Bra plassering sentralt i Sorrento med kort gåavstand til togstasjonen. Også lett å komme seg til fergehavnen (ned 122 trappetrinn) og kun 100m fra byens sentrum. Flott takterrasse som er åpen etter kl 18. Hyggelige medarbeidere. Litt for harde senger etter min smak og ta med egen pute :)

Small hotel with a very good location, in the heart of sorrento. Very good grocery store at the side of the hotel. Lots of restaurants at the street or close by. You cant park the car at the hotel's street but they have a good deal with a local parking lot. You drop the car in front of the hotel and they take care to park it and return whe n you asked for. Very good deal. Breakfast room is very small and wont fit everyone, people can wait or serve in a tray and take it to the room. This is something that could be better arranged. We enjoyed very much our stay.

Very good location, central to the train and to the town. Rooms decent size for short stay. Very nice shower with good pressure. Nice terrace (seasonal service but can be accessed despite closure of outdoor bar in off season). Elevator access. Too many smells everywhere in the building and rooms for us (perfumes, inscents, airfresheners) but otherwise lovely stay.

Great location from the train station and buses and walking distance to the city center and the ferries. The room was comfortable and spacious and there was a beautiful rooftop bar. The staff was extremely helpful in answering our questions and storing our luggage the day we checked out. The breakfast was good as well.

Beautiful hotel located within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and waterfront. Breakfast was amazing and although the rooftop terrace bar was only open our last afternoon/night we loved the ambiance of this area. The hotel is quite modern in decor and we were impressed that the room’s electricity turned off when you left the room with your key. Great environmental stewardship practiced by this hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

We loved our stay and happy that we booked with Hotel Sorrento City. Property and rooms very clean, staff very helpful and great breakfast. The walls are thin so you can hear noise from the next room, but we we're lucky that our neighbors we're quiet during the night

Fantastic stay in Hotel Sorrento City! Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were so clean and we were provided with everything we needed, tea making facilities, extra towels, hairdryer you name it. Beds were also really comfy and we had a great sleep on all 3 nights! Breakfast in the hotel was great too, really filled us up before we headed out on all of our excursions. Rooftop terrace also an excellent place to chill out and watch the world go by, and central local makes it a great starting point for your trip. Overall very happy with this accommodation and will definitely stay again should we return to Sorrento!

Hotel is in a convenient location to walk to restaurants and down to the marina. Staff is friendly and made an effort to ensure a positive experience during our stay. Room was nice however the bed mattress was a little too firm for our liking.

Overall our stay was good! Hotel Sorrento City was in a great, walkable location. It was a bit noisy at night seeing as though you are on the main boulevard, but the noise did not bother us. Our only big complaint was the bed; the bed we slept in was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in. We were looking forward to a good nights rest after long days of travel, but instead we became sore from sleeping in such a hard, uncomfortable bed.

Close enough to walk to train station, and centre of Sorrento. Room was clean & modern, spacious enough for a couple of nights. Buffet breakfast was adequate. Unfortunately we had a first floor room just over reception next to the cleaners cupboard, so lots of noise from guests returning at night, & cleaners starting work at 6am!

We travel a lot and Italy never disappoints. The richness of their culture, the warmth of its people…. All the staff at this hotel is extremely accommodating. We stop at front desk only to ask a question and Vincenzo went out of his way, called the tour company and arranged a closer pick up. He definitely conquered our hearts. Very, very grateful for making our stay memorable. We will definitely be back.

Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend My stay at this hotel was beyond disappointing. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed how cramped the entire place felt. The hallways are narrow and dimly lit, making it feel almost claustrophobic to get to the rooms. To add to the frustration, the receptionist did not speak a word of English, which made the check-in process slow and confusing. The breakfast area was shockingly small, with barely enough room for guests to sit comfortably, and finding an empty seat was nearly impossible. The few options available were subpar, with food running out quickly and no staff around to replenish anything. Location-wise, the hotel is situated in a noisy, bustling area that didn’t feel safe, especially at night. Street noise made it hard to relax or get a decent night’s sleep. Overall, this hotel was a huge letdown, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay.

Rooftop terrace also an excellent place to chill out and watch the world go by, and central local makes it a great starting point for your trip. Overall very happy with this accommodation and will definitely stay again should we return to Sorrento!

I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but I wanted to say this was a great hotel choice. It was centrally located. The staff was very friendly. Great breakfast included. Spacious and well-maintained rooms. We are a family of four with 2 seven year olds and we were pleased with our stay. It's also a short walk to the train station, so you don't need a cab.

Staff helpful, with a big thankyou to Marica. There was street noise but hard to avoid in Sorrento. Breakfast had a lot of sweet items, savoury offerings adequate. An issue is the tiny cramped breakfast buffet area which makes it difficult for more than one person to access at a time. Bit of a problem when you're rushing to have breakfast before early day tour starts.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Sorrento City for one night. We last minute decided to stay in Sorrento after our Amalfi hotel was not very good, and to make it easier to get to Naples the following day where we were staying before flying home. We booked with our hotel rewards, which included this being a free nights stay and a complimentary bottle of prosecco. Great hotel and very affordable. Very centrally located in Sorrento and walking distance to everything in the main city center! The bus station and train station are at the same place, and less than a 10 minute walk (bussed from Amalfi to Sorrento, and trained from Sorrento to Naples). We arrived before check in and they let us leave our bags in the lobby so we could walk around Sorrento. We returned at 1:00 PM and checked into our hotel. Room was very clean, all of the staff were very friendly. A lot of hotels in Europe - the shower situation is not great. They had a GREAT shower (rainforest shower head with removable handheld shower head and a full glass sliding door so the entire floor does not get soaked). We enjoyed some Prosecco on the rooftop patio. Complimentary breakfast was okay. Checkout was at 10:00 AM and they let us keep our bags in the lobby as we had a later train. Would definitely recommend!!

Great location from the train station and buses and walking distance to the city center and the ferries. The room was comfortable and spacious and there was a beautiful rooftop bar. The staff was extremely helpful in answering our questions and storing our luggage the day we checked out. The breakfast was good as well.

We absolutely loved this hotel! It has such a chic and elegant feel, while still feeling warm and welcoming. The location is perfect, right on the main drag, which made it so easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. Every evening before dinner, we’d sit out on our balcony overlooking the street, enjoy a few cocktails, and people-watch. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, and the rooftop patio is absolutely gorgeous. The staff, including the owner Roberta, were so warm, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel right at home. We were truly sad to leave and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We stayed for four nights, from July 22 to July 26, 2026. The place is located in the heart of the town, just a five-minute walk from the train station and the main bus stop that goes to Positano and Amalfi. The ferry port and beach area are a ten-minute walk away. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and overall, the property was quiet and clean.
