Fairfield Inn and Suites Mobile

Elevator broke, so had to lug everything down the stairs during checkout. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Arrived at the hotel to find out that the pool was not in service. Was not able to utilize the pool our whole trip. Would have preferred to know about the pool not being operational prior to booking.

Bathroom needs fixed properly. The walls have been patched but looks terrible. Other than that stay was fine. Pool was closed without notice.

Elevators were broken, pool was closed. Even called the week before to make sure it would be open for our kids to swim.

Elevator not working. Told two 75 year olds they could go to the end of the hall on first floor and take two flights of stairs to the second floor. Struggled to take two bags up. The shower head dripped the whole time we were there. Room smelled musty.

Great staff. Room clean. Shower amenities were great! Well lit parking. Safety lock on the front door makes me think safety is an issue in the neighborhood, but I did not encounter any issues. I only saw two homeless guys about a mile up the road and that was it. Overall, would stay here again and planning to stay here for my next trip to Mobile!

I enjoyed my room but the mold in the shower and bottom of the sliding door. I picked the room because of the indoor pool but pool was cloudy, had trash in and really cold. Staff did their job but wasn’t friendly so I just went about my day. Even when I spoke to anyone it was dry . I think it’s time to shampoo the carpet.

Getting free breakfast was great. Pool wasn’t to clean, steps and the button of the pool felt slimy.

There is nothing unique about the property. Previous reviews are accurate by saying the place did not meet Marriott standards that we are used to. The building is old and smells musty. We had no shower curtain in the bathroom. The breakfast was VERY limited. However, as long as you didn't talk to the staff disresptfully, they were affable. No hot tub and the pool was very cold. It's not a place i would stay at again, but it provided a somewhat decent place to stay for my two day visit.

There was hair on the towels, sink and in the shower. There was terminates in the room. And the room itself smelled stale. The hallway and lobby was fragrant and decent. The room needed some refreshing.

Had to unexpectedly check out a day earlier than expected. I paid in cash have to wait 35 minutes for a manager because they dropped my deposit money and its been a week and 2 days since check out and they will not answer the phone to give me back my money for one night. Plus there where croaches inside and all outside th8s location. The night crew was the best hands down but this is ridiculous and i will never stay at this location again.

Room was dirty. Bathroom door around shower showed rust and was dirty. Grate over filter that cooled refrigerator was moldy. Not sanitary. No hot water in shower. Staff not friendly. I cannot not stay there again. This is why I cannot recommend.

Served its purpose for one night. Hallway smelled of pee.

letter sent to management I am writing to express my deep disappointment with our recent stay at your Fairfield Inn location in Mobile Alabama. My husband and I traveled from Detroit, Michigan, for a business commitment and to attend his sister’s funeral—an already emotionally difficult time. Unfortunately, our experience at your property only added to the distress. However, upon checking into Room 320, we were shocked to find bugs on the wall near the bathroom and visible mildew on other areas of the wall. This was incredibly unsettling. Due to the tight schedule for the funeral service at 10:00 AM, we had no time to address the issue immediately. I did report the condition of the room to the front desk, and while the staff offered us the option to switch rooms or check out, we simply could not manage a move at that time. After returning later that evening, emotionally and physically drained, we opted to switch rooms. Unfortunately, the second room was no better. I have attached photos to illustrate the condition—it was simply unacceptable by any standard, let alone Marriott’s. In addition, the parking lot was extremely unclean, which further contributed to the negative impression.

We found German cockroaches on our last night in the nightstand drawer. Also saw them crawling in the bathroom. The staff at the front desk apologized and asked us to switch rooms but it was our last night and if there are roaches, they are pretty much everywhere. I’ve stayed in Fairfield’s in other cities and never had any issues.

Just make sure to actually check your room thoroughly. I found old food behind my dresser and trash in my room. After having my room changed, I got a clean room. Just make sure you thoroughly check your space before unpacking, just in case.

The Hotel had a very bad smell.(old and mildew). Bathroom tub was not clean, walls were nasty, and the carpet was old and dirty. I’m not happy at all with my stay at Fairfield

The saty was everything to be as expected. However there where multipe wood roaches in the front lobby.

Front desk was very courteous and helpful. Our room was on the I-65 side and very noisy at night. Choose the other side. The room was clean, however it needed a little repair in the bathroom. The breakfast had a lot to be desired.

The traffic noise was very loud and kept us from sleeping.

Staff was friendly and check in efficient. The room was large, comfortable and clean.

The property and room were clean. Beds were comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and close to shopping and restaurants.

Daisy at thw feont deak was very nice and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Pillows comfortable. Breakfast was good. The place needed to be updated badly. Intersate traffic was very loud in our room. It was ok for the night. Probably not stay there again.

The water pressure was poor with the sink. The rooms were outdated overall. Parts of the wall in the room was already damaged. The breakday had limited options.

