Lovely boutique hotel , remember small rooms are often standard in Europe , in repurposed building , hence no central A/C but small portable one , so in the heat of summer that’s a challenge and the only downside of this lovely gem !

Great little hotel in the centre of the Old Town right on the square. A little noisy at night on the weekends as people exit bars, but that’s to be expected. There was a lot of street construction going on all over Old Town unfortunately, but it was fine. The private living room type lounge was really nice to have to pop in for a coffee or a drink, and the breakfast room was lovely. Beautiful breakfast each day and the staff was so lovely!

Had a great stay at Hotel Wellenberg. The staff were fantastic! The location is right in the heart of the restaurants and lovely cobbled streets. We thought it would be noisy but it wasn’t (we stayed on the fifth floor). It’s probably about a 10 min walk from the main train station, and very conveniently located to walk to everything nearby. The breakfast was fab too! We particularly enjoyed the library and games room with Xbox and a massive TV!

We stayed in this hotel for 3 wonderful nights. The hotels location is perfect, walking distance to all the major sites and only 2 blocks away from a big secure parking garage. Every night we would end our evening in their lounge with free coffee, it was amazing. Their location is the best thing. It was our first of 7 hotels in the country and one of our favorites

Great location near everything in downtown Zurich. With zone 110 24hr sbb ticket we took the boats and all city transit for 24 hr. Hotel is clean, friendly staff, great breakfast. Only issue is room AC, unit does not really work well so its better with open windows for cool night air.

Was in the VERY walkable part of OLD Zurich. Lots of restaurants and shops. No cars I the old er section. Near the river with touring boat and #15 tram. Hotel has nice rooms and a bonus "family" room with TV, library and coffee and tea maker. Loved this hotel!

The staff is great and very helpful. Facilities are well appointed and updated. Since we were driving in from another country, it was very challenging to find our way to the hotel-which is located within old town Zurich- due to the pedestrian street closures. However, the staff gave us directions in order to briefly park in front of the hotel and drop off luggage as well as a very convenient public parking garage nearby.

The staff is great and very helpful. Facilities are well appointed and updated. Das Zimmer ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad wae dreckig, Handtücher dreckig und mit Löcher. Am Bett und Kissen waren Flecken. alles sehr staubig. Das einzige war die Lage. Für eine Nacht ok, aber länger geht definitiv nicht.

I loved the area around the hotel super walkable with lots of restaurants and shops. There was a small Christmas market in front of the hotel. Eve thing was clean. The room needs a little renovation but overall a good stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The entire property was spotless, and you can tell the staff takes pride in keeping everything clean and well-maintained. The location couldn’t be better—close to key attractions, shops, and public transportation, which made getting around very easy and convenient. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. With its combination of cleanliness, a prime location, and excellent staff, I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip!

While we enjoyed our stay, we did find the bathroom to be in need of a little cleaning. For instance, the shower curtain was old and dirty and the windows had some dirt on them. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. We also enjoyed the location as it was close to shops and the train station.

There was significant black mold in the bathroom shower. You did no mention that in your listing. Air conditioning was a portable unit with poor effect.

The breakfast was great and the reception, lounge and corridors were lovely. Unfortunately the room let the hotel down. It was very large but there were stains on the sofa and side chair, black mould around the bathroom window and a bath with a pull across shower curtain which was grubby at the bottom where it sat in the bath. The woodwork round the door was also badly in need of redoing. The bathroom was tired and needed updating. The bath towels were also small and quite worn. The bed was good and the sheets clean though

A hotel with excellent staff, let down only by the tired condition of our room and bathroom, long overdue a refresh/redecoration. Lighting was poor and didn’t work properly. There was no sign of any air conditioning but at this time of year that didn’t matter. Bathroom basin took 10 minutes to drain. Breakfast buffet was excellent but with only a maximum of two staff ever present it took up to 20 minutes for our coffees to arrive. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay as the hotel was comfortable and in a good location.

