Riga Islande Hotel with FREE Parking

Bra hotell, men skuffende at det ikke var mulig å spille bowling der uten å måtte bestille en uke i forveien. Mulighet til å bowle var hele poenget med å bestille hotellet.

Über die Brücke lässt sich die Innenstadt schnell erreichen. Ein Einkaufszentrum ist direkt daneben. Ich finde es allerdings schade, dass man für das Gym 5 Euro extra am Tag zahlen muss.

Insgesamt ein gutes, aber in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, das generell zu empfehlen wäre, sehr praktisch mit Parken und Ladesäulen. Zimmer sind etwas altmodisch ausgestattet mit u.T. älteren Möbeln. Fitness ist als Leistung angegeben, aber überraschend nicht inklusive und sehr überschaubar, dafür sind die verlangten 5€ zu viel. Bei der Ankunft gab es nicht mal eine kleine Willkommens- Wasserflasche, heutzutage mittlerweile selbstverständlich.

Dieses Hotel war in Ordnung, aber es gibt einige Kritikpunkte. Sowohl die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, als auch beim Frühstück waren höflich, aber das bedeutet nicht, dass sie auch freundlich waren. Ein Lächeln kann so viel bewirken, aber scheinbar ist das in diesem Hotel zu viel erwartet. Ansonsten muss angemerkt werden, dass zwar viele Parkplätze vorhanden sind, aber ein Großteil oft für Busse abgesperrt ist, sodass wir, wenn wir abends zurückgekehrt sind, immer gehofft haben, noch einen freien Parkplatz zu bekommen. Reserviert werden Parkplätze scheinbar nur für Busse, aber nicht für Individualreisende mit Auto. Sofern die Klimaanlage ausgeschaltet ist, ist es zum Flur hin sehr hellhörig. So wurde ich nachts mehrfach wach, weil sich andere Gäste auf dem Flur unterhalten haben.Ansonsten sollte erwähnt werden, dass das Hotel doch ganz schön weit weg von der Stadt ist und man dies im Hinterkopf haben sollte. Ansonsten hat uns das Hotel gefallen. Es war sauber, nebenan befinden sich Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die Zimmer waren groß.

We booked this hotell because of its rather central location and the free parking. The room was big and the bathroom very good. The beds had just one matress and no bed matress so it was not especially comfortable and the pillows were thin. Breakfast was included but we didn't like it so much. Finally: two lifts but only one in function. Not so good in a hotell with lots of floors.

All good, but for such 4,5* I would expect that both elevators would be in service (usually long waiting time until you get down/up). And on Tuesday evening there was no elevator in service and there was no information put next to. I and some other guests were waiting about 5 minutes until someone passing by told us, that elevator is not working at all. Walking to the 8th floor by stairs is healthy but not pleasant. As well cleaning in rooms could be more that just vacuum cleaning of floors, as clearly visible dust on the desk around the phone area and tea/coffee making set doesn't witness about proper cleaning. As well there is no cleaning if you leave your room around 2 pm. On the positive side hotel has good location (15 minutes walk to the Old Town) and free parking in case you arrive by car or rent a car to travel around.

The hotel was clean. The mattress was comfortable, but the pillow was not great. Breakfast was good. Free parking and reasonable price made for a good stay. Not fancy, but clean, polite staff, reasonable price and free parking.

Hotel would have been excellent in all counts if the second elevator worked. A 9 story hotel with only onbe working elevator and tour groups with luggage is not a happy sight.

