lodge on the river

This place doesn't even have cable TV. When I got into the room and turned on the TVI just had a snowy screen when I asked the staff to assist they came back with a literal antenna to hook up to the TV and when I asked about the cable they said that the owner got rid of the cable to save money. Even the Cheapest motels have cable TV that's like a necessity nowadays. I was done within 10 minutes of being there we actually ended up leaving and not even staying there. Yes we lost the $70 we paid to stay but really no cable??

Stay from Hell, first took forever to check in, Clerk was slow. The TV did not work, after spending a good half hour going back and forth with the front desk, we just gave up and went to bed (upon checking out, found out Cable and Internet was both out), There is no Ice Machine, to get Ice you need to Pay $4 for a bag, the beds were hard. The rooms seem outdated, and they were clean for the most part. The parking lot was very ruff, Swimming pool was closed, and No Breakfast. Walls were thin, you heard Everything. Will not EVER Stay there again.

The pool was green with algae, it looked like a dirty fish tank after the fish died. The management was a little girl, who was extremity rude and unprofessional. Forget raining with her she makes no sense when she talks. The rooms have no phones so if you need something you have to walk to the office during hours. Also if you want a trash can in your room, or TV on the room you have to request these things at the desk, they will however give you a remote, but they have almost no tvs, they have to transfer from room to room when someone wants to speak up. And bring your own towels and linens, my room came with 2 floor towels and one actual towel all of them were stained, all of them had hair already on them, i used the middle sheet on the bed to dry off. Which was the cleanest. The comforter was left to the floor for my stay. They hold 100$ and then charge 15$ a night for use of the green pool. The sprinkler systems went off long ago and they never fixed the floor. So none of the flooring is secure, and the wood is swollen. The stairs are questionable with cracks all the way through multiple steps. The trash accumulates in the receptacles outside the rooms and the dumpster outrageously fast, every bin was stuffed, and I'm surprised the trash man was able to get to the dumpster to empty it. This place is unsafe.

Room not ready for hours and hours, new staff, tv had no remote, no tv until second night then WiFi wouldn’t work. Pool broken. Continental breakfast unavailable. Staff apologetic and saying were quitting.

The entire property is in poor condition. The room was clean but very cheap old furniture. The pool was closed and filthy. Tried to cancel after seeing the room and it was refused. Much better value for the money in the area. Would not recommend this to anyone.

The one good thing was that I arrived late and they were able to receive me just after midnight. Other than that there was no ice machine and so you had to ask for ice at the check in desk. The first night there was a little bit of ice; luckily I brought my own bag. The second night there was almost no ice. Also the first night the pillows were literally 1 inch thick and even together still didn't make a decent pillow. I asked for an l extra pillow which they didn't have. I had to buy my own pillow the next day. The second night I asked for clean towels which I never got. Also I had to move the table from one side of the room to the other next to where the air conditioning was just to be able to have an outlet to plug in my laptop to I shouldn't have bothered however because the Wi-Fi was so slow I felt like I was back in 1986. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

the pool was green and full of bugs, the chain lock on the door was ripped off along with the molding (placed in a drawer of a broken entertainment center with a 30" TV), the wood floor were popped up and buckled with water damage, the knob to the bathroom door was falling off, of the 2 towels provided 1 looked like it had poop stains which I hope was just make up (did not use), paint spots missing on walls, was moved from my single king "suite" at check in to a dual full, ceiling fan had visible dust bunnies, Toilet was either dirty or so old the white glaze was gone in the throat of it, ice/vending room was empty with a hose stretched out from it and no lights, security cameras were disconnected and forced down to the ground.... this place looked like a scene from a movie where meth was cooked, homeless people stayed there for cheap or there was a prostitution ring running in there. if I were to create an advertising tag line it would be "this is the place to go if you want to do drugs or kill yourself" my room did have a great view of the river and the A/C was very good. I booked it last minute and did so based on Expedia's 4+ star rating. The lady at the desk was great, I feel bad for her having to run this property.