This is a nice, medium hotel in a good location. The staff are all very friendly, and the public areas are very well designed and stylish. Our room was nice, but the bathroom looked like it was still to be upgraded, in terms of décor and facilities. The room itself was nicely done out, although there was a prominent extension cord in full view, and the mobile air conditioning unit only worked significantly on full power (and was very noisy when it was). We had to turn it off at night as it was so noisy, and the room didn't get below 25 degrees at night although it wasn't too bad. The breakfast room was nice and had a decent amount of food choices. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The night we last stayed was not great. Noise from ajoinging room snoring, bathroom noises was not great. Also the portible AC is also very noisy. The earlier 2 nights spend 5 days prior were fine.

The Suite was spacious and clean. The decor and furniture were average but clean. The lighting in the living room was inadequate, making the room very dark and dreary looking. easily fixable with a change to brighter LEDs. fortunately the bedroom lighting was good. The safe was not large enough for a laptop. These two things should be changed ASAP.

The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and friendly. The longes were a nice way to relax outside of the room and we used them several times to unwind after a long day of walking. We reserved a family room for us and our 2 adult children trying to save some money because Switzerland is so expensive! I would not recommend a family room. The king bed provided was perfect but the pull out double couch was literally painful to sleep on. I had read that in previous comments but thought ‘how bad could it be’…now I know. The pillows also felt as though they had 3 feathers each in them - plumper pillows needed. Otherwise we loved the location and the quality of the hotel. The bath in our room could do with being updated and perhaps hair conditioner provided in the shower would be nice

La chambre que nous avons eu était rénovée en partie: la salle de bain n’était vraiment pas au goût du jour et manquait beaucoup d’amour! Salle de bain en décalage avec le reste de la chambre. Rideau de la douche n’était pas très propre et vraiment un look très désuet, des tuiles roses des années’50!! Par contre le lit King size était très confortable ainsi que l’espace salon était très agréable.

Great location! Close to trams, restaurants, shops, etc. Within walking distance of Old Town. Staff are wonderful. They are friendly and strive to meet your needs. Helpful in offering suggestions and securing reservations. Will definitely stay here again.

Location was great, hotel front staff were great and the hotel had a nice little courtyard and lobby area for relaxing. Room was spacious and fairly clean, various plugs didn’t work though HOWEVER, the room cleaner clearly helped themselves to our stash of strawberry creme Lindt that we got from the Lindt museum and had a spray of my partners new perfume as they left the lid off. Not bothered about the chocolate or a couple of perfume sprays, but makes you on edge about what else the cleaner has been looking through…

This hotel was mostly fine. It was in a great (though sometimes noisy at night) location & convenient to lots of places. The bed was fine and the breakfast was okay. It does say check in is at 3:00 p.m. So when we arrived at about 8:30ish in the morning we weren't super surprised that our room wasn't ready. That was fine. We explained that we'd flown all night and had both had about 3 hours tops of sleep so were just super tired. We went out and explored for awhile and then came back at about 1:30ish p.m. when we were so worn out we just couldn't push ourselves further. The woman at the desk then checked & said the room was ready. I got the impression it had been ready for awhile. I get that we were early before check in and that it was not the hotel's fault that we'd taken an overnight flight to get to Zurich from the United States. All of that is true - but no effort was made at all to help with even a slightly earlier check in or remember us at all. I just found this to be really disappointing - all 5 other hotels we stayed in in Europe were super accommodating if we arrived a little earlier than check in due to train/bus times.

This hotel was mostly fine. It was in a great (though sometimes noisy at night) location & convenient to lots of places. The bed was fine and the breakfast was okay. It does say check in is at 3:00 p.m. So when we arrived at about 8:30ish in the morning we weren't super surprised that our room wasn't ready. That was fine. We explained that we'd flown all night and had both had about 3 hours tops of sleep so were just super tired. We went out and explored for awhile and then came back at about 1:30ish p.m. when we were so worn out we just couldn't push ourselves further. We encountered a few hiccups with our room upon check-in, but the manager of the hotel and his assistant went above and beyond to fix the issues and ensure the rest of the stay was amazing. Great location, and beautiful hotel. Would definitely stay again if we get back to Zurich.