Unwelcoming, unhelpful & unfriendly. Haggled the 50 euro mini bar too zero: Left a bad taste? Room bland & chilly. Mould on shower. Breakfast lacked variety with poor presentation. Not worthy of 4 star international standard. Book elsewhere

Excellent breakfast, free parking, but being assigned to an 8th floor room we suffered an hour of 9th floor restaurant furniture organisation at 2300hrs. Thus only 4 stars

Business travelers and someone looking for a quiet stay - beware. Hotel hosts parties on the top floor bar until 2am, while building is sub-standard and built completely non-sound proof - therefore you hear it few floors down. It felt like at 11pm party was happening in my room, while after 11pm it was still disturbing. We complained to reception after 10pm, while they suggested to wait until 11pm to see if it becomes better before doing anything. It was obvious after 11pm that the improvement was minor, but moving to another room was too late for us to consider as it was last night of our stay. Why hotel didn't warn about it during check-in, nor they asked if we would prefer a more quiet room, that's a mystery. But all in all extremely pure attitude towards all guests who have chosen to stay here.

Dejlig stort værelse med flot udsigt over mod den gamle bydel. Behageligt med en lille lænestol, og kaffe/te faciliteter. Stort varieret morgenmadsbuffet. Hotellet ligger lige ved siden af en af Rigas mange indkøbscentre.

Room was well soundproofed - we were near the lifts but never heard them. Breakfast had a good choice and constantly replenished. Easy to get to from the airport by bus (only 1 change) with bus stop less than 5 minutes away. Not sure I'd say 4 star though compared to other places we have stayed. Lacking in power sockets in the room for charging, not any by the bed without unplugging the beside light each side. No safe in the room, only at reception. Coffee sachets were 3in1 (coffee, milk & sugar), no option for without. Curtains didn't fit windows so if you like to sleep in a dark room, take an eyemask!

Wonderful hotel close to old town. Room was spacious and had a very long hallway. We had room on the 8th floor, however the room got very hot (25C!!) due to some sunny weather (outside was around 1-2C) and although A/C in the room, it was still set on heater due to colder temperatures (winter/spring weather). Unfortunately it could not be set manually in each room. I placed this as a recommendation upon checking out. Breakfast was superb and had variety of food options.

Dobry hotel z bezpłatnym parkingiem. Śniadania średnie, mały wybór potraw. Czajnik, kawa, herbata w pokoju. Ogromny problem z Wi-Fi - przez cały pobyt praktycznie internet nie działał. A jest mi niezbędny do pracy. Po zgłoszeniu na recepcji, dalej nie udało się go naprawić i uruchomić. Inni goście, też skarżyli się na niedziałające Wi-Fi.

The views over the river and town from the 8th floor were stunning! The reception was 10 stars, speaking English and explaining parking etc in detail. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Room was spacious and was easy to regulate temperature. It was also very quiet, except for people in hallway, but it was not an issue that often. Bed was comfortable. Included breakfast was delicious and had huge variety. Location was also good, it was possible to walk to city center, or take a public transport which was also close. There is also tiny city beach nearby for quick dip during summer. There is a shopping mall right behind hotel with some eating options or grocery store, but rooftop bar of hotel also has great food. One complaint - hotel says to be enviromental friendly and there is a sign in bathroom that only towels on floor will be changed, but we got new towels even if they were hanging and not on the floor.

This was the first hotel of seven hotels that we stayed in during our two weeks of traveling, and after the first night, I found myself unhappy that I had booked the hotel for later in the trip. Unfortunately, I couldn’t cancel without losing all my money. So, we sucked it up and survived two more nights. During our second visit, we avoided going to the in-house restaurant again even though we found the food to be very delicious. I don’t know if it’s just the culture, but we weren’t greeted at the restaurant. Not an attempt was made as the staff just stared at us while we walked around looking confused. I had to make first contact to see where we could sit. We were informed we could sit anywhere by an employee who scurried off to do something else. Once we found a spot, everyone continued to stare at us as if we had arrived in a UFO. Service was just straight forward business. I am here to take and bring your order, and you are here to eat. Done. As for the rooms, they are dated. It’s about time the furniture got an upgrade. The towel heater was always on and in competition with the air conditioner. Breakfast was pure chaos and that energy was felt as soon as you walked into the room. People zipping all over the place in a hurry to get food as if the buffet would run out in 10 minutes. Then they rush to get back to their tables. Again, pure chaos. I hated every minute I spent there, but I had already paid for breakfast and discovered that no café in the area was open before

I had a pleasent stay at Riga islande hotel with my family. Clean and welll maintained room. Great breakfast. Good location. Free parking! I am surely going back to Riga islande hotel if I visit Riga again. The hotel offered breakfast eventhough I was checking out at 3.30AM in the morning. They have delivered a breakfast kit to my room in the night before check out. It was really a nice gesture from them.

