Great staff, beautiful hotel, gym and pool. Pool was heated, jacuzzi outside was also heated. Our room is lovely. It had a couch and a full view of the ocean. It was an upgraded room.

This property was lovely! The shuttle was extremely convenient and saved us so much money on cabs into town. It’s about a 10 minute ride into downtown Sorrento. Breakfast was amazing and the view was INCREDIBLE. We really enjoyed sitting on the terrace and having a drink. Only comments to note would be that the pool and jacuzzi close at 7pm which is quite early when the sun sets around 9pm. Also, the restaurant offerings were quite fancy and expensive so we couldn’t have a casual dinner at the hotel for our more low key days. Service was great and we enjoyed reserving time in the small gym available.

Positioned high up on hills, the hotel offers a view that is breathtaking…these are for certain rooms. Inside is immaculate, modern and the terrace/bar/restaurant looks directly at Vesuvius. I was a little disappointed at how small it was and how whilst the hotel itself looked recently refurbished, the room needed attention e.g., the floor tiles were chipped/cracked, and the cupboard door was ill-fitting. The size of the rooms appears to be the most commented feature in reviews. However, the view was unbelievable…doesn’t get any better. I sometimes imagine how royalty is treated when they visit hotels. I honestly felt like a king as the staff are very attentive, nothing is any trouble and all the staff (including receptionists and the maids) were wonderful…the UK could learn something from this hotel in relation to how to provide outstanding customer service. Food and drink are not cheap but then the choice was good, cooked/presented to a high standard, awesome in flavour, delivered quickly and with a smile…worth it for me personally. The pool was a great size, immaculate and looked after by very attentive and friendly pool attendants who on arrival, adjust your sunbed/umbrella and provide you with fresh towels…great service. They even take your drinks order and it’s delivered to you by bar staff. So yes, the rooms are a bit small (but you are out all day) but given the hotel décor, the location/views and the outstanding service, I’d recommend this to anyone!

The hotel was amazing, huge panoramic windows giving stunning views over Sorrento bay and Mount Vesuvius. The terraced area was beautiful and tranquil again offering stunning views. The pool was fab, a great size and there were enough sun beds. The pool attendant was very friendly, always smiling. He’d bring towels, set up the sun beds and umbrellas just as we wanted them and take our drinks orders. In the evening you could eat outside on the terrace or in the dining room and four nights a week there was either a singer or disco in the outside bar area. There was a regular shuttle bus to and from Sorrento town centre from 9am with the last bus back at 11:30pm. Breakfast options ranged from full cooked breakfast, croissants, pastries and sweet treats to continental options or cereals, fruit and yogurts. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

Staff is excellent. Pool is refreshing. Views are phenomenal. Everything you could want is offered at the property. Breakfast was 10/10. Only suggestion is to have the shuttle run more frequently because we ended up taking taxis a few times. Also if at all possible to pick up in Tasso square it would save a short uphill walk. Love love love the stay!

In fitness rooms, they would unlock the fridge, give you a water bottle and lock it again. No towels. In pool area we were told we would only get one towel a day. Food could only be consumed on “round tables”. Beautiful property guys, let guests (adults paying high rates) enjoy. Relax on the rules!!

The location was excellent, far enough from central Sorrento to give it a chilled, quiet atmosphere, but close enough to get into town (on the complementary bus, which was a nice touch). The service, food, and pool were also top quality as well. The only things that let the hotel down were 1) it was being redecorated/ refurbished throughout our stay, so there were a lot of workmen around, even in the corridors by the rooms (unnerving for my teen girls), and our first rooms were constantly covered in paint/ building dust, and 2) the quality of the fittings and build of the rooms was poor, with surprisingly shoddy workmanship Having said that, the staff changed our rooms early on to ones that were less impacted by the workmen, and we really enjoyed our stay regardless.

Beautiful, clean hotel. Daily breakfast (cooked and lots of variety) was super. Shuttle into town was very convenient. Mattress was very uncomfortable (could feel springs), and while the shuttle was great, the driver smoked between every pick-up/drop-off so the van smelled very bad.