Our visit was in one world Terrible! When in Zurich we always stay here, as this is our favorite hotel. But this time around it was one of our worst experiences in any hotel world wide. The light didn't turn off in the room (THE STAFF KNEW ABOUT IT AND DID NOTHING). The noise from construction outside the window was horrible (Why weren't we warned about it prior to our arrival). We as Platinum members are entitled to a free upgrade when available, but the staff said they do not give upgrades to Expedia/Hotels.com member (which is completely false). All in all we were surprised how bad our stay was and how little the staff reacted to our concerns. I do hope this will change in the future, but for now, we will not take the chance to stay here again.

Really great staff! Reception was very helpful storing our bags and having them waiting for us in our room. Breakfast was fantastic and staff were friendly and helpful. Building is in charming downtown area with easy access to transportation, restaurants, and many attractions. Room was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable.

Was in the VERY walkable part of OLD Zurich. Lots of restaurants and shops. No cars I the old er section. Near the river with touring boat and #15 tram. Hotel has nice rooms and a bonus "family" room with TV, library and coffee and tea maker. Loved this hotel!

The location of this hotel was great! Close to many restaurants and bars and right in the middle of Old Town. Hotel was very clean, had a nice waiting area and the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. We had to have the heat turned off in the room and open a window as it was a bit warm as the building’s AC system was shut off for the season. Would stay here again.

Hotel is centrally located in heart of old town. So many shops and restaurants right out the door. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were small and loud but to be expected in historic building.

Lots of construction outside - room was hot and stuffy at night but too noisy to open windows. Advertises free shuttle to airport - total bait and switch. We requested free shuttle for four at check in and confirmed day before departure. Van took us to the airport and driver needed 90 Ch - called hotel and they said they don’t provide a shuttle. Would not recommend this hotel other than the location was good. Very disappointed.

Photos from Expedia were misleading. Room wasn’t super clean, in fact we requested they remove a rug from our rooms since it had bad smell. The bathroom was closer to a closet, the shower door was split into 2 so it could open. They breakfast was included within our rate, though it was only fair. If kids wanted pancakes, extra 9 SF. Fried egg was extra charge… lastly, uber can’t pick up at hotel. Location & view was good.

Excellent location in the old town. Very close to numerous restaurants and bars. Also close to the rover and a short walk to the lake. Our bathroom was dated but otherwise the family room was good. Tight with 2 kids, but it’s Europe. The breakfast was very good and the staff pleasant. The AC was a portable machine but worked well. Overall, great stay with no issues.

I liked that I was so close in walking distance to everything. I did not feel that the briefest buffet was that special compared to other hotels.Disappointing that you have to pay extra for special eggs to be cooked to a hot chocolate.

A hotel with excellent staff, let down only by the tired condition of our room and bathroom, long overdue a refresh/redecoration. Lighting was poor and didn’t work properly. There was no sign of any air conditioning but at this time of year that didn’t matter. Bathroom basin took 10 minutes to drain. Breakfast buffet was excellent but with only a maximum of two staff ever present it took up to 20 minutes for our coffees to arrive. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay as the hotel was comfortable and in a good location.

Room was great, staff was great, breakfast was great. What was not great is not knowing there was construction happening to the front facade. I was woken up every morning at 7am to men right outside my window. I couldnt see the town. Just scaffolding and tarp. I felt a little confined because I couldnt open window for fresh air. Its a shame because that was my only issue but it was a big one.

Beautiful hotel in an optional location. Rooms were very comfortable. Staff and team were very helpful and attentive. Inclusive breakfast was very nice. Loved the little private lounge in the evening on the second floor. The only issue we experienced was the lack of Hotels.com noting the hotel was under mass construction. Most of the hotel windows were blocked by scaffolding and workers walking directly by hotel windows. Had to keep drapes closed the entire stay. The hotel team were very accommodating to move my room to have a partial unobstructed window. I was very grateful. Overall our stay was lovely.