The room was comfortable, good space, good working air condition and it was a comfortable bed. The shower was ok, but the fact that water was leaking onto the floor from the bathtub was annoying. 4 stars still because the staff was really great. The terrass restaurant also has a great view of the city.

The staff was impolite, and not friendly I had very bad experience with this hotel Not recommended for foreigners

Very slow check in. Could have enjoyed more than a single bed pillow. Heat was on low and could not be turned down and no A/C made room a bit warm. Chairs were very hard.

Male staff are very rude impolite not nice at all.

This is a large modern property just outside Riga city center, across the Daugava river. There is not much in the immediate area but it´s close to the city and has a good restaurant and bar menu. Free parking and good value for money if you don´t need to be in the center.

Great offering in a very good location.

I stayed for three nights at Riga Islande Hotel. I enjoyed my stay. This hotel is located around 25 minutes walk from Downtown. For me it was an excellent choice. The restaurants at 9th and 10th floors are superb. I will definitely return here in the future. The only issue was the bad internet connexion (experienced one evening).

Great location. Old Town is only a short walk away. Very good for those visiting RTU.

Nice hotel perfectly located near the Riga Technical University. My room had a fantastic view towards the river and the skyline of the old town. Breakfast contains a lot of choices. The only thing missing was a feedback on my mails regarding airport service.

Net buiten het oude centrum, maar goed bereikbaar met openbaar vervoer. Dagkaart €1,50 , 2 dagen €5,00 en voor 3 dagen €8,00 Prima ontbijt, leuke en gezellige bar in de lobby. Mooi uitzicht op de rivier en oude stadvanuit het restaurant. stad vanaf

A great hotel to stay at on Riga. Just outside of the hussle a bussle with just a short walk over the bridge to Old Town. Staff were professional and welcoming. The room was clean and everything expected. Breakfast in the mornings had plenty of options to suit all citizens. The rooftop restaurant was faultless. The food was better than expected for the price. Staff were as good as expected atnpeack busy hours. Highly recommend. Will stay again in the not to distent future.

The roof terrasse restaurant is very good. The staff was friendly and gave us very good service.

Insgesamt waren wir recht zufrieden. Etwas schade ist, dass das Frühstück jeden Tag exakt gleich ist. Das Buffet an sich ist zwar relativ groß, aber es gibt z.B. eine Sorte Käse, zwei Sorten Wurst und keine anderen Beläge. Die sind jeden Tag gleich. Auch Obst war eher eintönig. Das Restaurant im 9. OG war für den Preis ok aber auch nicht sonderlich gut. Darüber hinaus war es ziemlich kalt, s.d. wir uns tatsächlich nochmal fürs Essen umgezogen haben. Sonst war prinzipiell alles i.O. aber entspricht keinem 4,5 Sterne Hotel.

Tolles Hotel mit schöner Dachterrasse. Zentrum in 20 min zu Fuß erreichbar. Sicherer kostenloser Parkplatz. Gute Auswahl beim Frühstück, aber die Qualität war enttäuschend. Brötchen steinhart in Industriequalität, Käse trocken, Wurst unansehnlich.

Hotel OK, check in/out OK, Parking OK men roof-top restaurant meget dårlig service, måtte vente på maden i næsten 2 timer og så manglede halvdelen af ordren. De var dog OK med at reducere i regningen.