Grand Hotel Aminta is a simply wonderful hotel. It has impeccably clean rooms with wonderful sweeping views over the Gulf of Naples and Mediterranean Sea. The staff could not have been more courteous or helpful, and the restaurant dining was excellent. It has a real “old world” charm - the kind of atmosphere and service that is sadly lacking from so many modern, more “corporate” hotels. We’d stay again in a heartbeat. Also worth noting it has a regular private bus service into Sorrento that works like clockwork, and many excursions to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri, Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast and more can be organised straight from the hotel. Absolutely excellent!

The hotel is gorgeous and newly renovated! Much better than we have expected!! Fantastic amenities, views, rooms. Only 2 minor things- it is up a hillside so you do have to rely on the shuttle bus that can be a bit limiting. As well the bathroom in our suite smelled a bit strange but I think it's because of the remote Mediterranean location. Overall we were thrilled and blown away! A must stay!!!

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish! The rooms, staff, drinks and food were excellent but what took our breath away was the views! To wake up and see that view every morning as we walked down to breakfast was amazing! Desk staff are very helpful with suggestions and the free breakfast has a great variety. Pool was refreshing and getting a lounger was not difficult. Rooms and common areas all clean and well taken care of. Really a fantastic place to stay, we would gladly stay there again!

The restaurant was the best part of this hotel. Unfortunately, my room had several issues — the sink and bathtub weren’t working properly, and the shower design caused water to spill all over the floor because the showerhead was positioned too close to the edge. The breakfast was also underwhelming. Overall, it’s not worth over $500 a night.

I had stayed at the Grand Aminta pre-COVID and had a great stay there. This time I brought another group of friends for a local visit, and we also had a fabulous time. The room was a nice size, and we were upgraded to a balcony terrace room. We enjoyed the views and fresh air breezes until evening. Unfortunately, cyclists like to rev their engines as they head up the winding hills so we were not able to sleep with the windows open. Breakfast was good each morning and watching the sun rise over the hills was especially relaxing. We had dinner at the hotel several nights. The bracciole was to die for -- tender, well-seasoned and in a delicious red sauce. Motto bene!!! The hotel provides a shuttle service into downtown Sorrento. It leaves every hour and returns on the half-hour, starting at 9am. We walked from the shuttle drop off to the local train to Pompeii and then another day walked to the ferry to Capri for a day. Another day, we had a small group tour of the Amalfi Coast and took an Uber from the hotel which was easy to arrange. I highly recommend the Grand Aminta for convenience, great service and comfortable accommodations!

Positioned high up on hills, the hotel offers a view that is breathtaking…these are for certain rooms. Inside is immaculate, modern and the terrace/bar/restaurant looks directly at Vesuvius. I was a little disappointed at how small it was and how whilst the hotel itself looked recently refurbished, the room needed attention e.g., the floor tiles were chipped/cracked, and the cupboard door was ill-fitting. The size of the rooms appears to be the most commented feature in reviews. However, the view was unbelievable…doesn’t get any better. I sometimes imagine how royalty is treated when they visit hotels. I honestly felt like a king as the staff are very attentive, nothing is any trouble and all the staff (including receptionists and the maids) were wonderful…the UK could learn something from this hotel in relation to how to provide outstanding customer service. Food and drink are not cheap but then the choice was good, cooked/presented to a high standard, awesome in flavour, delivered quickly and with a smile…worth it for me personally. The pool was a great size, immaculate and looked after by very attentive and friendly pool attendants who on arrival, adjust your sunbed/umbrella and provide you with fresh towels…great service. They even take your drinks order and it’s delivered to you by bar staff. So yes, the rooms are a bit small (but you are out all day) but given the hotel décor, the location/views and the outstanding service, I’d recommend this to anyone!