The property can use some updating.

When we checked in I gave my last name and the lady said my first name then handed me my key card. I was confused cause I didnt have to show my ID, give payment info, sign anything. I asked, that's its and she said yep I checked you in. She didnt tell me where my room was at or when breakfast was. It wasn't welcoming at all. When I checked out I requested a receipt because the check in process was shady and was told that Expeida would email me one. Breakfast wasnt good at all! I was very disappointed! My family and I travel a lot and this is the first time we experienced this kind of service very disappointing!

Was surprised by a requirement to prepay a $40.00 per night incidental fee by debit or credit card. Optional was a $250 cash deposit. Hotel had no room service, no restaurant. Front desk gave no explanation of what incidental fees were for, only fees were required even after prepayment for room days earlier.

I chose to stay at this property based off reviews and its overall rating of a 8.2. The pictures are always deceiving. The room smelt look pool water and extremely humid...we were on the top floor. It felt old and dirty. The only reason we stayed was bc I had booked thru a third party and knew I couldn't get my money back. The staff was ok but there was a staff member behind the counter yelling and complaining about her job on 2 different occasions. There were also two different times the entrance/lobby smelt like something other than a cigarette. The map doesn't take you to the property either and it's not located on the best side of town. You can hear the interstate traffic like the window is wide open. I do not recommend this hotel and would never stay there again.

The property is adequate for a quick overnight stay. Expedia and the property management team need to investigate why the third-party payment did not clear initially during my check-in. I had a 30-minute phone call with Expedia customer service and the front desk attendant to resolve the payment issue. I have never experienced this type of issue before as an Expedia customer, and I believe that the issue is with how payments from Expedia and other third-party booking agencies are handled at this particular location.

Property staff would barely acknowledge you checking in. Place stank and was dirty too expensive for that when I could’ve stayed somewhere else nicer

Didn’t like the staff service the fact that they clean the rooms every other day is appalling. My room was not clean during my stay.

We were not able to stay. We were arriving late so we called ahead to let them know. They said they would go ahead and check us in so that all we had to do was stop by the desk when we got there to get our key. When we arrived they informed us they gave our room away. They said that’s what you get when you book through a third party. So.. at 2 am we had to find somewhere else to go. The room was non-refundable so we had to get the hotels approval in order to get our money back from hotels.com.. which takes a few days.. I’m not sure where the problem is here.. but this has never happened to us before.. but now I don’t know if I will use hotels.com anymore.

Dasia(spell check) front desk clerk was very welcoming and nice. The room was clean and spacious only thing was the remote didnt wanna work to the tv, water leaked a little not much from.the shower. I would stay again, very convenient to the mall, restaurants, and other shopping stores. Im here for my daughter's move in and we are only a few minutes from the university.

Convenient location to the airport.

The property is close to the inter-state highway with lots of restaurant to choose. Breakfast was fine.

Very convenient to the hospital

The lady at the front desk was wonderful. It was just the area where the hotel was located..as a woman traveling alone it was not in the best area. The room was clean and the door locked. I just wasn't impressed and will not be staying again.

The staff is wonderful, but the location is pretty rough. It's close to where I needed to be. Unfortunately the sheer curtains did little to block out the lights and traffic.

Poor breakfast everytime i went to find something to eat i found the trays empty there was no waffle mix no eggs no sausage person in charge was always screaming and too loud you cant even talk by phone and the variety of food to eat wasnt good at all i have been in several hotels and you always can find plenty food to serve but not here if you need something you need to ask for it. Very dissapointed

No food at breakfast with over an hour left til time ended. Worker would not give out any of the water on her cart because she said it was for tomorrow

We needed a quick place to stay overnight to break up a day trip into a 2-day trip. This place was priced very well, quiet and had a wonderful breakfast the next morning. For these reasons, would stay here again.

Comfortable sleeping and a good breakfast.

I don't do this often, but I would pass this one up. Breakfast was the worst so I will start there. There was hardly anything available, and what was there was not enough for the guests that were waiting to be served. What was available, was pretty disgusting. At check in, I was charged $20 and told it would be giving back when I check out. I'm used to traveling so I understand putting a hold on my card. That's normal. But I've never actually had a charge go through. Now, it's a waiting game to see if it comes back. There were some areas of on cleanliness but not bad enough to mention specifically. I would not stay again.

I really enjoyed my stay the hotel was clean. However, the morning breakfast needs some improvement. The oranges had mold on them and very limited food choices. Also, the breakfast sausage was cut in half when they all ready size of a quarter.

Staff was super-nice and beds are quite comfortable. The hotel is nicer than it appears. Breakfast was not great… but coffee was good.

Everything was great especially the lady that was serving breakfast this morning.

Building is run down and lots of damage to walls and ceiling. The breakfast had nothing but hard sausage, cereal, and oatmeal. Walls are thin so we heard people all night along with road noise.
