting some compensation for this.

We loved our stay at the Coast. We had to move from another hotel due to cancellation and the service at the Coast was outstanding! Everyone was so helpful, patient, and kind. They consistently offered/checked-in to see if there was anything else we needed. They also have a free shuttle to downtown, which is great if the weather isn't ideal and you don't feel like walking the 15 minutes to restaurants etc...

Friendly staff, breakfast included and walkable distance to coffee and thrifty. Short distance to drive to the parliament and downtown. I was there when their staff were on strike but I still got a really good service and was offered an additional free parking for our stay in their underground parking.

Despite having several conversations with the hotel staff leading up to our stay, we were informed there was a strike impacting the hotel - no housekeeping, no restaurant - hours before our stay. The strike had been going on for a month. We chose this hotel over staying with family/friends as we were running the RVM marathon and preferred ease. Choosing not to tell us was unacceptable. If the strike had started that day it would have been understandable. They did discount the room 30%, but clearly waited until after cancellation was possible to update us on the situation. We are very disappointed and angry. By the end of three days we had tons of garbage and recycling, no towels or coffee, and the parking was insecure. The halls were lined with other room’s garbage as clearly they had overflowed as well.

Wonderful location. Excellent restaurant. Free EV charging, though parking is rather expensive. We had an adjoining room and unfortunately we could hear the people next door through the adjoining door.

Everything was great except for the restaurant. Why offer crab cakes if you have to add shrimp to save on cost. The worst part was getting coffee to go for 2 people and having to pay $10 for 2 average cups of coffee. The coffee was horrible, compared to going to a shop and paying half the price. Overpriced and not good at all. Do not go to the restaurant for coffee at all, a total rip off.

Coast Victoria Hotel and Marina accommodated an early check-in that coinsided with my flight time arrival with zero hassle. The room with sleek, modern, and clean with a great ammentities like a microwave, fridge, safe and a cool Toto toilet bedit which was an awesome feature. Loved the lemongrass scent & quality of the Beekind hygiene products Coast provided. We had a beautiful view ocean harbourfront from our standing room balcony. We only ate breakfast daily at the hotel's Blue Crab restaurant, but the food selection, presentation were good, tasted delicious with reasonable prices and great service. We tried healthy breakfast of yogurt with berries and a muffin to crab cakes benny, but loved the cheese omelette with the whole wheat toast and delicious strawberry jam. The hotel concierge service was handy & convient, providing us with a discount coupon for the "Hop on Hop Off city bus tour, and several no charge rides to various downtown sites. Coast Marine Hotel is perfectly located along beautiful harbourfront, and is a close walk to Fisherman's Warf and it's many floating reataurants. The Orca Spirit Whale watching tour company and gift shop is located at back of the hotel which we used for an awesome 3 hour excursion. We had a great time & were lucky to see several humpback whales, a sea lion, a harbour seal, Eagle mates. We spent most afternoons chill-laxing at the ĺovely indoor-half outdoor pool and hot tub. Coast hotel staff are all fabulous & helpful.

Beautiful location, the industrial action affected some of the services but the room was very clean and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I think they should have lowered charges for the room considering the breakfast was not being offered and no turndown services for rooms. A continental option for food was available but was very limited.

We were not advised by the hotel or Expedia that staff were on strike until we checked in. No shuttle, no dining - pool however was open and nice. As we have difficulty mobilizing we were inconvenienced by no dining options and no shuttle. Had planned to largely eat at hotel and take shuttle downtown. Disappointing value for money in hotel we normally love.

The lobby could be brighter with more updated decor, but the rooms were large, modern and very clean with incredible views. The restaurant was stellar with amazing views of the inner harbor, warm friendly staff and excellent food. Main desk staff were wonderful. Nice fitness center but strange entry through the locker rooms and then indoor pool area. The indoor outdoor pool and large spa were clean and relaxing after a day of walking the town. We will be back with our kids!

We love staying here every time we come to Victoria - always the most comfortable beds, and a great nights sleep - plus things we love: harbour ferry stop right at hotel; oversized vehicle parking available on property; and the balconies are so fun to watch all the activity going on each day on the water!

Just excellent. Great location away from the construction project on the Inner Harbor. Only 20 minutes way walk from the centre. View of the harbor, Fisherman’s Wharf from our room were memorable. The quality of our room was up to the best we encountered on our 3 week Canadian trip. The service from the team were exceptional, particularly when we forgot something in our room after checkout.