The shower heads were filthy, the room it self had limited light. Only 1 light switch & no night stands or lamps, I had booked a suit and everything they advertised was completely misleading, the pool has prob been closed for over 15yrs. It’s full of algae and the curtains are dirty with hand prints and spider webs. “The suite” we got was suppose to have a river view, it’s full of bushes. A complete rundown place. The beds were suppose to be queens, the frames are but the mattresses are twin size, they advertise that the room comes with a refrigerator ours didn’t have 1 and the microwave was filthy. Their tv’s and WiFi are complete trash. When you ask the front desk hostess for bath towels they want you to return the soiled 1’s to the front desk. I have stayed at cheap motels but this place sure catfished us

It's a small motel, i was not expecting great service or a great product. Yet was still disappointed in my stay here. The room and property were dirty. Run down property with tons of needed repairs. The pool is closed. The pillows are paper thin. The bed are extremely uncomfortable so i wouldn't recommend this place if you have medical issues or a bad back. Bring your own toilet paper. Found multiple bugs. Mini fridge wasn't cold at all. The AC in the room was ice cold so good for them on that one. They had Roku tv so that was really cool too. I wasn't going to write a review, I don't like being negative. But the staff made me uncomfortable on multiple occasions.I understand people make mistakes but it was just a weird stay. Lisa was nice. Excellent customer service despite being short staffed and stuck working in an office with no AC. So shout out to her. I only stayed here because I like to support small businesses, so I would really hate to say I would never recommend this place to anyone. But they SERIOUSLY need to take a step back and fix some issues.

Gross! Holes in walls. Stayed three days and NOT ONCE did we get our room cleaned! Had to go to the office twice to ask for clean towels No trash can in the room. Beat up 80's gross furniture. Pool was green. Broken toilet seat and toilet paper holder. Couldn"t go barefoot as our feet turned black from filthy floor. Staff were incredibly rude when we asked about getting our room cleaned but when we saw the crack head ladies that were cleaning others rooms. We realized we dodged that bu**et. Do NOT recommend

Unfortunately the place was not properly clean. Found bugs on the bed and old food inside the refrigerator which we trew away. The hotel staff was never available and there was no breakfast available. At least at 7:30 am before leaving for the day.

Took 2 hour's to check in. Pubes all over the sheets. Towel was stained. Took over an hour to check out. Charged us a resort fee when that wasnt advertised and blamed the website I used. Would not recommend.

The first room assigned was filthy, prior guest must have left in hurry. Dirty sheets and towels strewn on floor. Second room didnt have shower curtain. Felt as though we were camping in the wilderness!

I then had to check out a tv remote and was told if I didn’t return it with my ONE key at check out I’d be charged $25 second red flag but the room was non-refundable. Upon room entry the tv was tiny, the bedding was mix matched the floors and walls were dirty and had trash, there was no fridge at or option for ice or an ice bucket, next problem was the dirty bathroom which included nicely folded dirty and stained towels. I have stayed at seedy motels with better service and cleanliness. Do not make the mistake I did. Don’t let the mixed reviews fool you

The staff was nice and accommodating. That is my only compliment. The property in no way appears as the photos show. Dilapidated, dirty rooms, door wouldn't even security bolt and appears like a low income housing development. The location was decent but all else was below standard and not as advertised. Very disappointing.

the mini fridge is very warm. could not put my insulin in it. tub didn't look clean at all.

Beds seemed to be an afterthought, you can get better mattresses for$100. Toilet was the same way, never thought I would wonder why I needed to flush 3 times. Room had no fridge so it was a bit difficult.

The staff was great the rooms were good size they could have been cleaned, would be nice to have a clean floor and pillows plus a working ice machine.

The “comforters” are paper thin, but it works out because the AC has a hard time keeping the room tolerable.

This place isn’t frilly, but it’s clean and quiet. The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. Our TV did not work during our stay, it was missing a cable, but it wasn’t missed much since we were busy. The room is clean and comfortable. The bed is just right and the A/C was perfect! The last place we stayed had no air! This will be our Bullhead go-to place.

