Dejligt hotel, fint velfungerende værelse. Dejligt med køleskab. Morgenmaden var virkelig god. Døgnåben reception, der altid gav en god service. Nemt at komme hurtigt højt op i byen med det rullende fortov, tæt på hotellet. Dejlig by, mange fine pladser og restauranter. Vi kommer gerne igen. Eneste ulempe var at vores bil, som er lav skrabede bunden hver gang vi skulle ud af garagen.

Ci siamo fermati con un collega a ferragosto, purtroppo lo considero uno degli alberghi più vetusti che abbia avuto la sfortuna di incontrare: struttura e ascensori vecchissimi, anche le camere vecchie e penose, arredamenti tristi, la mia stanza senza aria condizionata accesa e con vari insetti che mi hanno punto in più parti nel giro di poco. Chiedo quindi la sostituzione mostrando le foto degli insetti e mi propongono una stanza alternativa più piccola di quella prenotata , sempre vecchissima, con doccia a pavimento senza separe’ divisorio (roba da stabilimento balneare anni 70), bocchettone dell’aria condizionata questa volta posizionata direttamente fronte letto. Decidiamo di andare via. Era giusto pagare comunque qualcosa visto che avevamo de facto usato le stanze per circa 1 ora, tuttavia ci hanno addebitato l’intero importo più la colazione che avremmo fatto il giorno seguente più la tassa di soggiorno (la cui liceità andrà verificata) . Trovo la cosa esagerata e poco professionale, ma non mi pento della scelta di essere andato via. Personale della reception decisamente sgradevole fin dal check-in come evidenziato anche in altre recensioni. Assolutamente sconsigliato sia per viaggi di lavoro che di piacere. Assolutamente lontano dall’idea di un 4 stelle.

Overall our stay wasn’t pleasant at this hotel. The rooms were old and the tiles on the floor looked dirty and scratched. The main reason we left was because this place likes to play with the AC. They turn it on and off when they feel like it from their computer. After walking around hot and humid Spoleto we came back to a sauna. We had to start the AC by the time it cool down I was animal already because I had showered for dinner and I was dripping wet. Next day I wake up because it’s so hot in the room. I call the front desk and they tell me they are cleaning the rooms and turn the AC off when they do this. Obviously they never heard of a thermostat or they just think I’m a stupid American. After they saw I was aggravated the man upfront said out AC wouldn’t be blocked any more. Americans don’t come on vacation to a 4 star hotel and have to sweat like a pig while they are getting ready. They might be use to it because they live here but that doesn’t mean the guest have to suffer. Overall I spent 450 euros for a hotel that shouldn’t even have one star.
