Hotel Lady Lusya

Absolutely loved staying here. The property is wonderful and we loved the original features and stunning bedroom. Very clean. Breakfast had a nice selection. The owner is so lovely and kind. Family friendly whilst having a chilled vibe for adults at the same time. The pool is brilliant for all ages.

Spectacular setting, very rural and quiet therefore if you don’t intend to stay at the hotel pool for your whole stay then a car is a must. The rooms were spotless, cleaned everyday. The property is very old and therefore can’t be expected to look like a new hotel but in the main it was well maintained and had a certain charm about it. The 4 star review could quite easily have been 5 if it wasn’t for our one experience of dining on the first night, which at best could be described as poor. This is no reflection on our server, Concetta. Unfortunately the quality of food coming out of the kitchen was below what we expected. We had 3 courses. The first was hot on the outside but cold on the inside. The second course was very over cooked in some parts but not others. And the 3rd course was absolutely inedible. My opinion, although disputed by the staff was that the food had been cooked in a microwave. I can’t say that this is how it was cooked but the food was so inedible we actually sent it straight back to the kitchen. We were offered a replacement meal by Concetta but to be honest our experience to that point really spoilt our appetite. We were most disappointed that the Chef or Lusya the owner made no attempt to speak to us about it or even apologise. Having said that, as we didn’t eat in the hotel for the rest of our stay, the food on other nights may have improved.

A beautiful place and a great host, Lucy, who explains the history of the grounds and the region very well. She makes things easy and everything at Lady Lusya is done with good taste.

Our stay at Hotel Lady Lusya in October '23 was truly unforgettable! This charming establishment boasts a unique main building, delightful swimming pool, and meticulously maintained gardens. The warmth and hospitality extended by the owner and her family made our experience even more special. Our room featured a spacious terrace overlooking the serene countryside and pool, where we savoured tranquil evenings watching breathtaking sunsets with a glass of wine in hand. The breakfast selection was excellent and left us feeling satisfied each morning. We wholeheartedly recommend this magical retreat to anyone considering a visit to this part of Sicily. Many thanks to Lusya, her son, and the dedicated staff for creating such wonderful memories and for their exceptional hospitality.