I thought I was booking in Laughlin NV not Bullhead. Staff was fine. Walls not sound proof. Was woken up by the guy next door...snoring...😠

DO NOT STAY HERE! total mess! check in time is 3:00PM said room was ready when arrived at 6:30 PM open door to room, someone's belongings where in room garbage all over room, went to get another room, said was done, same thing open door to room, not ready, bed was not made, so was told only one person working, so would be a while before room was ready, could not check in until 10:30PM looks like all they did was change sheets, total mess, find out TV did not work, had no coffee in room, mini fridge was missing, bed squeaked at every move, hard mattress, some arrogant New Yorker had truck alarm go off several times at night, very noisy rooms, PLEASE GO ELSE WHERES, this Hotel was made for the homeless, take my advice, don't stay here go accross the road or anyplace but here, they should not even be in business!!!

Check in process took hours, lot of customers complaining but I will say the cs rep on Friday night did her best to be patient and accommodate things that she could or could not control. There was no TV, towels or blankets in the rooms. Neighbors stated people were doing x-rated things in the pool so we didn't take our children to swim which sucked because it was a hit weekend. In the mornings there were so many random sketchy folks walking the parking lot. Keep your valuables close, basically got what we paid for. Prices were low and we got to shower and had somewhere to sleep and the AC in the two rooms we did get worked great I'll give them that.

We arrived at the Lodge at 10:30pm which was during the lodge office hours (advertised office hours until 11pm) but the office was closed and no staff members could be found on property. A family with kids was also trying to check in at that time with no luck. We had to find another hotel to stay at that night. Hoping to get at least a refund of our room rate, fees and taxes but no luck with that yet either.

Paid for room. Showed up at 8:00PM, was told no rooms were ready, come back in an hour and a half. Came back at 10:00PM, doors were locked with a note on the window that no more guests would be checked in the entire weekend. Had to book another room 30 minutes away and fight Expedia for the refund. Hotel refuses to answer phone. Expedia won't give a refund. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I showed up in order to stay one night with my family. I was told my room was not ready and due to that I was upgraded to a suite after waiting two hours I was told to come back in an hour after three hours. I was told that my room would not be ready and they had no rooms available That I needed to find another hotel. The staff is poorly professional. The housekeeping looks like they are on drugs. I had somebody tell me they were waiting eight hours for blankets to be put in their room. That place definitely is not family friendly.

The staff was very helpful and polite! They offered up any suggestions and we had an outage the last night we were there and the manager was onsite with a flashlight giving us updates on the weather and outage while we waited!

I couldn’t get in my room when I got back. I tried contacting the on site manager (by phone and knocking on the door) and no answer! I had to sleep in my car for the night. The next morning I was finally able to contact the manager and requested a refund. I was denied. Never again will I stay here!!

While the ladies at night were extremely apologetic doesn't change the fact they (the facility itself not the staff) were overbooked and sending people to rooms that were already occupied. We arrived to check in around 8:30 pm and didnt get a room until 2:00 am. The room we had, the sheets were dirty and regardless of it being a smoke free room, smelled like cigarette smoke and dog pee even though i was told housekeeping spent 2 hours cleaning the room. After attempting to get us another room they found out the toilet was broken, so we had to take the oroginal room anyways. They had the sheets switched out and attempted to get the smell out again. But the cigarette & dog pee smell was there the entire weekend.

The only reason I got a room was because I was the first in line at check in. I waited 2 hours. My sister and mother in law were not as lucky and had to drive all the way to Vegas because they cancelled her reservation because they overbooked.

Staff were extremely rude. After a 45 minute wait in the lobby standing behind many frustrated customers, I was told by a desk staff that they were cancelling room reservation due to being overbooked. I was charged by Expedia, and I want a refund.

Best deal in Bullhead City... Nice place near everything. They have river view suites and a pool. What's not to like? Really nice.