This property was perfect for our vacation. It was "off the beaten path," but provided a shuttle for easy access to the city center. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. The service staff in the dining room was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Fantastic property with incredible views of Sorrento . Wonderful breakfast included with white coat service for all meals . Great food and the service is impeccable. Pool is excellent and bar restaurant service all day and into late in evening with some entertainment . Shuttle service was so appreciated in to town . Very clean and well maintained . Staff are excellen , especially the bar and restaurant servers ! Would definitely return to this hotel as highly recommend.

The hotel service was excellent. Our breakfast and diner host, Fernando, was very attentive and provided excellent service. We are a difficult family in that one of our family members has a multiple food allergies and he was extremely accommodating and attentive when considering her needs. The shuttle service is reliable and takes you to and from the Sorrento city center, very close to the rail station. The hotel offers majestic views of Sorrento, a relaxing atmosphere, and an extremely attentive and kind staff. I can’t wait to come back!

The walk up and down to the hotel is also good but would suggest some general fitness as it’s quite steep but worth every step with the views. The service from all hotel staff was outstanding. The restaurant and bar staff very attentive and professional and reception staff super helpful with questions on getting around campania and exploring whether is be ferry or train times or best way to book things. Would highly recommend this hotel as a central location to explore the amalfi coast

Grand Hotel Aminta is a simply wonderful hotel. It has impeccably clean rooms with wonderful sweeping views over the Gulf of Naples and Mediterranean Sea. The staff could not have been more courteous or helpful, and the restaurant dining was excellent. It has a real “old world” charm - the kind of atmosphere and service that is sadly lacking from so many modern, more “corporate” hotels. We’d stay again in a heartbeat. Also worth noting it has a regular private bus service into Sorrento that works like clockwork, and many excursions to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri, Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast and more can be organised straight from the hotel. Absolutely excellent!

We had the BEST week staying at this hotel. From the front desk, waitstaff for breakfast, house keeping to the bartenders (Especially Antonio) it was AMAZING. I am a previous restaurant owner and worked in the hospitality industry for years. I couldn't figure out how everyone was amazing until days later we were told the hotel is locally owned and the owner comes in frequently. Which we did see him one night. Anyway, the views are amazing. They do have a shuttle but you'll probably still need a taxi some, but it was worth it. We had such an amazing time and alot of it was Grand Hotel Aminta itself and all the staff. The pool and hot tub were great too! You can't go wrong with this hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay on this property. The breakfast was good and helped us save a little bit of $$$ especially since our trip was very expensive. When we booked, we didn’t realize how the hotel is in a rural area and is not in a walkable area. Luckily the hotel provides a shuttle every hour (with the exception of around 1-3pm and 9-11pm then no shuttle after 11pm). Lauren worked at the front desk and she was very nice and pleasant. She was super helpful and we enjoyed talking to her. Overall, the staff at the hotel are so nice and Lauren stood out the most.

The Grand Hotel Aminta was phenomenal! Great location, 10 minutes away from the city center. Transportation was provided every hour to and from the city center which was very convenient! And the staff, absolutely phenomenal!

STUNNING views, kind, helpful, and professional staff, excellent food and service. It’s a little far from town, but there is a dependable, prompt free shuttle that runs every hour that takes you into town. Be aware that once you get off of the shuttle, you will need to navigate a staircase to get to the lower streets that take you to the town center. My husband is currently dependent on a cane, and I was worried about this, but he did fine. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Sorrento, we will stay at Hottl Aminta!

The restaurant was the best part of this hotel. Unfortunately, my room had several issues — the sink and bathtub weren’t working properly, and the shower design caused water to spill all over the floor because the showerhead was positioned too close to the edge. The breakfast was also underwhelming. Overall, it’s not worth over $500 a night.

Beautiful, clean hotel. Daily breakfast (cooked and lots of variety) was super. Shuttle into town was very convenient. Mattress was very uncomfortable (could feel springs), and while the shuttle was great, the driver smoked between every pick-up/drop-off so the van smelled very bad.

