We chose to stay at the apartment in the "annex" building. Without the booking providing any further information, we understood that to mean in the same general area as the hotel - i.e., the only location shown in the booking. That was incorrect. The building was across the river - a 10-15 min walk away from all of the hotel's amenities, in a random old apartment building. The hotel did not inform us of the apartment's location until we arrived to check in. They did send us a message saying there would be a 15 min walk to the apartment (but not where it was located), but even that was after we no longer were able to cancel. The apartment itself was fine - dated, as one would expect from essentially a vacation rental. The staff were entirely useless, and because of the location of the hotel in relation to the apartment, we never used any of the hotel's amenities because it was in the wrong direction from all of Florence's attractions. The manager did eventually offer to let us change rooms, but only once our stay was nearly over. He also insisted we could come to the hotel for the breakfast we had paid for when we booked, but did not offer to refund the amount we were charged for a breakfast that was a 15 minute walk in the wrong direction. We also had to trudge back to the hotel with all our bags to check out. The view from the apartment was nice, at least, which is why I gave it two stars, rather than one.

Hotellet ligger perfekt beläget med närhet till alla sevärdheter men ändå utanför de folksmockade gatorna. Personalen är utomstående med sin service, rummena likaså, dock upplevde vi i år att det var dvårade att koppla upp sig mot deras nät. 7€ för rumsservice är värt varenda spänn när man inte orkar sig ner till matsalen. Den bästa negronin är gjort på Balsetri Bar och deras cocktailmeny presenterar eleganta drycker utifrån deras koncept; Jord, Vind, Eld och Vatten.