I liked that they had the ability to take pets. There were two restaurants close and two coffee shops close by as well.

It is an older property, but our room was very clean. There was no trash can in the room. We could never get the television to work. The television could not receive live TV and at the top of the screen, there was the caption "Family Room TV," which indicates it had a prior life as someone's personal television. The pillows were very thin. The night clerk was friendly, courteous, and helpful. All we wanted was a place to sleep for the night and the Lodge on the River served that purpose, plus we got a good rate booking the room through Expedia. The room was also convenient to restaurants in Bullhead City and very close to the resort city of Laughlin, Nevada.

The property is conveniently located and could was by the river. Nice view of the river if you had a pool room (one that backed up to the pool). The room was average but didn't expect too much because the room was fairly inexpensive. Furnishings in the room needed to be updated--although I talked to the front desk who said management is slowly doing a refurb on all the rooms. All in all it was a decent place to stay. I would stay there again.

Reserve at your own risk ⚠️ I Do not recommend. The property is very dirty. The first room 201 upstairs did not have a trash can. The bed was so sqeeky. The Tv did not work. They gave me another room 228. We had to ask for a shower curtain. The bed was better. They offer frozen breakfast burritos that they warm up as breakfast. There coffee creamer were expired. I had to throw away the coffees.

Old and wery used. The pool was damaged and we did not want to swin in it. The madras in the bed was broken, and it hearts the bag. There were no breakfast, even though we had payed for it. Just a little muffin, an appel and coffee. Even the juice mashine, delivered only water.

Don\'t stay Here! It is a 60 year old Hotel. Owner does not keep updated. It is rundown and dirty, Curtains need to be cleaned, walls are beatup and stained in many places. Breakfast is a joke. apples, oranges. Orange juice machine doesn\'t work. Rooms are missing electrical covers, trash cans, hair dryer. 1 washcloth, 1 hand towel, 2 bath towels for 2 people. There is no cable tv. only streaming tv. it doesn\'t work, enter codes, office suppose to activate But they never do. I asked repeatedly and even walked down to the office. I got a lot of "We will take care of it" but never did. There were many unhappy customers with complaints worse than mine. Sheets with cigarette holes, dirty bed linen. I have pictures of before and after my stay. Curtain to the balcony was filthy, they need to take down and clean. There are spots of nail polish or something green all over the places. Spots on the walls. The flooring is coming up in different areas because who ever did the floor did a cheap job. the bathroom door doesn\'t close unless you lift it because the floor is very uneven there. the door stops need to be replaced. All, I can say is my room was swept/mopped clean. Counters were clean, mirror\'s were clean, bath was clean, The couch has stains on it, the chair in the room was filthy, we didn\'t sit in those. We brought our own chairs. I would never stay here again. Blonde hair lady is manager. She nice but deceptive. Says what will shut you up and you go away.

I wait 2hours at the check in. The hotel was horrible! No breakfast on 2 days, the pool was closed! No clean towels and no tissue in the room. My key room was not working because the lock was broken! I found some long black hairs in the bathroom.

The worst bathroom we ever stayed in. Not enough towels provided. Bath was beyond unpleasant, outdated, yellowish and rusty. Sink and toilet the same. Cables sticking out of the wall. Non working TV and internet (which was not their fault) but they didn’t care much, no compensation provided! Breakfast extremely limited (just slices of bread individually wrapped in plastic foil, some muffins, some juice concentrate and coffee) low amount of these. Pool was dirty (and it’s not heated). Pool chair was broken. I’m not surprised they don’t do refunds….. We paid too much for this experience. Never again!

First of all, it took us 45 minutes to get checked in. When we got our room there was no TV controller but when we went to ask for it the lady in office told us she was going to take it to our room but it never came . We asked for clean towels and they were not provided oh.. and talk about free breakfast.. suck!!! There was nothing. First time and last time we'll stay there .

Great staff! Enjoy the location and view. Bring your own breafast though.