The hotel was amazing, huge panoramic windows giving stunning views over Sorrento bay and Mount Vesuvius. The terraced area was beautiful and tranquil again offering stunning views. The pool was fab, a great size and there were enough sun beds. The pool attendant was very friendly, always smiling. He’d bring towels, set up the sun beds and umbrellas just as we wanted them and take our drinks orders. In the evening you could eat outside on the terrace or in the dining room and four nights a week there was either a singer or disco in the outside bar area. There was a regular shuttle bus to and from Sorrento town centre from 9am with the last bus back at 11:30pm. Breakfast options ranged from full cooked breakfast, croissants, pastries and sweet treats to continental options or cereals, fruit and yogurts. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

Beautiful hotel. Lovely pool, grounds, view. Breakfast was out of this world. Way beyond expectations. Best included hotel bfast I think I've ever had. All hotel staff were SO kind and helpful. Free shuttle was key. Paid 40 euro to get from get to hotel when we first got there. Afterward we took the free shuttle to as nd from city center. Took about 12 mins. Only small things is that we are dinner there our last night and process are def higher than in town, but they charged us 25 euros for buttered noodles with Parm. Same price as the bolonaise. Wish we had another day though to just hang out by the pool and chill. Highly recommend.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was delicious, and there was something for every palette 😋 The shuttle service to the town Square Square was convenient and saved us money! Staying here made our 1st visit to Sorrento pleasant, memorable, and relaxing 😌

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was delicious, and there was something for every palette 😋 The shuttle service to the town Square Square was convenient and saved us money! Staying here made our 1st visit to Sorrento pleasant, memorable, and relaxing 😌

Great stay at Aminta. Beautiful view from atop the city. Shuttle transport to city center was nice. We dined in the restaurant and ordered room service both of which were delicious and have wide variety of selections. I recommend Aminta for those looking to stay away from the hustle of town yet have easy access to it.

Rooms were spacious with lots of closet space. Breakfast options and staff were wonderful. Front desk team was friendly and helpful. Views were fantastic. Shuttle service town was timely and busy clean. Pool bar food was decent but for price and variety eat in town as much as possible.

A beautiful hotel overlooking Sorrento and the bay, there's a regular shuttle bus to and from town but if you're feeling adventurous or like a run, there's a path that takes you into town in 15 minutes, I wouldn't recommend coming back up in the height of Summer. The hotel is spotless, we had the partial room option and the view from our balcony was breath taking. The pool was beautiful as were the outside grounds. The staff couldn't do enough to help and the breakfast buffet was sumptuous - Tiramisu for breakfast - yes please!

We booked the Grand Hotel Aminta and we got a room in Villa Aminta (Annex) instead. Not happy with it, I did voice it to The reception, but nothing was done . The annex was far away. Lots of steps to get to and totally different view. I would recommend, when booking, to ask for the main hotel . Very unhappy customer .

Attention ⛔️ l’hôtel n’est pas dans sorrento centre. Très bel hôtel et personnel du bus très gentil. Malheureusement, notre expérience a été assez décevante, surtout au regard du prix de plus de 300 € la nuit. Le maître d’hôtel qui gère l’espace extérieur s’est montré particulièrement peu sympathique. Alors que plusieurs tables étaient encore disponibles et clairement non réservées, il nous a insisté pour que nous dînions à l’intérieur, sous prétexte que c’était mieux. C’est pourtant dommage de venir dans un hôtel avec une si belle vue et de se retrouver à dîner dos à celle-ci. Il faut également demander plusieurs fois avant d’obtenir quelque chose, ce qui est assez désagréable. Le plus surprenant est de constater qu’une attention très particulière est accordée à certains clients, tandis que les autres semblent totalement délaissés. Lors de l’événement et du feu d’artifice, la différence de traitement était encore plus flagrante : certaines tables étaient réservées, certains clients bénéficiaient d’attentions particulières et étaient servis directement à table, tandis que les autres devaient attendre et faire la queue. Nous avons pourtant passé deux nuits dans cet hôtel et avons payé plus de 300 € par nuit. Nous avons vraiment eu le sentiment que notre présence n’était pas particulièrement intéressante pour l’établissement, notamment parce que nous occupions des tables et des transats.
